It has been three weeks since Couturecandy.com signed for and received my return dress which was in perfect condition, seeing as it was tried on once and immediately boxed back up for return. I have contacted them 4 separate times. Two responses were both the same generic information and two have gone unanswered. I followed all of the criteria they set forth in order to receive store credit and they have not followed through with their part. They now have the dress and my $374. At this point, they have stolen my money. All I am asking is my store credit be issued so I may order another dress in time for my event. This is a very shady business with poor business practices.

Placed an order online, made payment, money was taken from my account, no contact afterwards. I have called and emailed and I still have not received a tracking number or delivery status. Nothing. No replies to my contact whatsoever.

I ordered gown item #GL***, order #2***. This order was placed by me over the phone. I was assured that this could be returned for any reason for a 100% refund. It was for my daughter’s wedding. I was also told that I only had 5 days in which to return the gown. I received it Thursday, February 20th. I phoned the number on Friday even and the recording said they were closed till Monday. I sent an email on Friday to [email protected] advising them that the dress not only didn’t fit but was unsuitable for the wedding. I included my phone number as well as my email and asked for a return authorization. By February 25th I hadn’t heard anything so I called and spoke to a woman named Leslie who said the gown was NOT refundable. I explained what had happened when I spoke with their representative when ordering and she said she will speak to her supervisor and I was to be “On the lookout” for an email from her. After hearing nothing by February 27thn, I called again and spoke to a woman named AI who said that she can see in her files that my order was placed on line AND that I never sent an email requesting anything and the gown was not refundable. I asked for their address and presidents name and was told that then;resident was Eric. I asked if Eric had a last name and she said she couldn’t give it out. I asked to speak to Tessa the woman she said was her supervisor and she said I’ll hear from her “soon”. The gown was $165 which isn’t a fortune especially since I was prepared to spend $1,700 on a dress in the bridal shop where my daughter got her wedding gown. It’s the principle of calling me a liar, insisting that I ordered on line and that I never spoke to anyone, saying I never emailed them and refusing to refund me the cost of the gown. Had I done my due diligence, I would have seen that they have only one star on Yelp and two stars on Revdex.com. I haven’t been able to find one review that wasn’t absolutely horrible. However just because I didn’t spend hours researching their legitimacy, I still think they need to refund me my money. Something has to be done about these shady sites. They’re ripping people off at a most vulnerable time usually when planning a wedding or prom and refuse to stand behind any of their statements or products. My daughter warned me against ordering from them because she doesn’t trust ordering anything from an unknown entity (I guess I raised her to be smarter than I am). I just thought the dress was sweet and the style I was looking for and the FACT that they said I could return it made me ignore my daughter’s well advised instincts. So buyer beware...I want my money back, it’s a matter of principle at this point.

However, this is a fault of our Salesperson as she did not saw that this is a Final Sale and non-returnable. As a way of sorry, would you accept to return the dress at our warehouse address? If we got the dress back on our warehouse, I'll have this refund 100% on your card.

I purchased a dress from this website and paid $24 for 3 day shipping. The order was purchased on a Monday evening and was for an event I had yesterday (Sat 2-22-2020). The order still has no available tracking information and customer service will not cancel my order because they said the order has already been confirmed. I’ve wasted $107 on a dress I don’t even need now and on a dress I have not even received. They immediately charged my card but did not ship the purchase. This site is obviously unreliable and false advertisement and with it being a site that sells formal gowns it could really put people in binds when they are relying on the product and then do not receive it but the money is taken that they could use towards the purchase somewhere else since they need the dress! I was left scrounging for a dress last minute the day before my event and $107 in the hole with nothing to show!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 14177250, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have decided to keep the dress to sell myself. Thank you for getting back to me. My only request would be to make others aware in the future to not expect the dress by not offering 3 day shipping if it cannot be fulfilled. Otherwise dress was received 9 days after ordering in new condition and as ordered. My only complaint is the shipping was paid as 3 day shipping and received 9 days later.

I ordered a dress that came in a completely different color and looked nothing like the picture shown. I followed the return policy, sent the dress back untouched and unopened within the five day period. The store issued me a credit for $382. Since then I've picked out two dresses and have attempted to use my store credit and I continue to get an error message. After many many e mails back and forth telling me to the exact same thing, I still can't use the credit. I called them and was put on hold for a very long time, then a message told me that unfortunately they can't take my call.
On their site they have many wonderful reviews, but I am experiencing the exact opposite. Online, off the Couture Candy site, I'm reading many reviews from people who are having the same experience as me. I'm beginning to think this business is a scam.

This is the worst business I have ever ordered from or have done business with. It says on their website that you can return a dress for store credit (since the dress did not gfit), what they fail to tell you is that you have to pay return shipping plus what it cost them to send it to you orginally which was 50.00!! So, 75.00 later I got store credit. Then, when I finally used my store credit to order a different dress, I placed the order and then was called multiple days later to say it was no longer available. I chose another size and when that dress arrived it was defective. I have multiple calls and emails in to them, the only thing they would offer me is 10% refund (35.00) to fix the defect. There is no seamstress that would only charge that amount to fix the straps on the dress (which is a corset back and the strings are attached to the dress and shouldn't be) and there are no more sizes available. I do not know any other business that wouldn't offer to actually fix this situation or offer some sort of decent discount for the defective dress. DO NOT BUY A DRESS FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Do not order from them! Their return policy is terrible. I had a dress with a bad zipper and they wouldn’t accept the return. All I wanted was store credit!

I ordered an expensive gown which did not fit. I wanted to send it back the same day it was received with all tags on because it did not fit. They will not provide a return number which is needed to send it back. The dress with all tags on was ready to be returned same day it was received. They will not answer phone or respond to emails.

I ordered a dress (Order # 1***9) from vender and returned it upon the exact instructions that they had on their website. I should have received a full store credit but they were adamant that I returned it late (FEDEX tracking # XXXXXXX3931). After 12 emails and multiple attempts of calling the company I just decided that I'll receive my store credit -20%. After several attempts of asking for my store credit they finally provided me an Account Activation email where I was able to sign in and proceed with making a purchase.

I place an order for 4 dresses (order # 1***4) which should have cost me $38.00 since I had a credit of $274.00. Upon checking out the store credit did not post against my order and I was charged $312.00. I have since sent 4 emails requesting a refund to my credit card and have called numerous times and every time after sitting on the phone waiting 10 mins I am forced to give them a voice mail where I have asked for a refund to my order every time.

I bought a dress 10 days ago for over 500 dollars. They will not allow me to return it, claim nothing is wrong with it. It is the wrong dress for my daughter's wedding. I just want a refund and get anywhere with them!

I purchased two dresses from Couture Candy, one didn't fit me and the other was a complete different color and they won't issue me a refund.
The one that didn't fit me they said that I sent back without the original tags and that is not true. it either didn't come with one or it got removed at their end.
The second dress I had ordered a ivory color and it was sent to me a very white dress that looks like a wedding dress, so I couldn't use and all I wanted it was the right color. I never received a authorization code to send it back.

Their return policy is horrible. Things happen. You're stuck with a store credit. 6 months. No one buys long dresses that quickly. Especially mother of the bride/groom. Total *** and should not be allowed to continue!

I purchased 4 dresses for my daughter and myself for events on a weekend. I paid the expedited shipping as I needed them on a Friday. They arrived Thursday. One was damaged in shipping. The other 3 were completely not as described on their website with respect to quality, faulty zipper on one and sizing was completely off. The dresses pattern on one did not even hang correctly as it was sewn wrong. I shipped them back that same day to them and wanted a full refund. They only offered me a restocking fee option and I would lose $800. Plus I paid $100 to ship back defective dresses. They have bullied me by email as a put a dispute with my credit card company. Bottom line. No consumer should have to pay a restocking fee for merchandise that was defective and or damaged in shipping. They have had the dresses back in their possession since November 6th.

The company promised us a refund of $308.00 after we returned a dress that we received in the wrong color. After several days of not receiving the refund we filed a claim with Bank of America. We then received an email from Customer Support Supervisor-T*** who stated if we removed the dispute she would process our refund. We removed the dispute and sent her documentation via email. She stated they couldn't read it, so we scanned the letter from the bank and emailed it to her. She again said they couldn't read it, although both documents were crystal clear! They have continued to give us the run around and refuse to give us our refund after we have returned their product. We are out of $308.00!! This company is a rip off and needs to be held accountable! Please assist with getting my money back from these crooks!

I placed an order for a dress for my wedding on 11/19 and was charged immediately for the $900. I received an email the next day on 11/20 stating that the dress is not in stock and they are cancelling my order. IN THE EMAIL, it states that they are forwarding my account for a refund and I should receive a refund in 7-10 business days (this alone is absolutely ridiculous - charging me in full for a dress you do not have). Fast forward 3 weeks later and there is still no refund on my card. I emailed their customer service 3 times with no response. I left a voicemail for their customer service (since I live in NY) and never received a response. Finally got a hold of someone at customer service and she tells me that they are holding on to my money so they can send me the dress when it is in stock - EVEN THOUGH THE DRESS IS IN STOCK AFTER MY WEDDING AND I WAS TOLD I WAS RECEIVING A REFUND IMMEDIATELY. She tells me again that she will forward my account for a refund - 3 days later, still nothing. What a joke this company is stealing from their customers! They would never send me a dress if I didn't pay for it so why would they charge me (and KEEP MY MONEY for a month) for something they never sent me?

First of all the variety of dresses is very pleasing and beautiful. Second, the availability and convenience of the customer service are just appalling. Any complaint, they would help solve immediately. They also shipped my dress quickly enough that I was able to try on my dress in time for the event. I truly recommend this website! “Amazing service”

I already emailed the business and they told me they would not respond favorably to my request, but I decided to file this complaint here because someone at a higher level in the company may see it and change the response. I bought an expensive dress that was delivered on October 3. I thought I had read the return period was one month, but it turns I had made a mistake, it was 3 weeks, and I tried to return the item one day after the window had expired. They refused to allow any flexibility and it's a very expensive dress. I think it would have been of good faith to allow me the return, obviously inspecting the item to confirm that it was immaculate, unworn.

I had just now very bad experience with this company. If I would read all customer reviews I would NEVER deal with this company. I had the same experience as all others. Lost 500+ and now have to look for another dress.
This business is a total internet sham and should be shut down. Do not buy from this business!
