Revdex.com: My furniture purchase with Ashley Furniture in Daytona Beach Florida has been a very daunting experience for meI am extremely upset that a furniture store is allowed to get away with selling furniture that is defectiveI would like for Revdex.com to please keep my complaint:I bought a piece Damacio brown leather sectional 3/25/from Ashley Furniture in Daytona Beach Flwhich was delivered April 1, for the total price $Right from the delivery, there were various defective problems with part of the sectionals I immediately reported to the storeAshley sent me a new Right Arm sectional to replace the one with the issueThe new Right Arm recliner they sent also had issues as it was so hard and stiff that you could not sit on itI contacted Ashley and they sent a technician. The technician did agree that the recliner was indeed very stiff and hard and he proceeded to remove some of the fillings from the back of the recliner which made it soft enough that a person could sit on it. It seems that the other recliners also had issues and were extremely hard and stiffIn September I went directly to the store to see if they take these recliner sectional back and that I was willing to pick different couches. The store indicated that the timing to report issues had elapsed and there was nothing the actual store could do that I had to take my issues to customer serviceWhich is a phone for location in another stateAt this point I proceeded to file a complaint through American Express for a possible charge back( since I had paid with my Amex card.) After a long wait with Amex company, they responded to me that they could not work with Ashley due to the specified timing for purchases to be covered had expired since it was now more than monthsSo I left things as they were even though the sectional couches were extremely uncomfortable and very stiff seats In Sept 20, new problems aroused where the right side arm recliner totally collapsedMind you, we only have myself and year old daughter in the house and my daughter very rare sits on the couchI proceeded to call GBS Enterprise which is the company that holds the Furniture Protection Plan I had purchased through Ashley I have been working with this company to get this resolved since Sept and this issue is not yet fully resolved by December 15, They had ordered the part unfortunately it takes months for them to get the part inAfter the initial visit, they indicated the recliner needed a mechanical gear kitI waited for the Mechanical Kit to arrive from Ashley and was waiting to get GBS schedule when to come to installGBS finally came on December 7th and found that they didn't receive the motor. In the interim, the left side arm recliner motor had also stopped working in addition to making electrical noise I called GBS prior to their December 7th visit and had put in a new claim for the new issueThe left recliner motor was then fixed when they came on December 7thNow more waiting with a broken motor for the right arm recliner. I am very disappointed with these piece brown leather sectional recliners that I purchased from Ashley furniture companyThe company was made aware of some issues not too long from when the furniture was purchasedI even inquired about getting replacement furniture to which I was told I could not getWas told I had to work with what I had. I feel there should be some type of consumer protection for customers when they buy a product that does not meet satisfactionI paid a decent price and should have had better quality productThe company is stating that the one year warranty has expired however they were not really willing to exchange the furniture when I had purchased within months of purchase which was well within the one year warranty periodThey simply stated there was not anything the store could do about it.After submitting my complaint with the Revdex.com, their end respond to my complaint is that the furniture is out of the one year manufacturing warranty, If any further issues to use my protection planThis is totally unacceptable to a consumer as I had brought all my issues to them when I was under warranty in addition to asking for replacement furniture as I was not satisfied with the sectional recliners due to the issues mentioned

I do apologize but with the technicians report from last year along with our quality team’s report we would not able to further assist with this customer’s complaint

After review of the photos, we have decided that for the loveseat since it is still a current item we will exchange it. Like for like same loveseat she has now just a new one. The recliners are discontinued so they are no longer availableFor those we will allow in store credit of 50% of what she paid for the chairs to keep them AS IS. Nancy can use that credit to purchase anything in the store. We are unable to do anything for the ottoman as it is not under warranty anymore. After review of the photos we did not see anything cracking or peeling of the leather/durablend materialAll of the items are almost years old, so they are all outside of the manufacturing warranty by almost years. Our manufacturing warranty is only for year. I received a response from you that was submitted by the Ashley Home-store here in Tampa FL regarding my complaint and I denied their responseOne item I would like noted if possible is that the response from Ashley states their sales rep *** was shaking and I was being very aggressive in the store towards herThe rep (***) in questions here called me from a personal cell phone about hours after this interaction to apologize for how my wife and I were treatedI know I cannot prove context of conversation but I can prove that she called me from her personal cell that day after I supposedly frightened her and I feel as if Ashley is now attacking me and my character falselyIs this able to be noted as I will be contacting an attorney about this issue and would like it part of my Revdex.com complaintOr how do I go about filing that detail as part of my complaintI forgot to mention that detail when I denied their response and was reminded by my wife when she got home from work that *** had called us later that evening

review of Mr***’s complaint, we have found that a claim was filed with Ashley Furniture through our warranty departmentWe sent out a tech on 10/22/and the tech reported back there were not any manufacturing defects on the chaise, however the store did authorized a replacement for the chaiseMr*** called Ashley Furniture stating the LAF recliner and chaise were flatWe ordered parts that were shipped directly to the homeAnother tech was sent out on 2-19-to install the parts and resolve the issueIn June of the store sent out a courtesy tech to install a cushion, as the furniture is now out of the year manufacturing warrantyThe technician reported another cushion and casing needed to be ordered, so we ordered the parts and sent out the technician to install the rest of the courtesy partsMr*** called us again on 12/07/and was referred to his protection plan, Guardsman as the furniture is out of the one year manufacturing warranty At this time Mr*** can reach out to Guardsman for any accidental damages Regards, Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc.Corporate OfficeAK

We have reviewed the brochure of the Guardsman Protection Plan, and Under the section “What is covered” only states (any human or pet bodily fluids)The brochure shows under “What is not Covered” stains or damage caused by animals, except pet bodily fluids Under state law of Georgia, it is State Mandate, that a refund for Mr***’s protection plan, would need to be processed through Guardsman
