Review: I received and paid off a loan. On the payment before the last one I was told I only owed $37 after the payment I had just made that day. I didn't have enough cash on hand to make both payments and had to make out a check for $87 so I asked her would she go ahead and drop the check that day as the money was in the bank. she agreed but didn't. (I figure since the interest is computed by the day she was holding it till the due date so I would actually owe the full $87.00),she called me the day before payment was due asking was I going to make it in and I reminded her that she was supposed to turn the check in. She told me that she had forgotten and would do it that day. three weeks later it finally hit my account. which by the way I have been in the office many times when she told people she could not make arrangements and if they are not in on the due date then the checks will be automatically ran through their account the following day. Now two months later collections has started calling me saying that I owe thirty-seven dollars because interest accrued while waiting for her to drop the check. I tried to plead my case to two people one of which was a supervisor and when I was met with nothing but threats of harassing phone and implying that I was I liar I told them to not call anymore as this debt would not be able to be resolved through contact between us and asked for address and DBA name for company so I would be able to send a letter as instructed by FDCPA I was told to find it myself and he hung up on me and since has called several times and just hang up.Desired Settlement: stop the harassment, I did what I was supposed to do and was never late on a payment and I don't feel I should owe anything because she sat on the check I feel intentionally.

Dear Mr. [redacted]
Company is in receipt of your complaint. After investigating this issue company has found that you were not in receipt of your title, and as compensation for this the district manager offered to cover the cost of a new title for you. In regards to the inconvenience of having to travel to the DMV, that is something that would of had to be done to remove the lien from the title, as Check 'n Go cannot do this on your behalf. If you have any questions feel free to contact us.

Review: On Jan 31,2014 my husband [redacted] wrote 2 checks totaling $411.76 at Check N Go in order to get $350 loan. I was with him when he handed the checks to [redacted]. I could have sworn she counted $350 back to him and we left the store saying we would be in on the 14th of Feb. If she did hand us more, we were not aware. On Feb 13th my husband and I went to pay off the loan and [redacted] told us we owed $500.I pointed out we wrote for $411.76 to get $350 and I was sure that is what she handed us on the 31st. She had the checks to prove this but the paper work showed loan of $425 which would have included fees to make it $500. She called in another gentleman and I got mad so not out of guilt but to control my anger walked out and let my husband handle this. The gentleman told my husband they could check the video tape- which to me was trying to make us out like a criminal . My husband paid the $500 and we will never use this business again . This is not the 1st time [redacted] has done this. The 1st time she was caught by on site manager for doing same thing to us about a month or 2 ago and luckily there was no exchange of cash until [redacted] had to void her mistake as told by manager.Desired Settlement: I think an appology for treating my husband like criminal stating they could check the tape is needed. [redacted] needs to be fired as she has made this mistake too many times and does not read the check apparently and just enters what she wants. Wepaid for the loan even though checks stated one thing and paper work stated another. If she handed us the wrong amount we were not aware at the time but that blame should not fall completely on us. very dissatisfied with this service. You have lost my husband and me as customers as well as our friends and family . Do not call

Response:
Dear Ms. [redacted],
In the complaint that you placed, you stated that you were provided with a larger loan than you had asked for. We apologize for this issue and for any misunderstanding that occurred. At the time of obtaining the loan, the loan agreement was signed for the amount of $425.00 with a total due back of $500.00. Based on the signed loan agreement, the total amount assessed was accurate. The district director for the store reviewed the Digital Video Recording for the transaction and can clearly see that $425.00 was provided to the customer during the original transaction.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I said we paid the $500 and by saying you checked the digital camera makes us still feel like criminals which we are not!!! My husband and I do not have any criminal history and yet your company makes it out like we are criminals. I demand an appology!!! Why couldn't [redacted] the girl who did the transactions look at the checks to know to enter correct amount is what I want cleared up. She has down this 2 times and like I stated she was caught the 1st time before exchange of money and had to void out the mistake and start over. We paid the money and will never do business with this company ever again. You are rude to your customers and clearly your employees don't take time to check before entering data in system. We took responsibility for the mistake, why can't you and your employee named [redacted] take responsibility for her not looking at the check and verifying before entering in the system.

Response:
Ms. S[redacted],
We apologize if our investigation made you feel like a criminal, as this was not our intention. In your initial complaint, you stated that you only received $350.00 which is what led to us checking the video footage.
The district director for the store was notified of the problem that was encountered (the check amounts being different from the amount due back), and the district director has had a coaching session with that associate in order to prevent this from happening in the future.

Review: Check 'n Go makes it very difficult to protect your privacy. A phone call to one of their offices is not enough to guarantee that you will be removed from their sales call list. The polite agent I spoke to said I had to come in and sign a form or look for it online, print it out, and mail it. I was able to locate it online: http://www.checkngo.com/pdf/privacy.pdfAs you will see, it's grimy and a stark comparison to their polished website. And finally on to why I'm filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. My efforts to locate their privacy policy online were fruitless. The "click here" link to look at their privacy policy takes you to another page about Pay Day Loans. I even searched for the privacy policy in their site map and was unable to locate it. Here's their link to their Privacy Page: http://www.checkngo.com/about-us/company/your-security/privacy.aspxPerhaps it is an innocent mistake that the link is misdirected. Regardless, with the series of events, I feel vulnerable. I applied for a title loan which required a lot of information from me. Thankfully, once I received all the facts and calculated the interest involved, I opted not to take the loan. I was disgusted with their interest rate and would like to have nothing to do with them. Customers who seek services such as Check n' Go are already vulnerable. Please do what you can to at least help us protect our privacy.Desired Settlement: For the Privacy Policy to be available online and for the opt-out process on what personal information that they can share to be easier if not automated.

Review: On December 30, 2014, check n go deposited $3000 in my checking account without my knowledge or permission. I
did not think twice about it then, because my friend in another state was trying to negotiate a loan for us. But this was
not from someone I knew. Check N Go had no right nor permission to do that. I want to know how they my banking

Review: I was waiting my turn at this establishment at 3:50 p.m. with no one else behind me and the clerk told me to leave and come back later so that he could take his break. On his way out of the store, he told another customer in the parking lot that he would be back in an hour. Their store hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and business should be conducted during these hours without telling their customers to leave and return later. What kind of business are they running? Am I to be thrown out of their store because they can't hire enough people? I tried calling the District Manager when I left the store on two occasions and got a voice mail each time that said:"The district manager is not answering the phone, goodbye." How can I lodge a complaint when they won't answer their phone? I will never use their services again!Desired Settlement: I would like the company to know that customers are valuable and that no customer should ever be asked to leave their business.
Review: I ran into financial difficulties in June/July and stop paying on my account with Check 'N Go. I obtained a loan for 2000.00 and my payments were drafted from my checking account at 621.77 a month. This was to go on for 8 months. So basically, they did not receive the last two payments from me. I called and inquired about making monthly payments of 50.00 semi-monthly. They would not accept that and stated that I would have to make payments via a debit card. I think it is wrong for a company/business to dictate to you how to make the payments. I was contacted today and told that if I don't agree to the settlement they are offering by 7 p.m. tonight and call back with a debit card number, my account would be turned over to a third party collection agency. That is wrong.Desired Settlement: I would like to make $100.00 payments a month for the settlement offer of 50%. I shouldn't have to call them with a debit card number and accept their terms. I'm willing to pay, but on my terms. It is not right. They have already gotten back the 2000.00 I borrowed from them.

Review: I did a title loan and the title loan was paid off an once that the loan is paid off the company, "Check & Go" will receive the title back at their office an you have to go to the store an pick up your title. It has been over 6months and I have not received my title, when I call the store they tell me to come pick up a "Lean Release" and to take it to the DMV and send in for my title. On the contract that I signed originally, it says that I will receive my title in 4 weeks after the loan is paid off.
Now I have to take off of work, go to the DMV, stand in line for an hour an also I have to pay for the title fee which I paid the title fee with the loan, but Check & Go says that they will reimburse me for any charges that I am charged by the DMV. When I called the store recently they had no clue were the lean release was or anything about picking anything up from the company. No one at the corporate office is returning any of my calls an I am in need of my title ASAP b/c I am going to be trading my car in when purchasing a new car.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my title as it was told to me in the contract that I signed, if I had not followed the guidelines of the contract they would’ve picked up my car with no problem so I feel that because I have a contract stating how the return of the title will be handled I expect for it to be taken care of just as the contact states. Also I should not come out of pocket for anything because as I said all of that was taken care of at the time of the loan an it also states it on the contract. I also need it to happen ASAP because I am in dire need of my title. Also I would like a letter of apology mailed to me as well.

Hello,
Please be advised this is a duplicate complaint. In a previous response to this customer which was made to the Revdex.com I advised that company was willing to reimburse fully any costs incurred to the customer when obtaining a new, clean title.
Here is our original response to the same complaint filed by this customer:
"Company is in receipt of your complaint. After investigating this issue
company has found that you were not in receipt of your title, and as
compensation for this the district manager offered to cover the cost of a
new title for you. In regards to the inconvenience of having to travel
to the DMV, that is something that would of had to be done to remove
the lien from the title, as Check 'n Go cannot do this on your behalf.
If you have any questions feel free to contact us"

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have traveled to the store and the employee was not aware of where my title was or said that it has been missed placed, this was Steph that I spoke with at the local store. This is not acceptable to me b/c I have traveled to the DMV and to check & Go several times an still do not have a title. Also on the contract that I signed originally, I paid all the funds that was told, on top of the outrages fees that they charge, also on the contract it states that a copy of the title will be mailed to the office an "The only thing that I would have to do is wait for the local company to contact me to pick up my title". I should not have to make several calls to the store nor should I have to continue to stand in line at the DMV for hours an still not have the issue resolved. I accepted the terms of the contract b/c I was told that I would not have to go to the DMV or pay for anything b/c I paid it all with the loan. Now I have endured travel expenses an wages from taking off on Tuesday 05/20/14 to resolve the issue, that still hasn’t been resolved! This is totally unacceptable, also this would be a breech in the contract that I signed. Had I breeched the contract check an Go would’ve been to pick up my car but b/c it is there error it’s no big deal. NO, the company needs to honor the contract that they give to all customers. It has almost been a year and I demand that they abide by the contact or I will go forward with some type of legal representation. This is not fair to me nor is it fair to the other customers that this has been done too!
Review: I borrowed a paycheck loan from this company's website online, and everything was fine. I gave them access to my bank account so I wouldn't have to worry about payments. Then all of a sudden, they began to charge my account more than I authorized and started calling and harassing me when there wasn't money in my bank account for them to take even though they already took the payment I said they could. I restricted their access to my bank account so they couldn't take funds without my permission anymore and the harassing calls got worse. I tried to explain that I had already paid what was due to them, but they insisted I give them more.
I am filing this complaint because a particularly rude customer service rep called me at my workplace (which is another thing they were never authorized to do) today and began to harass me about my debt. She had a very bad attitude from the beginning and I explained to her that she needs to make sure they know they are not authorized to call my work ever again. After I said that, she said that was fine and then proceeded to ask me if over $400 was available in my account. When I began to explain that no the funds were not available and that I restricted their access to my account she rudely said that was obvious and that she was calling to set that back up so they could take what they needed. I told her I did not wish to do that and that I would be calling back to make a payment when it was convenient for me. She rudely asked me if that was my way of saying I refuse to pay on my debt. I was already upset because she had been so rude to me, so I said yes it does mean that. I said once again that I would call back when I could do it. She rudely asked if I had this "attitude" when I borrowed the money to begin with. At this point I got very angry, so I hung up on her. I understand that I owe them still, and I'm not denying that, but I would have been much more willing to set up a payment arrangement if I hadn't been treated so poorly from the beginning of the call. I have every intention of paying them back, but I refuse to let them steal extra money from me, so it will have to happen when it is convenient for me.Desired Settlement: I would like them to stop contacting me at my workplace regarding this debt (it is not only embarassing, but they are also not authorized to do so, especially when they are going to be so rude to me that I have to compromise my professionalism to protect myself from being verbally attacked.
I would also like them to explain why they were taking extra money from my account and I want to set up a convenient payment arrangement without feeling like I am being attacked by an angry animal. I will pay them back, but with the customer service representation they have, I will do it when I can do it and they can just wait in line if they are going to act so rude. I will definitely never be using their services again or referring others to them. They are rude, harassing thieves and I refuse to deal with them.

Response:
Dear Ms. [redacted]
Company is in receipt of the complaint that you filed with the Revdex.com. We have investigated the complaint, and offer the following:
You signed and entered into a loan agreement with Company on 11/05/2014 that states you borrowed $330.00 and were required to pay back $412.50 on 11/20/2014. The loan agreement clearly states that the funds will be withdrawn electronically, on the due date specified, from the account that you provided. In line with the agreement, Company attempted to withdraw the amount due on the agreed date. Once the charge was returned to Company due to insufficient funds, the account was moved into our collections department to attempt to collect the funds. Again, in line with the loan agreement, company attempted to contact you using the information you provided. This includes contacting you at work during reasonable hours: another part of the agreement that you signed and agreed to.
Based on the information above Company is unable to substantiate your claims of the amount being to high or that we unlawfully entered your bank account. All of this information can be found in your loan agreement and company is not in violation of said agreement.
Please contact our collections department at [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10344322, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
What the business is refusing to address is that their customer service representatives are rude and harassing. I never once accused them of entering my account without permission but I stand by the statement that they did take extra funds without permission. I also realize that I signed an agreement for the loan however I never would have done so if I had known how uncaring and rude their representatives truly are. The reason it was returned for "insufficient funds" is because I restricted their access to my account so they couldn't take extra money from me. The representative who wrote the response here, is refusing to take responsibility for his customer service being the absolute worst. And I do not classify all hours of the day and night as being "reasonable" to be contacted regarding the matter. The company needs to take responsibility for their employees being terrible providers of help and service and they need to revise their policies on collecting debts because their current method is just at the borderline of harassment and I will not stand for that. If the harassing calls do not stop and they do not send me a breakdown of withdrawals made from my account, they will be hearing from my lawyer.

Company conducts all collection practices in line with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, which includes at what time and frequency we may contact you via telephone. The only amount withdrawn from your account was $412.50 which is the amount that you agreed to pay on the due date as per the signed loan agreement.
I apologize that you feel like we are not taking responsibility for poor customer service. I have reviewed the account and was unable to find where you were contacted outside of the FDCPA or where your account was debited outside of the loan agreement. It is your responsibility to repay the amount agreed in the signed loan agreement.

Review: I took an installment loan from this company in December 2012, for 2600.00 the payback was supposed to be for 6 months for 546.33 starting in Jan 2013 and ending on June 3 2013. I just received an email last week of a reminder that another payment would be due on July 3rd 2013. I called the company and they told me that I had another six months to pay. I indicated to them this this was not the original agreement. I have already paid 3277.98 on a 2600.00 loan. 677.98 in interest. Approx 113.00 per month in interest. That is over 40% a month in interest on the base amount. And they want to charge me more. This interest amount I think is illegal in the state of [redacted]. I have all of my bank statements showing that all payments were made and cleared my bank n the ays tht they were to be made. Review: Security, Privacy and control of personal information entered on online application.
I filled out an online application for a payday loan. At the end of the application the web page said I would be contacted by the local store and gave the address and phone number of the local store. I was not contacted so I called them myself and asked about the online application. The store rep said that I would have to come in and fill out an application in person. I decided to use a different company and called the 800 number on the web page to ask about having my information deleted. My call started about 6:36 pm central time. The customer service rep I talked to listed several "laws" and "policies" as well as several different amounts of time that they "had" to keep my information of file. I asked what law required them to keep my information because I had not completed a loan application or signed anything with this company at all, she could not produce anything. I was trransfered to a loan customer service supervisor and I asked the same question. He could not provide any information. I told the supervisor that if he would just deleted my information that's all I wanted. He said he did not have access to it. He said I would have to talk to the store. I told him that I had already talked to the store and they told me thatthey did not have access to any information I filled out online. The supervisor then told me that I should contact my state Attorney General to find the policy that they had to follow but he could not name or quote the policy or law. I did not complete an application with this company, I did not sign or give consent for a credit check. All I did was give information to start a loan and I decided not to deal with this company.Desired Settlement: All I want is conformation that my information has been deleted from this companies web site OR for the company to provid the " LAW " and or " POLICY " that they must follow that requires them to keep my information on their web site.

Ms. [redacted]
Review: I went into the check n go location on Dec 10th for a payday loan from a letter that I recieved in the mail that said that I was pre approved. I went into the [redacted]. I spoke with [redacted] the store manager. I was approved for a $320 loan, and was given $200 cash in the store. She told me that she didnt have enough cash in the store, so she said that she was going to put the remaining $120 on the [redacted] card. I asked her specifically were there any fees associated with the card, and she said that I could go to any chase and withdraw the cash with NO FEE, which is the only reason I accepted the card. She did not give me any papers that typically come with temporary cards. She accidently put $130 on the card, and had to take $10 from the cash that she gave me in the store. So I left the store with $130 on the card. I went directly to chase to try to withdraw the funds from the atm and discovered that there is a $3 fee to withdraw the funds from the card. Not wanting to spend money to get access to the money I had to borrow, I did not withdraw the cash. I then swiped the card over the next day, because [redacted] at the check n go location told me that there was no other fees for swipping the card, and I was not given any paper work to read. I noticed the next day that I was charged $24 in fees from swipping the netspend card. I feel very taken advantage of by this company and the representative because she did not inform me of all fees or provide me with the literature that goes with the card so I could be made aware of the fees. I called [redacted] back in the store and she told me to contact netspend, and they would not credit me any fees and told me to contact check n go. [redacted] was very evasive when I called her back and claimed that she told me about the fees but she did not. She then mentioned that she could have given me a check that I could have went directly to chase and cash, which I would have done if she would have offered me other options. She never offered me any other options for the money but the card. I contact the district manager of the southwest region of check n go and she told me that she would give me a call back and never did. I am a very disatisfied customer.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the $24 refunded to me. I wouldnt have gotten a payday loan if I didnt need the money. I spent money in order to get this loan when I didnt have the money to begin with. I am very disatisfied with the company, and once I pay this loan back, I will never do buisness with the company again.

Review: The Check N Go location at [redacted] continues to call me for collection efforts for a debt owed by an individual named [redacted]. I do not have any debts owed to any lender nor have I cosigned on a loan. Because of this, their calls can in no way be for me to arrange payment of a balance owed. I have advised their staff on multiple occasions that they do not have permission to contact me. It appears that [redacted] provided my contact information (Phone # ###-###-####) to their company as part of the loan process. I was not involved with this loan and in no way have any responsibility for its repayment. I just received another call from their office (phone # ###-###-####) from a female who did not identify herself. This individual asked for me by name and then stated she was calling for [redacted]. I told this person that I have already advised 2 previous callers to no longer contact me, at which point the employee hung up on me. I would like to know how your company can legally perform collection efforts against someone who does not have any debts with you. I would like to know why your company continues to call me, especially after you have been specifically instructed to remove my phone # from your system. I am demanding that phone calls cease immediately as of today's date, October 12, 2013. Any further calls will result in my seeking legal action against you as I believe your company is in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)
This is debt collection for another individual, not myself. I demand they stop calling my phone # immediately.

Mr. [redacted],
Review: I had obtained a payday loan from them in 2008. Paid multiple payments on the loan. Apparently I didn't pay it off, really don't remember seeing as it was 6 years ago. Got a call today from a rude man named [redacted] saying he was a paralegal trying to collect this debt. There are no Check n Go sites in [redacted] anymore there havent' been for years. I have not had a way to pay on this nor have I received any correspondences from this company in 6 years.Desired Settlement: I would like for this situation to be completely resolved. Once again, these locations disappeared years ago.

Response:
Hello,
The debt in question was sold to a third party collector on 4/6/2009. When Check n' Go sells the debt, they are no longer able to make payment arrangements or forgive the debt. While there may no longer be locations near you, the debt in question still exists. You will need to work with the collector in order to settle the debt.
Regards,
Review: This account was closed and paid in September 2010 and I continue to receive collection calls. I have faxed this paper numerous times but continue to receive harassing phone calls from agencies who say they are going to take me to court.Desired Settlement: Please close the account so collection agency will stop contacting me.
