On March 3rd ADT was to install the pulse system in my home after the technician spent all day and didn't get the system installed he came back the next and did the same thing couldn't get it to workThe next available appointment was March 29th still didn't get it to workBefore leaving I told him I wasn't satisfied he told me to call the office which I did spoke with someone in Sales I was told they would send another technician out they did on April 12th when he arrived at my home we spend about an hour or more trying to get it to workI were then told my Internet service didn't support the system I would have to get BETTER INTERNET SERVICE and was told there were nothing else he could do and to call the home office and I did after he left and told them what he told meI was then connected to technical support and we're told the same thing I were then transferred to Sales and tried explaining to them what were going on and asked them to come pick up their equipment which were t
From start to finish, installation, technician and sales representative perfect Activation was not realized due unforeseen circumstancesADT should be very proud of Protect Your Home
This company is who I was directed to when calling ADTThe sales team lied to me over the phone which was recorded according to themI also wrote down "badge numbers." I was told yes I was getting home security for $per month and the sale's guys (of them) insisted they were giving me all this "free" stuff (swapping to the manager and I was told to act suprised by sales guy #1)
Tech guy came and installed and signed my name to the contractI called and complained about the forgery and the costs doubledI was given an apology and discounted $per month for the problem
Tech guy #came so I could sign the contract that I was supposed to have gotten with tech #It never was turned in (so I was told)
I got another email a week or so later with yet another contract for me to sign from tech #
I called and told they didn't have one signed on file so I needed to sign it
I was concerned because I did not trust tech #by now
Today I no longer had Pulse to check my
My home was broken into in OctoberI called, and ADT was able to come out the same day to install product and begin monitoring my homeGreat!
When I callled, the only phone number I gave was my cellI am not planning to keep a land lineADT took down the landline numberI have been trying for all these months to remove the landline number, and yet Defenders uses that number to callTheir number shows yo as "Buca Raton, FL" on my phone, there is a hesitation at the beginning, so I hung up on them for months before hearing someone speak and discovering that it was not a solicitation call
Apparently, when the billing changed from ADT to Defenders, they stopped automatically billing my credit cardThey called (the wrong number) for months, never leaving a message, to tell me I owed moneyIn May, they spoke to me, I caught up on the bill, and I was told that automatic billing would resumeIt didn'tOh! And they were not able to send an invoice to show that I actually owed over $170!
Just got off the phoneThey claim I owe months, can't send an invoice, and apologize for not setting up automatic billing If I was caught up last month, how can I owe months??? And if I want paper billing, it'll cost extra every month
Revdex.com, please remove the A+ ratingThey do not deserve this! They won't remove the wrong phone number, they won't send an invoice, they yell at me for not paying when it's their own fault for not charging my card, they refuse to send an invoice, and today, refused to allow me to speak to the supervisor***, really!
If I had it to do over again, even with the trauma of a break in and no sleep at all, I would have done a bit more research
Do not use this company!
If you are reading this and haven't signed a contract, then stop and don't get involve with this companyI won't repeat what many people have already written about deceiving practices, advertising, you will end up paying hundreds, if not thousands you didn't plan forAlso, make sure you understand, that to get the cheapest rate they require a true land line, which most people don't have anymore, because most companies have now only VOIPThey will never explain this to youI am now stuck in a three contract, paying double what they advertisedTheir CS is terrible, they will hang up on you just to avoid a sticky situationTheir sales practices border legalized robbery
I received a flyer advertising $27.99/month ADT security services This would cost $to install and would include Window/door sensors, a digital keypad, a pet-friendly motion detector, panic buttons for police, fire, and EMT, Interior Siren, Control Panel with Battery Back-up, wireless remotes, Yard Sign and Window Decals In addition, there would be $Visa gift card for signing up
The phone number to contact is 1-866-281- The website is securityalarmoffers.com/offer-0762-
When I called, I spoke to Noran He said that there were packages available:
$27.99/month if the technician installed the system using the internet modem This also includes year guarantee on all parts and labor
$36.99/month for a lifetime guarantee on parts and labor using the internet modem
$48.99/month for a lifetime guarantee on parts and labor using a cell phone service
Knowing that I have an internet modem that works, I accepted the install appointment for the $27.99/
Defenders is a company that's out to scam youI'm unhappy with your shady sales tacticsYour salesperson/technician, told me I had months of free trial and if I wanted to cancel I would get all my money back including installation with no strings attachedWhen it was time to sign papers I saw the "day cancellation" so I was reluctant to signHe assured me that was only one way to cancel to get my money back quicker, but I will still be able to get a full cancellation before monthsHe also told me to to do him a favor and wait weeks before I call to request any additional sensors for free, because that's what his other customers didWell we waited for weeks to call, and when we couldn't get more sensors for free we wanted to cancel and guess what, we can't cancel anymore and we're locked in to the yr contractShady business DEFENDERS d/b/a Protect Your Home, you should be ashamed of yourselfJust close down your business already
Plus the $VISA gift card process is badWe didn't know we had to send in an application within days of install and also there's a $S&H fee only accepted with cashier's check or money order
Your customer care email doesn't workIt sends back "This mail box is not in service" emailYour customer care phone number does nothing but forward me to ADTI want to talk to the scam artists that work at Defenders (Protect Your Home)
An unauthorized charge of 99.60, was placed on my credit cardAnd on my behave they have submitted a dispute to have my finances reimbursed The other services have turned out well, so for
Hi,
I was called on Wednesday from ADT rep asking I was still interested in getting an alarm systemI informed the lady that I already was set up to be installed with *** that Friday no thanksShe insisted and asked if I could at least see if they could save me some moneyI let her know sure lets seeI got on the phone with the sells rep and we were talking about the different stuff I was interested in getting basically comparable to ***The sales rep then informed me I could get everything I wanted with *** for free over 800-worth of equipmentI just need to pay the install fee which was bucks I said she lets get it doneI then began to ask more questions I told him since the deal was so good I may want to actual purchase additional items even another cameraHe then told me he would throw it in for free since I was very polite and he could get me more creditsAfter that he then got the manager on the phone because he wanted to see if there was anything else
I called in to ADT/Defenders on an advertised mailer The female sales rep went over offer and I asked her more than three times on what I had to do She said they take care of everything This included a $gift card, informing home insurance provider and form with the local fire/police I asked the installer when he was at home if what she reported to me was accurate-I had to do nothing if I went with service He said yes Everything good The $gift card requires the customer to send a $money order in envelope to cover their costs What??? So the BIG $gift card you are to receive from them for signing up is actually not that amount ( that BIG $was extra large caption on mailer ) They also do nothing with the insurance company nor the local authorities Outright lies Two weeks later I had not heard from them about the insurance and form with local fire/police and was told by the customer service department that this was not correct information They
I signed a contract with ADT/Defenders in July From July through December the service was offline about 80% of the time I had or techs come to my house to diagnose the problems and none of them were able to fix it My alarm would not connect to their system meaning that my home was not monitored It would also beep every seconds or so because it was not connected Their solution was to mute all the sounds (even the alarm if it was tripped) rather than fix the issue On December 5, I finally got a phone call from a supervisor from Defenders and after much back and forth they informed me that they canceled my contract My alarm immediately went completely disarmed from that point and I assumed it was a done deal
Fast forward to May and I am now receiving phone calls that I owe them for my contract I have repeatedly stated that I had my contract canceled and will not be paying for any charges The customer service reps can confirm that they did i
Shopping for competitive prices with security services only, this company checked my credit without my permission & sent a service person to my house unscheduled,I called back & I complained about what they did & asked that they pull the credit inquiry
They refused, they refunded the money on my credit card, it was to hold a offer of extra equipment if I choose in the future to go with ADT only!
This company scammed me and pretended to be ADT, then took money from me fraudulently, then billed me for $six months after I used them (which was only for two months since I was robbed twice and moved out of state after being traumatized.) This fake "ADT" scam company installed an extremely expensive and intricate alarm system in February in my Santa Monica apartment
In both February and March I made payments to this "certified defender representing ADT." In March I was robbed two timesAfter the first robbery occurred I immediately alerted "Defenders Inc." and they set up an appointment to install two cameras in my homeI lost many valuables including electronics valuing over $5,and "ADT Defenders" apologized profusely and even offered to give me a free camera, a second half off and a discounted monthly rate starting in AprilThe Santa Monica police kept saying over and over, "If only you had a security camera, we could help you find out who robbed your home." T
I recently had an ADT home security system installed in my new home in order to fulfill my obligation as I had not completed my previous contract with ADT when I sold my previous homeThe initial problem I noticed was the "manager" who was assisting in the installation installed approximately $in equipment I did not wantI called customer service to have this equipment removedHowever, days after installation my security system began to chirp with a "communication error" prompting another call to customer serviceThe tech did come the following Saturday (one week after the initial installation) and removed the unwanted equipmentWe then called customer service and spoke with a supervisor and the technician explained that an antenna was installed with the initial installation and the system would not communicate with ADTThe supervisor refused to acknowledge the technician and told the technician he would need to call his (the technician's) supervisor to fix the problemThe
I purchased a security system with Defenders for ADT in May of I was unaware that I was signing a two year contract, whether that was a lack of information given or I didn’t retain it, I don’t knowI tried to cancel in May of as I was moving, only to be told that I would not be able to cancel without paying the remainder of the contract, which would total some $1200+When I informed them that I would be unable to reset up a security system right away, as I was moving into dorms for the summer and I didn’t know where I would be placed for my program, they told me I would need to pay as though a residence was being monitored so that I would not be in breech of my contractI relented, moreso because they came off as threateningOver the summer, they did not in fact charge me, but when I told them of my new residence and we set up the appointment for install, they told me that by moving I was beginning a new contract and would be responsible for another two years of service
Protect your home advertised adv ertisement they will get your business and then change everything up once they get you as a customer on the recorded line they offer me one hundred dollar visa card, 6-window sensors, smoke de tector ,sensor, one indoor camera, and key pad only thing I received from protect your home was sensors, key pad, smoke detector and one hundred dollar visa pad protect your home nevered explained to me about a third-party which is Adt that will be taking over my contract I had no knowledge of that until I call protect your home regarding the stuff that was olded to me they even made contract I have been calling for years last a attempt was 6/7/ about 2:pm which I cancelled my services because I try to reach out to the head person that I could not reach which his name is chase the number he left for me to contact him was 317-715-reach out numerous times they are frauds
I signed a contact with ADT for service and paid near $200-$to start service After a month passed I never received a bill so I called ADT customer service line The ADT rep advised I in fact did not have an account with ADTI called my bank Chase and reported the start service fee as fraud and received a full refund I am now being told I owe near $for a company I never signed agreement with Defenders
Called ADT and attempted to set up security for my parents' home a year agoApparently, my account was set up by third-party Home DefendersI paid the install fee of $on 3/18/**They did NOT inform me they would do a hard pull on my credit.**
My parents insisted they didn't want security, so I held off signing the contract and initiating the installation processEventually, a year later, I gave up on themI called to get a refund on 2/13/They said they would refund meBy 3/2/17, I had yet to receive a refundI called back and was told my account had been refunded on 2/27/I told them there were no credits or pending credits on my account
The representative implied I was lyingHe told me to fax them my bank statements to prove I didn't receive a refund and gave me a fax numberI compliedAfterward, I called them back directly and waited almost an hour before someone answeredI told that representative that I had sent a fax and wanted to make sure it was
I called in response to a promotion going on they told me that absolutely I can get that alarm system for 19.99$ a month but they have to send the installer in for a qoute on the location The installer showed up on the scheduled date after a walk thru and a few attempts to sell me more stuff than I need we agreed on the equipment and I gave them permission to proceed with the installation after they assured me that 19.99$ is what I'm going to pay monthlyA few moments later job was done and it was time for documentation and that where I feel like I was tricked into a bad dealWhen I saw that monthly charge is 53$ I asked the technician why is that and I was explained that that's the regular rate but I'm going to get credit on the bills and after that my total monthly bill would
Which is a complete lie ! Since I don't have a landline they installed an upgraded system which is not eligible for that promo monthly rate and nobody bothered to explain this to me until yesterday w
I had an ADT security system installed in Missouri and when I moved I decided to transfer service to my new house in TexasI was surprised by how easy the transition wasI was able to bring by sensors with me and was given a few more to use in my new house because of the square footage increaseThe technician recommended I upgrade some of my sensors to glass sensors and I understood the need for themBoth technicians that were in my home were very respectful and I have been happy with my serviceI got confused by the first bill because I wasn't aware that it was prorated for the first two months but a minute phone call cleared that upI recommended the same system I got to my mom and she has been happy with everything as well
