*** *** *** Dear Mrs***, The repair on this customers home has been completedThe drywall and access panel is completed. Thank You, Bob G*** Marodna Homes
We do not accept the response by Maronda. In reference to our walkway, we would like action to be taken by replacement. According to the Maronda Homeowner's Guide, in the Maintenance Manual section under "Walks, Porches, and Steps", it states: "It is the policy of Maronda Homes not to replace or repair concrete with cracks 1/inch or smaller (in width or depth)." Our steps sank 3/4" to 1" in both width and depth. Someone came to our home without our knowledge and filled in the gap with CAULKING. This is an unacceptable attempt to repair the situation. In addition, our neighbors (who closed on their homes after us) stated that the sales office and production supervisor told them we would be receiving a new walkway. We have witnesses who heard this statement. Our walkway is not just for our home, but to keep the unity of all townhouse units the same. We would like something in writing stating what is going to be done. We had our month inspection and the service person who conducted it said that the walkway was unacceptable. In regards to our driveway, again the service person who came out for our month inspection said the driveway was unacceptable and does not match the neighbors in the next townhouse units. Maronda's prints may be "correct" but in real life (not on paper) it is still not functional in terms of turning/maneuvering in and out of individual driveways. As we were outside with the service person two other neighbors came out to voice their concerns about the safety of the driveway in the winter and its ability to not be functional on a daily basis. The service person advised all of us to continue complaining until the issue is resolved. He stated that extra asphalt can be added to create the width needed to prevent anyone from having to drive through the lawn. Our driveway is already deteriorating on the left side due to repeated driving off the driveway and into the yard. I pulled a few chunks of driveway out this past weekend. Service person agreed that when winter comes it would create a safety issue--we have one narrow lane in which to exit the plan and are concerned about where snow will end up when plowed. There is also a steep dropoff and if we do not have proper asphalt, someone could accidentally drive over this and injure themselves.

Hello Jennifer We are still having issues with Maronda homesBob and Mike came out and cut three holes in my drywall on Wednesday July to see if they could find out where the water was entering my house fromOn the 20th Mike came back and said he fixed the leakHere we are September and I still have the holes in my drywall. When they were here on the 19th Bob said he was going to put in a service request for the carpet company to come and fix my exposed tack strips and fraying carpetI've asked what the status has been several times with no response from anyone. Lastly, the new plan foreman Joe had one of his laborers in my yard all day and filled a gallon bucket full of glass and debrisThen a week later Bob and another "yard manager" came out to look through my yard and said, " well I don't see any glass"Well I would certainly hope not since they just had a guy there for hours picking it all out by handI told them that it would surely return after a couple of rainy daysSure enough it rains and I have glass all throughout my yard againTHIS IS A HAZARD!!! There are so many rocks, tree branches and glass in my yard that I cant even let my kids have funThe whole yard needs redoneAll of the old topsoil needs removed and new soil and seed needs brought inAnd I don't want the Maronda topsoil that I am currently having problems withI want topsoil from an actual landscape supplier. Thanks*** ***

Dear Mrs*** Maronda Homes has been able to review the issue and found the issue due to minor settlementI have attached a copy of the engineer report provided by the homeowner for referenceWhile report does state there has been some settlement due to an unknown cause, the porch is safe
for useMaronda Homes is willing to monitor the settlement according to the report by adding reference marks or settlement monitor if possible to do so on siteIt does not appear to be any structural damage to the home or stoop.Thank You,Bob G*** Maronda Homes
Dear Mrs***, I was able to pull the information on the homeowner and furnace issueThe malfunction in the unit in May was due to a dead bird(s) in the pipe and inducer motor, and not to a faulty instillationI have attached a copy of the invoice for your records from our HVAC
companyThe home was purchased septof and the one year warranty has expiredWe have found no other complaints with the furnace in that time frame other than the one complaint which was caused by the bird(s) I am willing to send our HVAC company to the home again if needed, but would result in a billable call to the homeowner. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Maronda says, "we were able to return to the house to address these issues." First of all, they showed up to my house without any notice, which was very unprofessionalMy wife was home with our two little kidsI was at workShe didn't know what specifically to tell them to fix, though they should've known what to fix. That being said, they did assess the water leak above the front door, but that was itThey did determine it was coming through the window above the door, but how do they know for sure it's coming through loose or cracked caulking? What if it's actually coming through the sides of the window because the window wasn't installed properly? The water leak has been an issue since our moinspectionI thought Maronda caulked the window at that timeWhy then did water continue to pass through? If Maronda comes to our home and caulks the window and water still passes through, what will they do then? Will they return and actually fix the problem? And wow do I know that there isn't water damage? I'd like them to actually assess this and make sure the water isn't passing through somewhere elseWhy don't they caulk the window and then once it dries douse it with water and see if water still passes through? While Maronda was at my home, they told my wife that in regards to the floor, they'd have to go look at the plans of the house and see where the joists are and that they would return later in the weekWell, they never returned, and when I tried calling the service manager, he didn't answer nor return my callI called twice and left two messagesAgain, this is very unprofessionalThat being said, I do want Maronda to come to my home and fix the floor squeaks as they explained in their responseHowever, I don't see this is a "courtesy" considering these floor squeaks have been occurring since my moinspection and they are more severe than your average floor squeak.Lastly, Maronda completely ignored my other concern, namely the garage doorI expect them to take a look at the garage door and assess whether it is properly installedAs I said in a previous response, there is gap between the weather stripping and the garage door, allowing for cold air to pass through during the winter monthsMy garage is freezing cold during the winter and this affects the rooms directly above the garage and ultimately the temperature of my houseI expect this to be fixed as well.Regards,
