To whom it may concern my name is *** *** and I am a customer of ADTI am writing this complaint due to their billing department with Defenders Inc.on November 1st my sevice was turned off and I did not understand why.I contacTed ADT and was told that they had outsourced their billing department to defenders Inc.when I contacted Defenders Inc was told that my bill was up to date so he pUT me on hold, aND came back on the line he informed me that my account was three months in arrearsThis is not possible since all my payments are automatically deducted from my checking accountThey said that my account was now In collectionsI asked how was this possible since I never received notification that they were not being paidThey said that they called me,but the number they had for me was not correctThey said they got this information from ADTThey are saying that I went from owing them $a month to $1,I asked them why I was not notified by email or letter and was
Technician did a great job at installing but Home Defenders took out of my account the amount of twice and weeks later and several phone conversations I still have not seen my money returned to meADT so far has been ok but this Defenders contracting company sucksfind some one else to install your services
I had an alarm installed on Dec 1, by an ADT Authorized Dealer, Protect Your HomeOn Dec 5, 2016, they deducted $114.72, which was supposed to be for prorated charges for the month of December and JanuaryOn Dec 29, 2016, they deducted $114.74, which caused my account to go into an overdraft statusI called them immediately and they acknowledged the error and agreed to refund my money immediatelyI asked them why was this money taken from my account and I was told that they didn't know if ADT was supposed to bill me or if Protect Your Home would handle the billingI informed them that this unauthorized deduction caused my account to be negative, which caused me to incur overdraft fees of $each, because another payment for my auto insurance also postedI was also assured that no further deductions would be taken from accountHad they not taken the $114.74, my insurance payment would have clearedI also contacted ADT directly and they informed me that they would bill
Without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with I would leave them with stars if possible They are frauds and phony's and above all else, liarsThis company has jerked me around for over months I originally received services on 9/1/ I asked the installer to install a certain way and he refused He tried to up-sell me telling me that certain services were free that weren't He told me I could change services over the phone when I actually needed a technician to come out and revamp the system 9/16/I had a technician come out to alter the system (2nd day I had to take off work) and the technician also refused to install the system the way I requested He promised me a 50% refund of funds that I was overcharged from the original technician He told me I was scheduled to receive a refund of over $ Satisfied with this response I waited for my refund I called the company back and told them The system is still not the way I would like it to be installed I still had not received my refund The manager I spoke with told me he was personally going to come out to my house and install the system the way I originally requested October 9th (3rd day I had to take off) the original technician who installed my system returns to my house to install the system the way I requested from him the first time So much for the manager "Personally coming out to correct the error himself" The technician was visibly angry and threw his equipment around, slammed his equipment on the floor in anger and frustration, because as he later told me he gets a crappy review when someone has to return to a house he has already gone to Maybe he should have installed the system the way I requested the first time and we would not have had this issue The technician then proceeds to drill unnecessary holes in my hard wood floor in what I can only assume is anger to get back at me for his crappy review This meeting took place on 10/9/ I reported the damage claim immediately, and checked on the status of my reimbursement On 11/17/(and a half months after incident), this company finally submitted a refund request to their finance department, which I was informed I would receive in 3-days days later, I was informed it would take up to days days later, I was informed it would take business days I still have not received this refund As far as the damage claim, they moved quicker, because it only took them 1/months to report this claim to their insurance company, but I still have not received this reimbursement The insurance company actually denied my claim, because their employee lied to them and said that they used previously drilled holes They are all liars and a miserable company to deal with How they maintain business is beyond me You have been warned, this company is the worst company I have ever dealt with Not to mention customer service talks down to you and acts as if you are the problem, when I've shelled out thousands of dollars they owe me

I recently moved and had my system relocatedI was not happy with the customer service at my old addressFor example, at the old address the system went off at least times while I was awayThey never called to tell me,the apt didAfter Defenders came out to fix the issue it kept going offThe customer service was not understanding and could not give me any reason for it going offThey were very rude and not helpfulBecause, of all the issues I had with them I did not want to get it reinstalled but if I did not I would have to pay the contract offSince transferring the system I have had the installation fee taken out earlier then quoted causing my checking account to go in the redI have had texts and phone call at least 4-times a day about a billing charge that I owed it was already paidBut the major issue is after the installed they again notified ,e 4-times a day about a back billWhen contacting Defenders I owed nothing because of the move dateBut again constan
They wont honor contract called several time to resolve issue, keep getting run around I would recommend you avoid them Will be seeking legal action against them Its gotten that bad
We had an ADT security system installed less than months ago and have had nothing but issuesFirst, one of the sensors stopped working on our kitchen window and the only reason I knew this was because we had the window open on a warm dayHowever, the control pad showed it to be closedAfter being on the phone with ADT (because defenders was not open) they had defenders call me to set up an appointment to come out and replace the sensorSecond, less than a week later I am woken up at 2am to a loud beeping coming from the control panelI called ADT again since defenders was not open again and they had me trying to troubleshoot the panel for over an hourThe issue was that there was no signal being received and ADT could not explain why (my house was not being protected.) I requested that Defenders come out on a Saturday for the next service call and was told they might not be able to do thatInstead they offered Friday, but I could not do that since I had already taken Monday
On the evening of Saturday, February 10th, 2018, we were verbally told by our sales representative, that we would be receiving outdoor security cameras in days, however, it was never written down in the ADT Order Summary form The people I talked to in Defenders Inc, to include the sales representative that was at our home that evening, would not put that part of the agreement into our Order Summary form Because of there refusal to do so, I had no choice but to cancel the contract
In short, we wasted hours of time with Defenders Inc If they are not going to deliver what they promise, then the company should not make promises that they cannot back up
My concerns now are some of the damage they have done to our original security equipment that they uninstalled None of this would have happened if I knew they would not put it in writing because I would have rejected Defenders Inc offer at the beginning of our business discussion
After being over charged on a service I was purchasing through them they said I would get a refund put back in my bank account and I have reached out to them several different times and was given different timeframes of when I will receive the fundsIt has gone from 7-days to 7-business days to 10-business days and now within daysThere policies seem to be whatever the person I talk to comes up with at that timeDo not understand how with all the technology how it would take a month for me to receive my refund back

I scheduled installation of an ADT alarm system on August 18thThe technician that was sent out was from Defenders, dba Protect Your HomeWhen I scheduled the service, I’d advised that I needed a *** enabled unit due to where my home is located geographically and spotty cell phone serviceThe technician that showed up did not have a *** unit so they had to reschedule for the following weekendThis technician advised that I had $of equipment to have installed as part of my purchaseHe advised me that he had ordered the equipment for his home online and recommended I do the same as Defenders marked their equipment up by $(the actual equipment cost for new non-refurb was $29.99)He couldn’t finish the install, but recommended I order online and said that they would install it when they came back outThe second technician that came out did so on August 25th and was able to get a signal with a non-*** unit, so went ahead and installed $of equipment from Defe

I started my service with ADT in and was told that I had one month to cancel services and not be charged any feesI called and canceled within the days and the customer service agent on the phone said that my service would be canceled and I would not be charged anymoreI ended up being charged $1,and is now affecting my credit scoreI keep getting phone calls saying that I owe money when I should not owe anything

We contracted with this ADT Authorized dealer They were supposed to install new equipment and activate the alarm and Fire Security System When we contacted the main ADT service provider they told us that the motion detectors and fire alarm was never activated They also told us that we HAD the best alarm system that money could buy but that the authorized dealer downgraded our equipment and then did not hook up the motion detectors because they were not compatible with the downgraded system that they installed When this company was contacted they denied that they had any liability as the service agreement was transferred to the main ADT center But this company never provided the services we bought from them and then they charged us for it This is Fraud
I filed a complaint against defenders months ago and was told that someone was going to pick up the equipment and they did I was also told I would be receiving my money back within days I have not and have left messages with no return calls from defenders I expect my refund back within a week of $ dealing with defenders has been an absolute nightmare from day one they are deceptive in their sales and lie to you on the phone nothing they have told me except for them picking up the equipment has taken place and after my conversation with them months ago adt has tried to bill me twice I cancelled my card so they couldn't I need a call monday or my attorney will be taking care of this and it will be more than $
Selected this company to install our ADT security system after relocating Cost was misrepresented and installer tried to hard sell many options The cost was still $500+ over the original estimate Installer stepped though drywall in attic, weeks later still no action taken Customer service is horrible!! I signed up for ADT services on 7/22/and told the salesperson upfront at my home we were moving so I thought maybe I would just wait until I moved!!! They made it very clear that it was NO issue what so ever! That I would contact him and he would come out, remove the system and install it in my new house I asked and spoke many times about the moving issues and the tech reassured me it was no big deal Fast forward to March they came and took out my security system and I kept it in storage until my new house was ready (we sold our house before our new house was ready) I kept paying the $monthly fee On July 7th when ADT came out to install my system they said I had to sign a whole new year contract and my previous house was null in void---excuse me!!! I told you up front we were moving!!! I would never have signed up for ADT knowing that I would enter into multiple contracts and be paying on contracts
