Star Office Supply Reviews (2003)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[redacted]
Unfortunately, an apology does not fix a $[redacted] mistake that I should have been made aware of prior to now.  I have been in contact with Cincinnati Bell several times over the past year and not once has anyone advised me that there was indeed a bill still out there.  I do not have a problem paying for services that I used but to expect someone to pay $[redacted] and some dollars when the bill was originally $[redacted] is quite a jump, especially when there is only one income because I am a single parent.  I am curious as to how I am supposed to come up with that amount of money at one time and I am assuming that payment arrangements on the $[redacted] would be out of the question as it would appear it makes no difference that it was not the fault of it's customer.  So I guess at this time, no I do not accept their response...an apology does not change the fact that had I known this bill had been out there it could have been taken care of but to force someone to pay that amount at one time is completely unfair and ridiculous.  I have already been advised by Cincinnati Bell's customer service that both bills will ruin my credit if not paid, how does an apology fix that?

I JUST RECECIVED AN ELECTRONIC BILL AGAIN.  I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A PAPER BILL  - THIS IS A JOKE - I HAVE NOT GOTTEN A PAPER BILL YET THEY CONTINUE TO THINK THE ELECTRONIC BILLING IS SHUT OFF AND IT'S NOT.

Install at my last place went pretty smooth.  Over the last year I haven't called much but every time I do it seems like I'm talking to either a new worker or an incompetent one and nobody knows the right department to transfer me to.  Every time I get transferred I have to give all of my account and personal information all over again.  Shenanigans.  Thanks for addressing my complaint.Revdex.com:

Revdex.com:
This matter is not, and will not be closed until I receive an actual paper bill from Cincinnati Bill that is from their automated system. Seriously I just got a bill from them in a hand written envelope - b/c they printed it out and mailed it b/c their BILLING SYSTEM does not work yet.  I also just sent in $200 2 weeks ago and it says past due. The bill they sent is $176 so $200 should have covered it.  This makes no sense.  Their billing system should be sending me actual monthly bills. Again someone at corporate printed out 4 mo of staemetns on nice paper and put in an envelope and hand ad**essed it.  I even think I OVERPAID yet it says past due.It has BEEN ONE YEAR And they want to only credit me their late fees which is ridiculous. I want 6 months free for dealing with this insanity for 12 months.

RE: Service Order [redacted]

Cincinnati Bell is responding to the Rebuttal you filed with the Revdex.com.

Again, I apologize for any inconvenience and I did understand your settlement. You stated that you would not like to owe anything on your next bill.  Since service was not installed, there would not have been a bill to waive charges. We would have gladly waived your first bill.

I also found a final bill on [redacted] in the amount of $127.92.  Once your modem and power cord are returned, there will only be a $.72 balance owing. Please return your modem and power cord to any one of our Cincinnati Bell phone stores.

Per Cincinnati Bell’s Telephone Service Standards, we will not compensate for Loss of time and wages.

We can offer pricing of $139.98 for TV and Internet service you currently have. Your total cost prior was $90 for TV and Internet. There is still the additional charges of $24.97 for the boxes and DVR service which you currently have. This pricing would be with a 2 year agreement.

Cincinnati Bell holds account privacy in the highest regard. For your security and protection, we require an account verification process to be completed before discussing and/or making changes to your Cincinnati Bell account. I understand your frustration; however we are looking out for the protection of you and your account. According to our records your service has been disconnected and a final bill will be mailed within the next few weeks.
Thanks,

Cincinnati
Bell is responding to the rebuttal that you filed with the RevDex.com regarding the final bill.

Cincinnati Bell has resolved this issue.  It is our corporate policy not to prorate billing
on Fioptics TV or Fioptics Internet.  You
will be charged for the full month of service even if you only had service for
3 days in the billing cycle.

Cincinnati Bell’s cancellation policy: The monthly charge for service
will not be prorated for the final partial month of service.  The full monthly service fees will apply,
even if your service is active for only a partial month.

I have attached the receipt that was sent to you on 8-17-2014 at email
address [redacted].

Service was restored today. I will not accept this Business Response until I have received my next billing statement and it reflects the promised credit. I will not receive this statement for another week or so.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. **My View** A one month credit is not enough to make up for only receiving about half of the service I paid for. A total of 333.60 had been paid thus far, and I would like to be reimbursed at least $150 of that. I canceled service because it was terrible. Since having Time Warner Cable, my speeds have been at least 24 mbps. I got as low as 6 mbps and as high as 22 mbps with Cincinnati Bell. Add that together and divide by two, and you get an average speed of 14 Mbps. If we can reset the account to reflect that I got 15 Mbps internet instead of 30 Mbps, I will be happy.

RE: ###-###-####

Cincinnati Bell is responding to your Revdex.com rebuttal.

Cincinnati Bell is no longer maintaining the copper lines at your address. Converting the old copper technology to the fiber optic based network is allowing Cincinnati Bell to remain competitive in the marketplace, and provide our customers with the best and newest products and services available.

If you don’t want to pay to replace the battery you may take the battery out and not replace it. This will stop the beeping indicator but if your electricity goes out the battery backup will not work and you would not have a dial tone until the electricity came back on.

If you would like to schedule an appointment for Cincinnati Bell to replace the battery please call ###-###-#### to do so. As another option you could purchase a battery on your own and replace it yourself.

Again on behalf of Cincinnati Bell I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Cincinnati Bell considers this complaint closed.
