Upon review of the customer’s
complaint we have found that both our store, warehouse, store manager and warehouse manager have tried to reach this customer multiple timesWe have also sent delivery trucks to the customer’s home on different occasions to try and pick the furniture up but the customer was not home and would not answer their phone nor call us backThe warehouse has stated if she will be home today 8/24/and will speak with them they would come by again today to get the furnitureThe store manager has asked that the employees of the store no longer contact this customer themselves due to when they did speak with the customer they were quite verbally abusiveOur agents have been trying their best to take care of and satisfy this customer but have been unsuccessful
Without picking up the customer’s furniture that is in the home we would not be able to process the refund for those piecesAgain, the warehouse stated they will be trying to reach the customer again today

Thank you again for your response in regards to your complaintWe do apologize you do not feel as though this issue has been resolvedAlthough the credit was offered back in April the credit did not get processed until 5/21/It can take up to billing cycles once the credit is processed for your finance company to show the credit on your accountPlease allow atleast one more billing cycle for the credit to be applied

The offer for an I store credit that wouldn't be enough to replace the defective furniture they sold us is an insultWhy would I want to get another piece of shoddy furniture from them? They don't even fully back the first product that was purchasedFor them to state that is a manufacturer defect and then not replace the defective furniture says a lot about this company. I want the defective furniture replaced or for them to pay for it to be reupholstered. I am trying to avoid involving legal counsel, but that time is quickly running outI'm sure some me of our local news agencies would love to do an investigatory story and see how many other customers are getting shafted by Ashley Furniture by them selling defective furniture

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI was told face to face by the manager *** that delivery would be taken off when the sale was finalized upon our return to complete financing and look at mattressesBottom line it isn't noted in their system anywhere so its my word versus theirs but the event they were hosting was for 30% off and free deliveryThey price matched my competitors offer as they said they would before we came in for this transaction so I am confused why they are saying they do not price match competitors when they did and I was also told they did on my initial visit when we first spoke to ***Also why would they only price match from their company website? Shouldn't the pricing and sales be the same no matter if I go online or into a store? It looks like Ashley made quite a few "special" considerations for me here and free delivery was part of the sale I was attendingThey told me I would get free delivery and when I went to pay for the order they changed their minds, bottom lineThey spoke negatively about their own product stating "reclaimed pine" was an inferior wood and that Ashley is solid wood when infact the set we were buying is reclaimed pineThey were trying to make the competitors product they were matching appear inferior which is why it would be so much cheaper but that wasn't the caseAs I said we were going in there to look at mattresses as well as our rep *** requested we do so they could have a chance to match or beat the mattress we wanted from Mattress FirmWe were approved for $8,in financing when we returned to the store and as soon as we saw them back away from the previously agreed upon terms of the initial purchase we chose not to spend another dollar in Ashley ever again All I can say is that this was a good learning experience regarding sleezy sales techniques to get the sale that day and make weekly or monthly numbers regardless of what is promised to the customerI'm not asking for anything I wasn't told I would receive when I put the deposit down, they back tracked from what I was told he day the deposit was put donw and I will never buy anything from Ashley ever againThey bold faced lied to me regardless of what they saySimply look it up, the event on the day I put the deposit down was for free deliveryEven though they price matched the store manager *** who did the price match said he would honor free delivery when we came back to finalize the sale and set a delivery dateThey will NEVER get any of our business ever again and I really hope there are no issues with our delivery

***’s concerns, the sofa sleeper we are attempting to delivery does have the correct mattress. The sofa sleeper Ms*** ordered only comes with the memory foam option. The mattress will appear somewhat different than a memory foam mattress due to having to be folded up and stored inside the sofa. At this time, we feel we have filled our obligations to Ms***.
