BUYER BEWARE - Read the contract! - We placed an order of what we wanted for our home, the installers came out and stated that the type of product could not be installed on our floorThis we were told is our fault as home owners because we should have known that gypsum flooring cannot take some tiles and carpetsThe sales rep came back out to show us more options, non of which we likedWe went on We canceled - NO REFUND OF DEPOSIT! -- I was told on a Recorded line that the date of the contract you have days to cancel and since too much time passed they are not willing to refund the depositI informed them that this was a mistake by the sales rep as he was the one selling us the product and knew that we had gypsum flooring Make sure your sales rep know everything about your floor, this was a costly mistake for my family.?

Express Flooring was an outrageous concept for sellingIt would make sense if what they claimed was true but they do not represent themselves well at allThey have hardly any selection, claim that it is all commercial grade materials, and if you don't act fast it is going going goneHa - funny thing was I told them I would let them know my answer the follow morning and when I told them I was not going forward with the purchase because the value did not match price, they called me back and offered to do the job for 25% lessI thought the product was going to be gone - ha, it's still there and heavily discounted a mere hours laterVery insulting and I hate to see other people treated like this as well! This is a shady operation! There are way better flooring companies to do business with
I recently had Express Flooring out for a "free" estimateI told the guy who showed up that my budge was at max was 6000.00, he showed me colors, which none I was super in love with, but I said I liked one, he measured my rooms to be done, then came back and quoted a price of about which was more than my budget, when I told him that was too much and I couldn't afford it, he said well why did I waste his time coming out here if you couldn't afford it, that he drove a long ways to get to my house, I again reminded him of my budget, he said well I can lower it to but he was going to not do everything I wanted, and he eliminated some of the closetsI said no,I think I will pass, he then said he would do it for 6000.00, I was still not sure I wanted to proceed, as I thought I was just getting a quote, I asked if I could think about it, he said NOIf he left this offer left with him, So I felt pressured into signing, which I didI put a $deposit downAfter sleeping on it and stressing, I went days later and cancelled my order ( I had days to cancel), I was told I would get my deposit back within daysWell weeks have went by and no $ in the mail, I emailed them about it and received a call that they had just cut the check the day beforeWhen I questioned why it took so long as I was told days, the person had no answer, accept they get busy, well they weren't to busy to cash my check the day after I signed but its been almost a month waiting to get my money back, when I continued to question their service and how they do business, the guy got rude with me and told me I can read into it whatever I wantI tried to say I am not reading anything into it, I am stating the facts, he just kept saying the same thing overWell needless to say I will NEVER do business with them and will NEVER recommend them to anyone I knowThis was the worst experience everI guess its true nothing in this world is free, not even their estimates
Over the Summer 2016, we decided to replace 100% of the flooring in our >sq ft homeThis required both carpet and 24xtile, with the tile representing about 2/(or 2000ft) of the job, I'm guessing We chose Express Flooring (Express Home Services LLC) Here are some pointers, and an interesting twist, which results in my positive review: Sales Process, Contract, Payment Terms: 1) Understand that when the salesperson shows up, THIS is your opportunity to get your needs into the contract The salespeople want the signature, and they want it on that first visit My perception is that Express gives a lot of autonomy to their salespeople Virtually anything can be handwritten and initialed (signed off) by them What is critical is that you TAKE ALL THE TIME NEEDED and read the front and back of that contract completely 2) The contract calls for 50% down at that time the salesperson is there and the order is placed This strikes me as and fine It then calls for the balance to be paid WHEN THE INSTALLER(S) ARRIVE Get this waived This isn't critical of Express Flooring per se, it's just ridiculous on the whole for any contractor to require If you owe them nothing before they even do the job, you have absolutely no leverage, period And there's no reason to pay until the job is complete Have your salesperson waive that requirement with a note that says you will pay upon completion and satisfaction It's that simple They will do so in order to get your business 3) After the job is completed, if there's something pending, do not make that final payment until your job is complete In the event this is drawn out, note that any contractor could begin the Mechanics Lien process This is a relatively thing to have happen Do not let this stress you, but if that process HAS started, be sure and remit your payment only to an EMPLOYEE of Express Flooring (not a subcontractor) and require that they sign an "Unconditional Waiver And Release On Final Payment" If you do not have an attorney, I believe this form is readily available via Google This signed document removes their right to ever file a lien on that job, and protects you against any subcontractors doing the same 4) Verbal promises or "Oh yeah, sure!"s from the salesperson? Have each one of them pointed out to you in the contract, and if it's not there, have it writtand initialed 5) Pay particular attention to their list of items (on the back of the contract) that they will not move for you Either get those waived or be sure and make your own arrangements 6) Be sure you have a CLEAR copy of your contract before the salesperson leaves, which clearly includes any handwritten agreements Installation: 1) Express Flooring's installer representatives are subcontractors, not employees My sense is they like to claim ignorance of the contract, especially any items that may have been written-in Have it handy from #above 2) Express Flooring runs a good deal of advertisement about how they'll move all your stuff (remember to pay attention to those exceptions on the back of the contract) But the subcontractors like to say, "we don't move furniture" and if you press them, "Okay, we'll help you move stuff" "NoI'm not looking for your help moving stuff You need to move the furniture"Having said that 3) Be reasonable All loose items, knick-knacks, vases, contents of shelves, contents of drawers (or the drawers themselves), items on top of surfaces, furniture cushions, contents of closets whereby flooring is affected, etc, etc need to be moved by YOU! Express Flooring will not be packing your house up, nor should they They are not responsible for these items, neither in moving them nor in replacing them if there is damage 4) This was a big job We decided to move out to a local motel for about nine days to allow the installers complete access unimpeded This seemed like a good idea at the time, both for our sanity and theirs It was not difficult to do as there were only us two adults in the house In hindsight, this was a mistake Even if moving most of the family out, one adult needs to stay behind This will give you the opportunity to take note of anything which doesn't *appear [redacted] to be right Because something "not right" could snowball, and it could snowball into the whole job This happened in our case And while it turns out that the details of this are not important (because of Express's commitment to customer satisfaction), that snowball could be huge; it could cause someone (or both parties) a lot of frustration, money, anxiety, etc So that's my advice One person stays behind, and yes, perhaps gets in the way, but everybody just needs to deal with that If you see something that doesn't appear right and your installer doesn't explain to your comfort, require that they stop and call Express Flooring right away 5) Follow all instructions with regard to walking on newly-surfaced areas If there is a 12-hour waiting period, wait the hours No one wants to dig up and reset tiles or other flooring because your premature use caused an issue 6) If you have existing tile that's being demolished, understand this: There is going to be a mess after it's all said and done and they've left This is going to be true even if installers work very hard to tape areas off for you The particles from that demolished tile are so small that even the air circulation system will move them into your cabinets and onto your dishes and utensils even And I'm not talking a small filmit's a mess, and it's in every crevice Accept that you're going to be cleaning that up for quite some time, and do not blame the company or installers Certain measures can be taken, however, it's simply a matter of the nature of demolishing existing flooring It's unavoidable and not their fault And ultimately, over time, you will have gotten it all Result: There was indeed that snowball problem in the case of the subcontractor laying tile But here's the thing: In dealing with Express Flooring's management team, they wanted only one thing: Us as satisfied customers They solved the issue, and trust me, not in a way which was most cost effective for them They solved it in the way that gave us complete satisfaction, and in a way that did not undercut the job We were left with an installation that is absolutely pristine It's truly gorgeous, and we could not be happier with it And I would invite Express Flooring to send any prospect to our site so that they could show off their work
When I was deciding to have my house re-tiled, I chose to hire Express Flooring for the jobI signed a contract stating that my furniture would be moved and tile would be placedI paid a deposit after all the dates were agreed upon In the early morning on the day of installation, I received a call saying they were cancelling the provided service that dayI rescheduled it a week laterWith my house in disarray that week, two men arrived and moved my furniture to install the tileThey did not have the tile with them before coming to my house, so they had to leave, but then never returnedThey claimed to have returned, but someone was there the entire day and the installer DID NOT come backThe next day, only ONE man came to install the tile, and it took twice as long as they said it wouldI had to hire someone to stay at the house because of the delays While I was at work, I was told that there was a crack in my foundationI gave the installer my approval to have it fixed, however he informed me that I needed to pay extra immediatelyI called Express Flooring to tell them I was not home to pay the installer, and they said if I didn’t pay right then, the man would be removed from the jobI found this to be very threatening The installer came to my place of work after completing the jobI gave him a cashier’s check for the full amount, including the crack repairI returned home to see that none of my furniture had been moved back as was stated in the agreement and contractI threatened to complain, and that evening after 6:PM, two men came and moved the furniture back This company was very difficult to deal withThere were multiple miscommunications and it cost me extra because of thisI would HIGHLY recommend for others to seek flooring from another company
AWFUL EXPERIENCE! I promise you this will be worth the read The sales representative was amazingPersonable, well kempt and professional I paid in full in cash and scheduled weeks in advance They were supposed to be here between 9-amNo call, no show so I called to check at noonThey said they would be at my house at 2pmAgain, no call, no show so I called again at 3pm The representative said the manager would call me as soon as he was off the other line AGAIN, did not call men finally showed up at 6PMI had already pulled up all of the carpet in one room and moved all furniture except for a mattress out of both rooms(Something not required and typically done by the installers.) My dad asked the installers to move the mattress out of the room prior to beginning Instead, they cut the carpet away from the wall, THREW IT ON MY BED and then pulled my matress away from the wall on top of more carpet scraps they had just cut up When I came home from work, one of the workers had taken off his dirty over shirt and put it on my bed and along with all of his papers Infuriated at the disrespect of my personal belongings and realizing there was no way these men were going to finish the job before midnight, I called the number to explain my situation The customer service representative asked to speak with the installersAfter speaking with the rep, the installer looks at me and asks why I didn't talk to him about it in a highly confrontational manner He then goes in the room where the carpet is on my mattress, picks up the papers on the bed and sarcastically says "so these papers are what are bothering you?" I abruptly explained to him that he doesn't need to belittle me or my concernsHe replied by asking me if I wanted him to leave and I returned to my conversation with the customer service representative who over heard the conversationThe customer service representative said he was mortified and ended up calling the installers manager at homeIn the meantime, I asked the installers to collect their things and leave The confrontational one of the two looked at me, shook his head and uttered "Jesus." He then proceeded to call someone, explain he was being "kicked out of the job" and that I was "crazy." I had to ask them twice more to leave my house because they were not promptly collecting their things and leaving I am absolutely mortified that a company would treat a customer like this and that an employee would be brazen enough to talk to someone like that in person especially in front of my year old childI would highly recommend not being deceived by this company's reputable looking commercials and find someone else to work with
I can't stress strongly enough if you're having problems with them file a complaint with the [redacted] . Those complaints are the only ones Express will do anything about. Go to the [redacted] and see how fast they move. Without that [redacted] license they have nothing. The only way to make them stand by their word is to go to the ***. File your complaint with the [redacted] (***). I got fast action after I filed my complaint with the ***. They [redacted] can pull Express's license if they get too many complaints against them. IF YOU HAVE DEALT WITH THESE PEOPLE AND ARE HAVING A PROBLEMS GETTING THEM TO DO WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO, CONTACT THE [redacted] AND FILE A COMPLAINT. I FILED 2 COMPLAINTS WITH THE BBB AND NOTHING HAPPENED. Express Flooring is a reputable and professional company whose utmost goal is always customer satisfaction Please know we are very sorry that our customer is unhappy in way, regardless of the circumstances Please know there are two sides to every story and in this particular case, we feel that MrsL [redacted] requests are not warranted considering the circumstances surrounding the matter We would also like to point out that MrsL [redacted] has intentionally waited to file this complaint until after her repairs were completed By her own admittance, the only reason she filed this complaint was to try to leverage an refund of some kind We have treated this customer fairly and with urgency every step of the way Service/warranty work is common in any trade, and the need for a repair from time to time does not entitle a customer to a refund This being said, we have been in contact with customer and we have been able to reach a mutually agreeable arrangement to resolve this matter We believe that MrsL [redacted] has already notified the Revdex.com of her desire to close this complaint We are very happy to report that both our customer and the Revdex.com can consider this matter resolved at this point in timeThank you very much and please feel free to contact us if you require any additional assistance

I had a estimate for vinyl flooring, plus install For sq feet, the amount was 11,000.00! 16$ per square foot for vinyl...wow! Can get hi end laminate from home Depot w install for 7$ ..salesman was rude once I told him I wasn't able to afford it

frustration, we maintain that all actions taken our behalf are well within the agreement we entered into with *** * *** *** at the onset of our relationship In short, *** * *** *** placed an order with our company on 1/10/ They supplied us with a deposit in the amount of $which covered the cost of their order Our contract allows for a business day rescission period in which a customer can cancel their order and receive a full refund 1/10/was a Saturday, so in actuality, *** *** had full days to reconsider her decision and cancel this order with no financial impact However, *** *** did not cancel her order during this time frame We naturally moved forward with filling this order Your average consumer usually does realize the high cost in processing an order of this nature Numerous employees and/or departments are all involved in processing, sizing, and creating this order You also have to factor in the costs of the actual goods, the customizing of those goods, and the time and man hours in regards to preparing and storing those goods As with any contractor, there are terms and conditions of our agreement that protect both our customers and ourselves We allow for a reasonable time frame for a customer to reconsider their purchase But after that time frame is up, due to the expenses involved, we do notify our customer at the onset our relationship that if they cancel outside of the applicable cancellation period, than they are subject to a 25% restocking fee We understand that in this complaint, *** *** claims to have not signed this policy, however she is mis-understanding the contract she signed on this point If you refer to our contract with this customer which is attached, you will on the front page, roughly inches above *** *** signature, there is a statement that reads:"I have read the contract including the terms and conditions on the reverse side and agree to be bound by them."The reverse side of that document is also attached The very bottom of the page covers our cancellation policy As you will clearly see, that notice reads very clearly on how a customer is to cancel their order It states that a customer must mail a certified notice to our office stating they do not want the goods or services they purchased Our address is provided as well The reality of the situation is that *** *** did not contact us to cancel her order until 1/18/15, which is over a week after the order was placed This is why 25% of the contract price of this order was retained We fully understand that no customer is ever happy when a fee of this nature is assessed However, your average consumer understands that when they sign a contract, both parties have certain responsibilities they are expected to live up to With that aside, the reality is that we have an unhappy customer on our hands, and this is a situation we never want to be in We regretfully did invest a significant amount of monies into the processing of this order, but we do want to resolve this complaint and give this matter some closure In the name of good customer relations, we are willing to refund *** * *** *** an additional $ We are a reasonable company and we always want to do everything we can to resolve matters of this nature Please allow 1-weeks for this refund to be processed We are very sorry that things did not work out exactly as either our customer nor we would have ideally liked and we hope this customer and the Revdex.com know that we are always here to work through any issues our customers have Thank you for your time and please feel free to contact us if you require any further assistance on this matter
Express Flooring is a reputable and professional company whose utmost goal is always customer satisfaction In our industry, one of our biggest challenges is managing customer's expectations We can sell the same product to 1,customers and inevitably we will get 1,different
views of feedback on that same product This particular product that Mr& Mrs*** (***) purchased has been a very popular product that carries over a 99% satisfaction rate When it comes to carpeting, customer's can and will form their own opinion of any particular product When that opinion is anything less than positive, it is always and unfortunate situation In this particular case, Mrs*** contacted our office concerned with the performance of those goods Upon us visiting her home and assessing the situation, we were of the opinion that the carpeting she purchased was not only performing positively, we thought the carpeting looked very good in her well maintained and clean home Mrs***'s main concern was that the carpeting showed track marks in the traffic areas As most people know, any cut pile and very plush carpeting will move around under foot traffic When you turn vacuum over it or manipulate it with our hand, the carpet goes right back to its originally luster This is simply how carpet works and these products are manufactured to do just that This being said, Mrs*** disagreed with this assessment and insisted that something was wrong with her carpeting We in turn worked with the manufacturer of the carpeting who arranged for a third party to perform an inspection/assessment of the current condition of those goods This company was again a third party and an expert in this industry They are full certified and trained to make determinations of this nature We have attached a copy of the report they issued in regards to Mrs***'s claim As you will see on this document, not only does this show the carpet is performing as it should, but the inspector using a field evaluation scale, developed by the Carpet & Rug Institute (CRI) whom is the industry's leading resource when it comes to standards of carpet and carpet installation This evaluation showed the highest possible grade for appearance change in the carpeting This means the look of the carpeting during this inspection was comparable to brand new and uninstalled carpeting The inspector goes on to state that no manufacturing and/or installation related defects were present
From a warranty standpoint, it is easier to take care of a customer whom has a legitimate and clear cut issue You can simply fix the problem In cases of this nature, it is hard to fix something that is not broken and therefore makes the situation more complicated and harder to deal with We are very sorry that Mrs*** is unhappy and sincerely wish this was not the case But under the circumstances and considering the facts at hand, what could any reasonable person expect us to do? From a customer service standpoint we do want to make this customer happy, but she did receive the materials she purchased and we have been able to verify and document that those materials are performing for her as they should be Therefore we simply cannot agree to just give her thousands of dollars back That said, we do want to give her a few options on how to proceed that would be agreeable to us
If Mrs*** wishes to have the carpeting replaced, we would be willing to provide the labor for the installation of any new materials at no charge to her We would expect her to pay for the costs of the materials invovled, but again, we will perform the labor at no charge Or, if Mrs***'s only route to happiness through this complaint involves money, we would be willing to refund her $from a customer service standpoint in order to resolve the matter and give this complaint some closure We feel that both of these offers are reasonable considering the facts at hand and we feel we are going above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect of us We look forward to hearing back from Mrs*** on what she decidesThank you please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any additional information and/or documentation regarding this matter

carry insurance policies and protect large investments such as their home and the contents of it. Once thing we do not have control over is what type of value an insurance carrier may put on the goods that are installed. It is an unfortunate reality in today's world that many insurance companies force your average home owner to fight to receive the proper coverage. With this being said, sometimes insurance companies make mistakes as well. Once thing we can say for sure is that anyone who perceives Mr& Mrs***'s new carpeting to have merely a $value is completely off base and inaccurate. Had Mr& Mrs*** contacted us before filing this complaint, we would have explained to them that this is not the first time we have been exposed to an insurance company misquoting coverage on one of our customer's flooring. The good news is that there are means a consumer can take to verify the value of what was installed in their home.
We reached out to Mr& Mrs*** earlier today and left them a message to call us. We did so in hopes of working with them to help them through their problem. Please understand that ultimately we are not responsible for what insurance carrier any of our customer's choose, nor can we speak to what type of coverage they purchases. We also do not have the means to force any insurance company to extend any type or amount of coverage and/or compensation to one of our customers. But our customer's happiness is important to us and if we can help in any way, we most certainly want to. We can assure this customer and the Revdex.com that we will do whatever we can to help them through this situation. But for this to take place, all we need is a little dialogue & cooperation with Mr& Mrs***, who again, didn't even contact us on the matter before filing this complaint.

I am not spending another three thousand on more carpet, when I thought I was
getting quality carpet, with a ' lifetime' warrantyMy carpet is by no means the quality I was promised
by the Sales Manager This is misrepresentation!
As for the 3rd party carpet testAny carpet would look good after spending one minute brushing
a inch sq.!! After 2-months of wear, I shouldn't have to looking at matted carpeting!!
What I really would like is my carpet replaced (without any cost ) with another make of carpet But, would settle for half our money back!
