Review: I have records showing my account never went negative until PNC charged me an overdraft fee of $36.00. In total PNC charged me five overdraft fees of $36 each. I called PNC several times and visited my local PNC twice. No one could explain the charges to me. Every time I called I sat on hold for at least 40 minutes and when I visited my local PNC the customer service rep was very rude. After begging several employees to help and explain the fees to me and explaining that I wanted to stay a customer at PNC no one could help me. The last phone call I made to PNC I was told a manager would get back to me and I never heard anything. I finally decided that PNC did not want my business and closed my account. The lady quickly closed my account and explained nothing to me. I assumed I was able to go back on the website and stop my automatic payments or they would stop them since the account was closing. I then received an email from PNC stating they mailed a check for an automatic payment I had set up prior to closing my account. I called PNC yet again to get this figured out and the lady was very nasty. She put a gentleman on the phone who stated that none of my prearranged electronic payments would be submitted and assured me I had nothing to worry about because the account was closed. Today I receive a notification that I owe 25 dollars for a returned check from [redacted] I again called PNC and the lady at my local branch was very nasty. I should not be responsible for the 25 dollar fee from [redacted] when PNC assured me my account was closed and my electronic payments would not be processed. I have names and dates of all the PNC employees I spoke with. I tried several times to resolve this issue but PNC is not willing to cooperate and left me know choice but to contact Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: To be reimbursed for at least half my overdraft fees since no one at PNC can explain to me why I received them and I have a print out showing my account was positive when the fees were assessed. To be reimbursed for the 25 dollars I had to pay [redacted] for a returned check in which PNC told me they would not send. To be assured that I will not be charged in further fees and my account with PNC is closed.

Every time I inquire about im being told different reasons as to why it has not been deposited. I literally have done everything they said to do. I would not have opened the account if I had know it was not real.Desired Settlement: The credit promised asap

Review: On October 8 I put 200.00 dollars in cash into the ATM to load my card. It took my cash.It gave me a receipt that said "cash verify failure". I went to the employee on duty and told him what happened. He told me he "didn't know what to do"-and that he would "call someone".He called "disputes".He spoke to someone there after being kept on hold for 15 minutes. He put me on with this"customer service representative".This representative told me he couldn't do anything about it but would "elevate this to disputes". I informed him I thought I WAS speaking to someone in disputes.I was then transferred to at least 4 other representatives all identifying themselves as from "disputes". I was told 4 different things.I was told it would take 3 days to resolve by one.I was told it would take 5 days by another.I was told 7 days by the third and finally 10 days by the forth.I told them I wanted immediate resolution as I had no receipt.I was told this could not be done.I told the "customer service representative"that I would be calling the Police Department. He told me "if thats what you want to do-go ahead".I did call the [redacted] Plains Police Department.I filed a full report. With the officer in attendance-the branch employee called yet another "disputes" person. I told them I had notified the police.I was then immediately put on with a supervisor that specifically told me-in the presence of the Officer-as well as the bank employee- to "come in tomorrow morning and the branch manager will give you your money.again -all of this is in the police report-as well as the paper saying "cash verify failure".On the morning of October 9 I went to the branch as instructed. I was told by the employee on duty that this could not happen! The employee that was there the previous evening was there. I asked him to relate the details as described. He did. The employee then made 4 more calls to place this in "dispute". This totals 14 phone calls.Today at 5pm I spoke with Courtney B[redacted] who informed me all previous calls were edDesired Settlement: I want a full accounting of just how such ineptitude could be tolerated at a bank such as PNC. I want apologies in writing from EVERY individual I spoke to.I want the money that was stolen returned.I want apologies in writing from these incompetent and rude branch employees.Specifically-I demand a statement IN WRITING-from PNC Bank as to HOW a case involving at least 15 people was entered as a "complaint" instead of "dispute" as related to me by Ms Courtney B[redacted]

Review: I lost my credit card from PNC Bank and promptly called in and reported it lost. They shut down my credit card immediately and ordered a new one, sending it to a branch at my request. They asked me to review all charges before paying and make sure none were fraudulent. I have all online statements and all the former statements disappeared when the card was shut off.
I never received the new card. Eventually, about a month later, the statements from the old card appeared and I reviewed the charges. None were fraudulent. When I went to pay my bill online, I could not transfer the money between accounts like I normally do. The error message just said the function was not available at this time. I waited a few days and tried again. Same thing. A week later I tried again. Still the same thing. Finally I went into the local branch and she said it wouldn't work because my credit card wasn't activated. So in effect, I couldn't pay my bill online as is my usual custom. However Emily from my local branch helped me pay it with Bill Pay, a workaround. By this time of course, my payment was late and PNC added a late fee and interest. When I called in to explain the situation, I was told they couldn't remove the late fee. I asked to talk to a supervisor who was most unhelpful and even a bit rude. She said she could not remove the fee because I had had a late fee removed in October. I asked to talk with her supervisor and she said there was no one above her I could talk to. I asked to talk with a decision maker and then she got very confusing and rude. This left me very frustrated. I asked her to file a complaint which she said she would do.
I looked up PNC's website and their corporate values were listed. Here is a cut and paste...
Our Values:
Performance: We strive for excellence in all that we do.
Customer Focus: We understand our customers' needs, seek to deliver an exceptional experience and provide insight to help them achieve their financial goals.
Respect: We trust the capabilities, character and judgment of our colleagues and empower them to make decisions.
End of cut-and-paste.
I feel like the way I was treated is in direct violation of these top three corporate values. I find it hard to believe that in today's business environment, no one had the authority to waive a late fee when I had tried to pay it multiple times and couldn't. I am asking that the late fee and interest be removed on my credit card account.Desired Settlement: The late fee and interest be removed on my credit card account.

Review: I have notified PNC on numerous occasions over several years now to get my account updated and corrected. They said I was late on a payment when in fact, and after they admitted to it, that I was not. I have paid them on time and because of fraud committed by my ex-husband who stole all of my credit cards and money, I had to file bankruptcy. The bankruptcy has been discharged which was reported to PNC. PNC has not corrected this and despite my many phone calls, emails and efforts to get it resolved it has not. I called again today and was told that I would get a response phone call within 10 minutes. Still have not received a response. I have emailed them going back to June of last year, written letter that copied the vice president and president of PNC, no response. When I was trying to get this resolved when trying to refinance my house last year, I was told that it would be resolved. I called today to get a balance on my loan only to find out it is still in the bankruptcy department. I want to get my credit reporting back to normal as quickly as possible. I pay extra on this account. I was assured that the account was fixed and would be reporting to the credit bureau. They still have it reported as delinquent and still have not received any information on what my balance is. Please get this resolved. This has been ongoing since 2009 but promises were made in 2013 that this would be handled and corrected.Desired Settlement: I want confirmation that my account was refunded all of the late fees and that the account will be reported to the credit bureau. I want to know if the interest was corrected.

Review: Hi I have online banking and requested a stop payment online for check [redacted] written for 1000.00. Payment went thru and I was charged 37.00 fer when I shouldn't of, because stop payment are free with my account. What upset me is I brought this issue to PNC and customer service rep said he apologies and there was nothing he could do because check was pending on my account. Next day I contacted PNC online on 05/12/2015 and requested a customer service to put another stop payment on it and instead I was sent a message on my account on instructions to do it myself online. Remember I did issue a stop payment online and it didn't work so why would you provide me instructions when I asked PNC to please do so.Desired Settlement: I want refunded for overdraft fees associated with check [redacted] for 1000.00.

Review: I am filing a complaint with PNC bank because they allowed a company to debit my paycheck from my checking account after my check had already cleared, without my authorization. I work in sales and am subcontracted by various companies to sell hot tubs. I worked for [redacted]) in Sioux City Iowa the weekend of 27-29. The check in question was my commission check for that weekend. The company asked if I could work in San Diego the following weekend and I declined due to high air line rates. My commission check cleared the bank on Saurday, July 5th. On Monday, July 7th my wife noticed the check was in pending for debit from our account. When she called PNC they told her a company can debit your account if the paycheck amount is incorrect. I then called and text messaged both the owner of [redacted] as well as the payroll employee at the company. The owner, [redacted] would not return my calls. The payroll employee, [redacted] sent me a text message stating that [redacted] made her take my paycheck back because he was angry I did not go to San Diego. I called PNC back and told them the paycheck was being debited as a malicious act and they said I could not file a dispute until it was out of pending. Meanwhile, I'm bouncing checks and in the negative over a thousand dollars. Tuesday, July 8th, I filed an official complaint. The bank said they would mail paperwork I needed to sign but if I stopped in my local branch and faxed the paperwork, things would move faster. So my wife picked up the paperwork and went to fax them. The fax would not receive documents. She was on the phone with PNC at the copy store for forty minutes on the phone trying to figure out why the fax would not go through. Finally they said the fax was being serviced and we would have to try again the next day. So, the fax was sent out on Wednesday, July 9th. PNC has yet to return any money withdrawn or remove overdraft fees. This was wrong.Desired Settlement: I would like PNC to return our money from my paycheck and refund us all the overdraft fees. My wife has been physically sick over all of this and both of us cannot sleep. This was just wrong, I did not authorize anyone to remove my paycheck. We have late fees from companies that my wife paid bills when the check cleared that I would also like taken care of . Typically when a dispute is filed, the money is returned until a judgment is rendered.

Review: I am writing this complaint on behalf of my mother who doesn't have a computerMy mother has an account with PNC Bank and called Friday afternoon on June 27th to close her account. The guy she talked said it wasn't a problem and that PNC will be sending over a check for the amount that was in the account. The problem is that no one told her they couldn't close the account. Now it is July 15th and the account is still open and there has been a charge of $36. I called PNC and asked why the account was still open and why the charge was there. The woman said" the account could not be closed since there was a deal with the IRS and we now owed PNC $36 and $7.50 for everyday after. I explained to them what happened and that my mother was never told this information. I asked for them to take back the fee since the account should have been closed. Pnc bank said they wouldn't do a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like PNC bank to close the account and refund the overdraft. My mom is a senior citizen who is on a limited income and feels like she should have been told about the account when she called in the first place.

Review: Our PNC HELOC draw period ended after 10 years (and No Problems) and we refinanced with them starting in Oct 2013. It took the company 3 Months to complete the loan process (for unknown reasons), but finally in Dec (Dec 9) the loan was approved and with additional information (Insurance policy items) which were provided repeatedly, by the end of Dec, the final for signature loan documents were being arranged to be sent. However, due to the Holidays, and bad weather, and then work requirements that had me out of town, I requested a delay in the paperwork. (This is documented with the company) I was told there was No Problem with this. However, when I called when I returned early Feb, I was told the loan No Longer Existed!! After extensive runarounds within PNC, I was finally shunted to some mortgage resolution person who apologized but told me that in SPITE of never telling us there was a time limit for sending in the final docs, it was now too late to finalize the loan and we would have to start over. This is ridiculous. The loan is approved! The paperwork is there. I cannot believe this ludicrous tale of lost or closed paperworkDesired Settlement: I want this loan reopened and reinstated and the final paperwork sent and the loan finalized. I have NO desire to start this agonizing 3 month process again especially since PNC has all the paperwork they need and has done all the inspections, etc. to make this happen. This Loan Has Already Been Approved. I want them to finish the Process and honor their contract and Complete the loan.

Review: I had a check given to me returned for insufficient funds. That money was taken from my account on Feb 5, 2016. As of February 12th I still have not received the check back form PNC to I can take it to the maker of the check to get my money. I have my account set up so that my debit card does not allow me to over draw may account< I do not understand why the bank is allowed to make the decision to pay items on my account at their decision and the charge me a fee. 3 of the 4 $36,00 fees that were charged to my account were for $5.00 transcations. I did not intend to pay $41,00 for a $5.00 transactions. I do not wish to pay these fees because I would rather have them return unpaid. I told that bank I would like those items reversed so I do not have to pay the $36,00 fee. I was told that I cannot make that decision and that the bank can make that decision to pay items on my behalf and the charge me a fee. They should not be allowed to spend my money for me. As there could be some legal time limitation to the amount of time they have to get a returned check back to me so that I can follow up with the check maker in order to get the money owed to me. The took the money out of my account over a week ago and they are still unsure on when I can expectDesired Settlement: I would like a refund of 108.00 for the 3 $36 fees for the $5.00 transactions. And would like to know the legal amount of time that a bank has to return an unpaid check that was deposited to my account. I don't think it should their decision to send it whenever they choose.

Review: I have been a customer for a few years now and have often bragged about and suggested PNC to many friends, family, and colleagues. Yesterday my account was overdrawn $62.34. (due to 2 checks clearing that morning) I made a cash deposit in the amount of $63.00, (before 8 pm) which brought my balance to a possitive $.66. The next morning my account was overdrawn in the amount of $38.35. This balance reflected a NSF check return fee of $36.00. Apparently overnight I became overdrawn $2.35 (gas) and this is why the check ($15.00) was returned and I received the NSF fee of $36.00. After speaking to 2 different customer service employees, I was left feeling unhelped and unsatisfied with their lack of concern.Desired Settlement: I would like the NSF fee of $36.00 refunded and whatever fees the payee has accrued. If this is not taken care of, I will soon be closing all 3 of my accounts with PNC.

Review: In January of 2014, I closed a secured visa card that I had for approximately 1 year with PNC Bank and had the security deposit of $1,000.00 less the outstanding balance at the time returned to me. Let me repeat, I paid this account off in full and had my deposit returned to me and yet PNC Bank reopened my account and demanded that I pay $777.12 for unknown charges for which I have and do dispute all of them in their entirety. PNC Bank is a predatory organization that employs illegal and predatory business practices to deliberately target low income individuals and those who have been victims of identity theft.Desired Settlement: Closure of the account paid in full and removal of all negative credit information from my credit report. In fact, I would like a letter placed in my credit report about what an outstanding customer that I have been and how my account was always paid to our agreed terms until PNC Bank decided that it wanted to employ predatory business practices and target me.

Review: On 12/5/15, I drove around to the ATM and the PNC bank in Manchester, KY to deposit money. The money was fir my cheer team to purchase tshirts (uniforms). I put $208 cash into the machine, and suddenly it froze and said "temporarily unavailable; please contact your financial institution". So after going inside the bank to another ATM to deposit the checks that parents had given to me, successfully, I called the 800 number immediately. I was ensured that the matter would be resolved and it would be okay. I was issued a provisional credit to use immediately pending the investigation. I received a letter on 12/19 saying the following..."We have completed our investigation of your claim. After careful review of the documentation available to us, we determined that a different error occurred. Our records show that the actual amount of the error was $60. Therefore, the provisional (temporary) credit previously issued in the amount of $200 will be adjusted. Accordingly, we will be reversing $148.00 from your account on 12/21/15."
How can they do this to me? I deposited $208 and have no documentation to prove it because their machine went out of order, not ince, but twice. Two weeks later I had to file another dispute over $20 but was fully credited for it, no questions asked. I feel that someone has pocketed some money and I want documentation as to how this determination was made. I will be contacting my lawyer if this is not fixed.Desired Settlement: I want my money back that I put into that ATM. My $148 that will come from my acct tomorrow per the PNC consultant that I spoke with.

Review: I went into PNC in [redacted] a few months ago to sign up for a credit card. I spoke with [redacted] at the branch & explained to her that I was only interested in signing up for a credit card that had a 0% APR introductory rate. She looked in the system & told me she wasn't sure if they had any promotions. I told her thanks, but I didn't want any other offers. At this time she went & spoke with another employee & came back saying they did have a 0% APR offer. Next, I was asked if I wanted a points or cash back card. I told her it did not make a difference to me. She asked if I typically pay my credit cards off & I told her yes, I have one other card & I pay it off in full every month. She signed me up for the cash back card & I went on my way.I received my second billing statement & noticed an interest charge. Upon calling customer service they told me the card I signed up for did not have a 0% introduction rate, but they would look into it. A week later the branch manager from [redacted], [redacted], called to resolve the issue. She said based on the notes [redacted] had taken I told her I pay my credit cards off in full. Because of this, [redacted] signed me up for the cash back card, which does not have a 0% APR rate, but instead a promotion on balance transfers. I explained to [redacted] that I had told [redacted] the only reason I was signing up for the credit card was to get the 0% APR. [redacted] said there was nothing they could do about it but she would better coach her employees.Desired Settlement: To be given the introductory 0% APR that I was lead to believe I was signing up for.

Review: OUR HOME MORTGAGE WAS WITH PNC AND MORE THAN 2 1/2 YEARS AGO WE HAD TO SELL THE HOUSE DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO AFFORD IT ANYMORE. PNC GOT ALL OF THE MONEY THEY WERE OWED ON THE LOAN. I GOT A COPY OF MY AND MY HUSBANDS CREDIT REORT AND IT SAID OUR HOUSE WAS DISCHARGED IN OUR BANKRUPTSY (WE FILED BANKRUPTSY LAST FEBUARY, 2 YEARS AFTER THE SELL OF THE HOUSE). THIS IS NOT TRUE. I CONTACTED PNC AND TALKED TO [redacted], WHO TOLD ME I NEEDED TO WRITE A LETTER TO THE "RESEARCH DEPT. AND CREDIT BUREAU REPORTING" AT PNC. I DID DO THAT AND THEY AGREED THERE WAS AN ERROR AND IT WAS SUPPOSED TO GET FIXED, WHICH NEVER HAPPENED. I ALSO GOT A DENIAL LETTER ON JUNE 11, 2013 FROM PNC FOR A HOME MODIFICATION LOAN, WHICH WE NEVER APPLIED FOR. I CONTACTED THEM ABOUT THAT AND WAS TOLD THE COMPUTER AUTOMATICALLY SHOOTS THOSE OUT. TODAY I GOT A LETTER FROM THEM AGAIN ABOUT OUR HOME LOAN #[redacted]. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PNC? OUR HOME WAS NOT DISCHARGED IN OUR BANKRUPTSY AND I WANT THAT FIXED ON MY CREDIT REPORT AND I DONT WANT THEM APPLYING FOR LOANS IN MY BEHALF, I AM TRYING TO REBUILD MY CREDIT.
