Review: we received a postcard in the mail that promised 2 free airline tickets to anywhere in the continental usa. we had to attend a travel club presentation, which we did. we were then given a card with instructions to fill out our name and address .etc., and send it along with an activation fee of $98. we were then supposed to receive our airline vouchers within 15 days. what we got instead was some more info on some other vacation packages and another info sheet about the airline vouchers. this was the first time we learned that we had to travel on tues. or wed, and only after payment of another $50, I then called and complained and said I was not going to send any more money for these FREE airline tickets, and requested a refund of my $98. the person I was talking to then told me the only way to get a refund was to email to:[redacted].we have not received any kind of response since I did that on 7/8/14. we now feel like this is nothing but a ripoff and would like our money back. they made sure that we did not get anything until our check had cleared the bank and we could not stop payment after we found out about the extra fees and not being able to travel on any day of our choosing.Desired Settlement: full refund of our $98.

Review: We attended a seminar for a Vacation Club that was sponsored by "Eagles Fly-Away Vacations" and was promised FREE round trip air fair for two and FREE hotel accommodation for 3 days and 2 nights at select hotels. As it turns out, there was a $98.00 activation fee for the Air Fare and another $50.00 activation fee for the Hotel. We sent in the activation fees. What we expected at that point is travel vouchers that could be submitted to an air lines and hotel for redemption. Upon receiving the hotel and airline package, we find out a third company working for "Eagles Fly-Away Vacations" now wants more money for the vacation deposit. These FREE vouchers are not turning out to be so free. We no longer wish to continue sending more money and want a refund of the $148.00 we have already paid.Desired Settlement: That we be refunded the $148.00 we paid on Oct 6, 2014.

We do not promise FREE vacations and have absolutely nothing to do with fulfillment or marketing. I am quite certain that the client did sign document stating that she was aware of additional fees restrictions and surcharges. Have her return all docs along with copy of processed check as verification and letter stating reason for refund request. Once I receive requested documentation, I will process her refund less a 10% re-stock fee. All of our certificates carry the following disclaimer:
Review: I, along with my husband attended a vacation seminar with the promise of 2 free airline tickets anywhere in the continental U.S. and 3 day luxury hotel stay. After sitting through the presentation and declining their program we were told to receive the "free" vouchers I would have to submit payment for the "taxes and fees" a combined total of $148.00 After sending the monies, I have yet to receive the tickets/vouchers but have received requests for more money, which I did NOT send. I have sent emails and been given different phone numbers to call but keep going around in circles. The "email people" say call the office. The office people answer the phone, do not speak, then hang up. Today I actually had a REAL PERSON answer the say "closed for the holiday" and hang up!Desired Settlement: I want my $148.00 back, in full.

Review: We mailed Eagles Fly Away Vacations $148 for a vacation package after attending a vacation presentation, We thought this was the total
cost of the package, they sent us a mailing which indicated we had to pay another $100, and then more on top of that. We
decided to cancel the package, I sent the cancelled check reciepts, the cancellation letter, and everything they sent us, as
per an email from Mr. Collin L[redacted], the refund manager at Eagles Fly Away, so far we have recieved nothing. I sent the refund
request some 2 weeks ago.Desired Settlement: Eagles Fly away indicated we had to pay a $10 "restocking fee". We shouold get back at least $138.

Review: Received "[redacted] Celebration" postcard claiming "Congratulations! We've selected you to receive two (2) round trip coach class airfares to anywhere in the continental U.S. Call within 48 hours and receive a 3 day 2 night hotel stay at [redacted] or similar hotels. To claim this special offer, simply call and mention the promo code. Call toll free ###-###-####, Mon-Fri: 9 am - 11 pm, Sat: 9 am to 6 pm."
Upon calling and providing Promo Code was told to come to 90 minute presentation at hotel in NW [redacted]. After presentation we would receive free gifts for attending presentation, even providing us Gift Claim number.
We attended presentation, did not purchase products being sold, then received two postcards and were told to mail them in to received two gifts. Upon getting home and reading the postcards to fill them out, found that both postcards require a check or money order payment in order to receive our "free" gifts!Desired Settlement: Would like to receive initial promise: two (2) round trip coach class airfares to anywhere in continental U.S. And receive a 3 day, 2 night hotel stay at [redacted] or similar hotels.
This advertising is so misleading as to take us out of our way for four hours, then promising our gifts only to find that we have to pay an "activation fee" to receive the "gifts." This is criminal and must stop. If we're being deceived in this way,
so are many other folks.

In response to **, and [redacted]'s complaint, their complaint should not be with us. We only provide certificates to other companies to market their products or services. We don't have anything to do with marketing or fulfillment of promotional offers. **. and [redacted] never transacted any business with us.I am unable to assist them at this time. Please have them review our disclaimer below.
Review: We attended an invitation event regarding a vacation "club". We knew going into the evening that for attending we would receive "free" airline tickets for 2 and a 3-day/2-night hotel stay. Once the presentation was completed, we were presented with the paperwork to mail in to receive the "free" airline tickets and hotel accommodations. But in order to receive the certificates, we had to pay $98 for the airlines portion and $50 for the hotel portion. (This was told to us at the time of the presentation). Upon receiving the "certificates" we come to realize that additional money is requested in order for us to send these certificates in. When we contacted Eagles Fly-Away Vacations via e-mail to inquire as to how much additional money is expected of a person, they did not reply. After threatening them in another email they finally answered but did not say how much more money would be needed for these "free" items. They (Charles and/or Lyla) did say that we could return the certificates for a refund since we were not satisfied with the offer.
On July 23, 2014 I mailed from our local post office a certified envelope with all of the certificates enclosed. According to the tracking number, the envelope was received in Virginia and ready for pick-up at their PO Box on July 26, 2014. The envelope was not picked up until August 2, after another email from me asking when they were going to pick the envelope up and process our return. I have emailed them a second time asking them for a date as to when we could expect our $148 refund. As of this writing, we have not heard from them.Desired Settlement: We would like to receive the original payment of $148 from Eagles Fly-Away Vacations as requested almost a month ago.

Review: Paid $148 activation fee for a Free Vacation (Hotel + Airfare) following attendance at sales presentation. We selected [redacted] as our free vacation. Subsequently received a vacation quote and was shocked to learn that payment of an additional $980 is required should we want to go-ahead and book. This additional cost would bring our total supposedly free vacation cost to $1,178 ([redacted]com offers the same vacation for $1,170, with a direct flight).
Clearly, this is not a free vacation, but Fly Away should have advised us about the significant additional costs BEFORE taking our $148 check. This is where I requested refund. The vacation materials were returned to Fly Away via [redacted] as instructed by Dan A[redacted]. It was received 10/30/14. To date no reply from Fly Away.

Regards,
Review: On July 28 2014 I receive an offer for 2 round trip airline tickets and a 2 night hotel stay. In order to receive this offer I had to pay an activation fee of $49.00 per person for airline travel and $25.00 per person for the hotel stay. The offer also included a 50% of car rental and a choice of $100 in [redacted] gift cards or $100 in dining cards. Today Aug 18 I received Information directing me to register the airline tickets and hotel stay with [redacted] Processing Center for another $50.00 vacation deposit. Also they want me to send $9.95 each for 2 $50.00 dining gift cards to an address in [redacted] NY. This is false representation and a ploy for more money.Desired Settlement: I want people to be aware of this scam. I'd like my hard earned money back.

Review: After my wife and myself listened to their presentation for well over an hour, we decided that the $8,000 vacation plan package that they presented was not for us. They proceeded to treat us very rudely and unprofessionally and presented a high pressure sales approach that we were assured would not be part of the process. However, we were not moved by their unethical tactics. The real reason for my complaint against this company is due to misleading advertising.
We were told a few things. 1.) There was no obligation to purchase anything. 2.) There would be no pressure to purchase anything. 3.) For attending and listening to their presentation, we would receive (2) "FREE" airline "VOUCHERS" for US Airlines to fly anywhere we wanted to and we would also receive (3) nights "FREE" stay at a [redacted] Hotel of our choice..... both items would be good for our use, if utilized within the next 12 months.
INSTEAD of the above, we were given (2) "CARDS" to fill out and return to their headquarters. Along with the cards, we had to send $9.95 for shipping and handling. This is not what we were told. We were specifically told that we would pick up our "vouchers" after the presentation and that the process would be at no cost to us whatsoever. ALSO, we did not receive the (3) nights stay at the [redacted] as we were told prior to attending the session.Desired Settlement: I would like a written apology from this company because of their repulsive conduct. Both myself and my wife were literally called "stupid" as the sales person stormed out of the room after we refused to purchase the over $8,000 vacation package from them. But I would also like the (3) nights "FREE" stay at the [redacted] that we were promised after we attended and listened to their sales presentation.

In response to this complaint, I have no idea why we were targeted in the first place. We do not give presentations or handle fulfillment of promotions. We simply provide certificate Incentives to companies to market their products or services. We have no record of transacting any business with your client or did we make any promises to him so I am unable to assist him at this time. If he received a certificate, he will have to follow instructions on certificate in order for him to redeem his gift.Charles C[redacted]
