Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,*** ***Carrier's response is not true The drainage and leaking issue causing multiple repair calls was found to be caused by the faulty blower It was not my any fault of mine The dual capacitor was a recent service call, the second blower installed was due to a leaking problem, a cooling problemThe unit stayed on continually but the blower would freeze up and not work This was a emergency after hour call, costing $ The tech had to come back on Monday to find out what the problem was As a result of not having adequate cooling in my home I ended up in the emergency room with a severe breathing problem In addition, I had to have the thermostat replaced This also was another service call So in the past months I have had service call payments and this is not counting the multiple service calls Zi paid for leaking water under the blower unit and later to find out the blower was the reason for the draining snd leaking problem Carrier continues to deny they are not responsible for their heat pump malfnctioning, although if you look at the multiple complaints about Carrier you will see that my issues are the same complaints being made under Carrier reviews How can a company sell a defective expensive product and not back it up? I am angered that I continue to pay service calls nearly every month for parts that are defective I paid $for this heat pump This unit is only 1/years old and has been broken down numerous times I want Carrier to extend my warantee for another years at no cost to me I want reimbursement for the multiple service calls and I want the option to have this unit replaced I will seek legal action against Carrier I will send my complaint to the Attorney Generals office and I will contact News *** * in *** and request they investigate Carrier for sellng a Veteran on disability a faulty unit Carriers response to this is not true Again Carrier is denying the consumer adequate resolution of this costly issue

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaintThey did not even supply a phone or email address , kept me waiting for a week to then tell me that they could not help meThey will do anything to find some way / excuse of why they wont help youTHIS COMPANY NEEDS LESS THAN A B HERE AT THE Revdex.com.. Dear Mr***,
On behalf of Carrier and the *** Product team we apologize for the
inability for you to use your Smart Phone
feature with your *** systemAfter exhaustive review of the matter we are able to
offer you the following options:
We can offer to change the control boards on your indoor units
to support long distance or remote WiFiThe lead time would be approximately
two months since we would need to obtain the necessary parts from our suppliers
and coordinate the installation
Compensate you for an aftermarket control that has the smart
phone featurePlease note that our team has also searched for a 3rd
party control that would work our system and have not found one that they feel
works completelyMost utilize the IR signals that many ductless indoor units
operate off ofThe particular indoor unit installed in your home utilizes an
RF signal which makes finding a 3rd party control difficult
Buy back of the system
Thank you for your patience as we have reviewed this casePlease
let me know which resolution would be preferable to you
Sincerely,
Regina ***

Dear Mr***I am sorry to hear of the problems you have experienced with your system The recommended annual maintenance by a licensed HVAC contractor can often prevent problems such as you have encountered. While I cannot provide you with a new furnace, the attached warranty applies Your primary and secondary heat exchanger parts are still under warranty, as well as the labor to replace the secondary heat exchangerAgain, I am sorry you encountered a problemRegards, Lynn *** Carrier Corporation

I want Carrier to work it out with the installer.I should not have to do this since their product is inferior and malfunctioned twice.Yesterday, out of nowhere,Carrier sent someone to put in a new part. This is a new air conditioner and it should not need new parts

Dear *** ***
I am sorry to hear that you have had problems with your Carrier air condtioner.
We do not have a recall such as you suggest in your letter, therefore I must deny your request for reimbursement for the new unit you installed. The compressor in your model
carried a year parts warranty so had it failed last year, the part would have been covered, just as it would have this year, had you chosen that option. Unfortunately, our warranty does not cover labor, nor do we cover full unit replacement
Again I am sorry you encountered a problem
Regards,
Lynn N***

Dear Mr***,The Carrier warranty does not provide for unit replacement as all equipment is field repairable. Our technical team in GA tried to reach out to your dealer a number of times (via phone and email) to review the service history (note we show only one motor replacement) but your dealer was not very responsive.Unfortunately, if you have replaced the equipment there is nothing further we can do to assist. You also mentioned in your original complaint that you were concerned about the size of the equipment. Carrier does not do the sizing selection. This is something that is done by your builder/installer. Again, I am sorry you encountered a problem.Regards, Lynn ***

Dear *** ***
I am sorry to hear you have a problem with your evaporator coil. The Carrier warranty on that part is years from the date of installaion. In your case the coil is almost year past the warranty period and will not be covered by Carrier
Attached is a brochure that
may help you understand the change from copper to aluminum

Carrier Corporation

Dear Mr***,I am sorry to hear you have had problems with your Carrier heat pump.Carrier is very much interested in seeing that the
equipment we manufacture performs wellBefore any component is selected to
become a part of a product it is subjected to rigorous factory testing and we
fully
expect those meeting our specifications to give many years of good
service. You can appreciate, however,
that there are many things beyond the control of a manufacturer that can cause
a compressor to fail, voltage surges, incorrect refrigerant charge, dirty
filter or coils, improper installation/maintenance, to name a few. While we have no direct control over these
and other causes of compressor failure, we realize that many reasons for
failure are beyond your control as well and therefore we offer one of the best warranties in the industry.
Carrier provided a compressor in June at no cost for the part, under the terms of the Carrier warranty. This compressor assumed the balance of the original year compressor warranty which expired on March 28, 2017. Unfortunately, I must deny your request for a new unit.I understand this is not the solution you are seeking however I appreciate the opportunity to provide our position.Regards,Lynn ***Consumer Liasion - Executive Office*** *** ***

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,*** *** Thank youI am still awaiting the replacements -- have they shipped yet?

Dear Ms***,I am sorry that you chose to replace your equipment on 9/8/17. Unfortunately, Carrier/ICP do not own the dealers. They are independent companies. Why one dealer diagnosed coil failures, and another said it was a compressor, is something I am unable to verify now that the system has been removed.Again, I am sorry you encountered a problem and hope your new system provides you with many years of comfort.Regards,Lynn ***Carrier/ICP

Received a response directly from Carrier which we are acceptingThis can be closed at this time

Dear *** ***,
I am sorry to hear that you had a problem with your new Carrier equipment.
I checked your warranty and see that you registered for the warranty extension on parts, therefore your equipment carries a full years on all parts. Unfortunately, that is the maximum
warranty we offer therefore I am unable to provide an additional extension. Carrier does not hold the warranty on the labor. This is held by your installing dealer
Again, I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and am confident the equipment will provide you with many years of trouble free comfort

Lynn N***

Dear MsHart-Hamilton,
Carrier's position remains as noted on 11/23.
Carrier recommends the equipment be inspected annually by a licensed HVAC technician

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. As I read your response, I saw that "the information provided in the product registration is very important to our Marketing team" but I wonder why, if it is important to you, you don't make it a requirement that your Bryant-authorized installers are aware of this requirement? Because I am the original purchaser, nothing has changed in what I would have stated as my information if I filled out the product registration two years agoI have proof of a quality install as well and regular maintenanceI don't believe that you are bound by the terms listed in the warranty certificate, which, by the way was buried deeply in your copious installation and maintenance paperworkI additionally don't understand why you don't elevate the visibility of the registration requirement in a manner so as to insure that it is seen by the product owner. My installer was not even aware of the requirement that I complete the registration paperwork within daysAnd he only installs Bryant HVACX productsI also saw in your documentation that some states do not allow you to force such a requirement, which leads me to believe that it is a predatory practiceI am not asking for anything more than what was represented to me when I chose to purchase your productIn addition, I want to express how difficult it was to even identify who to reach out to when I had questionsI had to call six or seven different numbers as your company is quite large and diverseThe person that I eventually asked to help me identify to whom I should list in my Revdex.com complaint said that she could not help me with that and that I needed to do more research on my ownWhat kind of response is that? My feeling is that if you truly wanted your customers to have a year warranty on their product, you provide it without strings attached (or at LEAST clearly and obviously state the requirement)I am disappointed in your responseI restate that I feel I deserve a year warranty on my furnace and AC as originally represented at time of purchase.Regards,*** ***
