So carrier came out because they were concerned that the number of TXV valves replaced could be due to a number of things.  However when the Carrier rep came out he inspected everything and said I don't see anything wrong with the way your system was installed.  He pointed out a couple minor things however I would still like to be reimbursed for the money I have had to pay to have a working system...Tell us why here...

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I did have a Factory Certified company, [redacted] evaluate the need to replace faulty blower motor for $69 evaluation service call and they explained that it would be an additional $225 to install. Total cost of $294 for service to evaluate and install blower motor. They will also be inspecting the freon level when they return to install blower motor being replaced by Carrier.

No one has contacted us or come out to test the unit ([redacted], Carrier, or S[redacted]) the AC unit does not cool the area and never has. It has been worked on numerous times over the last 3 months. It obviously needs to be replaced at this point.

50's during the night, and the highs during the day were at best 68 degreesF.   Your dealer indicated that  your thermostat was set to 65.  Unfortunately trying to run the unit to achieve 65 when outdoor temperatures are at times lower than 65, will cause the unit to freeze up.   I am certainly interested to know if you are having this kind of problem when temperatures are in the 70's and 80's.   Regards,Lynn [redacted]

In 2009 a group of neighbors in our communities got together and place a huge order with East Coast Mechanical, a distributors of Carrier units.  A total of over 100 units were purchased at that time. One of the incentives we were promised was a 10 year parts warrantied by Carrier.  A few months ago, one of my Air Handlers Fan motor broke and had to be replaced.  I was told by ECM that when they contacted Carrier they claimed we never sent the piece of paper to get the 10 year warranty.  We were never told by anyone we needed to send a piece of paper to have the warranty enforced.  We assumed that it was included in the sale.  Carrier made a lot of money on our account due to this large purchase and I feel they should have honored my request for parts.  I had to spend $467.00 in order to get my system up and running again.Furthermore, a month later, during a regular maintenance check, ECM found that both my units had a lot of water and that the coil insulation and the only solution was to replace both units!  We went ahead and purchased two new [redacted] units to replace the Carrier poor quality product.If I cannot get a refund, I would like to have Revdex.com published this note so that other potential customers be aware of Carrier deceptive advertising as well as how poor quality their A/C units area.  I will never buy another Carrier product again!!

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The claim that Carrier provides an extra 5 years of warranty as an incentive for the customer to provide what they claim to be valuable information for marketing use does not pass my sanity check. I believe the only marketing benefit they get is the ability to advertise their products as a 10 year warranty product while in fact a good portion of customers will only effectively have 5 years of warranty. At no point was I told that I need to register the product within 90 days otherwise lose half the warranty. Also, why does it matter if register late if what I am asking is to start the coverage from the manufacturing date that Carrier itself verified to be 10/2009. I reject Carriers response and insist on my right to get the unit repaired and warranty re-instated. Regards,[redacted]

[redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Regards, Regina [redacted]Since I submitted this complaint, I got a 2nd opinion from another Carrier suppler, Air Sources; Invoice attached.  [redacted] came back out and again start pointing fingers back to [redacted] who pointed back to Florida Air.  Now, the air condition unit has gone out altogether, Donovan said because the Compressor went out , it frozen the whole system. I found out that the Compressor never should have been repair but replaced.  [redacted] solution, they can repair/replace parts and labor will be 2200.00.  Laughable, I going to pay to have a broken system fixed due to their error,  add 2500.00 and get a new unit from someone else.

Dear Mr. [redacted] I apologize for the issues you have had over the years regarding your thermostats.   I want to send you 2 new thermostats to replace those in your home.   Without a valid model and serial number, I can only guess at what would be the best fit.   I called your dealer for model and serial information as well but they have not called me back.   I will send you two new thermostats as follows:SYSTXBBECW01-A (with router) and SYSTXBBECC01-A.   I hope these will be the right fit. I feel that since two of their whole house air conditioners were faulty,I want a longer warranty on parts and labor.I paid a lot of money for these units and to have two of them break within 3 weeks of being installed is not acceptable.They owe me something because I am worried about what they installed. number.  If in fact the $40 charge was for a part on one of the Carrier systems that should be covered by the Carrier warranty, then please contact your dealer to have him apply for warranty credit.
The Carrier warranty is a parts only warranty.  The labor warranties are supplied by the installers.  We have already increased the parts warranty for your equipment from 5-10 years, and we provided $200 in coupon credits to assist with some of the labor you incurred.   This is above and beyond the manufacturers standard warranty therefore I must deny your request to provide new equipment, or labor warranties.
