Thank you for your responseAfter a lengthy process, Samsung has refunded the price of our washer as requested and originally agreed uponAlthough I am not at all happy with how it was handled, ultimately we got what we wanted and the case can be closed

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: When I spoke with representative at Samsung about my washer repair, she indicated to me that Samsung would not reimburse me for the day of work they caused me to miss, and that the only thing I could do was to take another day off to re-schedule the repair I then asked her about the Samsung Rebate Program, and the offer extended to customers if they chose to buy a different model washer from another manufacturer She claimed to know nothing about what I was speaking about, and told me that Samsung never offered such a rebate, and that the only offer was on the Samsung website I went out to the website, and sure enough, Samsung had recanted their original offer, and changed it to be only $if you buy a Samsung product If you do not buy s Samsung product, you get nothing I asked her if Samsung would honor their original rebate offer, and she said no, because no such offer ever existed I would like to enter into evidence the attached emailed document sent to me from Samsung during the period when I first submitted my claim It clearly shows that I would receive $$496, if I purchase another Samsung product, or $396, if I purchase a product from another manufacturer It is an illegal practice for Samsung to offer something, have customers go out and buy another product, and then turn around and say they never made such an offer This is totally illegal Samsung has altered their website so that none of the information in the attached document exists In fact, you cant even google the information anymore However, I am not the only individual who has received one of the emails, and who now was told by Samsung that they would not honor this offer I attach an email sent to me from a friend It clearly shows that same offer I was extended, and we live in two separate states[redacted] Regards, [redacted] ***

We appreciate your correspondence and allowing Samsung the opportunity to review your claim.We must advise the device has been tested and received an IP (Ingress Protection) rating of IP67, which means that it is protected against dust intrusion and capable of withstanding water immersion of between cm to one meter for minutesThe unit has also passed military specification (MIL-STA-810G) testing against a subset of specific environmental conditions, including temperature, dust and sand, shock/vibration, and low pressure/high altitude Please note, covers must be tightly closed to withstand these tests, however, it may not perform as shown in all extreme conditions.If liquid damage was found during evaluation this may indicate the phone was not properly sealed when in contact with liquid, or the liquid contact was too severe Unfortunately, any damage incurred through contact with water or other liquids can, and in most cases will, cause corrosion to the inner workings of the handset Even when some functionality is retained, it generally happens that the corrosion continues to spread, causing more damage over time.In these circumstances, due to Samsung's policy concerning repair, it is no longer feasible to attempt to repair the phone because the cost associated may in most cases cost more than the actual value of the unit; consequently, the phones received in this condition into our North Texas repair facilities are shipped back to the customer unrepaired Although, liquid damage is not covered under the Standard Limited Warranty, as a one-time courtesy we will authorize the free of charge repair of your product.If you would like to proceed with the repair please refer to Service Ticket # [redacted] and utilize the UPS E-label emailed to [redacted] Thank you
