Review: I was recently charged four (4) $36.00 NSF fees by PNC after depositing $200.00 into my account to clear bills. They switched around the deposit and charge times, purposely putting the largest charges last so that they could charge me more NSF fees. Once the account was at $140.00, they immediatly sent through one of the bills for $141.95 to put my acocunt over and then charged the other bills in order to get the NSF fees. The deposit and charge dates aren't even correct. One of the charges of $31.05 is being disputed, because I didn't authorize the charge to my card; but they haven't done anything about it and don't seem to care.Desired Settlement: I would like a $139.05 credit to my account for the NSF fees and unauthorized charge.

Review: In February 2014, PNC Bank took over $1,529.00 out of my checking account. I was not notified by PNC Bank before or after the money was taken out. I never received anything in writing explaining why the money was removed from my account, they just took it.I contacted PNC Bank and PNC Bank advised me verbally, that the money was taken to remburse PNC Bank for an overdrawn account on my daughter's PNC account. My wife had created a joint Debit account for my daughter for an after school job, when she graduated and moved out, my wife went to PNC and attempted to remove her name from the account. PNC refused saying that once someone was put on an account they could not be removed, that was in the summer of 2013. In January of 2014, my daughter took her live-in boy friend to PNC and PNC added him to the account and deposited a work check in the amount of $1,860.00. The check turned out to be fraud. My daughter had waited until PNC cleared the check before drawing money out. PNC came back later saying the check was no good. I complained to PNC and they put the money back in my account and verbally told me they were doing a charge off against my daughter. two days later they took the money out again. When I checked my account, PNC had changed it to show the money was only took out the last time. PNC then did a charge off against my wife's credit and used that as an excuse to take the money again. PNC gave my daughter several notices that PNC was owed the money to include showing where they put my daughter's boyfriend on her account, then took him back off when I complained which PNC claimed could not be done.I have contacted PNC multiple times over the course of 8 months to include the main office and was verbaly told it was PNC's right to do what they did. I have requested multiple times for something in writing explaining why the money was taken. PNC refuses to give me anything in writing explaining why the money was taken or why PNC doctored my account information and caused me financial problems.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation) I want PNC Bank to give me a written notice explaining why the money was taken out of my account and why PNC Bank changed my account statement to show the money was only taken once when PNC took it out, put it back, and then took it again over the course of over a week's time and why my account and my daughter's account was doctored. I also want my money replaced and my wife's credit report fixed and I request PNC bank be investigated for their

This letter is written in response to your correspondence regarding [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] was satisfied with the resolution and had no further questions.
Review: My husband and I went into this branch because we were told they could lower our mortgage payments, and shorten the amount of years we had to pay it back. They also said they would open a line of credit that we could use if needed. We noticed there was $7,000 removed from the line of credit, but when we had asked why and requested information on what it was used for, the paperwork we received showed nothing about the line of credit account. Also, rather than a mortgage the agent actually gave us a home equity loan, which in fact is higher than our previous mortgage, and does not have an escrow account to pay for property taxes or home owners insurance. And now that we are having financial difficulty, the only answers I get from the bank is that they cannot help us due to the fact that we owe more than we make. I am on [redacted] due to [redacted] and my husband has not worked in over two years.Desired Settlement: I would like this converted to an actual mortgage which would have an escrow account, and I would also like this "line of credit" which has a fluctuating interest rate to be included. We were told both loans would have a fixed rate, but there again were lied to.

Review: I was contacted yesterday in regards to a loan that was delinquent. I had recently consolidated my loans from school and was unaware that these loans were not included in the consolidation. A women, [redacted], told me I had been sent to their company because I was in default. I explained that I had received a letter from the original loan center saying my loans were paid in full and I did not owe them anything. She said she would look into the situation and call me back. She called the next day rude, hostile, and belligerent. Claiming I HAD to pay them at least $430.00 RIGHT NOW. I told her I didn't understand what was going on with this situation. She wouldn't explain anything to me and told me pay the money or she would drain my account and my mother's account, she was the consigner. I told her I had checks going through for that money. I don't have that much money. She said "I don't care". I then told her just wait and I want my mother to contact you so you can explain to her. She said no I NEED THE MONEY NOW. I told her no I won't do it just wait. I hung up the phone called my mother and she called the woman. The woman told her that it wasn't her problem we didn't understand. She needed the money and that was it. My mother said ok I will call you right back and pay the money. When we tried to call her she turned off her phone. Both of us looked at our bank accounts and ALL of our money was gone. Close to $1,500 we tried to call the woman back and she put her voicemail on us every time. This is the rudest person I have ever met in my life. I have a life threatening medical condition with thousands of dollars in medical bills. I begged the woman to work with me on the payment. She said no you owe us $11,000 and we will take all your money until it's paid. This has felt like a threat to my life. How am I supposed to live if they take everything I have? All because of a misunderstanding.Desired Settlement: I would like this woman to loose her job. She should not be allowed to ruin people's lives like this. I would like the money that she STOLE from me and my mother to be returned. I am willing to pay the $11,000 but I can not make substantial payments. But I will try my best.

Review: My husband and I refinanced our mortgage through PNC. I used web resources, email, and phone contact with PNC mortgage. The process was easy and we were able to complete the paper work at our local branch, which made things very easy, especially since my husband and I have very chaotic schedules. In general, I was really pleased with the whole processes and was happy to be with PNC.Unfortunately, two months later I received a bill from out home owners insurance. After speaking with our insurance carrier, whom had to call PNC mortgage, she confirmed that we would have to pay out of pocket for our insurance due to the type of loan we had. I was disappointed with PNC that I was not advised about the change during the loan application processes as I would have arranged something with my insurance carrier. Needless to say I was annoyed, but once the situation was resolved I moved on.The biggest shock was when last week I received a second notice from my county that school taxes had not been paid. Again I was confused as taxes had been previously paid through PNC and if this was the second notification where was the first? After further inspection of the statement from [redacted] County, the bill had PNC mortgage address scratched out and mine written in. I looked through the policy provided by PNC as I was concerned I might have missed something, but there was nothing document regarding taxes or insurance. I contacted PNC mortgage on October 11, 2014 about these issue. I was advised that with home equity loan, both insurance and taxes would now have to be paid out of pocket. I was further advised by the PNC representative that this should have been explained to me during the loan application process; however it was considered voluntary information. Essentially, no one was required to tell me information that may impact my finances? Personally, something of that nature I would consider critical. In addition the customer service rep. advised that as of October 11th the [redacted] County web site still indicated billing for taxes should be sent to PNC, which should have been updated by PNC, to reflect a change in address. So if the first notification for taxes went to PNC, what happen to the statement? Why was it not forward to my attention or call to me regarding the error? Whoever processes the notifications through PNC mortgage must have been discarded or ignored the statement. Now I have a second notification for unpaid taxes and indication that interest will accrued for late payment. The customer service represented I spoke to on October 11th took my phone information and reported he would escalate my concerns to a mortgage crisis team, but as of the date of this letter I have not received a response. I tried called the PNC mortgage company through the 1-800 numbers but the operating system had me bouncing around for 30 minutes before disconnecting the call.I understand as a consumer before investigate time, energy, and money in to a product I should educate myself and ask questions; however as a customer I look to PNC to partner with me so that I can be completely informed when making decision about my finances. I am truly disappointed. I was working with another Financial Sales Consultant through PNC prior to this incident. At the time I was so pleased with how the home equity loan process went I was looking at working with PNC with other finical products, investments, loans, and savings, but because of this incident I dont wish to do any more business with PNC for fear of the unknown. What other surprise provisions will there be?Desired Settlement: PNC need to contact me about the situation, someone with understanding of the processes. As our school taxes are required to be paid and due PNC has caused a delay due to negligence we may have to pay interest

Review: My husband and I started the process with PNC Mortgage last year to buy a home. The lady that we dealt with handled our loan poorly. We were told that the appraisal fee was including in closing costs which homeowners were paying. Later we were then asked to pay the appraisal fee which was $500+. After several months of getting all the information and of PNC having the paperwork we were then told we would have to have land surveyed because the survey we had was not enough. This was told approximately 4-5 days before we were supposed to close on the house. We were then told if it wasn't done by then we would have to pay extra to extend the closing date. This costs us $600. Our loan representative was not inattendance at our closing. She phoned us several hours before closing to tell us that we would have to pay $600 more dollars on closing than we were previously told. We were supposed to be informed of amount 24 hours prior. We have had issues with escrow account ever since. We were told we owed $400 extra dollars that they hadn't collected at closing. My husband called and was supposed to have been fixed. We are now recieving a bill that says we now owe $622. I called customer service and the man I spoke with was exceptionally rude. I understand our insurance went up but it was only $200, I'm not sure were the other is coming from and no one can seem to explain to me. The man said there was no supervisor for me to speak with and they would tell me the same thing. We have been out a lot more money that was initially told to us which has put us in a bind finanicially several times.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund on the money we were out that was not told to us. I also want the issue resolved with repeatedly recieving a bill that we do not owe.

Review: I contacted PNC Bank to close my fathers savings account due to his death. I was named Executor of Estate by the Probate Court, listed in his will as the responsible party and have other legal documents from the court. There's only me and my sister. Unfortunately, they do not directly indicate the savings account. PNC Bank has discarded all documentation and has stated that they required another court document to close the account. The account has less than $5000.00. Another court document may cost approximately $1000.00 for the attorney to submit. I understand the bank policy, but with all of the documentation, my fathers intentions were very clear. I was also told by two bank employees that it is a law that they cannot release the money without documentation. I have been in the banking industry for 20 years and know of no law that they are referring to.I feel that with all of the documentation provided, I should not have to go back to the attorney to have another form prepared and incur any more cost because of this banks policy.Desired Settlement: I would like a check cut and all accounts closed with the bank.

Review: On 10/25/14 approx. 8 am I called into PNC Customer Service to report my debit card stolen, so that the card could be deactivated. The male customer service rep had me tell him my last 3 transactions, he told me the card was deactivated and that I would receive a new one in 3-5 business days. My estranged husband [redacted] broke in my home, physically assaulted me by smashing a fish tank on me causing a 5 in deep laceration down to the tendon and bones. After assaulting me Mr. [redacted] stole my purse containing all credit cards, check book, cell and keys. I have had a protection order against him since May 5, 2013. So he did not have any claim to my money, cards nor was he suppose to be within a 1000 ft of me. While I was on the ph with the customer service rep, I was monitoring my account online with the one arm I had left while at the same time receiving medical treatment and there were no transactions or atm withdrawls before, during or after I spoke with PNC customer services. After I returned from the hospital, I checked my account to report my checks were in my purse and noticed there were 3 withdrawls totalling $600 plus fees. I immediately called PNC crying to report this. I feel if the customer service rep deactivated my card, there would not be $600 missing from my account prohibiting me from moving. I reported that [redacted] had my pin number because that is what I assumed from years ago, due to my pin being the same. However, he could have guessed the pin number because it is our son birthday. PNC is refusing to credit the money that was stolen.Desired Settlement: I would like my $600 credited to my checking account due to the fact it is the bank's fault for not deactivating my card, when it was reported stolen. Regardless of any other facts I should not have to suffer a finacial loss because of a bank mistake or because their customer service rep drop the ball and did not do his job. I have been a customer of PNC bank for years and prior to [redacted] merging with PNC, I as with them since the age of 18 yrs old and I am in my 30's now.

Review: $40.oo Late Charge Amount has been on my loan account since May of 2013. Charges are a result of paper work not being done by them in a timely manor. After many weeks of disagreements with PNC Bank and the way they handled insurance on my loan account #[redacted] they charged me with a $40.00 late fee. On 5/22/2013 I spoke with [redacted] (unknown spelling or last name) about the late charge. He assured that he had removed it. He didn't. This was a direct result of them allowing paperwork "to fall through the cracks" in the words of [redacted] who refused to give last name, at 1 866[redacted] on 6/11/2013. Charge remained on account for the month of July. I called 4 different people beginning with my local branch in [redacted], PA. Given the run around with lots of transfers and no results. Charge remains on August bill. I call [redacted] again only to hear an automated message that the phone number is not longer available. I gave up after 3 days of no results. Charges remain on September bill. I started at 8:20am today by calling 888 [redacted], the number for customer service on the bill. After 13 mins of pushing numbers and saying prompt comands I reached [redacted] who transfered me to a different department and disconnected my call twice. I called the local branch again in Greenville at [redacted] and was told to call [redacted] again. I did. I spoke with [redacted] who transfered me to [redacted] who informed me that I have to speak to a case manager whom I didn't know existed. This transfer resulted in an answering machine with a message that was so quickly spoken I could not understand half of it let alone the name given. They gave me 10 seconds to leave my name telephone and account numbers. I was able to leave my name number and half of the account number and then instructed to push several more buttons to send the message. Its 4:00pm and I still have not heard from anyone. I need results now. Please. Thank You [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want the $40.00 and any and all fees or interest incurred by this amount removed from my account.

Review: PNC Points program was originally available to anyone who used a PNC Debit card. This service was great and my wife and I were storing up out points to buy something big in the reward category. Just recently around December PNC announce that they are no longing allowing debit card holders to earn points. The last day to earn any points was Jan. 31. My wife had separate accounts before we were married and had points left over on those cards. Since our cards were linked together I called PNC's Retail Escalation Group. Upon speaking with a [redacted] I informed him of our situation and he said that he could dispute the information and get all of our points combined together. [redacted] has mine and my wifes cards upmerged which made me lose her points and was supposed to have my wifes cards merged together so that she got all of her points and none were orphaned. Well, we never heard back from [redacted] but he did say it could take 3-4 weeks. Finally I called back 3 months later and was told there is no way to merge her points. I said that is what I was told was being done and I want it done. I was told theres "nothing they could do" I then said so since you unmerged mine and my wifes cards I lost her points as well? I was informed that yes in fact since I asked for something to be done I am being punished and now I have 12,000 less points for myself to use. The problem is with the program you are rewarded for having more points and get bigger point discounts when you buy more expensive items. Unfortunately since PNC decided to not follow through for us on their PROMISE, we have to suffer.Desired Settlement: I would like all of our points to be merged together whether they have to manually zero my wifes accounts out and deposit them or if they have to remerge them until we make our purchase in the rewards category. I want all of our points that we EARNED by using our debit card a certain way to be put into one bank that we can use or they can manually adjust all of our points to zero and send us the $150 BEST BUY gift card that we were going to use the points on. Either resolution would be good.

Review: I am writing a complaint for PNC Bank. From 2006-2009 I had a checking account while I was in college with them. I had an issue where someone was making fraudulent transactions with my card. When I checked my account I was negative a lot of money. I disputed a lot of charges, PNC gave me a credit of some of the money and then reversed their credit. They told me that the places that the card had been used needed to have a signature. I went to the places and asked if they make people sign or if they looked at the cards. They all responded that they didn't ask for signature or look at cards unless they were over a certain amount. All of the charges were under $35.00, so none of them said they would have asked for a signature or even looked at the card. The consultant at PNC said we would have to pay for an investigation which I found out later was not true. The other option was paying the balance. To close the account my Mother and I paid the balanced and closed the account. The account was closed and we were not told that the other transactions were being disputed and would be charged to the account that we had just closed. I never got a letter or a phone call from PNC stating we owed any money or there was issue. I went to open up a bank account with [redacted] now in 2013 and they told me on their E-status or signature said I had an issue with PNC and I may owe them money. I immediately went to PNC after to find out what was the issue. They had sent the rest of the disputed money to collections and they said I owed $368.01. I asked them how was I not contacted they said they sent letters out and could not get ahold of me on an old number they had for me. They said they had sent it to my old address which I had updated multiple times since 2009 and never received anything from them. I paid the balance and wanted to dispute my payment since it was years later and was never contacted. They told us we couldnt do anything because I no long had an account and it was too old.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my money. I was never contacted that I had still owed any money. Also the charges that I was disputing were not my charges. PNC bank says that your money is insured and if fraudulent charges are made you receive your money back. In this case they told us their was nothing we could do but give them even more money. I don't believe this is fair that my Mother and I had to pay for charges that I didn't make. Also being lied to that we would have to pay for investigation.

Review: I have not used my PNC account in years. I have an active [redacted] account that I let my husband use to sell an item. Negligence on my part, I forgot to take off the link to my PNC account from the [redacted] account. After the item sold, I assumed I would be billed later for the 10% of the sale price. Instead, the bill was auto-deducted from my PNC account. PNC is supposed to notify me via email if any charges are drawn, and I was never notified. I received a letter in the mail days after the first overdraft fee. By that point, my account was already overdrawn nearly $100. I informed PNC that we did not have the money to pay off the balance at this time and would not be able to until at least a month from today. They did nothing to help our situation, and their customer service was less than pleasant. People make mistakes, but our mistake went from a $17 charge to over $200 because of overdraft fees. All they did was over me $20/month over draft protection, but I've already informed them once my account is zero I am closing the account. I informed them numerous times that I already wanted to close my account in the past, but was encouraged to keep it open in case I needed it at a later date. I never check the balance on there, because I do not use it and I have fraud alerts in place that never notified me of the withdraw.Desired Settlement: I would like the over draft fees removed and I will gladly pay the $17 [redacted] charge. Overdraft fees are barbaric and only punish those that do not have disposable incomes.

Review: Dear Revdex.com, I have attempted to close a personal checking account at PNC Bank in [redacted] FIVE times! Each and every time I closed the account with a representative at this location I would find out a week later that it was never closed correctly. Of course I found out through emails stating I was overdrawn although I had already closed the account. This has seriously become a nightmare for me,I have had this account closed by every person that works at this branch and they can not grant a simple request. As a result of their illegal and faulty business practices I have been charged hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees that should never have existed. I started to feel like was going crazy so I enlisted the help of my mother as my power of attorney to close the account. My mother closed the account and recieved written proof of it being closed by a girl named [redacted] at the [redacted] location and five days later I recieved another email stating it was overdrawn! This simply is not legal, they tell you its closed and never actually close it than days later I owe overdraft fees. I am owed this money back, and more importantly I want my account closed. Please help me to fix this problem. The last time the account was reopened they claimed it is not their fault because an automatic withdrawl reopened the account but the last time they claimed it was due to the virtual wallet that it reopened. They clearly do not know what they are doing at this branch. I have also written to PNC corporate to let them know about this branch but I am hoping you can help me retrieve my hard earned money they stole from overdrafts on an account that they promised was closed. I have it in writing that the account was closed. Please help!Desired Settlement: I am requesting that PNC Bank Employees in [redacted] be held accountable for the mishandling of this account for the previous five months. Each time I was told the account was closed I encurred more overdraft fees. The total amount I am asking to be refunded is 360.00. I am also asking for a signed letter stating the account is closed to stop this from continuing. This is truly a crime, I am just asking to be refunded the money they took from me due to their own mistakes

Review: My partner and I deposited a Certified Bank check for $5000 using the ATM service. Unaware that since both names were on the check and we were depositing it into an account with only 1 of our names it would be a problem. We are informed the next day it was refused and being mailed back to us to redeposit. That was 4 weeks ago. During this time every member of customer service has given us a different answer and lied to us. They even tried saying they would have the check re issued. It was not a check drawn on or drafted by PNC. It was from another bank as a loan we took out to pay for our wedding. Our first payment is due on the loan and we only just received the money because I was able to get the loan company to do an emergency stop payment reissue. PNC is claiming its not there fault we never received the check and should not be responsible for the late fees and charges we have incurred. We even verified several times with the branch and customer service that the mailing address was correct. They not once have taken responsibility for losing the check and are unwilling to do anything to compensate us for their complete lack of professionalism and handling of this issue. We will be closing all 5 of our accounts and credit cards.Desired Settlement: We would like at the bare minimum the $205 loan repayment that was due that we had to pay on the loan monies we did not have in hand due to PNC mishandling of this situation. if not a larger settlement,

Review: Towards the end of 2014 I was splitting my home equity payments in two deliveries within the month. One payment was somehow recognized as a payment for the payment period AFTER the one it was suppose to be applied to instead. This incorrectly showed I was short in payment for my upcoming due date. It took many months for the correction to occur and I had to work with several representatives until one finally took the time to review the account carefully and address it back in February/ March 2015. EXCEPT, I recently noted that my Credit Score is impacted by the incorrect notation of being late on payment.
PNC has the WORST customer service and it has been extremely exhausting working with them. There is no accountability and traceability there. I have my own job but they require their customers to act as employee's too by requesting letters, additional calls, etc. instead of one there reviewing and correcting. I tried to contact the SAME woman who finally helped me last time BUT was told when my call was routed to the local PNC office that they cannot do that.
THIS IS A HOPELESS/ HELPLESS situation working with PNC and I need my credit score resolved quickly and accurately since it is impacting both my husband and I!!!Desired Settlement: Correct Credit Score with all three Agencies (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) and show our account never late in payments for both [redacted]

Review: I got behind two months on my mortgage due to some medical expenses. I owed for Sept and Oct by this point. I paid the September payment at the end of Oct at a branch. I called PNC in Nov to see if I could work out some type of arrangement. I was told when I called that the September check was being mailed back to me because I had to pay all 3 months, Sept, Oct and Nov by the end of the month. I asked why would they send a payment back that they had already taken out of my bank account but they just said they requiure all or none. So, I asked for a hardship hearing and waited on a hardship packet in the mail. I didnt get it. So, around the 3rd of December I called to ask for another packet and was told my case was sent to Foreclosure and a lawyer. I was stunned because I had asked for help. I asked for another packet to be mailed. Around Dec 9th I still didnt have the packet so I called and was instructed how to print it from the website which I did. I turned it in 2 days later. About 3-4 days later the packet came in the mail. I called to check on the status of my case and they told me that had asked for information that I didnt send. This was not the case so they reopened my request and asked for the same information I had already provided. They state they officially had everythin I needed to evaluate my request on 12/30/2013 and it could take 30 days for a decision. In the meantime, I get a letter from the lawyer stating to bring my account current I had to pay over 6,000-- 1800 of which were lawyer fees!! PNC would not acept any paymts from me. I have called them every week! On 3/17 I call and was told my case was still being worked on. Now over 70days! I got a call from PNC yesterday that I missed. When I did call them back yesterday afternoon I was told a letter was mailed on 3/17 stating my request for assistance had been denied. So, now I am 7 months behind on my mortgage and they intend to foreclose on my home. The rep says I have no option but to sell or pay the lawDesired Settlement: I want to set up a repayment plan or something. I have been on my job for 15 yrs and want to keep my home.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
PNC did not mail the packet to me on Nov 12th which is why I had to call again appeox the 2nd of December. I was told another one would be mailed but it could possibly take 5-10 business days for mail to go out. I was finally told oapprox. Dec 9th how to print out myself from the website when I called AGAIN to state I still had not received a packet but did recieve a letter stating my loan was going to foreclosure. I faxed my completed packet to the company approx 12/12 and called and was told they had received the packet and all information was there. I then called on the 17th to check on my case because PNC suggests you to call weekly to check on the status of your case. I was told that day my casewas closed. When I asked why, they could not tell me because it appeared all of the information was there. I was told it was an error and my case would be reopened. I was told a decision would be made in 30 days. PNC did not give me answer until March! Yes, I have now caught my mortgage up after having to pay their lawyer fees of over 1300.00. My complaint is regarding the total incompetence and lack of business ethic of the company and their process when someone asks for assistance. They operate barely above the law it appears without any regard to the homeowner. They take no resposibilities for their errors and the fact that if my September payment was no good on October 30th when it was received at the bank, the bank should have known and rejected the payment on that day. Then, I would have known. The loan went to foreclosure and therefore the added legal fees because PNC states that is their rule when you are 4 months behind. Had they kept the September payment that had already been withdrawn from my bank account/cashed by PNC and then I would have only owed Oct, Nov and Dec which a person has 30 days to pay before it can be reported the credit bureau as a late payment. Technically I was only 3 months and 5 days behind when they decided to send it to the lawyer and therefore make me now owe an outrageous amount of money to a lawyer they had done nothing. My case never even went to court but I had to pay all legal fees before they would consider my loan reinstated. I even asked could they take the legal fees off since it took them triple the time to make a decision from the 30 days I was originally told as compensation to me for all of tthe headache I went through faxing updated paystubs every month they didnt have a decsicion made. I was told "no" I had to pay their lawyer and one of the reasons given was because they did not get a packet for assistance BEFORE it went to foreclosure, never mind I asked for the packet in November and never recieved it. PNC barely moral/ethical. PNC is a terrible mortgage company.
