an additional along inside each of those same packages for preview with no obligation to purchase as it states on the order form in the American Mint Satisfaction Guarantee. This paragraph also states “You will be billed only for the items you decide to keep. If you pay by credit card, future shipments will not be charged until 25 days after the invoice date. You are under no obligation! If you are not satisfied with any item that is shipped to you, you may send it back within 20 days at our cost for replacement, credit or refund.” Enclosed are copies of these order forms. We do provide postage paid return labels upon request, as it states on the reverse side of our “Returns Information Form” enclosed in all of our packages. Our hours of operation, email address and toll free phone number are also located on this paperwork.[redacted]’s complaint states that he returned all the items he is being billed then changed his statement and said he never received the merchandise that he was being billed for, due to a change of address that we never received. Enclosed is a copy of order forms from October 2015 as current as March 2016 and [redacted] never mentioned a change of address. If American Mint were informed of this prior to his call phone call on 05/09/16, we would have sent paperwork stating that the merchandise in question was indeed not received and lost in the mail. We would have [redacted] to sign, date, and return the paperwork to our office for processing and clearing of the invoice(s).We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused [redacted]. Please let me know if you need anything further. Thank you for your assistance in settling this matter.Sincerely,Susan D.Director of Client Services

04/03/2017Dear [redacted]I am writing in reference to [redacted]'s complaint. We received an introductory order form in the mail from [redacted] on 02/10/2017 for a Donald Trump - Battle coin. There was a $16.90 payment received at that time (the coin was $9.95 plus $6.95 for the shipping and...

The order was on back order, so [redacted] called 03/10/2017 and canceled the order.[redacted]'s complaint states that she canceled her order for the Donald Trump - Battle coin and requested a refund for the $16.90 she paid. She also requested that we cancel any open collections she may have and advised us she refused the last package we sent to her. The tracking number [redacted], confirms the package was refused 03/22/2017 and is on its way back to American Mint. [redacted] called American Mint 03/10/2017, 03/20/2017 and 03/27/2017 spoke with our overflow call center and was advised she should receive her refund check within 2-4 weeks. Due to the high work load we were behind on processing refunds, but the refund request was processed and [redacted] should have her refund check within the next 2-4 weeksWe apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused [redacted]. Dear [redacted]:I am writing in reference to [redacted] complaint. We received an introductory order form in the mail from [redacted] on 12/8/2016 for a 50 Years Investment Strike coin. A coupon Was applied to [redacted] account in order to cover her balance. (The 50 Years Investment Strike...

coin was $19.95.) This package was shipped to [redacted] address on 1/6/2017. The next item in the collection series, a Princess Diana coin, was shipped to [redacted] address on 1/24/2017 to preview with no obligation to purchase as it states on the order form in the American Mint Satisfaction Guarantee. This paragraph also states "You will be billed only for the items you decide to keep. If you pay by credit card, future shipments will not be charged until 25 days after the invoice date. You are under no obligation! If you are not satisfied with any item that is shipped to you, you may send it back within 20 days at our cost for replacement, credit or refund.“We do provide postage paid return labels upon request, as it states on the reverse side of our "Returns Information Form” enclosed in all of our packages. Our hours of operation, email address and toll free phone number are also located on this paperwork.[redacted] had filed a previous complaint with the Revdex.com (ID [redacted]), which American Mint had previously responded to in its initial response letter dated 5/31/2017. American Mint will restate the facts surrounding [redacted] initial complaint and then address her new allegations in her instant complaint. Please note that American Mint never received the return of the Princess Diana coin. On 4/1/2017, [redacted] contacted American Mint’s customer service center and indicated that she had returned the Princess Diana coin. However, an American Mint customer service representative informed [redacted] that it had not received her return package containing the Princess Diana coin. [redacted] claimed that she had mailed the package using her own return label. The customer Service representative informed [redacted] that she could have contacted American Mint for a postage paid, self-addressed return label for use with her return if she had called earlier. [redacted] was advised to contact her local post office with her tracking information in order to locate the package or file a claim with them. American Mint is not able to track packages which do not contain its own mailing labels. On 4/5/2017. American Mint cancelled [redacted] subscription to the Princess Diana coin collection series. On this date, [redacted] again called American Mint. This time, she again claimed that she had returned the Princess Diana coin. She also stated that she received a bill for this item and Would not pay for something that she did not order. American Mints customer Service representative informed [redacted] that they still had not received her return package containing the Princess Diana coin and that it could not track her package as she did not use American Mints postage paid, self-addressed return label. The representative advised [redacted] to use American Mint’s return labels in the future for all returns.Per [redacted] initial complaint, American Mint had processed [redacted] accountinternally as a post loss. Therefore, we cleared [redacted] account balance and enclosed an account cleared letter. In her instant complaint, [redacted] claims that on 5/29/2017 she wrote a check for her account to be paid in full. On 5/31/2017, [redacted] alleges that she received an e-mail from the Revdex.com Stating that the debt had been forgiven and credited to her account so she called her bank and put a stop payment on the check she had mailed. On 6/7/2017, she allegedly received a letter from American Mint dated 5/26/2017 claiming that her account had been sent to collections. Again, on 5/31/2017, she alleges that she received an e-mail from the Revdex.com stating that American Mint had forgiven her account. [redacted] states that she has yet to receive a letter from American Mint Stating this. Please note that American Mint did include an account cleared letter with its initial response letter dated 5/31/2017. It appears that [redacted]’s check was sent out before American Mint had initially processed [redacted]’s account internally as a post loss on 5/31/2017. On 6/2/2017, American Mint received [redacted] check ([redacted]) which was put towards her post loss. [redacted] had apparently already cancelled the check at the time American Mint received it. This is why [redacted] was charged additional fees for writing a bad check.Per [redacted] instant complaint, American Mint has again processed [redacted] account internally as a post loss and has written off her bad check fees. Thus, we have cleared [redacted] account balance. Enclosed is a current account cleared letter. [redacted] should receive no further billing Statements as of 6/20/2017. If [redacted] should receive a billing statement dated prior to 6/20/2017, she should either discard or ignore such statements.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused [redacted]. Please let me know if you need anything further. Thank you for your assistance in settling this matter.Sincerely,Director of Client Services[redacted]Dear [redacted],Thank you very much for your recent correspondence. Your letter has been referred to us for reply. We would like to inform you that your account has been cleared.Thank you for choosing AMERICAN MINT. Should you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our Customer Service Department.Sincerely yours,Customer Service Department??

A postage paid return label was sent to [redacted]. On 9/30/15 we received the First Amendment coin as a return. On 10/19/15, we spoke again with [redacted] and sent him another postage paid return label in order to return the Tenth Amendment coin. Upon receipt of the Tenth Amendment coin, we would reship the First Amendment coin to [redacted] called us on 11/4/15 stating that he had returned the Tenth Amendment coin and that the tracking label showed we had received it on 10/29/15. We advised [redacted] to allow more time for our records to be updated. On 11/5/15, [redacted]'s account we credited for the return of the Tenth Amendment commemorative coin. A copy of [redacted]'s current account statement is enclosed. Due to an oversight, the First Amendment coin was not reshipped to [redacted] when we received his return. 12/30/2015Dear [redacted],I am writing in reference to [redacted]'s complaint. We have received multiple introductory order forms in the mail from her father, [redacted]. All order forms contain the American Mint Satisfaction Guarantee which informs the customer that they are enrolling in a subscription to receive additional items for preview with no obligation to purchase. This paragraph also states "You will be billed only for the items you decide to keep. If you pay by credit card, future shipments will not be charged until 25 days after the invoice date. You are under no obligation! If you are not satisfied with any item that is shipped to you, you may send it back within 20 days at our cost for replacement, credit or refund.”We do provide postage paid return labels upon request, as it states on the reverse side of our "Returns Information Form” enclosed in all of our packages. Our hours of operation, email address and toll free phone number are also located on this paperwork. We received a letter from [redacted] on 8/20/15 asking to be removed from our mailing list. We then received an email on 8/26/15 also asking to be removed from our mailing list. We advised [redacted] that we had processed his 8/20/15 request and that it could take up to 90 days for all advertisements to cease. [redacted] called on 12/18/15 requesting an account statement for invoice 10 and a current account statement was mailed to [redacted] showing were all checks had been credited. On 12/29/15 we received an email from [redacted] stating that her father was receiving bills and coins that he did not want and that he had requested mailings be stopped on 8/20/15. We advised [redacted] that her father had been removed from further advertisement and product mailings and he was being billed for invoice 10 which had been sent on 6/30/15. We further advised [redacted] that a postage paid return label could be provided if needed. We received another email from [redacted] on 12/30/15 requesting that, if her father pays off the outstanding balance, we stop sending him any products and provide a zero balance statement in writing. We advised [redacted] that if the outstanding balance was paid, a zero balance statement could be provided. [redacted] was further advised that all open subscriptions for [redacted] have been cancelled and that he would not receive any additional items unless he places an additional order. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused [redacted]. Please let me know if you need anything further. Thank you for your assistance in settling this matter.Sincerely,Director of Client Services

7/31/2015Dear [redacted],I am writing in reference to [redacted]’s complaint. We received an introductory order form in the mail from [redacted] on 3/27/15 for a 2015 Silver Eagle. We received payment of $24.90 ($19.95 for the coin plus $4.95 for shipping and handling) with check #[redacted]. This package...

Hello,You wrote:"Before processing the complaint, we need you to provide some additional information.  Please respond to the following points:
Please provide the name and address of your father.  If you have
an account number for American Mint, please provide this as well." ...

CONSUMER INFO:[redacted]West Sacramento, CA [redacted].comAmerican Mint Account: [redacted]--------------Note: American Mint replied to me via email on Tue, Dec 29, 2015 at 8:07 AM.  I will discuss their response with my dad to see if it's accurate.  However, I would still like to submit a complaint.  From the other complaints, this seems to be American Mint's business practice: Consumer buys one item, and pays for it.  Seller then sends consumer "preview items" via an unwanted subscription that the consumer must return (with his/her own money - since no return label is included) if s/he doesn't want to be billed.Thank you.

8/12/2015Dear [redacted],I am writing in reference to [redacted]’ complaint. On 5/29/15, we placed an order over the telephone for 5 White Tailed Deer knives. [redacted] paid $49.75 with [redacted] “[redacted]. This package was shipped to [redacted]’ address on 6/1/15. In mid July, American Mint received...

notification that [redacted] disputed the credit card charge of $49.75 for the 5 knives with a dispute reason of “cardholder does not recognize transaction.” [redacted]’ complaint states that American Mint has no records of issuing [redacted] a RGA fo return the product. American Mint mails USPS return labels with tracking and one was not mailed under [redacted]’ account #[redacted] for five White Tailed Deer Knives.[redacted] contacted American Mint on 8/10/15 via telephone and stated that he disputed the credit card charge because he paid for the Turkey Knife. This account is outstanding for five White Tailed Deer Knives. However, [redacted] has another account with American Mint that is under [redacted]. A Wild Turkey Knife was returned on that account. However, that invoice was not billed to the credit card. On his other account, [redacted] was billed $59.95 for a Black Bear knife that was shipped with his other order for five White Tailed Deer knives. The Black Bear Knife has not been returned. This credit card charge was recently disputed. In short, [redacted] has two accounts. His outstanding account #[redacted] is under [redacted]. That account has one order that consists of 5 White Tailed Deer Knives that were ordered and paid for over the telephone. That account is outstanding since [redacted] filed a credit card dispute. [redacted]’ other account #2434.8660 is under **. [redacted] and that account has two invoices. The first invoice is another order of 5 White Tailed Deer Knives for $49.75, as well as a Black Bear Knife that was sent for preview with no obligation as it states on our order forms in the American Mint Satisfaction Guarantee. The balance of the black Bear knife was billed to [redacted]’ credit card in the amount of $59.95. This credit card charge was recently disputed. The Black Bear Knife has not been returned. The second invoice consists of a Wild Turkey knife that was shipped as a continuation of the “Big Game Hunting Knives” collection. The Wild Turkey Knife was not billed to the credit card and was returned, which reconciled the account balance. [redacted] should have a total of 10 White Tailed Deer Knives as well as a Black Bear Knife. [redacted] may return the Black Bear Knife for a refund.Attached is the delivery confirmation for both packages, as well as an account statement for both accounts. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused [redacted]. Please let me know if you need anything further. Thank you for your assistance in settling this matter.Sincerely,Susan D.Director of Client Services

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Clarification:According to American Mint, I only contacted them twice.  In actuality I spoke with there service dept. between 5 and 8 times.  They did promise ( on three of those conversations ) to send a form for reporting a returned or possibly lost item.  I have yet to received the described form.  I was also told that my acct would be but on hold.  Neither of which occurred.  I continue to receive letters threatening collection.  In fact the latest one was received this morning on 10/20/15.  I spoke with there representative this morning requesting something in writing that my account was paid in full and that I have no further financial responsibility to American Mint.  The dollars have no significance to me, but the aggravation is a headache.  I wonder if they make this type treatment of their customers a common practice, hoping persons will just pay the acct (as I ultimately did) and leave it at that.  I suppose that makes it profitable for American Mint.
