Regards,
[redacted] I was not told that the purchase of a engine was not warrantable if you don't activate a warranty when it should be done with the purchase I am still warranty the engine for the customer of mine I am purchasing a new head and pistons to fix engine. I plan to be in business for sometime and word of mouth is the quickest way to kill a business that's why gotengines changed name to south west engine supply. When they took my money no one said that the warranty had to be called in what a way out of being responsible for what they sell, it only tells me that its poor business and disheartening to know that there still misleading the public by killing one business and starting a knew name too mislead the public and using the internet to deceive the purchaser. when the engine was purchased was only told that the engine had a warranty of 3 years 36k and no one said it had to be activated. the business needs to be held accountable.

The complainant never paid "extra" as claimed as all of our warranties are free. Per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty, which all customers must agree to when making the purchase, activation must occur within 10 days of receiving the engine. The complainant ordered on...
11/12/14 and received the engine approximately 2 weeks after this date. Our system does not show any activation attempts until 5/10/16 which is well after the 10 day requirement. Had the complainant followed the requirements to activate the Free Warranty, we could look inot her claim further and see if the claim is valid. However, due to the fact the complainant did not fulfill this requirement, we can no longer review any claims made. We do our best to highlight the fact the Free Warranty must be activated as stated in the Terms and Conditions when placing the order as well as placing a predominant link on every invoice. We encourage all customers to follow the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty to avoid this situation.
We simply cannot always provide proof such as a VIN #or CarFax report due to what source we receive the engine from and the records they supply. Most will only supply us mileage listed off the odometer of the vehicle it was taken from. If we had the information available which was requested we would gladly forward it to the customer as we have done may times. We are very clear is letting the customer know the mileage is estimated and our Representatives will tell customers the same thing we have stated here when speaking with them. We cannot honor a claim based on the opinion of a mechanic.

The complainant is requesting a full refund due to length of time it took for engine to be shipped out. Shipping normally is 7-14 business days but it does take time to clean, test, and prep an engine for shipment. The complainant ordered the engine on 8/15/16 and the engine was shipped out on 9/1....
This is 13 business days from order to shipment day. We state "Typical shipping time usually takes between 7-14 business days, but could be a little longer due to unusual circumstances (such as weather, volume, etc.)" http://www.qualityusedengines.com/faq.html. Currently engine is out for shipment and will be delivered to the complainant. the complainant should receive the engine he ordered in a timely fashion and that should resolve any issues the complainant has with this purchase or our company.

The complainant purchased their engine on 1/3/2017 and received the engine on 1/24/2017. The complainant alleges that when the repair shop tried to install the engine there was issues pertaining to a cracked oil pan. We do show that the complainant has to this date not activated their...
warranty. Per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty, Line 10: "Engine or transmission must be installed AND warranty activated within 10 business days of delivery OR ALL WARRANTIES WILL BE VOID. Falsifying information will automatically void your warranty." http://www.swengines.com/warranty.php. Since the complainant did not complete the registration of their warranty, we will not be able to honor any repairs current or future on their purchased engine. Even if the complainant tried to reach out to us, they are still able to activate the warranty on our website which they can do at any time. We hope this closes this matter and any issues going forward.
This is a very old case and we are not able to look into the tracking of the shipment any longer. According to our records we never received the item back. In order to settle this case, we will need the complainant to attach/send all proof of where the return was received, customer...
claims Appleton Recycling, and we will review the case further. Furthermore, the complaintant claims we sent the wrong engine and this is simply not the case. The complainant ordered via the web whichs means a Representative did not place the order for him and therefore we cannot take resposibility here. If the complaintant called and inquired about what engine he needed, the Represeantative would of only been able to advise based off the information given at this time. Please provide all documentation and we will review the case further and come to a decision.

SWEngines claims of falsification are attempts to obfuscate the issue. Their warranty is a guise of subterfuge. The issue is they sent a bad engine (as they have done to numerous other people). They also reference their warranty as a statement of fact which has yet to be verified" ...also per line 19 of our Free Warranty: "19.Engines are tested, visually inspected and cleaned." this engine was examined and prepped at our location and it was not a "brokered" engine as the complainant is stating." I requested that they send validation of the testing they performed on the engine that was sent to me. That was never done. So, there is no evidence that any testing was done. The mechanic who installed the engine tested it and found 4 cylinders were cracked. When this information was provided in a diagnostics report to SWEngines, they curtly replied, "We need the test numbers per Cyl". The mechanic replied to SWEngines, "Which test numbers do you need, and I will send them." There was never any response from SWEngines. Subsequently, the engine was removed and on closer inspection, the engine was found to have numerous issues not characteristic of an engine with the miles specified. In the words of the Revdex.com (that is you), "[redacted] [redacted], which may also do business under the name[redacted],[redacted]with the Revdex.com." So, this "company" is clearly a racket. My situation is simply more evidence of that.

The complainant purchased a used transfer case from us on 12/7/2017. The complainant did agree to the Terms and Conditions of our Free Warranty with their initial purchase of the used transfer case. The complainant is requesting a refund in the amount of $590.00 due to wrong part...
ordered/received.The complainant stated that the transfer case that was sent to them was the wrong one for their vehicle. Upon further investigation, the transfer case the complainant did purchase and order was the wrong one for their vehicle. Due to this order issue, we did agree to the complainants request for a refund, and offered a full refund in the amount of $590.00 back to the purchasing card on 2/9/2018.Please let us know if you need any further information from us. The information contained in the business response is totally false. The engine WAS shipped with old spark plugs installed which I paid to have removed instead of shipping it back to the business for their removal and paying for shipping back. The timing chain cover had been repaired with JB Weld and it is useless. I have tried numerous times to contact customer service and manager [redacted] from the business and either there is no answer or no responses from voice mail. Their response is not satisfactory.

The Terms and conditions of the Free Warranty clearly state on line 1: Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers, and oil pumps. We do not warranty any attached accessory parts, such as switches, sensors, cables, electronics,...
belts, hoses, water pumps, manifolds, wire harnesses, valve covers, brackets, flywheel etc. Additionally, on line 15: We do not warranty oil leaks/damage on engines or transmissions due to non-replaced seals, gaskets or filters. The Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty must be read and agreed upon before placing the order and is indicated by selecting the text box as confirmation before moving forward and purchasing the part. Therefore, the claim was denied based on these Terms and Conditions. We often see may automotive shops not doing their due diligence before installing a used engine. The yellow tag which we have attached to the engine and have attached here clearly states all gaskets should be inspected and replaced, if needed, and specifically states the Rear Main Seal has to be replaced. We do not know how much clearer we can be an attempting to make all these points clear. We suggest the complainant pursue this matter with the shop and would be more than happy to assist with this matter if the information provided above does not suffice.
The complainant is asking for us to cover the expense of installing the 2nd engine we had shipped to them. The original engine we had shipped to the complainant had issues with the original engine so we did end up shipping out a 2nd one. The complainant had issues with the Terms and...
Conditions of our Free Warranty but they did agree with them when they completed the purchase of the engine. With any replacement, the complainant usually covers the shipping cost but we did waive this to help assit them. Also, per the Terms and Conditions of our Free Warranty, per line 6: "6.Warranty does not cover initial installation." this would speak to either engine 1 or engine 2 that the complainant recieved. We feel the complainant is not owed any other monitary refund and hope this closes this matter and any issues going forward.

I was SHOCKED to read the response from the business. The only truth in that statement was that the damaged items were the front pulley and the timing cover. None of what they claim to have "told" me was ever said, and I did not "wait" three months to file a claim. The engine was delivered on January 2, 2015. The damage was reported immediately upon unwrapping the engine, which was delivered and unwrapped in front of witnesses. The damage was documented by pictures at that time.I called Engine and Transmission world immediately after the damage was found. I spoke to [redacted], who told me to send the invoice for the repair and I would be reimbursed. For reference, I sent, on January 4th, the original pictures of the damage. Two weeks later, I re-sent the pictures along with the invoice for the repair. A week after that, I followed up with a phone call that was not returned, and another email. For the next three months, I sent emails and made phone calls that were not returned. On March 18, 2015, I received the following email from [redacted]: "We got it and we will give you credit for switching the pulleys." When I still hadn't been reimbursed four weeks later, I followed up with another email. I have yet to be reimbursed. All of the emails were included in my original Revdex.com complaint. Obviously, no one bothered to read them.

We believe this was just a mix up which we have resolved with the customer. The complaint was filed on 8/22/17 and we had delivered the product to the customer's shop on 8/14/17. Since receiving the complaint, we have contacted both the shop and the customer. We were able...
to get a hold of the complainant and he responded through email with the following: "Called you back left a message motor will be installed this week as soon as I get my core refund I will remove my complaint. I was advised by the Revdex.com to complete the entire transaction process first. Thank You" We hope this clears up the confusion regarding this matter.

I will look at the tracking numbers I have for the transmissions after the Holiday weekend. It only took four days for the tranny to get here I can't imagine why it would take 10 days to get back.
