To the Revdex.com, The complaint as stated by the customer is “An Alder technician, Tyler M***, visited my home June 4, and offered to upgrade my current alarm systemHe purposely deceived us into believing Alder was somehow affiliated with our existing service providerI learned of this deception beyond the three day grace period.” In the call that I attached in our original response the question is asked of Mr*** “Do you understand that Alder does not have, nor has ever had, any relationship with ***?” Mr*** responded “yes.” This call was made before the system was installed and the three day right of rescission began the day afterRegardless of what MrM*** may have said to Mr***, the claim that he was not informed that we were a separate company from his previous provider has been proven to be incorrect We are still willing to pay the remaining balance of Mr***’s agreement with his previous provider and to help in any other way that we can but we are unable to cancel the agreement at this time Sincerely, Brandt N*** | Alder Compliance Manager

I am rejecting this response because: Their response is in conflict with what they have been telling me on the phone. Alabama has had problems with predatory alarm companies and now requires them to be registered. I trying to determine if the name change from Alabama Alarm to Alarm Protection Alder was because Alabama Alarm was one of the fraudulent companies. So, first. Alder has only provided one page of a multi-page contract. Please provide a copy of the complete contract.Second, provide documentation that Alabama Alarm was operating legally in Alabama at the time of the 'name change'

I am rejecting this response because: Plenty of explanation and examples where given as to MrWydicks behaviorI am not sure what is unclearThe reason my daughter knows everything is because my husband and I went to her with our concerns about being scammed and bullied into a service we did not did wantWe asked her to speak on our behalfWe have no problem contacting a lawyer as well as the local TV station concerning the way in which we were taken advantage of and scared into this contractWe are trying to keep this between us but would be ok with taking it as far as it needs to go and as public as it needs to go to remove this from our home and get out of this contract

would receive a call to check on the status of the alarmIf I set it off or if I have a breakinThat never happened when I set the alarm off.”Response: Mr*** called us on 8/24/asking why he hadn’t received a call and we explained that because the alarm was disarmed within seconds a call was never madeThe system allows the individual seconds to disarm it to differentiate between someone returning home and an actual intruder.Allegation 2: “The customer service people will not help with fixing the problem, they pass you back and forth.”Response: The notes on Mr***’s account show that we have tried troubleshooting with him over the phone to fix the problems to avoid charging him the cost of dispatching a technicianThe notes from 2/6/state that Mr*** informed us that he didn’t believe the door sensor was placed correctly and after we were unable to resolve it over the phone the representative stated that he was sending a technician at no charge to fix the problem.In addition to the dispatch of the technician we will credit Mr***’s account months of service at no charge as a gesture of goodwillThank you for your assistance with this matter.Sincerely, Brandt N*** | Alder Compliance Manager

I am rejecting this response because:As I stated previously, my mother is over years old and is on a fixed incomeShe informed me that she was told by the company representative that they were merging with her previous service provider and her payments would ultimately be going to themShortly thereafter my mother learned that her previous service provider was not joining with them as she was erroneously toldAdditionally, she found that she, several other elderly, and low income Black families were told the same informationThis behavior is surely a scam perpetrated against a certain segment of a given community to lock them into a five year contract and make moneyIt is my understanding that her previous provider only required - months, it was their optionAlthough we were not familiar with this company in our area, we were able to conduct research through the internet, media sources, members of the law enforcement community, and Department of Defense legal offices to determine if this company has a pattern of behaviorit was evident, through even basic media that my mother is not the first elderly person to succumb to this activityIn addition, shortly after completing the paperwork with this company, whether it was someone within the company or persons unknown usurped her identity and began using it for illegal purposesAt (I mistakenly stated in the previous message), she is a member of the elderly community and in her particular area of Cleveland, it is well known that companies and individuals have targeted the elderly and low income personnel for illegal gainWe humbly request that this company cancel her service, withdraw any past due fees, collection actions, and remove her name from within the companies record systemsTherefore, since numerous persons have been part of this action, we also (if not mentioned before) plan to file a claim with the U.SBureau of Consumer Protection and the Ohio Attorney General's Office, Consumer Protection Section.

I am rejecting this response because: Mrs*** want this contract to be cancelled because she was not told how many years and that there was a contract and was told could cancell as long cancell as long as it was before day which is what mrs*** didand was told it would be a month so the representative lied about everything because they are charging a month this representative of this company falsely gave information on purpose to get a sale which to me is unlawful.
