Review: I recently had a Paypal Inc.transaction that over drew my bank account. I was surprised it went as a direct withdraw rather then an Echeck but PNC allowed the immediate transfer which left my account $330+ over drawn. I went to get gas the other day and my checking account had $0, so I contacted PNC to find out why the money that was in a separate account was transferred with out my knowledge leaving me stranded 2 hrs away at a gas station. The rep stated it is in their terms and conditions that they can do transfers with out informing the consumer. I asked the rep to please direct me to the area of their website where it was stated and she said it wasn't on the website and they could mail me a copy. I googled it and found their policies and can not locate where it states they will move money at will on a consumers account.Desired Settlement: I am appalled with all the recent issues I have had with PNC, and their inability to provide reasonable services to me as a consumer. In the past my mortgage company told me I bounced a check, I contacted PNC and they had nothing on file but couldn't provide any documentation either way.

Review: I got a PNC auto loan by the dealership in which I bought my vehicle and was told that if I sign up for auto payment when I received my payment documents, that I would received an additional .25% off my interest rate of the loan. Once I received that documents in the mail I called the 888 number on 6/26/2014 at 8:29pm to verify that the information was correct and that I would received an additional .25% off my interest rate and the representative told me that the information was correct and I would received and additional .25% off my interest rate once I set up the auto payment. I was told to either fill out the form and mail it in or the quickest way would be to go into my local branch and set it up there. So I went into the branch on 7/2/2014 in Romeoville, IL and spoke with the branch manager and he also confirmed that I would be receiving an additional .25% off the interest rate once I set up the Auto Payment. I set it up and was told by the branch manager to give him a call in a about 4-5 business days to see what my new payment would be. Now I am being told that I will not be receiving the .25% off my interest rate because I signed a contract. I had the contract signed the entire time I was talking to everyone at PNC that informed me that it would go down. I spoke with [redacted], escalation manager, on 7/23/2014. I told him that I feel like I was told all this information just so PNC could get my money (when I already had financing lined up with another bank)and he told me that is the information being relayed to me. I have had other contracts with companies that lowered the interest rate on a loan by setting up the auto pay. I have been completely lied to by PNC Bank and cannot believe they do business like this. All my phone conversations with PNC were on recorded lines (at least thats what they told me) so all this information can be verified.Desired Settlement: I just want my interest rate to go down the .25% as I was told it was going to by PNC

Review: I just came back from a oversea trip and I receive a letter from PNC Bank saying that I own 4900$ from a transaction that I did file a dispute 3 months ago.Let me explain: on April/2013, I sign a contract with a company in Florida to change the windows from my house. I did pay them 50% upfront and the left balance was suppose to be paid at the end with the city final inspection. They install the windows by the end of sep/2013 and promess to call the city to final inspection within 1 week. After 2 months, sending emails to them and receiving no answers, I send them a final email a due date. They didn't answer my email, so I file a complain in Revdex.com and also file a dispute transaction in PNC bank. So, after that, the bank credit my account the amount of 4900$ for this transaction and send me a letter asking to fill up one form and send documentation for investigation.1 week after the complain, the company contact me and send somebody here in my house to try to finish the job and promess again the final inspection by the city.By the end of december, I realize the PNC Bank will start charging monthly fee, and I decide to move another bank. I open a new account in [redacted] and move to there and close my PNC account.I am still waiting for the company finish the job and call the city for the inspection. The job is not done yet.In this afternoon I went to [redacted], and they told me my account is frozen and will be close. From the information in [redacted], the PNC put in the system that I did "Check Fraud". Why this is a check fraud ? Do I have to pay for something that I didn't receive ?My account number with [redacted]Desired Settlement: I need a letter from the PNC bank saying I did "check Fraud" like the [redacted] is saying.I have all documents here to prove this is wrong. It's no fair frozen my account because of this.I have no problem to pay the amount, since the job is done and approved by the city.

Review: Complying with PNC Bank standards I often have checks and wires deposited into my Checking Account. However, they always without my knowledge withhold $15.00 as a 'Wire Transfer Fee'I began to receive check deposits insteadyet the funds are never available on a consistent basis, only on there convenience. After contacting Customer Service I was met with rude, crass, and angry behavior and a too defensive approach to their policies. When probing for justification I was met with higher hostility and began to question their Service.I was happy so far with this bank but I cannot have my money be with-held without any reason and then when promised the funds would be available see that they aren't.My account is past 30 days and should not meet any resistance to simple check deposits, I'm talking $100 to $150 nothing extravagant. Why they take 3-5 days to process this is beyond me and really a hindrance to my living as I was promised the funds would be available earlier than they are. When visiting the teller they refuse to cash any checks and force me to deposit them resulting in more funds dis-ability. I do not understand their policies, and their adherence to a Un-American banking system. When negotiating wire transfers I am always hit with a fee and never told which is why I have to resort to check deposits, however the funds are never available when PNC Bank associates say they will be and I am instead met with extreme agitation and snobby attitudes. Why does it take so long to process $100? They even promise same-day funds availability. Please resolve this issue for my behalf.Desired Settlement: I would like my funds available immediately as long as it is underneath a $199 amount,

Review: My husband and I received an overdraft fee in October for a 9.00 check. I was under the impression that anything under 10.00 was "excused". Later, we were informed that it is 5 not 10. Nonetheless, I do not have access to online banking with this account, due to this account connecting to my husbands other's. With that being said, I was unable and unaware of any overdraft on the account. That is, until I started receiving multiple letters addressed to my attention only. One letter stating confirmation of your PNC Coverage setting. 1. neither my husband nor I changed any setting for this account, ever. 2. Had they sent a notice to MY attention regarding the 9.00 overdraft, I would have been made aware of the negative balance prior to this. The next letter received was from [redacted] in the consumer loan center, stating I owe a balance of 89.85. [redacted], has a lot to be desired in the customer service area. As long as she is receiving calls and speaking with customers, or previous customers, I can assure PNCs "customer service" will be absent. All my purpose for the call was to inquire on how 9.00 became 89.95 and to my surprise, all I could hear was her yawning with loud breaths of attitude at any question I had. Then proceeded to tell me after I asked to speak with her supervisor that no one is going to waive any of my fees, her supervisor will tell me to call the branch and the branch will just refer me back to her. My husband also made a deposit of 10.00 to cover the check, however, due to the account being closed so quickly, I assume it was applied to the negative balance and disregarded as any attempt to repay the negative balance. I am more than willing to pay the balance of what is really owed (9 plus the 36 fee) but I refuse to pay 90.00 for an account with a pretty good and steady history resulting over a 9 mistake.Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay the 36.00 overdraft fee as well as the 9.00 that made it negative.

Review: Received Notification my account had overdrawn on 10/15/2015. I went to a PNC BANK ATM Machine and deposited enough cash funds to bring me into a positive balance. (and have receipt showing available funds)As of 10/16/15 I have three $36.00 overdraft fees assessed. I have tried to call and request that those funds be refunded to me in error, only to find out about a 10:00PM cut off of deposits? However, Cash Deposits are always available and applied to the account!! I'm reporting this business to unfair and fraudulent practices. I have my receipt showing funds were credited immediately showing me my account was in good standing and working order. IF needed I can scan or email my valid receipt showing my account was in good standing when they decided to charge me overdrafts.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund
I'm requesting my $108.00 that was taken out of my account to be re-deposited due to miss-applied charges.

Review: Dear Sir or Madam, I am requesting your assistance. I was MISTAKINLY charged a $36.00 overdraft fee from the PNC Bank. I made a CASH deposit on November 26, 2013 at approximately 10:00 p.m. at a PNC Branch ATM location. The PNC policy clearly states the following: "Funds from the following deposits are available on the same business day as the day of their deposit (specifically it says, "All cash deposits made to a PNC bank teller and PNC ATM locations equipped with currency validation technology are availiable on the SAME business day". No where on the PNC website does it tell the consumer when the "End of Business Day" is. I do not accept their decision and demand my refund of $36.00 Seriously, this is the elctronic age, and CASH is CASH and when you're account is in the possitive PNC should NOT give you a $36.00 overdraft fee. Not a good way to do business.

Please allow me to respond to your complaint filed on December 11, 2013 with the Revdex.com of Western Pennsylvania (“Revdex.com”) regarding a cash deposit and an Overdraft Item Fee assessed to your PNC Bank, National Association (“PNC”) Virtual Wallet with Performance Spend Account ending in [redacted] (“Account”). I appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns and follow up from our conversation on December 11, 2013.
PNC Bank’s Consumer Funds Availability Policy is designed to comply with all of the requirements of Regulation CC. Regulation CC requires depository institutions to make funds deposited into accounts available within specific time schedules.
Pursuant to PNC Bank’s Consumer Funds Availability Policy, under the section titled Determining Availability of a Deposit, “If you make a deposit through one of our branch tellers, ATM, mobile device, remote deposit scanner or by mail before our cut-off time, we will consider that day to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit after our cut-off time or on a day that is not a business day, we will consider the deposit as being made on the next business day that we are open.” For your records, a copy of PNC’s Virtual Wallet Fineprint (“Account Agreement”) which includes our Consumer Funds Availability Policy has been sent to you under separate cover.
According to our records, on November 26, 2013, cash in the amount of $100.00 was deposited at our PNC ATM located at the [redacted] branch at 10:07pm, which was after the cut-off time at that ATM. The cut-off time for the ATM at that location is 9:00pm. Therefore, funds from this deposit were considered being made on the next business day, which was November 27, 2013. The ATM deposit in question was made at a PNC ATM equipped with PNC DepositEasy currency validation technology. Per the signage located on the PNC DepositEasy ATM, cash deposits made on a business day prior to the cut-off time of 9:00 p.m. ET will be available immediately. In this case, funds from this deposit were considered being made on the next business day, which was November 27, 2013.
My review of your account history indicates the fee was assessed appropriately on November 27, 2013 as disclosed in the notice sent to you on the date the fee was assessed (enclosed). It is PNC’s practice to refund any fee assessed as the result of a bank error. While we appreciate the concern expressed in your complaint, we respectfully decline your request for reimbursement of the $36.00 Overdraft Item Fee.
On behalf of PNC, I apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Should you have additional questions or concerns, please contact me at your earliest convenience. I may be reached at ###-###-####, extension ###-###-####, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (ET).

Response:
I really feel that there should be a sign up at the Branch ATM, inticating when the cut off time is. I also feel the time should be in Print on the PNC website and this information should be stipulated when you open the account. This "cut off time" should just not be magically created to enhance PNC's financial gain. I think this bank is fradulent is charging people overdraft fees when "Cash is Cash" and this is an electronic age. PNC, you can do better than this, but the question is, do you want to? Or do you want to keep taking people's hard working money in an age of economice hardship? Please respond back. This response is NOT adequate. You owe your customers complete disclosure when they open an account.
Review: My understanding was that I would receive a promotional credit via an offer I received from PNC through unsolicited email. Upon opening the account, the representative did not adequately explain the promotion, and we ended up not getting the credit promised. PNCs online Customer Service referred me to the branch, who told me we would not get the credit. Then the branch referred me to Retail Customer Service, who told me we would not get the credit. The Representative should have been more thorough failure to do resulted in us not getting the credit & PNC Customer Service does not care.

This Bank continues to call the client when the car loan payments have been made. The website always down on the online payments and they do not give you confirmation number or receipt of payment. Then they have some big call center call you at work or home everyday until the data catches up with the call center which takes sometimes two weeks. Do not use this Bank. I am also curious why PNC is not accredited with Revdex.com. I suspect they are afraid of the rating they would receive based upon the amount of complaints filed over the last 3 years. Do not use PNC or any affilate. Do your homework. Trust me.
Review: Earlier this week I wanted a dispute resolved that involved claim that I had made months ago. I tried to resolve this through the conventional means however When I tried to resolve the issue I was disconnected twice. PNC bank took $70.00 out of my account which overdrew the account and then proceeded to charge me for the overdraw. I had spoken to someone Monday and thought the matter was resolved, apparently I was wrong.Desired Settlement: I would like the overdraft fee removed from my account.

Review: I am in need of your help. I have had a mortgage as well as equity line of credit with PNC for 10 yrs. During that time I have been ill on a few occaisions, and have requested Hardship modification which has been denied 5 times. I have tried to sell the home but was unable to cover the remaining balance.
I just got out of the hospital, and am not able to make my payment this month (am self employed), and likely for the next 2 or 3. I have been Completely unable to get PNC to help with this. I plan to restart payments ASAP once my income has restarted. When I am well enough I will try to repair the home in preparation tosell.
I am asking for help to work with PNC to allow for 3 months of amnesty(and credit score stability), and return to regular payments once I can get back to work full time. I have been totally unable to do this directly with them.Desired Settlement: To have PNC give me 3 months payment amnestity on my mortgage/home equity payments, hopefully without affecting my credit score so I can get back on my feet, repair the home and sell it to avoid forclosure

Review: I drove up to the ATM on Saturday 04/09/2016 and attempted to deposit $1700.00 into the ATM Machine. As it started to accept the money and began processing, something went wrong. I received a receipt that stated "SEQ:0343 INCOMPLETE TRANSACTION, B1" and did not return my money. I attempted to insert my card again to see if it would return my money and it gave me another error message, "CASH RETURN FAILURE. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTION, B4".
I spoke with the financial representatives and they checked to see if the money was stuck and it was. They retrieved $1200 and mentioned the rest of the money must have fell into the "bin". They said they would submit a type of claim and I would most likely have it resolved in 10 business days because the bank would have to audit the machine.
I do not have 10 business days since I don't have money in my account which I survive off of. The bank does not have the right to keep my money this long and not give me some sort of credit to live off of. I have checks that PNC has sent out and I will incur insufficient fund fee's that I also cannot afford since this is not my fault but the ATM machine.Desired Settlement: I need the machine to be audited and the money deposited into my account OR a credit of 1700 until PNC resolves. Any fee's associated to PNC not handling in a timely manner should be covered by PNC whether from the bank or from companies that have I have auto pay set up.

Review: We got a free checking account started to sign up for an Open Line of Credit so we can take advantage of a lower interest rate with Auto-withdrawal. We were given notification by PNC bank in late May that we will start being charged for this checking account, which would defeat the idea of a lower interest rate. So we cancelled that account and opted to make payments direct, sacrificing a couple tenths of a point of interest. PNC [redacted] told me that the Auto-withdrawal will be discontinued upon closing of account. It WASNT. A $30.00 fee for non-sufficient funds was added to our Open line of credit balance because they did NOT cancel the auto-withdrawal. We paid for that month 4 days prior to payment due date, we have receipt. We refinanced through a different credit union to pay off our open line, which PNC received on June 30th. The paperwork we sent with our new credit union says "Close account upon payment." PNC failed again. I followed up with them asking for the over-payment back and they haven't even closed the account yet, they needed something in writing now. I gave them written instructions on July 2nd. Apparently now they say that it will take 10 business days to close. July 17th has now past and I received nothing. I called just today and they said that once the account is closed, it will take 10 business days to even MAIL the check. This is RIDICULOUS!!!! As a result of the insufficient funds, they gave me harassing phone calls to my cell and my work! AND MY HUSBAND! But they can take their sweet time getting our $ back?Desired Settlement: 1) Give me a refund for the full over payment2) A copy of my credit report to confirm the insufficient funds has not been reported! If it has, I want it off immediately because this was a result of PNC's inability to Cancel the auto-withdrawal as they were instructed and close the account upon receipt of payment, as they were instructed.

They said ok, and canceled my debit card and started their investigation. They said they would send me out a new debt card. Here is my issue. All the charges that were used on my card, were first reimbursed to myself. Than out of nowhere they took the money back, and I still got charged for all the charges on my account. On top of that, I waited 3 weeks for my new debt card to arrive in the mail. It never came. I had a branch employee in my lumberton store tell me in person that PNC is mailing one out to me. Well when I called PNC head quarters, they said that no card was on its way to me. No after waiting 3 weeks for something that isnt coming, I was mad. Review: PNC charged three overdraft charges Feb 23rd, 2016. One of the charges, however, were covered by my funds. The other two were covered by PNC and were automatic payment drafts. Before the overdrafts occurred, the balance was at $29 cleared. PNC is telling me they covered the last charge, from [redacted] Wireless, of $144 - but their banking website says otherwise. I tried talking to someone in person, web chat, and via their contact form. They are insisting that the $144 charge was covered by them, and I did not have $29 available and that the 3rd charge is legitimate. The customer service received has been beyond disappointing, and the person I spoke to at the branch was threatening more fees. My financial situation right now is not good, $108 in fees right now is not the ideal situation for me right now. I was also told that I should of deposited a check before 10PM the previous day, preventing this entire situation. Sadly, the ER medical staff would of advised against this.Desired Settlement: I would like an explanation of the charge that covered [redacted] and how I was charged $36 when I clearly had $29 left over AFTER [redacted] cleared. If it is determined that the one charge is not correct, I would like a refund for all three overdraft fees. I am requesting this because the time, hassle, and stress this has caused me.

Review: I feel that PNC bank stole 36$ from me via overdraft charge, and I want it back. I had more than enough in my accounts to pay whatever overdraft they charged me for. I asked them why the purchase was approved if I didnt have the money in my account. They said I "opted in" for something that would allow them to do that. I never knowingly did any such thing. If I did, then they misrepresented what "overdraft coverage" is, because nobody in their right mind would allow it. PNC bank took 36$ that they did not earn, they misrepresented "overdraft coverage," and if I dont get my 36$ back, Im not stopping with the Revdex.com. I'm going to file a complaint with the banking commission, the FTC, and anybody else I can think of. If PNC bank cares anything at all about public relations, they will promptly return my $36.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund Just give me back my 36$. I earned it. You didn't.
