Review: On thursday 11/12/15 I went to the ATM at this branch and was attempting to deposit $600, all in $20 bills. The machine took my money, but spit some of it back out. The machine said I was trying to put more then 50 bills (the maximum amount) in. Obviously $600 in 20's is not more then 50 bills. It then said $220 was accepted. I assumed it was just a glitch so I proceeded to deposit the $380 it spit back out at me. At that point the machine made some funny noises, and kept my money. It gave me 2 receipts, 1 said cash verify failure, the other said cash return failure, please contact financial institution. The machine then said temporarily out of service. I pulled my car forward and immediately called, however, the branch had just closed so I was transferred to the main number. There I was told it was probably just a ATM glitch and the money should be in my account in the morning, if not call them. Of course the $380 was not there in the AM so I called the branch where it occurred and was told I had to file a dispute and it would take UP to 10 days. Well we are on day 8, and many phone calls later I still do not have the $380. This is ridiculous!Desired Settlement: I want the $380 put into my account IMMEDIATELY! I also feel I should be given an apology, I have been treated as if this is somehow my fault and it is in no way their fault.

Review: Recently I had been in a terrible accident landing me a bed in the hospital a few weeks. In the meantime my pnc account had been overdrafted by a payment I was on my way to make before I was hit. After coming home from my hospital stay I receive letters of collections from pnc pulling up my account to find a 155 dollar payment at 404 all from fees that pnc charged. Knowing my situation I call to get some assistance not asking for everything to be waived but partial and was refused. Despite me being hospitalized and unable to contact them sooner they say because I asked for reversals previously (that were all just me saying I know it's legitimate but can you help?) pnc would not offer any hardship assistance considering I have been out of work and physically unable to go to their branch to pay it sooner. They said that me asking before was considered a hardship which is completely at the representatives discretion I never once said I am in a hardship before my call about this recent incident. For the years I spent with them none of it mattered and was given banks that don't waive any fees as if this would make me feel better which I was even told banks who I know do waive fees so once again misled! Pnc does not care about what happens in their account holders lives according to them one can only have ONE HARDSHIP in their lives. I strongly urge everyone to stay FAR and CLEAR from this bank unless you would like to be belittled and fined for things out of your controlDesired Settlement: I would really love to see someone take action and give me a little assistance as I had asked but after speaking with pnc supervisors etc this would never happen. Just want people to know how corrupt and greedy these people are.

On the 6th of July 2015, I called the [redacted] Branch of PNC.
On 4 July 2015, we had a overdraft charge of $36.00 and showing it was for the 6th of July. How can they forecast a overdraft charge for two days in the future. The checking account had a positive Balance. I called at 1:54pm. The excuse that the lady gave me was the screen she was looking at was different than online banking. I asked her that what I was looking at and done the math was a positive balance. Also the debit card wasn't used for several days. This has happen quiet a few times before.
I am filing a complaint against PNC with the [redacted] of the [redacted] System.
Also, the new people that works there also is lazy with no customer service training. One day I went to deposit my check thru the drive-thru. I sat there for 10 mins. and they saw me sitting there cause they kept looking at me.
I am with another bank now.
PNC is the worst bank that I have ever saw. Somebody needs to read the complaints on other web sites. It is amazing that they are still in the banking business.
Review: I am currently one year into my apartment loan loan and my third Mortgage Provider, (my loan was sold to PNC Mortgage) I have new daily requirements for new fees! In response to your PNC Mortgage letter dated Nov 5, 2013 Insurance Deductible Exceeds Maximum Allowable Deductible, a new requirement, I adjusted my max deductible accordingly and now at $500. However, when I called to confirm with PNC, after going thru closed loop phone options and finally talking to an agent, I was advised I do not have 20% dwelling coverage (a new requirement). After waiting hour on your phone line to talk to agent manager, I was informed the manager is now on the phone and I will get a call back which I never did!More importantly, I checked with my HOA Insurance Provider ([redacted]) and confirmed I have full Dwelling Coverage already in my master policy (see attached). Accordingly this would be a redundant coverage request! Need PNC Confirmation that no further action is required a stop to this aggressive collection please. Can Revdex.com do anything? Review: [redacted] Mon, Apr 11, 2016 at 4:58 PM
To: [redacted]
My mortgage payment is currently, and has been, in arrears for some time -March 2016 late and April 2016 will be late if not received by April 16th. I am a senior citizen, unemployed and my only source of income is Social Security. I am no certain how or why I fell behind in my mortgage payment. I receive my Social Security check towards the end of the month; therefore when I send my payment, I am always late and include a late fee of $50+ - and I could use this money to buy food. In 2015, I applied for a property tax credit through [redacted] and received same. I have no disposable income.
I received notification from PNC Mortgage that my escrow account has a surplus in the amount of $3,192.58. However, NO REFUND CHECK was going to be issued because my mortgage was in arrears and my loan would have to be made current before a refund could be issued.
Today, I contacted PNC Customer Service, as well as loss mitigation. The PNC Loss Mitigation Dept is another issue altogether. Two failed attempts because documentation was not received on time claim was closed. I have post office dated receipts indicating certified mailed on time.
In any case, the phone conversations with PNC Customer Service and Loss Mitigation were futile. I was attempting to have my March 2016 and April 2016 payments deducted from the escrow account surplus. I was again told my request could not be processed due to my account being in arrears.
I am in a quandary. I have no disposable income and cannot bring my account up to date without the escrow surplus check.
Thank you for your help.

Apply MY mortgage payment ESCROW ACCOUNT SURPLUS BALANCE to my March 2016 late payment . . and my April 2016 payment - must be paid before April 16 or it, too, will be late.
This will enable me to make my May 2016 payment when I receive my Social Security check at the end of April.
Thanks for your help.

To Whom It May Concern:All I wish to accomplish is for PNC Mortgage to internally use my escrow account surplus to pay my mortgage that in arrears . . March/April or April/May depending on time-line resolution has been reached by Revdex.com. My next Social Security check is April 27th. I use my Social Security check to make my mortgage payment. Again, Social Security is my only source of income. I am 72 and do not have a job . . or any disposable income.Thank you for your attention.[redacted]

Review: I have been a customer of PNC Bank for some time and I have never been treated so poorly by the company. I signed up for a deal that PNC has on their "points" website and followed their policy to a T. The policy reads that I have to sign up for[redacted] service and pay my first two bills with [redacted] of at least $50. My plan is well over $50 but because [redacted] over billed me initially, my second and third charge from the company was right below $50 even though the bill was over that amount. PNC claims that because I did not "charge" $50 to my account for the second and third bill that I am not entitled to the points. The policy reads that I must pay the [redacted] "bill" of over $50, which I did. I followed the policy as a reasonable person would read it. PNC has created a level of ambiguity in order to refuse to pay their part of the bargain. I see this action as a breach of contract which warrants a proper remedy by PNC. If this is how PNC treats a loyal customer, I can only imagine how they treat a new customer. I am sure there are others out there in a similar situation as I am in. This action by PNC is unconscionable.Desired Settlement: I would like PNC to follow through with their end of the bargain and pay out the points that they have promised. If a proper remedy is not provided then I am ready to cancel my account and I will do my best to warn others about PNC's practices so that they do not fall victim to a similar outcome.

Review: I have been a loyal customer with PNC Bank for three years. Recently I had an issue with an account I had with them I called the toll free number to close the account I was told that it would be closed. I later found out that the account was not closed and had incurred quite a bit of fees $97 worth of fees. I did not find out about these fees until I was sent a letter in the mail stating that my account was overdrawn by $97. I was very angry so I called to see if I could get the fees waived. I was told no their is nothing that they could do. I hung up with that rep that day. I had two accounts with this bank I no longer needed the other account open that is why I called in to have it closed. At a later date I log into the account I have funds in to discover that PNC Bank took the $97 out of that account and deposited it into the account I wanted closed. The account I had funds in all the money in that account was counted for-for bills and everyday living etc. etc. I then went into the branch to speak to someone. I explained to her that I wanted this account closed and they had no right going into my other account without my knowledge. I asked her if she could refund the money and close the account. She wasn't very helpful and act like she really didn't care about my situation and told me their is nothing that she could do. She even had the nerve to ask me is their anything else she can help me with. They finally closed the account on 6/13/2015 after taking my hard earned money. I called in again on the 16th and I asked for their corporate number I was told that they did not have a corporate number. I was transferred over to a manager that is what I was told. I spoke with him and he was not very helpful at all he didn't seem to care either way. I told him that this put me in financial hardship and he really didn't seem to care. After I spoke with this gentleman I later learned that my other account was closed without my knowledge. I now have to wait until I am sent a cashiers' check.Desired Settlement: I want the $97 dollars that PNC Bank stole form my account refunded back to me. It should be against the law for these big businesses to take and do whatever they want and get away with it. I work to hard for what I do have. I have two small children that also depends on that money.

Review: Due to winter weather, I had to make a mobile deposit from my smart phone to cover a loan payment. The deposit was credited and the payment was made and at no time was my account overdrawn but I still was charged a overdraft fee of $36.00. I spoke to six different people throughout PNC and nobody would help me get a refund of this fee. PNC claims that only a small portion of mobile deposits are available but I was not made aware of this policy. I have a screenshot of my account showing all of my deposit being credited and at no time was my account in a negative balance.

Review: Since 2003, my wife [redacted] and I, [redacted] we have a joint checking account with PNC Bank in which we kept most of the time for the last few years, constantly, all our savings (you can check the amount) and two other separate, individual checking accounts, with very small amount of money, that we have linked to [redacted] accounts so we can move the money from there to PNC. Starting with July 2014, PNC started to charge our individual accounts, my wifes, account number [redacted] and mine, account number [redacted], with ridiculous fees without any mail or email notice when such a big change is affecting a PNC customer financially. In the same situation were my two boys, [redacted], account number [redacted], and [redacted], account number [redacted], college students, for which we provided money transferring from our joint account to theirs, so the fees assessed to their accounts actually affected financially us, the parents. Question for you: If we knew about PNCs changed policy, why we didnt transfer money, with just one click, in the accounts so we could avoid the fees? And the answer is easy: WE WERE NOT PROPERLY INFORMED BY PNC. Period. We found out about those fees only five days ago, by mistake, and as of today, 11/23/2014, after many hours on hold and hours of phone conversations with the PNCs Customer Service representatives for the last days, we were refunded some fees, less than half, only the last 2 months fees with a combined amount of $42 for my wife and I, still not refunded and a combined amount of $16 for my sons still not refunded. Since then my both sons closed their checking accounts (the Financial Advisor that helped them to close the accounts from the PNC branch, told them at the time of closing, that they were not supposed to be charged in the first place any fees because they are still in college ???...) and they closed theirs secured credit cards accounts with PNC too.My wife and I, were declined in our requests/claims to get all our fees refunded, by the PNCs financial specialists, even though we transferred money in our individual account showing that we still want to be PNCs customers. As a result of the refusal, we withdrew and moved to another bank, more than half of the amount of the money from the joint account and closed the individual accounts. We still want to keep the joint account (with two direct deposits and set up with all the bills to be paid) with PNC Bank, but ONLY if we get our fees back, a combined amount of $42.We will wait 10 business days for the fees to be refunded and if we dont get it, we are going to close the joint account and move forward, $42 is not going to make us poorer or make PNC richer, is just the fact that the PNC failed to properly inform us about a major change in our account.Thank you for taking the time to read our letter/complaint/claim.Desired Settlement: $42 fees to be refunded.

Review: PNC Bank has a bad habit of misrepresenting your funds in your account, and then tells you it's your fault when you are overdrawn. Over the last year, I don't know how much money I have paid on overdraft fees, because their online account tracking does NOT give you accurate information about your account. They say they offer 24/7 account access so you can check your balance, and do online banking. But it's never accurate, and it has cost us a lot of headaches and money. When you try to talk to customer service, the get acusatory, and just try to push their new product, the virtual wallet, which is supposed to record your daily balance accurately I guess? I would think since they offer online banking, you should be able to track your account accurately, without buying in to some new product they are offering. Which I might add is something you have to apply for, and they want to run your ss number for a credit check, which is why I didnt want it. You already have an account with them, why do you need to go through all that to get a new product? I try to restrict the use of my ss as much as possible, they already have it for my account, why do they want to expose me even more to the risk of identity theft? Maybe thats why their online account tracking is so screwey and inaccurate? They're trying to push everyone into getting the virtual wallet? =( They have their current online account tracking so messed up as it is, how am I supposed to have faith that this new product is supposed to do better, what their current online banking is so badly failing at? Our account is never accurate, with balances that fluctuate for seemingly no reason, money disapearing, money showing up from no where? Funds that your account says is there, suddenly not, causing you to overdraft? Hmmm this seems like a lot of smoke and mirrors to me?Desired Settlement: I would like all of the overdraft fees I have paid since opening this account, to be refunded, so that I can take my money, and try my luck at a bank that has more solid online banking, and will not play games with my money. I am not rich, I work hard for my money, and when this bank penalizes me for this crazy mess of an online banking system they have, that takes a meal away from my family, I can not afford their big bank corporation antics, they literally starve us.

Review: Requested PNC mortgage terminate our escrow arrangement. Request was originally denied. A follow up request was made after pointing out errors made by PNC mortgage related to payment of insurance and also notifying them that the loan to value of the mortgaged property did not require an escrow arrangement.PNC Mortgage sent a letter that upon further review they agreed to terminate the escrow arrangement if a fee based on a % of the outstanding loan was paid. My mortgage document contains no provision for payment of a fee to terminate an escrow arrangement and this was confirmed by one of the customer service representatives. I requested this fee be waived but PNC Mortgage responded they would not honor that request. There has been no response to my last letter dated 2-20-14 asking PNC mortgage to point out the provision in the documents supporting the fee they wish to charge to simply discontinue the escrow program and return our funds.Desired Settlement: We would like to have the funds in our escrow balance returned and terminate the escrow program without having to pay the unsupported fee.

Because Mr. [redacted] advised that we had until 3/25/14 to submit everything and this could take up to two month I though that everything was ok with loan application. But finally 1round April 1-2 My niece called them to see what was going on and spoke with the loan officer assistance which advised her that the loan was declined due to low appraisal of the property. That same day she called [redacted] where I have the existent Equity for the house and asked them wha was going on with the payments and explained what PNC did and told me. Unfortunately Mr. [redacted] Loan officer at that time no longer worki at PNC. Because of the mistake that this bank ( PNC ) did to me my credit score got affected. I have been paying my equity loan at [redacted] for 10 years and I have never being late and now because this loan officer at PCN gave me the wrong information and advised and never told that the loan was denied until April I'm paying their mistake and consequences. Review: On 9/14/2015 I made a cash deposit at a PNC Bank ATM to my account with a third party bank. The ATM malfunctioned and kept my cash without crediting my account. PNC has refused to return my money even after I provided them with receipts which prove that the ATM malfunctioned. I provided the receipt which clearly said, "Cash return failure." My bank initiated a dispute with PNC, however PNC has still refused to refund my money. When I spoke with the branch manager, he said that the ATM balance was, in fact, out of balance on the day in question, but for a different amount. He also "escalated" my complaint to corporate, but when I was contacted by corporate, they said that they were unable to help me and that I needed my bank to handle it. Review: I made a deposit at 11:30 am to cover a transaction. PNC processed the charge before the deposit. The deposit was done with a cashiers check, which is suppose to be treated like cash. PNC couldn't help but hold their hand out stealing yet more overdraft fees from me, despite the money being in the account. Having 2 overdrafts occur, and being negative $49, their overdraft fees are $35, which if it was negative, should be at least $70 in the negative. When contacted customer service, they refused to do anything about it. I also requested in the message to just close my account. When they responded, they tried selling me more of their products. Obviously I am not interested in their service, I want my account closed. This rep "escalated" me to someone else, who, on the recorded line, refused no less than 3 times to close my account. This recording can be requested, and you can hear me directly request my account be closed. I have also attached document from PNC where it clearly states that ALL DEPOSITS are processed at 10 pm before any withdrawls.Desired Settlement: Just close the account, I'm sick of dealing with PNC.

Review: PNC gave misinformation in regard to when the close of the day is, resulting in an entire day's delay in posting a $300 deposit to my personal checking account.I have a receipt from a PNC ATM with a date as August 31 at 2015, and a time of 11:02pm with the image of the $300 check I deposited. The next day my account shows a portion of the check as deposited on September 1st. The check for $300 was to cover that days total debits checks and charges, etc.The problem lies in a conversation I had in late July with one of the call center staff at the end of July, who had positively absolutely outright said the word "midnight" when asked. When a deposit could be expected to show on my account.Yesterday September 1st, upon calling to resolve the problem that arose due to this information, which is that four overdraft charges appeared, I was informed by a "Money Management Specialist" named Nick, that the end of the day is at 10pm, contradicting the info given to me in the prior call in July.I have spoken with seven different people over the course of two days, with two of the people promising a callback by the end of the day, which now makes twice I have been lied to. Karen at 8:45am Sept 1st forwarded my call to Nick. Nick informed me that PNC will review the recorded call from July and upon confirming that I was originally told midnight was the cut off, not 10pm, that I would be refunded the charges and would get a call back. I never hot a call back.Today sept 2, I spoke with a Sabrina R[redacted], promising the same. It is nearing 4pm...no call. I have left a message with her. At 4:30pm I received a call from PNC and upon answering, I was hung up on!This is completely unacceptable. to listen to these people spouting insincere words, just garbage such as "I apologize" and "want to help" is quite disgusting and insulting at this point.Desired Settlement: Nick saw it fit to "help" by refunding two of now six fees each $36, as well as a $21 continuous overdraft fee, totalling $165.00. How did nick arrive at two refunds, and which two, and why those two charges in particular? My account is showing as overdrawn for two dats, preventing me from eating, getting gasoline, shopping for food...It has gotten completely ridiculous with these inconsistent people and stories and promises.Evidently reviewing recorded calls for quality takes 3 days!?

PNC Bank, N.A. responded to Mr. [redacted] on October 6, 2015, and considers this matter addressed.
Review: PNC bank is holding transactions in a pending status, and posting them in a separate order than the transactions were made in order to be able to charge multiple overdraft fees instead of a lesser amount.
On multiple occasions, which I do provide supporting documentation, PNC bank will post items to my checking account in a completely different order than purchases were made, sometimes weeks out of date, in order to charge overdraft fees five or six times, instead of the single overdraft charge they would get if things were left in order.
They have also charged overdraft fees when no overdraft was committed, when they are contacted about it they site the outlandish overdraft solutions plan and refuse to refund the fee. Again, I can support this with documentation.Desired Settlement: I am seeking reimbursement for $1200 worth of overdraft fees that were not charged fairly.
