Daniel M[redacted], a Parker & Sons, Inc. HVAC service technician, answered my preventative maintenance service call. He was knowledgable and represented his employer in a very positive manner. After he completed his primary inspection and preventative maintenance, he gave me viable, cost conscious suggestions that were commensurate with my financial means. I will schedule future, non-emergency, service calls around Daniel's availability.
I called about a food disposable unit. They were there in less than an hour. They gave me an estimate for a new one with installation. I said OK, when can you install. He said right now. Now thats service. They also had a guy come out to give me a tune-up on my A/C unit at the same time. That was good cause it did not take two days of my time to get both jobs done. Thank you "PARKER AND SONS".
I've been using Parker & Sons since I moved into my house (3) yrs. ago..I also like the fact that I can have the same technician come to my home each time..This creates a nice relationship & trust..I've always had great experiences with Parker & Sons..
Mike has been taking care of our air conditioner ever since it was installed. He's like a good neighbor!
[redacted] did a great job!
The annual servicing of my heater was between 8am and Noon with their tech, [redacted], coming (promptly) shortly after 8am, which freed up the rest of my day. He was extremely personable and patient in answering my questions. He took extra care in cleaning up after himself; sweeping up any debris brought down from the attic, dusting around the A/C filter vents, and even taking out a small green horsehair air flow filter outside to take 9+ years of dust off (which I never knew needed it). He definitely went above and beyond in his personalized customer service. Kudos to [redacted]! (and the team at Parker & Sons who assigned my call to him) I look forward to continuing to do business with this reputable company.
Mike G. was the technician from Parker & Sons that worked on my air-conditioner. He repaired our unit by replacing the coil. The whole process took around 4 hours. Mike was all business and very easy to understand what he was going to do to the unit to repair it. I will use Parker & Sons from now on. They are the first air-conditioning company I feel I can trust, and I have dealt with many in my time from living in Phoenix for 55 years. Keep up the good work, you have won a customer here.
I would recommend Parker and Sons to friends. I found that the a/c tech. Kenny L. who came to my home was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He certainly was caring, along with his supervisor Tony. After extensive a/c was done I am "cool" and satisfied.
I had a pipe break in the wall behind my shower which caused a flood. Called Parker and Sons and Darrell came right out. He fixed the leak and was very helpful in getting us the further help needed to help dry out the water and do the repairs. He called Dry Force himself and set up for them to get in touch with us. While there he also double checked if we had any other problems that needed fixing. Other family members have used Parker and Sons and we highly recommend the company.
We are very happy with the work Alex A did in our home, including drywall repair and painting. I would recommend him to anyone who needs this kind of work. He is efficient and friendly.
Review: I turned my heat on on December 3rd. On December 5th I became aware that while it was running, it was not heating my house. I have a service agreement with Parker and Sons so I called them during the evening of December 5th to be asked to be called for a replacement the next day. I chose to replace the unit instead of having it serviced because their service personnel had been telling me that it was getting ready to die. On December 6th their sales associate, [redacted], came to my home to discuss replacement. He offered me a price of $6229 for a new unit, $950 for installation (included), $250 for a surge protector, and $325 for a bar type filter 20x25. Because I have the service plan with Parker and Sons I know that I am to receive a discount on goods and services. I asked for the discount and he laughed at me saying, "No, we don't offer one on this, wouldn't that be nice?". Also with my plan comes the guarantee that it will be fixed today or I don't pay, according to their website. I was not scheduled to receive my new unit until Monday, December 9th, leaving me without heat for 72 hours because they could not get a crane to my home the next day. I purchased the service plan because I was told that if my system couldn't be replaced in 24 hours then I would be put up in a hotel. This was not offered to me.
I sought a second opinion on a new system and had a second company come to my home on December 7th. They gave me the same system at a cost of $5000 with no additional charges. I showed the sales associate the invoice from Parker and Sons and asked about the bar type filter. He told me that I already had one and the only reason that it would need replacing is if I wanted it to be the same color as my ceiling. That is not important to me so I declined. I am unsure as to why [redacted] wanted to replace a functioning filter cover with an identical unit. Due to the extreme price difference and the way that I was treated by [redacted] I called and cancelled the order on December 7th. The second company replaced my unit the next morning.
At the conclusion of the installation the new system would not start when the thermostat clicked on. The system worked on the roof so the installer looked at the thermostat that had been installed in June by Parker and Sons. At that time it was revealed that it had not been properly installed and the heat had never been hooked up. It was entirely possible that my old system worked. I had chosen to not have it looked at because I had been told that it was functioning above its capacity and could go at any time. I take responsibility for my decision.
I called Parker and Sons on December 9th to discuss the way that I was treated. I left a message with Monique and provided the times that I was available to be contacted. On December 10th my call was returned and I explained my issues with a service manager and requested that I be refunded for the cost of the thermostat ($187.20) and the cost of my service plan. On December 11th I spoke with Randy, another service manager about my issues. He offered to refund the cost of thermostat. I explained that that was not satisfactory to me. We spoke again on the 12th and he said that he would refund the cost of the thermostat and the cost of my service plan, dating back to its inception. I have yet to be told that amount. He said that someone in accounting had been on vacation and he did not yet have the information. During my conversation with [redacted] I continued to discuss my displeasure with Parker and Sons and how they advertise that they have no Melvins in their company, yet they sent one to my home in June. He stated that in defense of [redacted], the technician who installed the thermostat, most of their thermostats don’t require that a jump be installed to get the heat to work. I explained that that was not my issue; it was their issue to deal with and to train their technicians appropriately.
I spoke with Keith, a vice president at Parker and Sons on December 16th about my issues with [redacted] and how he did not uphold the service plan that I have with Parker and Sons. [redacted] agreed that [redacted] was incorrect in what he told me about the discount and offered to pay me the $150 that I should have been offered. I asked about the hotel that I should have been sent to. [redacted] told me that the way the hotel works is that I am to go to a La Quinta Inn and pay the bill myself, submit the bill to Parker and Sons, who would then reimburse me. This was not explained to me when I purchased the contract and was certainly not explained to me by [redacted]. He did not seem to feel that there was a problem leaving me for 72 hours with no heat. I explained to [redacted] that this was not an acceptable practice and not what was advertised. I purchased the plan because of that feature and it was not allotted to me. I did not stay in a hotel as I was not going to pay for it out of my pocket and did tell this to [redacted] when he asked. He offered to reimburse me for one night’s stay at a [redacted]. I do not feel that this is an acceptable offer and expressed as such. I asked for half of the cost of my new unit and was told that it wasn’t going to happen.
Due to the way that I was treated by Parker and Sons, both by the inept service technician who could not do his job and the sales associate who attempted to cheat me I feel that I should be compensated financially for their issues with hiring Melvins and going against their stated policy of not hiring Melvins.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that the cost of my thermostat be refunded, my service plan be refunded, and I receive monetary compensation for a portion of the unit that I installed that most likely did not need to be installed. This payment would cover the cost of three nights hotel that I would have needed, the discount that I was not offered and payment for my time in dealing with their inept service and sales people.

To Whom it May Concern:We met with the homeowner on Thursday, December 19th and we have agreed to a settlement to resolve her concern/complaint. She has agreed to rescind her formal concern.Thank you.[redacted]Director of Service Operations
Parker & Sons, Inc. recently did my semi-annual inspection at my home in Chandler on 10-8-13 and as usual did a wonderful job! My service technician [redacted] was very thorough and found one part that needed replacement, called it in on my [redacted] warrantee and received permission to replace at no charge. He then completed the rest of the inspection in a timely manner and went over the results with me before leaving! Great job, [redacted]--Thanks again. [redacted].
We have used Parker and Sons for all of our HVAC and plumbing needs since we moved to Phoenix area. While they are not the cheapest contractor available they are very effective and professional. As a contract customer with them, they have always been very prompt whenever we had a problem that needed quick attention no matter the time or day of the week. Their technicians are well trained and honest, never trying to sell us something we don't need but always making rational recommendations to improve our systems and energy efficiency.
I have been a customer since at least 1993. Due to their excellent customer service and money saving plans, I have chose them to purchase and maintain my central air, soft water unit, osmosis unit, hot water heater and various plumbing needs. They have never let me down and are extremely flexible. The time I had an emergency issue with my central air over a holiday, they had options for me to chose from and get it fixed ASAP. I have become loyal because being taken care of when needed is most important to me along with quality work! Their technicians are superior.
Very Responsive. True professionals. Honest and trustworthy.
Excellent job by [redacted]. He fixed my plumbing problems professionally and explained what he did. His 21 years experience showed. He also had a good personality to work with.
Recently had crew replace heating and cooling system. The entire process proceeded like clockwork and the quality unsurpassed.
We have been using Parker & Sons for all our heating/cooling/plumbing issues for over 10 years. They are always prompt, professional and courteous. They do not try to oversell other products. We have been very satisfied, and will continue to use them going forward.
I do not like the way they talked to me on the phone when I brought up the fact that I think that they should pull those commercial and big boards that reference the name" [redacted] " to be useless [redacted] person..they had no desire to take any initiative for my call or address their sorries on the matter.
Parker and Sons always provide great service and customer satisfaction. [redacted] is a very efficient technician who arrives on time, always with a smile. We highly recommend this company because they are professional from the initial contact with the customer service rep to the completed job with [redacted] makes sure we understand the work that he completed. When he recommends an additional service we do listen. Thanks for being a company we trust.
