We have received a bill from a debt collection agency for the amount of $ The debt is for our home security system service via ADT We called ADT to see what this was about, and they said our account had been cancelled by Defenders incthe contract retailer who installed our service We asked why our service had been cancelled and they said it was because the account was months past due We called Defenders incand they said that ADT had somehow made a mistake on our billing which led to not receiving a bill for months which led to our services being cancelled By having our services cancelled, we are in violation of the service contract which adds penalty fees and charges for the equipment installed in our house We told them that since it was ADT’s mistake we shouldn’t be penalized, and their response was that it had already gone to a collection agency so deal with them We called ADT again to see if they could try harder to help us out, but they said to try and
This is my second billing-related complaint about this company in the past six months In each case, the company made charges to my wife's or my credit card without authorization The previous case was resolved by settling the balance in the account and then proceeding with hard-copy paper billing
We recently moved to a new address and requested a continuation of ADT Security services, with Defenders as the subcontractor in our local area When I set up the new installation I was billed with my American Express card, at which time I asked that the monthly billing for the new account be handled by hard-copy, paper billing The representative agreed and said he would put a note to that effect in my account records

This company scams people in their advertisingI received a card in the mail offering a security system for $a month with sensors free and a $visa The technician came to the houseand looked around the houseI told him I received the card in the mail with the promotionHe was not interested
in itHe proceed to sell me a whole system that would be beyond what I wanted I explained what I wanted When he was done place the sensors he draws up the forms and tells me I only owe$I asked him about the $visa gift card and he said it was not on his form After he leaves I look at my credit card charges and notice there has been three different charges I was not aware from ADTI have now read different complaints that I am not the only person that they have scammed
I have tried to the best of my ability to pay an accountThis is for equipment only This company REFUSES to accept a certified check or a money order for the amount owed I have offered to pay the balance more than once and I am always refused unless I provide a bank account number or a credit card

I’ve had several phone calls with ADT and Home Defenders trying to resolve a charge on my accountAfter giving sufficient evidence that I do not owe this charge on my account I am harassed on a daily basis to pay the feeEvery thine the caller asks for money then continues to read the notes on my account showing that this issue is up for review in one of their departmentsThis has been going on for over two monthsI feel harassed and anxious that not only are they going to not handle this issue appropriately but just continue to harass me until they send my account off for collections

Originally I called ADT On Monday October 22nd At the time I could not afford the amount of money they were requesting in order to activate services On Wednesday October 24th an Adt representative called me back on my cell phone and asked why I did not activate services with them when I called in on MondayI explained to the agent that I could not afford the activation fee for camera security in my home

On 1/6/ADP installed an alarm system for my home They told me it was for a consult fee, but would get a visa first card if we signed up I gave them my credit card and signed with them to authorize the monthly charge of They over charged me the first month & said they would credit my account They charged me consult fee & charged me an additional for shipping & handling to have Visa card mailed to me I just received a bill for an additional for a "permit fee" that supposedly my town requires to install alarm It was unbeknown to me about this permit and hidden charges throughout this whole process I am in a year contract with them, and they keep charging all these "hidden fees"No one told us about the permit fees or additional here or there I called this company on 1/30/and she told me it is in the fine print & I will be delinquent if I do not pay this

Lets start off by stating the day of the install I was told that I didnt need to stay any longer as I had to go to work and that he would handle it and email me with anything I needed to knowhours later I get a copy in my email of a contract that I assume my uncle or cousin who had been doing construction on my house at the time signed for me( I never read or signed a thing ) Feel free to contact the installer who did the work or get a sworn affidavit from him as he is well aware I never signed a thing

Defender sent me a letter stating I owe for the last payment in which I did not let get drafted because the equipment was not working and we were going in circles with no resolutionI called the number stated on the letter to see if we could come to some kind of resolution since half the equipment was no longer in my house I spoke with one representative who stated she could not help me since the contract was bought out so she transferred me to someone in billing who became very rude and told me I needed to speak to someone in the collection departmentAt first she stated she was going to transfer me but then she talked to them and came back on the lone stating that they said they would not talk to me because there was no need and she was not going to transfer me but I could hang up and call back on my own I signed up at the end of April and she advised me my contract was sold 5/1/18?? How is that when they came out to my home twice in attempt to repair the poor connectionShe repeatedly tried to get off the phone with me stating there was nothing else she could help me with and I am not listening to her not so I need to just hang up, she could not transfer me to anyone else and she did not have a manger over herNow I am back and forth with them and ADT and I am not a happy customer now stuck in a year contractYou have been warned check Revdex.com and google reviews, I am not sure why they are still in business better yet ripping people off is their business
