I spoke with ADT Defenders and explained to them due to financial changes I cannot afford the service My va check has been decreased and my wife check has been garnished for student loan We are trying to stay above water They said that they will not turn the service off, so therefore the bill will continue to go up Or I have to pay up front for them to stop service Is this right what they are trying to do And reviewing the contract my wife did not sign the contract The signature is not hers The spelling of her name is misspelled, and the signature is also misspelled Clearly she know the correct spelling of her name So her name was forged My wife name is *** *** I have the original contract to verify the signature
I called to get information about an ADT alarm They said that they would send out an installer to go over everything with me but my card would not be charged until I agreed to have the system installed They said that the installer would get the security number off the back of the card and then I would be charged I canceled the installation before they even came out and my card was still charged WITHOUT my authorization

This company is terrible to work withI was a customer of ADT for years and I cancelled my serviceI received a promotion in the mail which I thought was from ADT but it had a Protect Your Home logo alongside ADT's logoThey promised a rate of $a month for the first months but after their tech read the work order wrong and cut my old system out they said I had to go wirelessI declined and sent them packingThey came back to me with a solution to the problem and came back out and installed a hybrid system that used most all of my old equipmentAt this point I still thought I was dealing with ADTThe tech left and my first bill was $on ADT letterheadI called them and told them of the mistake and they said I would get a credit on my next bill and the mistake was taken care ofI received my next bill and I got charged the $rate again and this time I called in ADT said I needed to deal with DefenderAt this point the was the first time I found out that there was another company handling my accountDefender told me too bad that they couldn't help me and if I wanted to opt out of my contract that I would have to pay 75% of the total contractI pulled up my DocuSign documents and noticed that it showed $a month but in section they added that I would pay $for the first monthsDefender told me that too bad you will have to pay us the $I have now forwarded the signed documents to my personal attorney and we will see where this goesDon't use this company they are a classic bate and switch shady company

On 11/27/I started services with ADT and I payed for an upgraded systemThirty days later I decided that I wanted to down grade the system and I contacted
ADT and the had a service come out the first week of January and remove the upgraded system and replaced it with the basicsI was initially signed up on a promotion , which I was suppose to receive door sensors along with key controls and also a $system up grade because I was a returning customerThe upgraded equipment (1) wireless exterior siren$289; (2) Vanish contact $and (11) shock detectors $all were removed and replaced with the basic door sensorsThe first time I contacted them about my refund, I was told that all of the equipment wasn't returned and that is why I got a partial refund of $A technician came back out and verified that all of the equipment was returnedI contacted ADT and Defenders for the past months and they keep coming up with one excuse after another for not refunding

I called ADT about an alarm system that had been deactivated I was told this was ADT, but have discovered it is an authorized dealer Protect Your Home I was unable to schedule a time for them to come out but they debited my account for $and tried to force me to have a system installed when they came out They asked for a credit card but did not tell me they would debit it I learned from ADT that the existing system could be reconnected and all that they tried to sell me, and all of the perks and free services they offered, were unnecessary No one came out, yet they debited my account They claimed they needed to reserve the offer Now I am having difficulty getting my money returned I'm not sure that they are a legitimate business ADT told me they would not have debited my account, money is only required at installation

Deceptive come on for advertisement almost blew the deal,but the installer can't be blamed for that and I think we got the plan we wanted.The pulse app works as advertised,my wife and I believe it is a better way to go than the key fob.We are pleased with the system

Disappointing and frustrating experienceDefender is subcontractor of ADTThe promised job of replacing old ADT wall units and outdoor cameras at my homeThey told me they would be able to replace may outdoor cameras with new ones, after they did the basic installation without outdoor camera(they could have just said before install, we can't replace outdoor cameras!) The painful experience lasted for 3months, I waited several weeks, after a supervisor said the cameras are not here yet, they are ordered from our warehouse Two times a technician never showed up for an appointment letting my wait around from 11am - 3pmApparently was supposed to have the promised outdoor cameras, never called and never showed upThen they decided to tell me Outdoor cameras are unavailable in my areaThey came to take the equipment back, but did not replace the old alarm system units, which still worked, and notified me of anyone breeching the perimeterI know they are not responsible for replacing, but that is the least they could do for falsely leading me on and advertising they could replace my outdoor camerasMy monthly fees and installation fees should be in the process of refund(that I am very hesitant about, from this whole experience with them) Do your self a favor, get an inhome consultation, or be very detailed in exactly what you will be getting, is it plug in camera, how long does recordings last for, etcGet it in writing

On 9/a tech from Defenders ( authorized ADT dealer) installed a shock detector and our entry dial pad
He did not set the alarm to test mode when he hit my living room window from inside to show me how the alarm will sound
The police showed up minutes after he left
I reached out to ADT on 10/30/and was told by a supervisor Zak S*** that Defenders will take care of this bill
Defenders told me to email their Loyalty Department and a supervisor would get back to me in business days to resolve the issue

What a bait and switch I moved and got a flyer about $a month & no up-front charges outside of the installation (which is negated by a visa gift card) I made this order and confirmed that I did not have a landline and this would not be a problem Assuming we had a deal in place, they came out here and began installation They up-sold me to buying more equipment than I needed, no big deal but be prepared for that However, once he was about 80% through installation he informs me that since I did not have a landline I had to have the upgraded service which costs a month He is insistent that I can call and negotiate this OR that I can cancel within days and have no issues It's late on Saturday night and he mentions he is in a hurry numerous times I let him finish I call ADT corporate that Monday, they tell me that a third party service had this contract (Defenders) and they could not do anything about it, but I should have days to cancel I then call Defenders and they give me the run around placing me on hold Unfortunately I was traveling and did not call back for a few more days There's the biggest gotcha: Defenders only lets you cancel within days, and it's right there in the numerous paged contract that I didn't thoroughly study--DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THE INSTALLER TELLS YOU I am on the hook for months worth of payments at a rate of double what I was quoted I cannot believe companies like this exist in Stay away, stay far away I cannot wait for September
