Review: Despite several cease and desist orders sent to the company, their collections department continue to call and email. I am not even 30 days late on my payment! my payment is 10 days late right now. I initially sent the request to ###-###-#### got from Revdex.com site [redacted]) on 5/23/13 and continued to do so until they faxed me back indicating that I had the wrong fax number and to stop faxing them. They don't provide a fax number on the www.checkngo.com site and there isn't a corporate site for [redacted] Financial nor Southwestern & Pacific Specialty Finance (parent company). I located the fax number from [redacted] and started faxing them at that number. I will call them and attempt to verify the fax number. If unsuccessful, I will post an update here.Desired Settlement: want them to abide by my consumer rights and communicate via postage mail only. That's all I ask.

Review: I have borrowed $19,600 from Checkngo in the past year and a half, and have paid $10,563.16 in interest alone. After research I have discovered that Checkngo is able to evade predatory lending laws in [redacted] by masking fees in the form of 'CSO' fees instead of interest fees. I have been unable to get out from under these continuous fees, and on Friday, 2/22/13 I sent an ACH revocation letter along with information indicating that all contact regarding payment for this balance occur through email for my records. It was my hope to come to a settlement arrangement with Checkngo that would allow me to get out of the high fees and interest in a way that still allowed me to pay my monthly bills. On Monday, 2/25/2013 Checkngo continued to debit money from my account after an ACH revocation. I called the company on 2/25/13, and was told that this matter would be handled promptly. The amount did not clear my account, and I awaited an email to arrange for a suitable payment plan (as indicated in the email I sent checkngo twice at this point, and referred to in the conversation with the sales manager). After sending information stating that I was to be contacted through email only, I received 5 phone calls to my personal cell phone and 3 to my work, along with a voicemail left on my work phone. On 3/1/2013 I answered a call, incurring usage charges on my cell phone, to explain to a representative that I needed all contact regarding the payment to be made via email. She stated that she would note the account, and 'best of luck'. On March 4th I received my first email correspondence from checkngo, stating that I had been reported to a credit reporting agency for lack of payment on the account balance.Desired Settlement: I need any marks on my credit report to be remediated, and a settlement offer for the balance due to be made via email contact, as requested on 2/22/2013.

Ms. [redacted],
Review: I received a notice that states that I entered into contract on 12/10/2014 for a loan of $1710.61. I have never done business with this company. Never took out a loan with this company. I called to inquire about this loan. I gave them the account number listed on the collections notice and my name. They then asked for my social security number and I refused to tell them. They then transferred me to their fraud department. They instructed me to go to the website www.teamupagainstfraud.com to file a report. This website is not an independent site from ChecknGo. It is their site. I am leery about giving them any information at all. I have read at consumer afffairs.com about this happening to other people. I am afraid to use their site. I will post an alert on the three big credit reporting firms, [redacted], and [redacted].Desired Settlement: I believe this is a scam to get people's information. There was no need for them to ask for a social security number when I had an account number. I also want to bring attention to this in case they try this with another person.

Review: I applied to Check-n-Go online on Saturday, May,17,2014 and was asked for info including my bank and debit card information. After which I was told I had been approved then being asked to upload and submit payment stubs,a bank statement and a benefits verification letter. After doing so, I received a call that my phone displayed as a spam number telling me I had to sign up with a credit agency to receive my credit score before my loan could be approved. I have never had to do this with any other loan company. And I am now worried what they will do with personal information.Desired Settlement: I want verification in writing that my personal information is deleted and no longer in their possession.

Review: I went to business on 12/04/12 to make a payment on my loan, when I went in I didn't have enough money and I gave them permission to put it through on my bank account. On December 11th I received 4 phone calls stating that I was due in for a payment. I called back and asked why were they calling me as they got their money on December 5th. the rep I talked to put the manager on the phone.
The manager said he called my work and they told him they never heard of me. Which is not true because they have my check stub. I asked why are you calling, he never gave me a reason. They took out the payment on 12/05/12 and they called asking for a payment on 12/11/12 when the loan was paid off. Two weeks later I went in to get another loan and on 01/14/13 I went in to make a payment. I was supposed to pay $180 but I paid $200. She pulled up my account and they already took the money out on 01/07/13. I asked for the $200 back and the manager leaned over and told her not to give my money back, he was saying that I still owed them money. I told him that my account was current and I wanted my money back.
I asked to use the phone and they wouldn't let me use the phone after I told them I was calling the police. He told me to get out of his store and he didn't want my business and I better keep my account current. When I went out to my car to get my cell phone to call 911 he yelled out to his employee to give my money back. I left and went to my bank and found out he took the money out on 01/08/13. I called the district manager and he said he would check into it and he never called me back.Desired Settlement: I would like to transfer my account to another branch with different personal that are more professional. If there are any fees for the bank transfer I would like the fees refunded.

Review: [redacted] contact number [redacted] who is a Paralegal at Check 'n Go is refusing to let me honor an existing agreement I have with his company. My account was sold to another company and he is refusing to return my emails and phone calls to at least let me know where my account is currently being serviced. I have been getting threatening phone calls at work from a very unprofessional person who now has my social security number and all my personal info. The person claiming to now have the account gave me a false number and address.Desired Settlement: I want to know the company that they sold my debt to and how much that debt is for and the phone number and address for the company who now owns that debt.

If it is true that you still own my account, why am I receiving calls from a third party calls at work indicating that they now own my account. These people have my home address, my social security number and they are threatening to garnish my wadges. I did not give them this info so you must of of had a security breach of some sort. Since you can not properly verify that you own this debt I want a letter and email indicating that it has been canceled. This entire ordeal is causing me stress and anxiety and my next step is to complete the paperwork and pay the $300 for a small claims case against Check'nGo. If my personal information was compromised I should of received an email indicating this so I could take the proper steps to insure my security.

[redacted] who is a collections representative with [redacted] address [redacted] contacted me at work to tell me that Check n Go transferred my account to his company. According to [redacted] he was in the process of contacting HR to set up a wage garnishment on my behalf. This person had my Social Security number my work number and address as well as other personal info that I gave to Check n Go in the process of completing my loan application. Now I am concerned that any day my wages can be garnished and I also have a debt to Checkngo. You can imagine the stress that this would cause someone. Checkngo Needs to send me a letter indicating a zero balance at which point I will direct all my efforts to [redacted]l. If Checkngo is unwilling to do this then they need to be prepared to pay for the legal fees that I will incur against [redacted]

Response:
Check n' Go Confirms that this debt was never sold or placed with a collections company. The last outbound call to this customer was 09/11/2012 and the quarantine was placed on debt on 10/12/2012. The quarantine prevents future contact and any selling or placement of the debt. On 2/3/2013, this customer contacted our collections department in regards to this complaint. During the call, we confirmed that we still own the debt, that it hasn't been sold or placed, and offered a settlement of the debt. It is the belief of this company that the collectors to which you speak are doing so on behalf of another company.

You indicated in an earlier communication that if I gave you the business name of the company that contacted me you would open up an investigation, would you please let me know the result of that investigation. In addition to the before mentioned would you please state your name for the record and tell me the results of the investigation as to whether or not any of my personal information has been compromised by an outside party. In closing I would to once again say that the company who contacted me is not another debt for reasons that I have previously stated.

Review: A loan was fraudulently taken out in my name, Check N Go refuses to divulge what information was used to obtain the loan without a subpoena. Persons identifying themselves as representatives of Check N Go have called my workplace to encourage me to repay this loan; they have been informed that the loan is fraudulent and that all paperwork has been submitted. They agree that I am disputing the loan and that it is under review but, state that they will continue to try to collect the amount due from me. Each time they called me at work, I have asked them not to call me at work. I have been in contact with a member of the fraud team and consider this disruptive contact harassment.Desired Settlement: Closure of fraudulent account, removal of fraudulent loan from credit reports, and to cease contact/ collection processes.

Review: I currently have an installment loan with this company. I have not been late on any payments and am not in default on any payments. I contacted the company to discuss assistance with repayment. I spoke to four different individuals and no one was able to assist me. I was told that the payments for an installment loan are "written in stone" and there is absolutely no possible way to change any of the payment arrangements. I have been a very good customer for this company and am frustrated that there is absolutely nothing they can do to assist me. Horrible customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like to renegotiate my installment loan and lower the payments and/or extend the payments.

Review: Our car needed a new part and we wanted to borrow the money since payday was 2 weeks away. My husbend and I applied for a loan online at checkngo.com. The application was fast, it said approved an email would be sent when the funds were deposited. The next I received an email saying they needed copies of ssn card, id, 3 recent paystubs, 90 days worth of bank statements, copy of a utility bill and W2 or recent tax return. I set about collecting all documents, calling customer service at one point to ask if certain documents were okay and ask if it was okay to use my husbands federal id since he has a greencard and we just moved to ohio and do not have a state id yet. I was told yes that's fine. So I uploaded all documents by 4pmcall and proceeded to wait. Each day I checked to status. Calling customer support was a joke. The automated system would not give me a live person if I selected that I was calling about a application. It just told these documents were needed. So I had to lie and say I wanted to applie for a new loan. They could tell me nothing more then yes the documents had been received and it would 24 to 48 business hours for manual review. So I waited and waited with no change. Friday morning I received an email stating my app would auto void the following day if there was no response. I called and was told this is just an automated response my loan was still being reviewed and the documents were uploaded and okay.Saturday the website told me I can applie for a new loan. My application had expired. Customer service explained my application was still in the manuel reivew file however the application was expired. So I could applie for a new one, and may be subjected to the same review. I can't believe people in their hour of need are treated this way. Never ever again will use them or reconmend them to others in need. I'm not convinced either this wasn't just because my husband has a greencardeither.Desired Settlement: I don't know if there is anything they could give me. I'm disgusted, disapointed and mad. My husband makes more then enough to pay back the loan we requested. I make more then enough. Together this loan would have been paid with no problem what so ever.

Review: I have had a loan with this agency for some time and they automatically deduct my payments of about $200 every other week. I recevied a call last week from [redacted] at the Pleasanton location as a reminder to make a payment. When I called him to advise of auto deduction from my checking account he advised that I was overdue on one payment. I asked how can that be when it was set up through my bank acct. I advised him that I had asked for a delay in one payment in the past due to a family leave. I had no money to cover the one payment due to this unforseen life's event and the employee that served me advised that the payment could be postponed. He further advised that it could be added on to the end of the loan for payment. [redacted] said that the employee gave me wrong information, that it was against my contract, and I would have to pay a double payment to make me current, or refinance my load to take care of this. The employee that gave me incorrect information is no longer working at this location, he quit. I told [redacted] that I should not be penalized for the error of an employee and Check 'n Go should honor what I was told was possible. I was not aware that this was part of the contract. I only asked if postponing the payment was possible and was advised it could be done. I told [redacted] I would never have gone through with this request if I knew I would have to make a double payment or have to refinance the whole loan to clear this employees error. [redacted] referred me to [redacted] a regional manager at [redacted]. I have left 2 message for her with no response, however, 1 message was left yesterday(Saturday). Her message states she would respond in 48 hrs. As of today, Sunday, Dec 21 no deduction has been made in my checking acct for my regular payment or the "catch up" payment. I did give [redacted] my ok to make the double deduction so I could avoid any legal action/collection issues on my record by this company. However, I feel that I have been forced into paying unfairly as a consumer.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)
I do no want to be penalized for the misconduct of their former employee. They should honor what I was promised, to delay one payment to the end of the loan or erase this additional debt incurred by the consumer because of an employee's bad practices.

I apologize for the experience you've had with our store location. After reviewing the account and discussing this case with our district director, I was unable to see where an agreement was made to change the payment frequency. It is against our policy to offer changes to payments, and we do not allow changes to be made. The district director discussed this with the staff at the store location.
In your contract, you signed that you agreed to allow our company to electronically debit your account when cash payments are not presented at the store. All charges to your account have been made in line with that agreement.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Review: I have received 7 calls in the last 2 days from Check N Go concerning a loan that an employee of mine has with them. They first said they just wanted to confirm employement, so I did. Then the called 2 more times after that. I explained to them that I am not the one that took out the loan with them, I am an employer and the needed to stop calling me. The lady I spoke to gave me nothing but a hassle.Desired Settlement: I would like them to not hassle employers, I don't receive calls if one of my employee's may owe others, I am trying to run a business and I don't think places such as Check N Go should be allowed to make how ever many phone calls they want to hassle an employer. I want the calls to stop. They are making the calls to my personal cell phone number not my work number, that is the number the employee gave them.

The number she called me from was ###-###-####. I called her back and she stated she was a lawyer representing check n'go. The woman refused to tell me why she was calling at first. She repeated my social security number, and my date of birth and wanted confirmation. I would not confirm until she told me who she was and why was she calling me. She said she was calling from [redacted]. She continued to by stating that our conversation was recorded for federal purposes. As she proceeded she wanted to collect full payment or set up arrangements. I refused because I was not comfortable with the way she spoke and the demands she was making. Yes, I will like to have the complaint transferred to [redacted] LLP. I understand that from your email that Check n go sold my account to this particular business. At the same time, They are collecting for Check n go. If check n go sold my account to this company, then this company is still collecting for check n go. Rather they sold the account or not it does not give this company the right to threaten me and being very hostile. Furthermore, the representative said that the call was recorded, due to federal law all of their calls must be recorded. The representative used threatening words, stating that I committed a federal crime and I would prosecute to the fullest extend. When I respond about knowing about the law, and that I graduated as a Paralegal the representative began ridiculing me regarding the law, talking loudly and rudely. The representative wanted me to set up a payment. When I refuse to do it right away, she got louder and even more hostile. However, when I reminded her about our conversation being recorded, she began fussing and hung up the telephone on me.

Review: I was unable to pay back my loan in the time allotted and was told the loan would be sent to a third-party collection agency. Now I am getting calls regarding the debt from the agency and they are telling me they are from the state (lying) and that they are filing fraud charges etc. They also yell at my family when they answer the phone, demanding to know where I am. They refuse to give me their name, address, anything at all and instead insist that I call 'The Attorney' to set up a settlement at [redacted]. I asked for verification of the debt and they refused. We we hang up on the abusive caller they will repeatedly call back trying to get us to answer. I was willing to work with Check n' go to pay this but was told it was out of the local offices hands ([redacted]) and would be sent to the third party. I am still willing to work with them but think it is horrible that they employ such abusive collectors.Desired Settlement: I would like to pay back my debt to the original creditor Check n' Go, and not have to deal with the third party. Review: Re: New Loan Origination - loan [redacted] This letter is to complain about service I recently received from Check ‘n Go. I called Check ‘n Go on January 26, 2015, to get some clarification on a loan request as I had conflicting information. After speaking to [redacted], I was told I had no outstanding loans as she could not find any information. I had to explain my problem to him several times because she did not seem to be listening or feel any kind of empathy towards my situation. She kept repeating she could find no loans and that I had to write a letter only to Risk Services to find out why the denial, after I was approved and signed the loan documents. I asked for a telephone number to call and she said there was not anyone I could call. I again stated I needed to get my concerns answered TODAY, and asked to speak to a supervisor. [redacted] put me on hold for several minutes, and then returned to say she could not locate a supervisor to help me and the call had to be terminated. Needless to say, I was quite frustrated.
Why would a company send an email like the one enclosed if a loan was not approved???? After I received the approval email and was expecting the funds, I then get a denial two days later??? THE DENIAL SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRST BEFORE ANY APPROVAL EMAIL AND/OR LOAN DOCUMENTS SIGNED. I WOULD SAY THIS IS FRAUDULENT PRACTICES AND PLAN ON REPORTING THIS COMPANY AS SUCH TO THE Revdex.com.
I expected a much higher level of service from your company, and I am quite disappointed. Because I do not want to spend any more time on this problem, I will be informing my friends and family about this experience.Desired Settlement: Change the practice of how they approve and deny loans. Denial should come first before receiving approval email and signing of loan documents.

[redacted] They did not address their practice of first advising the loan is approved and funds would be deposited the next business day and then 2-days later (after you were expecting the funds deposited the next day), they advise they could not grant the loan. They should let you know upfront that a loan cannot be approved BEFORE advising it was approved and the funds will be deposited. Big ripoff scam as far as I am concerned. Most reputible businesses tell you upfront they cannot honor your request/application before even advising it has been approved. Regards, [redacted]
