I contacted Protect Your Home before Christmas to install an ADT security system in our homeWe postponed the installation until March 24, I paid around $and was told by advertisement and customer service that the agreement should cover everything that we needed - doors and windows, a monitoring system, remote controls, everything we neededThey were scheduled to come out on the 24th and we decided that we wanted to postpone or cancel the serviceThe technician showed upWhen I told him we wanted to not install the system, he argued that he needed to do it, that we had postponed beforeI said no, we don't want to install the system several timesHe called his manager, who came to the house and put high, high pressure on us to go ahead with the installationI told him no several times, maybe to times"Just cancel the service altogether"He continued to argue that he had the technician there and they needed to installHe promised us a free smoke alarm and $o

Previously a customer with ADT & Defender at our home in ORCalled up Defender a few weeks prior from moving from OR to AZ, and told them we would be moving June 19th and that we would like a tech to uninstall our equipmentAlso asked if transfer to another state would be easy and if contract would transfer over.and was told transfer is seamless and that new contract would not need to restartJune comes, no technician shows up, I call them up and they state that a tech never was actually scheduled to come outSo I end up needing to uninstall all of our equipment, pack it up and bring it with us to AZWe still get charged a "relocation charge." I'm not really sure of the justification behind this charge as I uninstalled all equipment and moved it from OR to AZWe arrive at our new home in AZ June 20, a tech comes out June and installs a combination of new equipment with some of our old equipmentHe has several pages of paperwork, my wife (*** ***) signs i

These people are impossible to deal withThey took $1,up front to do installation and months later still not activeThe biggest problem is that you can't get a hold of themCall their number and you actually get ADT; you can't call them directlyWhen you do manage to get someone from Defenders their notes seem to be missing or incomplete so they have no idea what is going onThey always make excuses as to why the system hasn't been installed and have never followed up on commitments
I would never use these people again

Defenders did an install of an ADT Security System in my home (on or about February 15, 2018) and damaged the drain pipe coming from my upstairs master bathroomI paid $to repair the damageDefenders refuses to pay for the damages they did to my homeThe basis of their refusal is that I did not get estimates before I repaired the damageThere is no law that states I need to get estimatesTheir refusal is obtuse and terrible customer service

On November 13th a technician from Protect your Home or Defender (apparently the same company) came to my house to install my security system, I wanted the regular landline system which would cost me $monthly so he checked my phone line and said it was fine to have the system installed but he offered me the wireless system for $monthly, I said no
He insisted and said if I only tried it for months he would upgrade the window/door sensors to the glass-brake detector and if I didn’t like the system I had months to call and they would downgrade my system to landline with no charges, so I accepted the offer
On February 11th I called to have the system downgraded and after near one hour on the phone being switched back and forth between Defender and ADT I was told by Defender that I only had one month after installation to change the system, I explained that was not what I was promised so they said they would investigate and someone would contact me later on the

I moved from one address to another and took the alarm system with meThe representative who came out to my new address left my home unarmedsensors missing on my windows and my master code not setAnd he also forged my signature on the contract that the work was completeNow home defenders is calling me to pay $for a job the representative didnt completeThey call me at 7pm, pm, pm ,and even pm at nightI dont appreciate the animosity that comes from the collectors trying to call meThey are harassing me while im at home for money yhey dont deserveYou employed someone who was willing to commit a crime by forging a signature on a binding contract

On Oct I had installed an ADT Pulse3A security systemOn Nov I executed the agreed upon 'Notice of Cancellation' (NOC) within the required three daysThe NOC was acknowledged on Nov by ***
In paragraph two of the NOC it states: “IF YOU CANCEL, ANY PROPERTY TRADED IN, ANY PAYMENTS MADE BY YOU UNDER THE AGREEMENT, AND ANY NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENT EXECUTED BY YOU WILL BE RETURNED WITH TEN (10) BUSINESS DAYS FOLLOWING RECEIPT BY THE SELLER OF YOUR CANCELLATION NOTICE, AND ANY SECURITY INTEREST ARISING OUT OF THE TRANSACTION WILL BE CANCELLED.”
DEFENDERS has violated the agreement and as of today, Nov 2018, Marcelene, stated that despite acknowledging the NOC on Nov that the ten (10) business days didn't start until Nov Further, she said that the contact with 'Ryan' on Nov was not confirmation
The NOC is quite clear on when the ten (10) business days beginOn Nov DEFENDERS representative, 'Ryan' acknowledged receipt of the

Called adt to have an alarm installed at my mother's house, the gentleman on the phone told me that you needed my name and the last digits of my social to create a mock account until the install date where they would switch the account over to my mother's nameThe install was done on the 7th of MarchWe were under the understanding that we had three business days to cancelThe install took place on a Wednesday and we call back Monday which would be business daysAt this point we were informed by Defender that they classify Saturday as a business day so we were not able to cancel the contractSo we firmly understood at this point that we could not cancel the contractThen I get a bill at my address in pinellas county from adtWhich is over hours awaySo I called Defender and told them they made a mistake by sending me the billAt this point I was informed by Defender that I could not take my name off of the contract because it had been business daysAnd I had signed th

Good day to you, On January 02, I called what I thought was ADT, but it was one of their Authorized Dealers for a quotation on a home alarm systemI informed the sales agent that I did not own the home and was just looking for an approximate price since I was calling other companiesShe told me that they normally come out and do an inspection and run credit to give the best priceI told her that it was not necessary since I had to wait to close on the house I did not want anyone coming out or my credit ran because I did not actually own a house yet and wanted to make sure all went well before I went any further
She collected information from me, potential address, phone, name etc and asked for the last four digits of my social I thought all this was just for her record keeping since I did not know they could even run credit with four digits
To my surprise I got an email fro my tracking system that my credit had been run by ADTI have called them many times so far an

Been trying to cancel the alarm service over a year now unsuccessfullyAlso I want the billing stopped and adjusted accordingly

they advertise as if they are adt with a monthly rate and items you get credit for, when they arrive they drill holes in your wall installing things and then discuss what they recommend I thought I had a new keypad and then they change the price up front and the monthly fee They went from $per month to $

I have been in communication with the ADT Customer Service for the last few days and they have only transferred me once to the " escalation department" which are the one who can resolve this issueI have been unable to reach out to the appropriate department in an attempt to resolve this issue again because Customer Service technician just informed me that I already spoke with themI requested to speak with them again and "Rosita" from Customer Services did not allow to transfer this phone call
I have been an ADT consumer since 2015, at the time I was living in Columbus, Ohio and wanted to have a secure system installed in my house after the birth of my daughter in April At that time, I knew I was only going to use the security system for years in Ohio because my husband's job was going to endI informed this to Jose ( ADT Spanish speaking agent by telephone, please see computer notes)He informed me that he will make a notation in my records that I will TRANSFER

After years of using Defenders/ADT to monitor my home, the equipment that I purchased and they installed quit working correctlyAfter several attempts to get this company to come out and repair or replace the equipment I cancelled servicesI wrote the request letter to the company as they requested me to do so for cancellation of services for a customer that was out of contractI had a technician over the phone tell me how to get the panel on the wall to quit beeping every minutes by pushing some buttons in a certain wayAfter this happened a few times I asked if they could come and remove the box as this was really a nuisance to me and my familyI was told that someone would come out and remove the box since I was not using it anywayNo one came, I should have known at the time of installation when the installer drilled a hole through my wall to the other side for a wire to go to the electrical plug, I was not going to be very happyAfter years of a non active account with

ADT gave me a free alarm system at This contractor came out and lied I didn’t even know they are not ADT and they initially wanted over They billed me for and rewrites the contact on their computer at a month They blanked that out on my copy They following day they billed me for dollars and the nonsense began They said, knowing they lied, they would reimburse me I am only dealing with ADT from here onThey have not reimbursed me! Check your complaint page, *** or *** and see that they lie and cheat everyone!

I HAVE RECENTLY INVESTED OVER $ON A SECURITY SYSTEM FROM ADTNOW ALMOST ONE MONTH AFTER MY CONTRACT AND COMMITMENT, MY SECURITY SYSTEM STILL IS NOT WORKING PROPERLYEVEN AFTER THREE TECHNICIANS HAVE BEEN TO MY HOMEI HAVE SPENT HOURS ON PHONE CALLS, I HAVE BEEN MISLED, DECEIVED, BEEN SPOKEN TO RUDELY,AND HAVE HAD UNAUTHORIZED USAGE OF MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATIONAND STILL DO NOT HAVE A FULLY OPERATIONAL SYSTEMALSO WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO DISCONTINUE MY SERVICE, I WAS TOLD THAT MY PAYMENTS WOULD BE FORFIETED AND ALSO 75% OF MY CONTRACT TERM WOULD BE CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARDTHIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE WITH ANY BUSINESSI FEEL THAT I HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO THE CLEANERSAND NOW THAT THEY HAVE MY MONEY AND HAVE ME BOUND BY CONTRACTS, THEY ARE NO LONGER CONCERNED WITH FULFILLING THEIR RESPONSIBILTYS AS STATED IN CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS

Below is our **tter to the business :
My first contact with Protect Your Home (PYH) started with a phone call and talked to a Michael *** He eventually convinced me to set up an appointment with your technician on 2/26/at 3pm, after his manager, Cory, promised a $equipment credit towards any additional equipment I decided to get during the appointment
Your technician, Mr Jae *** arrived at around 3:30pm, instal**d the equipment, offered me additional discount on the spot to entice me to install the smoke sensor (20% equipment discount and $discount for doing it on the same day.) He did his calculation of the additional equipment and the discount on a piece of paper But his calculation was wrong It was 7pm at that time and both of us are tired I did not check with a calculator After dinner on the same night, I noticed the error I cal**d PYH and talked to Pam at around 9pm who said will get back to me She never did I cal**d again on 2/29/and got a

I recently had an ADT security system installed and was victim of a advertising and was not given full disclosure on price and contract termsUpon receiving my first billing statement, I realized the price billed was double the price quotedWhen I called ADT I was referred to the third party who installed the system - DefenderIt was then that I was informed of the contract termsThe vendor asked for an electronic signature after installation however I was unable to view the complete contract terms including monthly fee and early termination feeWhen I attempted to cancel, I was informed that because the day cancellation period (which I was also not made aware of) had expired I would be charged $to cancel I have yet to receive a hard copy of the full contract
My complaint is based on not receiving complete and accurate information when the security system was installedThe technician verbally confirmed the monthly price of and purposefully did not allow

ADT Security requires that one of its technicians comes in and installs their systemThis comes at a large price depending on the package you select
I have paid them the money; I did not owed ADT any money But they still enforced you to pay the extra without explain the details
Today, they gave me two different invoices that I still owed them money and filed a collection and did the suspension and negative my credit reportingPeople paid what he got ,I want to pay what I have gotten itThey did not answer my questions about the two invoices and they did not explain to their customers; they just want you to pay what they enforced customers
I don't like to owe anyone money, but I pay what I got, it is true and reasonable

I called the next day after installation on 6/17/to have the contract canceledI am not happy with this system and want it removed from homeThey told me that I cannot cancel the contractThey did not leave me a copy of the contract, but I know the law on contracts and want to cancel it finally received a copy after requesting a copy several month's later

I cancelled my contract due to lack of professionalism from their sideFour times my alarm goes off, three of them I don't get the call and two of them the police didn't show up and the four timenot a single person showed upI called three times each time after the incident and I find they have a wrong number for me which I changeThe last time I have had it and when I cancelled their loyalty lady told me I don't owe them anythingi get a call three months ago from a lady named Amanda who is verrrrry rude from their collection department telling me I should pay so I asked to talk to a manager and she got vulgurCalled customer service and asked to speak to the loyality department and to my surprise they are claiming that nobody told me I am free from my contractI am not getting any service
