The coil is a sealed system and does not leak unless there is a whole. The damage is directly related to Freon. The policy does not cover any Freon issues or any damage related to Freon. This Agreement does NOT cover (i) air filters; (ii) Freon; (iii) Freon recapture; (iv) geothermal systems; (v) gas or propane air condition systems; (vi) air filtration systems; (vii) humidifiers; (viii) registers; (ix) grills; (x) stands; (xi) jacks; (xii) condenser casings; (xiii) pads; (xiv) vents; (xv) flues; (xvi) clogged lines; (xvii) condensation leaks; (xviii) mismatched systems; (xix) damaged ducts; (xx) improper wiring; and (xxi) improper piping;(xxii)freon leaks;(xxiii)damage caused by freon leak."The unit also had previous repairs due to Freon. We are going above the terms for the customer.
We spoke with the customer. A full refund will be processed back to the customers credit card. Please allow 3-5 days for the refund to post to account.
The contractors check was just printed yesterday and will be mailed out this week. No additional funds due at this time.
The customer placed a claim for a central vacuum issue. The customer was approved for the policy maximum reimbursement for this type of claim. The customer was not happy and requested top cancel. The refund was processed in accordance with the policy terms and a check will be mailed in the...

We have already approved the policy maximum for this claim. There is nothing more we can do here. We did waive the cancellation fee for the customer.
The customer was refunded and we only charged for one month of coverage and we waived the cancellation fee of 75.00 as a courtesy.

a cancellation fee. But we have not received our $100 reimbursement. The Service technician we paid out of pocket on 20Feb15 for $370 was to be reimbursed for a total of $100 as of 12 March15 and againtold same thing as of 27Mar15. We have never received a reimbursement check to this date, 13Apr15.

purchased the warranty we were informed that no maintenance records would be required in the case we filed a claim on our newly purchased home. It also states this on their website under "frequently asked questions". Further, when I spoke to a representative from Select Mortgage on May 26th I was told that the claim was approved and my check would be mailed out the next week. It wasn't until I called inquiring about the whereabouts of my refund that Select Home Warranty then told me I needed to provide maintenance records. I am still requesting a full refund.

19, 2017...was not to go into effect until July 01, 2017. If June 19, 2017 is the date the Policy went into effect, why were we denied service when we requested such on July 21, 2017?On July 21, 2017 we were told no claims within the 1st month/30 days of the Contract. SHW is playing with two(2) different 'start Dates'. One (1) Date puts me at under 30 days (No claims).One (1) Date puts me over 30 days (No full refund).Which one is it?

The customers refund check is currently being processed. As soon as its issued it will be mailed out to them.
The diagnosis received was information provided to us directly by the technician when they were at the home of the customer. The determination on the diagnosis is stands. This information was provided to us by them. Their claim has been denied. No additional funds due at this time.
We did speak with the customer and explain why the ac issue was not covered. The unit had an improper installation and these issues are not covered under the terms. Please see section 9.1.2 of the terms. This Agreement does not cover any systems or appliances that have had previous repair...
or that require repair as a result of improper installation, previous repair, damage caused by any construction activity, improper wiring, inadequate or lack of capacity, power failures, power surges, overloads, missing parts, failure to properly maintain, failure to properly clean, neglect, misuse, corrosion, rust, sediment and any modification to the system or appliance.
We will proceed with cancelling the customers contract per section 13.2 of the warranty. No additional funds due at this time.
Select Home Warrant has advised the customer that we do not cover replacement of wiring, which in this case it repair that is required.As per the technicians diagnostic, the outlet is bad and needs to be replaced as well as the wiring. We are aware of the repair entails, and have reviewed the matter and it is a non-covered issue
We have reached out to the customer for a few days with no response. The customer may call Mr [redacted] for help with this issue Mon-Fri 9-6.

Select Home Warranty has followed the Terms of Agreement in this matter in determining the value of the appliance.See Below:8. Select’s Option. Select shall have the sole and exclusive option to:(i) Select the Independent Service Technician to perform repair services;(ii) In the event a covered system or appliance is deemed irreparable or it is not cost effective to repair, Select may replace the system or appliance with a system or appliance of like capacity, the price of which shall not exceed the depreciated value of the system or appliance being replaced;(iii) In lieu of replacing a system or appliance that is deemed irreparable or it is not cost effective to repair, said determination being made by Select, Select may choose to pay a cash settlement for the irreparable component of the system or appliance. Select is not responsible for installation. The cash settlement shall be in an amount not to exceed the depreciated value of the component/appliance being replaced;(iv) Select the manufacturer, make and model of any replacement parts used in the repair of the defective system or appliance; and(v) Obtain a second opinion with regard to the cost of replacement without any additional cost to You. We apply the information the cusotmer provides along with the diagnosis to calculate the amount that will be offered.Select Home Warranty uses the current market value of any appliance or system and we also take in consideration the value of the repairs.
Select Home Warranty will contact the customer to resolve if we should still send the check or cancel the policy
Select Home Warranty did try to work with the customer, oncewe received the diagnostic for the A/C which stated that the compressor wasknocking and drawing excessive current, the unit needed to be replaced.In the Terms of Agreement that has been signed by thecustomer it states:9.1.2.
