Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant,Thank you for the opportunity to address and bring clarity to the concerns presented by the complainantWe have reviewed this matter and would like to present the following. The complainant acknowledged and agreed to the following agreements upon conducting business with GoDaddy:• Universal Terms of Service Agreement• Domain Name Registration Agreement• Website Builder Service Agreement The latest version of these agreements can be found at: https://www.godaddy.com/legal-agreements.aspxOn July 20, the complainant purchased GoDaddy’s Website Builder and a domain name registration, each for a one-year term, via an online transactionThis was for the period ending July 20, 2015.On July and July 21, respectively, per the complainant's account preferences, GoDaddy was instructed to automatically renew the Website Builder and domain name upon expiration and attempted to do so in a good faith effort to honor its agreements with the complainant The complainant's financial institution declined payment and the complainant was subsequently notified by email.GoDaddy sent renewal notices prior to the expiration date on:• June 20, at 4:AM MST (30-day domain renewal notice)• July 10, at 6:AM MST (10-day Website Builder renewal notice)• July 15, at 5:AM MST (5-day domain renewal notice)GoDaddy also sent notices after the expiration date on:• July 20, at 7:AM MST (first failed billing notice for Website Builder)• July 21, at 5:AM MST (first failed billing notice for domain registration)• July 25, at 6:AM MST (second failed billing for domain registration)These notices informed the customer their expiring items would be renewed in accordance with their account settings unless additional action was takenWhile GoDaddy sent expiration notices before and after the domain’s and Website Builder’s expiration dates via email, GoDaddy simply has no control over what happens to the email notice after it leaves our system or how the complainant's ISP or email client chooses to handle the email once they receive itAccount management is ultimately a customer responsibility. On July 27, 2015, the complainant’s financial institution provided updated payment information via card updater servicesGoDaddy participates in card updater services supported by the complainant’s financial institution which may automatically update expired payment methods without the complainant taking any actionThese practices are discussed within the Universal Terms of Service Agreement referenced above. On July 30, the complainant’s Website Builder was renewed for a one-year term per the complainant’s account preferencesAdditionally, on August 1, 2015, the complainant’s domain name was automatically renewed for a one-year term per their account preferences. On September 22, 2015, the complainant contacted GoDaddy’s 24/customer care center to request a refund for the automatically renewed productsDomains automatically renewed for a one year term are refundable within days of the renewal dateAny unused months of the complainant’s Website Builder product can be refunded to In-Store Credit, available for future purchases with GoDaddy.RESOLUTION:GoDaddy has upheld its agreements in good faith with the complainant and honored its terms of service. As a onetime exception to GoDaddy’s refund policy, we have refunded the full amount of the domain name registration and Website Builder renewals to the complainant’s original payment method, a total of $Future refunds will be provided in accordance with GoDaddy’s refund policy.EDUCATION:The complainant may find the following information helpful for future reference.Refund Policy:https://www.godaddy.com/help/refund-policy-8849About Credit Card Account Updater Programs:https://www.godaddy.com/help/about-credit-card-account-updater-programs... The auto renewal amount was more than times the approved amount of the previous amountI am not asking for the used portion, I am only asking refund of the remaining duration which I believe is a reasonable ask from my endthere are more years left on the contractI see there are terms in the contractI am only an individual and not a company with attorneys or legal professional review every aspect of the contractI have been a customer of GoDaddy for more than six years now and had assumed all renewals are in similar price rangenever assumed this was such a high amountI know I realized I was over charged very late which is why I am not asking for first year but for the reminder of the term

I contacted customer service when I was not able to change my renewal to year instead of without adding additional services Instead of changing the renewal to year, they renewed it for years plus an additional year At no time did the representative that was helping me remove the additional services mention anything about the year renewal Even the email notice that I received on a Saturday (non-business day) indicating that my domain was getting ready to renew didn't mention anything about year It simply stated $14.99/yr It did not mention years but it did say that some domains are billed days before the renewal date Less than a week later, I received a renewal receipt, which was the first indication that I had about years and is what I was trying to correct to year when I logged in I thought I was correcting the year renewal to year and had absolutely no idea that I was being charged for an additional year instead of just one year until I received my credit card bill Had I not looked at my credit card bill, I would never have known that I had been charged for a total of years instead of 1.At best, GoDaddy materially misrepresented the renewal term and fee and intentionally deceived me by failing to provide the term and total fee in the initial renewal notice

Hi,I have reviewed the response from GoDaddy, and do not accept the response Among the things that were not addressed were how a customer is supposed to measure the "inode limit," in addition to an "inode limit" not being mentioned anywhere upon point-of-sale (including the "agreements" linked to by GoDaddy in the last response, which did not include an "inode limit" when I read them upon ordering the service) The agreement I signed up under including web support, which GoDaddy pulled without informing myself (the customer) in the midst of my agreement, which should, ethically, be enough to null the service agreement and justify a full refund.GoDaddy defined the inode limit as a way to restrict the "number" of files allowed, but then mentioned that there was a single undeliverable e-mail that was causing a bulk of my inode usage, which does not match up with GoDaddy's definition of what an inode limit is GoDaddy then mentioned that they made several changes to allow me to continue using my hosting account, including deleting the aforementioned "undeliverable e-mail" which was causing a "bounceback," however, my current inode limit is 220,000/250,000, and has been that way since I filed the Revdex.com complaint That number drastically fluctuates towards the 250,limit whenever I work on the site, rendering the service unusable, and appears to have nothing to do with "number of files," as GoDaddy mentioned. For the record, I do not believe that the "undeliverable e-mail" ever existed (GoDaddy did not provide any details regarding said e-mail) Most of my e-mails I have set up are forwarders that only accept inbound e-mails, with only two mailboxes—neither of which I really use to send outbound e-mails) Regardless, I'm not sure how my "e-mail" accounts relates to the inode limit of my "hosting" account On GoDaddy's website, they're two separate accounts.Thank you, [redacted] ***

Thank you for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by our customerOur customer acknowledged and agreed to GoDaddy's agreements upon conducting business with GoDaddyThe latest version of these agreements can be found at: https://www.godaddy.com/legal-agreements.aspx On June 6, our customer contacted GoDaddy’s customer care team via chat interface, stating their website was intermittently unavailableAs with all service providers, GoDaddy had unexpected technical issues and worked quickly and vigorously to resolve them and minimize any impact to our customerAfter this was resolved, our customer’s website continued to experience resource performance issues which was determined to be caused by their website content over-utilizing the shared hosting server.RESOLUTION:GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service. At this time, our customer has not contacted GoDaddy’s customer care teams with any further issuesAs a goodwill gesture we have added a one-month renewal to their hosting plan at no costShould our customer have any further issues they may contact GoDaddy’s 24/customer care teams at 480-505-or via chat support.godaddy.comWe appreciate our customer's candid feedback about our service levels and will ensure their concerns are fully reviewed by our customer care managers in an effort to identify improvement opportunitiesGoDaddy strives to offer the best service levels in the industry.Thank you again for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by our customer.Kindest regards,Gary H [redacted] Office of the CEO - GoDaddy

Thank you for the opportunity to address our customer's concerns.Upon conducting business with GoDaddy, our customer acknowledged and accepted our agreements, found at [redacted] On September 17 and 18, 2017, our customer activated two separate 30-day trials of... GoCentral, GoDaddy’s proprietary online website builder. During the trial period, customers can select to renew the product on a yearly or monthly basis. If our customers wish to extend the site monthly, they can purchase a one-month term prior to the expiration of the 30 days. It appears that our customer has utilized one of these trials for their website, renewing per account preferences on a monthly basis. The second GoCentral website builder has also renewed between October 2017 and January 2018 on a monthly basis per our customer’s account preferences. With each renewal, our customer was sent a receipt via email. On January 18, 2018, our customer contacted our Customer Care team to request a refund for the renewals for the second GoCentral plan not related to their active website. While our care team was able to refund the most recent renewal, our customer was correctly informed previous renewals were non-refundable per our Refund Policy.RESOLUTION:GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service. As a goodwill gesture, we have refunded the additional renewals of the second GoCentral plan, totaling $35.97. Future refunds will be provided in accordance with our Refund Policy: [redacted] Thank you again for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by our customer.Kindest regards,Mike L***Office of the CEO - GoDaddy
