Review: I went to apply for a loan at check n go around the 1st or 2nd week of October. The cashier name [redacted] assisted me.Only to find out someone in [redacted] at Store had already received a loan in my name using my social security. I been in contact with the district manager [redacted] a few times but nothing till this day has been resolved. Her number is ###-###-####. I go in on 11/22/13, and was assisted by [redacted], to see if everything has been cleared form my name, well my social security number has been removed from the loan but loan number is tied to my name, making me ineligible to apply for a loan. I was applying for a loan because I fell behind on bills. It bothers me every time I go to the store located at [redacted] to apply for a loan, it says I already have a loan out, and I never have had a loan with this company beforeDesired Settlement: I want to be eligible to apply for a loan in my own my and social security number without having to be told, we still haven't gotten it fix. Let us get with IT again, and see what we can do. This issue has been going on for over a month.

I was approved for a loan November of last year at store [redacted] in SC. I have ALWAYS PAID ON TIME & SOMETIMES PAID MORE b/c I wanted this over & done with. I got married & moved out of state ( 5 1/2 hrs away), at the end of March. I had 2 1/2 payments left. I informed the ladies there & they gave me an address & number where I could make my payments in the new location. On my way to the new location I called & the young lady said that I could not make payments there. So I called my local office & she said they were supposed to (I think she didn't know). So she recommended that I send her the payment. I sent the payments through BILL PAY (which she said was ok), FOR 2 PAYMENTS! I have proof of these. I received a call 4 weeks later stating that they never received them. So I called my bank to cancel those payments (I have proof of that as well). Still waiting for money back from my banking institution though. I called the office to give them my new acct information ( I can no longer wait on the funds from my bank). Before I was told that they could debit my acct & she now say that they can't do that & I have fees & penalties (after she said she'd waive them). She said she'd only be able to waive them if I was in the store b/c I have to sign papers. She said I can ONLY send her a money order now. I'm just trying to get this over with!! I have the money now! Why aren't they trying to help me?! The young lady that I've been dealing with is [redacted].

Review: I was short on cash and needed to pay my rent. One of my friend's told me about this site. I went to it and took out a loan for the cash I needed. I was short on funds in my bank account when the time arrived to pay them. They had called me and I told them on the phone when I got paid and to take the funds out of my check. Well my employee check wasn't deposited right away and they tried to take money out of my account, it said insufficient funds. Now They have called me 12 times today when I checked my phone. I can not accept calls at my place of business because I am a [redacted] employee. I talked to them last week and the same thing happened except this time they called our office's 4 times within the past hour. This is harassment and very unacceptable. I went to look up their privacy policy on the web and it said; URL can not be found plus their license and fee can not be found as well on their website. I do not think these people understand that calling someone 10-12 times a day is a form of harassment. If it does continue I will pursue a law suit against them. I just feel that their customer service lacks business like manner's and bothering someone every hour on the hour with phone calls is all uncalled for.Desired Settlement: I just feel that there business is not a business at all but a loan sharking business and they should be reprimanded for their actions towards their customers privacy and that calling 20times a day is not a way to handle a business at all. Review: A bi-weekly installment loan of 11 payments was debited from my account per my agreement by Check n Go. However, due to error admitted on their part; Check N Go has continue to debit my account on two additional occasions (3/21/14 & 4/4/14) for what my account shows to be collection fees for an additional $389.24. This has forced my account into overdraft in the amount of $210.00 and counting.

Again, my bank record show that Check N Go received every payment on time as per our agreement. This is presenting an undue hardship on my finance and I may be forced to close my checking account if this matter is not resolve soon.Desired Settlement: Refund my money and all fees associated with the overdraft condition created by the unauthorized transactions.

Review: I spoke with a rep by the name of [redacted] and informed her I need to push back a payment that I had scheduled and I was informed that I couldn't do so. I then was transfered to her manager [redacted], who was extremely rude, I informed her again that I need to push back a payment to a later date. She also stated that I couldnt do so, and she will mark it my account as a refusal to pay. I informed her that I wasnt refusing to pay and due to increased expenses I need to make sure I can pay my household expenses and just need to move the date of the payment. She still stated that it will just cancel the payments, I informed her that will be fine then and I will just pay when I can. I advised her not to run my card information or I will place a stop payment. Today I found out they still took funds after I stated not to and when I called she was extremely rude again and didnt resolve the matter and hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I want my funds placed back into my account, bc I stated not to take the funds.

Review: on 6/10/14 we were notified by [redacted] that 2 fraudulent payday loans was made in my name by this company 'Check N' Go" we called them on 6/10 and were told to go to [redacted] and file a online report- we did on 6/10 and filled out their Affidavit and sent it and copy of ID, proof of actual address, and police report had it notarized and certified mailed it on 6/12/14 it was received and signed by "[redacted]" on 6/16 at 11:31 am. And my spouse has followed up with them on 6/11, 6/13, 6/16, 6/17 at 10:22 am, 6/19 at 1:07pm because they called us at 12:46, and finally today a full week after they've received all information we have, We received a call from them at 2:15pm asking for the Mr. when told he was at work they just hung up, I called them right back and got the same run around "we don't know" "contact fraud dept. at ![redacted]" promptly did it, still nothing.

WE DID NOT MAKE A LOAN FROM THEM NOR ANY PAYDAY LOAN TYPE COMPANY NOT-NOW NOR ANY..... I MEAN ANY AS LONG AS I BREATHE AIR- ANY PAYDAY LOAN COMPANY- I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH BECAUSE OF YOUR TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES.

I have contacted all 3 credit bureaus and placed identity theft and frozen them, reported identity theft to FTC, reported to police, and signed up for [redacted] & [redacted] CONSUMER.

I HAVE DONE MY PART AND ITS TIME FOR THEM TO DO THEIRSDesired Settlement: I would like them to DO THEIR JOB and find the person who actually made these loans 2 loan and remove and block my personal information from their system, Change their policy so no one else has to go through this, Contact me and keep me updated on what they are or are not doing, apologize for the time and stress spent calling and recalling them. She has a log of calls that were made to you in order to obtain additional information required to complete the investigation. Because the loan is in your name, Mr. [redacted], you will need to speak to the investigator and not your spouse.

It is not the place of our business to determine the criminal who stole your identity, that is the job of the Police. Our job is to determine if you did or did not take the loan and remove it from your name if we have adequate evidence that you did not take the loan.

Review: I went on line on 9 Feb 13 to process a refinance do to my not having the funds avaailable to pay on 15 Feb 13. Website showedthat refinance was processed to pay in full on 1 March 13. Collections department calls me on job stating that they tried to contact me multiple time in regards to payment and didn't. They also said that the website prompted for a payment of $31.74 which it only gave me the option to logoff. Also the total payment was originally for $690.96 which was not going up the date was just supposed to change. I was transferred to someone in collections who told me that they tried to draft from my account for the funds which made me incuur a $34 overdraft fee. Now they are stating that I owe $720.96 and won't make any payment arrangements except stating that it has to be paid in full on 1 March 13. They kept spouting out lies upon lies and could not give exact dates and times for any instsnces. they also stated that they sent out a letter only to find out it was just sent today on 21 Feb 13.Desired Settlement: This company banned from doing any business with any military. I should get an explanation for the lies and the bad communication. They should be fined for making false accusations.

I have investigated this complaint and I have found that this customer entered into a loan agreement on 3/26/2014. On 4/1/2014, instead of paying the loan in full as agreed in the original loan agreement, customer chose to refinance the loan agreement, which creates a new agreement with a new due date. When that due date arrived, customer decided to use the refinance option once more.

Refinancing a loan is a service that our company offers. Customers are not required to enter into a refinance, and can choose to pay the full balance on the due date as outlined in each of the loan agreements. Based on this, company has found that customer is responsible for paying the loan in full.

WITH THIS TYPE OF LOAN ,IF THE CUSTOMER PAYES THE MINUMUM PAYMENT, EACH PAYMENT EXTENDS THE BALANCE, YET IF THE CUSTOMER PAY THE MINIMUM PLUS EXTRA WITH IT ,THEN THATS THE ONLY WAY TO REDUCE THE BALANCE, THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS PRACTICE IS ARBITRAY AND CAPRICIOUS AND I BELIEVE IT TO BE AGAINST THE LAW BEING IT IS A LOAN STATUS . THE CUSTOMER GAVE PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE THAT HE, THE CUSTOMER IS A DISABLED PERSON WIT H PSYCHOLOGICAL ISSUES PRIOR TO TAKING OF THE LOAN AND THE MANAGER WAS SO PROGRAMED TO GET A CUSTOMER THAT SHE SIMPLY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A DISABLED PERSON , VIOLATING THE LAW THAT PROHIBITS SUCH AGAINST A DISABLED PERSON.

Review: Check N Go in [redacted] processed 7 unauthorized ACH banck debit to my [redacted] account on Dec 13, and 3 on Nov 9. no one from Chec N' GO called to inform me of the unauthorized actions to my account.

I call the store and visisted the store I could not get an explanation or a resolution but no one was at the office I called the district manager [redacted]a at ###-###-#### twice. He has not returned my calls. This has caused me to be withdrawl on my chase bank account in bank fees of $35.00 totalling $245.00 for each occurances.Desired Settlement: I would like unauthorized bank debt fees of $35.00 totalling $245.00 for each occurances restored to my account. And to please contact me when they are going to attempt to debt my checking account in the future

Review: Prior to 2008, I obtained a payday loan of $300.00 from Check 'N Go, located in[redacted] (which is no longer there). I made payments on the $300 loan. On 8/25/08, I received a phone call from a third-party collection agency and made a payment of $480.88, to [redacted], a third-party collection for Check 'N Go. This payment was to satisfy the $300 debt. On 7/15/09, I received another phone call from a different third-party collection agency and made a payment of $153.25, to [redacted] a third-party collection for Check 'N Go. This payment was also to satisfy the $300 debt. On 5/25/10, I received yet another phone call from a different third-party collection agency and made a payment of $480.46, to [redacted], a third-party collection for Check 'N Go. This payment was again to satisfy the original $300 debt. Today, 6/22/12, I received yet another call from a third-party collection agency for Check 'N Go, [redacted] (not sure of spelling). She informed me that I still owe Check 'N Go money. I informed her that the debt has been satisfied, I have proof I've paid the debt, and I do not owe them any more money. She threatened me with prosecution and she will be contacting my employer of this debt. I have been harassed for four years over this debt that has been satisfied 10 times over! I don't know what else I can do to get these people from calling and demanding money I do not owe any more.Desired Settlement: I want Check 'N Go, and all of their third-party collection agencies, to stop harassing me. I've paid them over and over and over again, and my debt has been settled!!! They have even contacted some of my family members and my place of employment to try to get more money, which is more than harassment; it's a form of a privacy violation. They need to stop harassing my family any stop contacting my workplace!

Review: I have been receiving harrassing calls regarding an account that has been paid in full for over two years. I have a receipt showing that the account has a zero balance and was paid as agreed. I have tried to contact corporate and the local branch over 20 times without success. The [redacted] location manager called me on my job on 4-29-13 and stated that my account is showing active still and when I reiterated that the account was paid out and they have provided a copy of the final receipt she said ok and hung up. I have every original receipt and contract to prove my point. I just want them to acknowledge their mistake or illegal act and clear my name and credit history of the erroneous information.Desired Settlement: I want the harrassing calls to cease and for Check n Go to acknowlege their illegal practice and wrong doing towards me. I also want them to resolve any negative reports to the credit bureau as they are indeed incorrect.

Review: This company approved a $5,000 unsecured online installment loan in my name without verifying any information regarding my identity, employment status, income, etc. I received a call from their collections department stating the payment was past due which was the first I knew of this loan being obtained. The number they gave me to talk to a "Risk Specialist" did not even permit me to talk to a person. I was directed to either communicate online or write a letter. The bank account they deposited the funds to is located in Fl. and I live in Ohio. The person that stole my identity had far less hassle obtaining $5k than I am going to have fixing this issue. If Check N Go was more prudent in their underwriting, perhaps making a simple phone call to verify my interest in obtaining this loan, then this could have been prevented. They make stealing someones identity a piece of cake.Desired Settlement: This company needs to improve it's underwriting standards before approving and dispersing funds to an unidentified individual.

Review: I am highly concerned with my experience with this company. I have had multiple loans with this company and paid the amounts appropriately.On my most recent loan ID# [redacted], the agent made an error on my loan documents for when the funds would be removed from my account. I called and spoke to an agent who advised me he would adjust the payment cycles to coincide with my pay periods. The changes were made and my expected last payment was supposed to be on 6/29. I found out that even though all of my previous payments were adjusted to match my pay period, my last payment could not be adjusted. This basically means I had to pay $600 in 2 weeks. The reason I have a loan is because of a financial hardship. I asked them to update my contract on my initial call for this reason and the agent specifically stated it would not be a problem. He never mentioned my last payment would be the same since the contract couldnt change. I have now been assessed fees from my bank due to bills I had already scheduled.Desired Settlement: Insufficient fees assessed due to issue.

Review: I recently Moved and had to change my phone number, the last Friday of October. I have been getting calls from check 'n go harassing me about someone else debt. I have told them on 3 occasions that, the person they are looking for doesn't live here and I have just got this number. They want me to send my information via email to request them to stop calling. I don't owe them anything and feel its an invasion of privacy to send them an email with my information just to have them remove my phone number from their records.Desired Settlement: I want my number removed from their records. Review: On my, [redacted] and [redacted] credit report dated December 10, 2014 your company is reporting that I paid 30 days late in November 2014. I am writing to dispute this derogatory information and request that you immediately notify all three-credit agencies to remove this derogatory information from my credit report. At the time of the alleged late payment in November 2014, I called in to the company asking if I can stop my ACH payment to because my employer was changing my payroll direct deposit and I am now on temporary disability. I was instructed that I could not change the dates, and payments will proceed and the only think they can do is put another check on file. I continued to ask for an email address to send a formal email to stop the ACH and the representative from Check N Go kept putting me on hold, she then came back on the phone and stated that they will stop the ACH and I can come in the office and make the payment. I went into the office on November 14th 2014 to show the manager in the branch my letter showing that I am on Temporary Disability and going through a hardship. He stated that he could not do anything about my hardship and I still have to come up with the payment. I told him that I cannot risk affecting my credit and will try to come up with the payment quickly. I came back into the store the following week on November 25th 2014 to discuss any other payment arrangements, It was at this time that the manager told me that as long as I can make the payment before November 10th 2014 then I will be ok and it would not be reported to my Credit Bureau, the manager reassured me that it would not get reported, in fact the manager also called two other store managers and inquire with them on when payments get reported to the credit bureau, both responses from the other managers were yes the report 45 days. The manager stated that it should help me since I am going through a hardship with my disability. As a proactive consumer I was able to record the manager stating all of this on my cell phone at the present time. I was using this as evidence since he would not give me anything in writing, and seeing that I could not get a direct email address to email the company to stop my ACH and still paid NSF fees even after requesting to stop ACH, I recorded the conversation with the store manager and myself. The fact is that Check N Go clearly misled me and gave me the old bait and switch. Due to my current disability and current hardship, I do not think I should have been misled by a manager at Check N Go and do not feel I was given the best customer service by give me the run around and misled into believe what was promised. I made my payment within the time frame that was instructed by the manager at the Check N Go on [redacted]Desired Settlement: The Company should remove the false 30 day late notice and honor what the promise me. They should not take advantage of clients who are on disability and because of the matter lie to customers to just to make the company an extra dollar.

Based on our records, a payment was submitted to your bank on 9/26. This payment was returned by your bank due to insufficient funds. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The information in the email is still incorrect, and this is another method that show that the employees in the local branch and the check n go headquarters are not on the same page. On the Installment Loan Agreement it clearly states that I can contact Check N Go and revoke the EFT Authorization orally OR in writing. I did both after the 9/26 payment did not go through. I spoke with my financial institution and even request all EFT to be revoked. The bank informed me that I would have to do that with Check N Go directly which I did immediately. Check N Go ACH my account on the September 29, not the 26th, they also ran two more EFT on the one on 10/07/14 and called the Bank again and was upset due to this issue and mainly because the Bank made a huge error, then Check N Go did anther EFT on 10/14/14, which cleared. The Bank did reverse all their fees and admit to the error, when I called Check N Go and informed them of the situation I thought that this was resolved. I even stated that they violated my consumer rights in EFT, which put me at a loss, I remember I told them I will go into the branch and physically make a payment. This is a situation that we as consumers go through companies like Check N Go who charges a nice misleading APR of 140.88% but fail to be more informative about the product and not even mention the interest rate for the loan. Even after violating my rights as a consumer, and putting me at an even further loss with fees. Then I get someone in the head office that is not communicating with the local office. I want to share one more example I made a payment on 12/10 and not only do I keep track of all my records, I have recorded all communication mainly for my disability, the new manager made another error with my payment. In my opinion why would this company provide better service to consumers the first time around instead of taking advantage of consumers hardships. My reasoning behind that statement, I have not received any communications from anyone in the upper management to attempt to resolve the issue. I will forward all my information to the proper government agencies.

Review: On July 23, 2012 I applied for a online loan and at the time of submission of application, I attached a copy of my banking statement and check stubs. I then faxed the information into checkngo later during the day. On Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 4:04am I received an email from checkngo stating they had not received all my information. At 8:52am on July 24, 2012, I received a call from ###-###-#### which no one ever spoke a word. I said hello several times, for approximately 35 seconds before hanging up. I called the number back and was told they had received all information requested. I then check back later at 11:00am and was told my application had been withdrawed because they did not receive all the information requested. I had been told by several people that this was a common practice of checkngo. They get information from the people and then withdraw the application and state they did not receive information requested.Desired Settlement: Require a better explanation than they did not receive all documentation requested

Review: Around April 20th, 2012 I took out a loan for $500.00 and was advised I would need to pay back $589.23 on May 4th, 2012. I advised the employee named [redacted] that it would be May 7th or May 8th before I could return to make a payment. She stated this would be ok as her boss would hold my check til then. On May 8th I went to pay off my loan and was advised my check was deposited on May 7th. I asked why I did not receive a phone call and was told by the manager that she tried to call me. I never received a message or a missed call from Check N Go. I went back to Check n Go to borrow money again and was advised my check deposited had cleared and I could borrow once again. I borrowed another $500.00. In the meantime, the initial check of $589.23 did not clear and I received a NSF charge of $30. So now I have two checks out for $500 each from Check N Go. Check N Go did call to inform me of this and they told me I had broken the law because in ** an individual can only have one $500.00 loan out at a time. The only reason I took the second loan was because I was advised by Check N Go that the first loan had been paid and cleared by my bank. Check N Go lied about calling me initially before deposited my first check and then lied again when they said my check had cleared the bank. The icing on the cake was telling me I had broken the law by borrowing $1000 on two separate occasions which I would have never done had they not advised me of the information stated above. I plan on retaining an attorney to proceed with arbitration.Desired Settlement: I would like both my NSF fees of $30.00 each paid to me and I want my credit report to not reflect any debit occurred under these circumstances. I have been a customer of Check N Go for several months and I have always paid on time. In Kentucky the law states the customer will pay $75 for each $100 borrowed. My re-payment on $500.00 was $589.23 numerous times. I am requesting the appropriate difference for each repayment. Should this matter not be resolved, I will retain an attorney.

Review: I thought all of my loans were paid off. I kept checking my account and everything was closed paid in full. Not one time have I recieved an email from this company about what I owe and payment options(which they always send out before due date). All of a sudden they are trying to take money out of my account. When I call and ask about it, they swear they sent an email and plus I told them nothing was on the account as open. The next day they decide to put an open loan document on my account and trying to charge a return fee. I know now to check for people ratings before doing business. They will not get my service ever!!Desired Settlement: They need to figure out something to satisfy me and them. I do not appreciate the co opening up a loan on my account & then sending an email about collections after I have called & asked what is going on after everything has been stated as closed. Review: At 3:00pm I went to check and go for a payday loan for in order to take care of some bills. I have had a checking for many years and I am carefully where my money goes. When I waited for 45 minutes to see [redacted] them at the counter. She evaluated my paper work, and said that I need to show a bank statement that is current. So I proceed to [redacted] to get a bank statement. I also showed the letter from social security reflecting my income. When I got to the bank I asked for the most recent bank statement for the months. So I went back to check and go to resume my application for a loan. This time I got [redacted] as my clerk. After showing the bank statement she then told me that I have to have November bank statement in order to get my loan. So I had to go back to the bank to get the current months statement so far. I then went back to check and go for the third time. I had to wait another 45 minutes to see [redacted]. She then told me, that in order to continue with my application I need to provide four relatives or friends that can vouch for me. I explained to her, that most of my family is no longer alive; I then had to give my personal friends information in order to comply. They would not accept that. So I had to call my friend in order to come up with the minimum requirements for the application. After all was said and done. She then tells me that that the loan is 459% payback for the loan. In order for me to get the loan I have to agree to 459% in order to get the loan. I had to reluctantly sign the loan in order to get the loan. I feel customer service has gotten really bad because of the upper management wants to uncaring. I feel that there should be a bill of rights for customer that wants to do business with the business.Desired Settlement: I have suffered from emotional illness due to how my father raided me in a very violent y atmosphere. I had to go to the county to seek professional help with controlling my emotions. But sometimes I get triggered easily, when I go to a business to take care of my personal affairs only to get alienated by people in the public because of what other mentally ill people have done because of their mental illness, like going on a rampage. Sometimes have I even got disrespected, because I suffer from mental illness. People in public that have a bad stigma about schizophrenia people. They think that I am going out and shoot up a movie theater or go on a rampage this is fare from the stigma; I am receiving professional help so I can be in public and be safe. Unfortunately I have been a victim of prejudice because of the stigma of the mental ill. Some of the business that I have gone to, they have called the police, only to have them tell me, that if I come back to the property, I will be charged with trespassing. I feel that this is not fair simply because I am not the kind of person. I think that a story needs to be expressed to the public that not all people are dangerous. Part of my therapy is to journal all my situations in order to get the emotions on paper. Which is why I am writing this? I hope I can make a difference in how people view the mentally ill.
