Polaris Industries Inc Reviews (149)

Consumer has contacted Polaris regarding this issue and his third party denied him of this claim. Dealer filed a case over to Polaris and he is almost three years outside of the warranty period at this time. This is Polaris final stance and the decision will remain the same.

Polaris has spoken to consumer on Case# C-[redacted]. The consumer has been informed their case is in for engineering review which can take 8-12 weeks. Once a resolution has been made Polaris will reach out to the consumer. No other information provided at this time.

In reference to case #[redacted], The consumer has been informed that Polaris has been shipping parts since April 19th, 2016 and continues to ship. The best point of contact for the consumer is their dealership for timeline.

I am rejecting this response because:Glowing red pipe is not normal operation makes the machine hard to ride and it has melted my...

chaps on the right side it's a result of poor quality exhaust pipes as in 36 years of owning motorcycles I have not had this happen before. I think the Revdex.com for looking into this

Polaris has spoken to this consumer on case C-[redacted] and has advised his technical case is denied due to ingestion which is a non-warrantable failure. No further action or review will be taken as the consumer has advised he has obtained legal council. Polaris will not be reviewing the case any...

further and the case will remain denied.

We have reached out again on this concern and we believe that the issue has been resolved to your satisfaction. If that is the case, please let Polaris know or we can contact you again.

Polaris has spoken with consumer on Case # C-[redacted]. Consumers warranty case was reviewed and decision was made accordingly. Consumer serviced offered Consumer $200 to assist and this offer is final and all that will be made.

Created case for [redacted] (C-[redacted])- Spoke to [redacted] today and gave all information on parts shipping since April 19 and are continuing to ship to dealers to complete this bulletin. [redacted] has his case number and number to call back but gave [redacted] all information available at this time.

Polaris has spoken to consumer on Case # [redacted] and advised that accessories have a 1 year warranty on them and if consumer meets this requirement to speak with his authorized dealership to submit a claim. No further consideration will be made.

I am rejecting this response...

because: HI can you please give me a few more days to respond to this please. I literally don't have time at moment. My son passed away December 30th he was 22 years old and there are more questions than answer's surrounding his death. Please understand thank you [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:  This did not even fix the problem.  They made me pay 400.00 for a belt labor and an oil change.  There is nothing wrong with the belt they took off. $18000.00 for a vehicle and it does not even last 25 days. RIP OFF there is no reason I should have to pay that amount.

As previously stated all recalls must be performed by an authorized Polaris dealership. There will be no reimbursement.

I am rejecting this response because:It is now 5/12/16 and NONE of the Polaris Dealers in Oregon have the parts to fix my machine. I can't take my camping trip on Memorial day because of this set back. I want compensatefor for this horrible experience or a machine I ride for my huge camping trip. I am lost for words on how they can just say they are on their way since April 19th, yet no Polaris dealers in the State of Oregon have any parts yet for weeks now. I do shipping everyday and I know even snail mail or freight is faster than that. I want compensated with something I can ride for my trip and enjoy my polaris vehicle. A satisfied customer tells a 1000 people about their experience but a dissatisfied customer tells 10,000 about that one bad experience. This is unacceptable.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/11/04) */
Polaris has informed Mr [redacted] III numerous times that no warranty coverage will be offered on this case. Polaris technicians diagnosed and determined that signs of ingestion were seen in the intake ducting which is located where the air filter...

attaches to the air box. This is important in this case as the air box is prior to the intake boot that was warped. It should also be noted that if the intake boot was warped from the factory the dealership would have discovered that during the pre-delivery inspection and/or upon first tear down of the machine in 2014. The unit was also 22 months out of factory warranty at the time of the second repair. Dirt ingestion is not a warrantable defect and no coverage will be provided. No further contact will be made with the customer in regards to this case.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/11/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The mechanics at the dealership say there was a factory defect. This defect has caused the same problem twice! For Polaris to own up to the problem and make it right would cost them a minuscule amount of money compared to what they just spent in Glamis, CA at their Camp Razor. My machine has been properly maintained and lightly driven therefore nothing I have done caused the problem. It is obviously a factory defect that caused two identical problems. For Polaris to show such callousness to a customer who has already spent thousands on the purchase, maintenance, upgrade, and repair of their product is very disheartening and offensive. I expected much from the Polaris product I purchased and was greatly let down. Expecting anything different from Polaris regarding this situation seems to have been foolish of me. I've run out of words attempting to get this situation remedied, there is nothing else to say and unfortunately to expect.

Polaris has informed and spoke with Mr [redacted] numerous times that no warranty coverage will be offered on this case as no manufacture defect if present. Polaris provided warranty coverage for the repairs of a axel, radiator and fan on October...

27, 2015. Polaris provided additional warranty coverage for a second axel on November 4, 2015. Polaris has declined the client most recent warranty request as no defect was found in the cooling fan. The failure Mr [redacted]s machine displays are consistent with a foreign object impacting the fan blade when the cooling fan was on. This foreign object hitting the fan can cause the blade to break. No further contact will be made with the customer in regards to this case.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2015/12/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Nothing hit the fan, it would almost be impossible for something to hit the fan. I have not received a 2nd axle for the right side, if the service dept, team Carolina has it, it has not been provided, they said all was rejected. Now, again, 1 week later the pinion case has broken and destroyed the front differential and prop shaft, as I read reviews and spoke to team Caroline's repair person, Thad, inform me that this is a big problem that's should be recalled, along with the fan and axle problems, again, this is junk. Going to cost me $175 for a reinforced aftermarket pinion cover so this doesn't happen again. Polaris should refund my purchase price and take this piece of junk back!!!!!

Polaris created a case with consumer today and spoke with consumer and the dealership today. This concerned was resolved on 5/4/2016 consumer picked up Engine block from dealership.

Polaris has spoken to this consumer in Case # C-[redacted]. The consumer rep handling this case verified with our legal department this machine does not qualify for the lemon law. Polaris also offered assistance  to work with the consumer and find another dealer to assist. Consumer refused to...

travel outside a 25 mile radius and therefore refused assistance. The customer has electively stopped us of this slingshot during the recall and this recall is not a stop ride. No further consideration will be made as consumer has refused assistance from Polaris.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/10/01) */
Polaris will not be able to assist with the repair costs for customer's unit. We have offered a goodwill $500.00 towards teardown of engine to diagnose the failure, and customer has declined our offer. Customer's unit has ingested dirt and as...

stated in the owner's manual, ingestion of dirt inside the engine is not warrantable.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/10/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They have not abided by their contract to warranty the "Air box" and I still have a $5700+ debt due to the motor replacement. They are not standing by their product and they are not offering me any reasonable assistance. $500 is an insult.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/10/14) */
Polaris will not be able to provide assistance with service repairs for customer's unit. As stated on page 125 in the Owner's Manaul, under the Limitations of Warranty and Remedies; this warranty excludes failures due to snow, water, dirt, or other foreign susbstance/contamination.
Customer has purchased extended warranty through Assurant, a third party warranty company not owned by Polaris. The resolution for the customer will stand and Polaris will not be able to fulfil the request for covering service cost on customer's unit. Any further contact is welcomed by Polaris, however the decision on this case is final.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/10) */
We are currently working with the consumer to agree upon a resolution.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/06/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We have not came to a resolution. I...

just finally got a call from polaris yesterday. First time in almost a month. They said they would look into the case and try to come to a resolution. Until then, I have nothing to accept. .

Polaris has spoke to consumer on Case # C-[redacted]. Consumer has been advised tire part number 5415464 was in stock and on order from the dealership.
