For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]The supporting documents are evidence that the Carrier *** 2S Compressor was defective during the summer of and that Carrier has experienced far more than and acceptable Compressor failures.Carrier should be held accountable for warranty on their product and replace the unit.Regards,*** ***
The attached were emailed to *** *** on 06/11/2015.*** Dear *** *** Thank you for your email to the Carrier Management Review Board. They have reviewed your file and asked that I respond. On behalf of Carrier, I apologize for the delay in our response, and for
the problem you have encountered with your system. The Carrier warranty is specific in that it provides parts only. I have attached a copy for your reference. Your dealer can apply for warranty credit for parts that have been replaced via the Carrier distributor where he obtains warranty parts. I checked with our Warranty office and they do not show that a claim has been submitted for the parts. You may want to bring this to the attention of Fastrich. If you are confident that *** made an installation error, you will need to address it with them directly. Carrier does not own the dealers, nor are they franchised by us. Once a dealer is licensed by your municipality, he can purchase and service any brand of equipment. I hope this information is helpful, and again, apologize for the delay. Dear Mr***,I have attached the warranty information that pertains to your equipment. The equipment comes with a year all parts warranty, which can be extended to years if the equipment is registered in days. The invoice you included in your documentation does not
indicate that the dealer sold you a year warranty.Carrier literature and website often references a year warranty with the caveat to see your dealer for details.Unfortunately, I must deny your request extend your year warranty.Regards,Lynn ***Carrier Corporation

Dear Mr ***,I am sorry to hear you had a problem with your system. The PA technical rep spoke with your dealer and the TXV did not fail. The coil is freezing due to low return air temperature. The return air was degrees when the technician was on site. The AC is
not meant to operate with that low of a return air temperature. In any case, the Carrier warranty does not cover labor therefore I must deny your request to assist with the charges you incurredRegards,Lynn ***Carrier Corporation

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below$rebate on a new furnace was the offer.
Once it was determined that the heat exchangers and other parts were faulty and needed replacement in my year old warrantied Carrier Furnace, I contacted *** *** *** ***, my dealer repeatedly( on the 15, 16, and 17) in regard to availability of parts to repair the furnace and each time was told the parts were being sourced, but were not in handLate afternoon on the th, when I spoke to *** *** and he still was not able to confirm he had parts to fix the furnaceAfter days without heat, facing the weekend and degree temperatures, he and I made the decision to replace the furnace so we would have heatThis was done by his team on an emergency basis working until pm that nightI spoke directly to Carrier on the th also, and shared all the details of the caseIf they had indeed provided the parts, they had the responsibility to inform me of thatThey made no such claimThey are not blameless and failed to honor their warranty and provide good service to a loyal customerThey should step up and pay the cost of the replacement furnaceAt this point, their warranty amounts to fraudulent advertising

Dear *** ***,
In general, Carrier warranties cover parts only. Labor, service and refrigerant are not covered. If you can provide the model and serial number for your equipment we will gladly provice you with the warranty that pertains to your particular

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find part of the resolution is satisfactory to meThe part I am still concerned about is that even after being reassured our unit was changed to be registered to us (and being told this happens all the time so it is no big deal), OUR unit is still registered to another person at another address. The correction was not madeI'm asking that in addition to the $check for the defective part labor being mailed, that the registration be corrected as well. Dear Ms. [redacted],I am sorry to hear you have had problems with your Carrier equipment. The Carrier warranty does not cover labor. Commonly your installer will cover labor for the first year. I have secured approval to provide a one time concession in the amount of $400 labor for the second replacement due to the replacement part being defective. Please verify your mailing address and I will submit the paperwork to issue a check.Regards, Lynn [redacted]Carrier Corporation
