The response is probably correct but their response definitely doesn't meet the smell test. I will never purchase travel Insurance from them again and have apprised [redacted] of the fact. [redacted] has received my complaint concerning this company and their policies. I do thank the Revdex.com for trying to assist me with this matter..

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [email protected].

[redacted]4-10-18 Business has resolved this and has sent reimbursement. Thank you for your help, if I wouldn't have filed this complaint I don't think I would have ever gotten resolution. [redacted]
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Allianz did not provide notice to me that they would require additional medical records until I reached out to them after my claim had been active for nearly a month. Per my original communication with Allianz during the claims filing process directly on their web-site, I let them know that I spoke with my doctor on Friday, November 6, however they insisted that they never received that communicate from me. Again, this has been incredibly poor service and a painstakingly long claims process with ridiculously slow response times from Allianz. I believe that ultimately Allianz should pay my original claim, but due to poor timing between when I was able to see my physician and the extremely long response time about my question regarding their physician policy (much longer than the timeframe promised in their auto response e-mail), I will accept a refund of my original premium paid in order to resolve this claim. To me, this is more than a reasonable resolution. I don't understand why there is so much push back from the company, who is clearly in the wrong.

Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. We apologize for any frustration the consumer may have endured. The insurance offered on the ticket booking website is opt in, which means the insurance would have to be selected during the booking process in order for is to receive the information....
The insurance is offered for all events regardless of the cost of the tickets. The insurance premium is refundable within 10 days of purchase as long as the event date has not passed. According to our records, the consumers event has already taken place. At this time, we are unable to process a refund for the insurance. I regret that we are unable to provide the consumer with a more favorable response at this time.Thank you,Kalinda H[redacted]Claims Escalation Examiner, USA
Thank you for forwarding this matter to my attention. The consumer was paid the maximum amount allowed as a trip cancellation claim- which was what she paid for the ticket. I’m not sure what the consumer is referring to stating the amount due to her is $[redacted]. If the consumer had other claims, then those claims would be addressed separately. The matter with the initial complaint is closed as it was resolved for the full amount of the claim and no other claim numbers were provided in the complaint. Sincerely, Kalinda H[redacted]

Thank you for forwarding this matter to my attention. Our records indicate that the consumers claim number is [redacted]. As the insuring agreement included a named perils certificate, the consumer is required to send in verification of the incident that caused the loss,...
proof of payment for the trip cost and the itinerary. Once received, the Claim Department will review all documents to determine if the consumer canceled for a covered reason. As of today, no documents have been received. I have requested to have an email outlining the requested documentation sent to the consumer. Sincerely, Kalinda H[redacted]Claims Escalation Analyst
Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. We apologize for any frustration this has caused the consumer. Our programs are like any other type of insurance in that there are terms, conditions, and exclusions that impact coverage. As such, in the event a claim becomes...
necessary, we require certain supporting documentation to allow us to accurately apply coverage and adjudicate the claim. As the consumer indicated the reason for cancellation was medical in nature, a Physician Statement Form (PSF) would be included with the claim package. The PSF is designed to assist the consumer in providing us with information we need to adjudicate their claim accurately (i.e. specific information on the condition, onset date, treatment dates, and doctor’s advice regarding cancelation of the trip or event). Even so, the PSF is not required—if they can provide the information we require to adjudicate a claim another way (e.g. a letter from the treating physician detailing the information noted above or a copy of the hospital admission/discharge paperwork), we would be happy to review that instead. In order for us to accurately determine coverage, we ask that the consumer submit a claim form, a copy of the electronic event tickets (or the unused paper tickets if applicable), proof of payment for the event tickets (this may be a copy of the [redacted] invoice), and a PSF or other document which includes the necessary information detailed above. We stand ready to review any supporting documentation the consumer would like to submit.Brian B[redacted]
Dear Ms. [redacted]: Thank you for forwarding this matter to my attention. We apologize for any frustration the claims process may have caused. Our records indicate that the consumer filed a claim online on August 20th with the following cause “Issue with transportation caused me not to be able to...
go.” At this time we do not have information that indicates that the consumer spoke with someone in August and filed a claim for medical reasons. The consumer called our office in April 2016 and at that time we advised him we needed verification of cause of cancelation along with the appropriate claim forms. The consumer referenced food poisoning at that point. In order to process a claim for a medical reason, we would need verification of the loss, which is why we require an examination within 72 hours of the loss. This information was stated in the terms and agreement of the policy. I am more than happy to assist by reviewing the phone call the consumer states that was made in August. To do so, I will need the phone number that the consumer called from. Sincerely, Kalinda H[redacted]

In response to your reply to my complaint to the Revdex.com. My case number is [redacted] .I have submitted all requested forms and paperwork to allianz back in june since then I have recived 2 letters stating you are closing my claim due to no reply .I called you agent over the phone and they confimed you received all paper work and would call me back to discuss my claim but never got a call back.Since I received another letter stating you have gotten no response from me .From my side it appears allianz is trying everything possible to elminate my claim.I have given up on getting my claim processed & have informed [redacted] who supplies my card that I will no longer use that card for booking travel as there trip cancellation interuption insurance is impossible to make a claim .I have a [redacted] card which I have had to claim travel interuptions with very easy & fast process .Other consumers need to be made aware of allianz method of operation when it comes to customers making claims .I see on the Revdex.com site I am not alone dealing issues with your trip cancellation interruption support .To that end I fully expect to get the run around from you like all the other allianz agents I have wrote or spoken with & can only hope others will not pay for a credit card trip cancellation support from Allianz .

get the information from the ticket supplier. The insurance is only refundable within 10 days of purchase. The ticket supplier also references the insurance purchase in the purchase email sent to the consumer. “Thank you for adding Event Ticket Insurance to your order. This claim has been filed since May and that should be enough time to complete the verification. Global alliance has requested the same documents over and over and I should not be the one suffering from their mistakes. This claim needs to be resolved immediately.
