Carrier Corporation Reviews (307)

My coil just had to be replaced on the condenser!  The cost for this is $1583.00, I purchased a warranty to cover this and I feel I should be reimbursed for the warranty!  It’s not the customers fault that Carrier can’t make a product to last more than 2 years.  This is unacceptable and what I find amazing is the other unit has not had one problem!!

Dear Mr. [redacted]I have been in touch with engineering and they expect to have some control testing results done by this Thursday, April 27.   I am going out on an extended medical leave so have turned your case over to Regina [redacted].    [redacted].    She will be in direct contact with you on Friday either to get the new software to you, or to work to help you purchase an aftermarket solution.Again, I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.Regards,Lynn [redacted]

Dear Mr. [redacted],I am sorry to hear you are having problem with your WiFi connection.   Would you please advise the model and serial numbers for your thermostats?I await your reply.Regards,Lynn [redacted]

Dear Mr. [redacted]I am sorry to hear you are having problems with your Carrier equipment.   I reviewed the notes from the site visit by [redacted].  It is clear that the problems you are experiencing are installation related, therefore my suggestion is to address them with the company...

that did the installation.   As I understand it, an improper trap caused the leak and ceiling issue and that has been corrected.  However, the fact that the system has insufficient air flow means the unit will continue to freeze and cause problems.  Your installers insurance company may be willing to assist with the damages.Regards,Lynn [redacted]Carrier Corporation

And why was it located in the pages of the installation where no homeowner would look?  I took the time to research furnaces and thought I was getting the best out there at the time.  Unless you were hoping the consumer would not register it so you could make more off an innocent consumer.  I have the defective part sitting in a box next to my furnace. The only satisfaction I am willing to accept is:  To be under warranty as I should be.  And to be REIMBURSED THE MONEY I AM DO!!  I have been a long time Carrier user for over 36 years.  Regards,[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. My provider is saying he wants a representative from the service group to come on site and Carrier told them they have them and the local place he is dealing with DCNE in [redacted] can approve it.
Then Carrier responds to my E-mail with the below?  When the technician is at my house they call him back 4 - 5 hours later after he has left - that DOES NOT HELP. Carrier Corporation is a manufacturer of heating,
ventilating and air conditioning equipment, we go to market through a
distribution channel. The distributors in turn supply equipment and parts to
licensed dealers and contractors within their territories. The dealers and
contractors, in turn, install and service the equipment for consumers, such as
yourself. We do not have a residential service organization that would come to
your home and install, service or inspect your equipment.  If your dealer needs technical help, he is
welcome to contact the distribution channel for support, however Carrier will
not send an engineer to your home.
If your dealer has questions that the distribution
channel cannot answer, and they are not willing to make an attempt to get the
answers for you, please have them contact me with the technical questions and I
will see if I can get answers.

Consumer called , they sent a company to address the issue, and now everything is all set. This is now resolved.

Dear Ms. [redacted],Would you please send me copies of the service tickets you reference in your complaint.   It may be quicker if you send them to me directly at [redacted]I await your reply.Regards,Lynn N[redacted]

A band-aid fix and then another fix is not good enough. I have learned that there is known contamination in your systems. http://comfortproducts.com/wp-content/uploads/DSB14-0012-additive1.pdfReference DSB 14-0012"The TXV metering device is acting as a filter by collecting a substance used in one of the condensing unit’s components. Through significant research and testing, Carrier found the cause to be an unauthorized change to a rust inhibitor used by a supplier."You have known contamination damaging customer systems and are not letting your customers know it. They are likely paying hundreds of dollars to fix Carrier's lack of quality control. You can't absolve yourself by blaming a supplier. This is class-action lawsuit material. I want my system flushed, all components exposed to contamination replaced, and an extended warranty, including labor, at no cost to me.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. As the repair fees and refrigerant was required for the unit to properly work, providing the parts alone is unsatisfactory. If Carrier had full confidence that I would have no further issues with the unit, providing a comprehensive warranty would not be an issue.I am requesting a refund of fees and an extended warranty.Regards,[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.as I stated in the past complaint, the burner and the blower both went bad due to the heat exchangers gong bad. Carrier covered the heat exchangers as the have a bulletin on this and even offer $ towards a new heater so that are well aware of this problem. I should not and will  have to pay for parts that went bad due to their faulty products.

complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,[redacted] Not sure how to reply to the company's inquiry.  They are asking me for a model # and a serial #, making no offer to do anything else apart from every other time this has not worked.  I don't know how to provide them with this information since the until I bought consists of many different compenents.  The thermostat itself has no serial number that I can locate, and I am not able to disassemble it.  I have provided them with so many #s and so much information over the years and my units are registered with them, so it would be much simpler if they just look up the many, many records of my system.  [redacted]
