Looking forward to find better service!!!
Very,very bad service!!!
Worst ever. Run. Fees very bad. I just laugh at myself for signing up with them. My worst decision in business.
This is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. If you value your business, money, time and sanity you will go to literally ANY OTHER BUSINESS out there.
I have been trying to call this company for 2 weeks and no one has answered. Some company stole nearly $1000 dollars from my account and the only thing I got back from first data was a letter saying the company said I owed them so they denied my request. This is the craziest thing I have ever heard. If I do not authorize a payment to a company I don't do business with how does my bank come to the conclusion I owe them. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with . No way possible should any company be able to snatch $1000 dollars out of my account. I used this company thinking it will protect its consumer. But it has only protected the business That stole my money... and the hardest thing is.. The number they gave to call has not called me back after several messages...... try and see 18663186247 ext 25338.... you will go to a voicemail after one ring and never get a message back
with 43 negative response how do you have an A+ rating.. Thats businesses pay the Revdex.com to be on their website..
Unfortunate Extortionists lazily in bed with banks. Several years ago when contracted to help build an investor/friend's company, we set up a Merchant Account via Wells Fargo. Since the owner was out of the country, I signed all the (First Data) docs in the Wells Fargo office. It was never directly disclosed that I personally would be on the hook for the contract. When the owner ceased funding the growth of the company and subsequently folded it, First Data came after me for the balance of the contract (equipment lease) and it is still showing as a negative settlement on my credit report.
I am now legally disabled, which has caused my business to fail and this company has no heart. They want $3000 from me to end the contract when I barely have enough money to eat and heat my home. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was connected to a collection agency. I have never once used the service, yet I must continue to pay over a hundred dollars a month. The terminal is still in the box. The contracts are air-tight. Don't sign one unless you have business insurance that will pay them if you are disabled.
This company sent me a collection letter but I've never done anything with them and do not even have a point of sale. I called in to ask where the letter came from and the lady told me if I didn't have it not to worry about it and hung up on me.
have only been with 1st data for a month and their service has almost destroyed our business with several clients. been in business since 1979 and they put us threw hell. going back to paypal where you get your funds in 20 minutes and no games or surprise monthly fees . paypal takes the fee right up front before they send you your funds promptly within 20 minutes
This company is horrible. They have held over $60,000 in payments since last week. All because of a large amount one of our customers used his AMEX for. A completely legitimate purchase that for some reason just didn't show up...or any payments after it! When I called and got the run around they said "we were going to call you". Tomorrow will be a full week and no resolution. In the meantime, vendors, subcontractors can not be paid. "Curtis" is apparently the highest ranking analyst in the world as he will not give me a supervisors name, instead says things like "I will get to it when I get to it".
This is how they treat a small business owner that has over $2M in charges in a single year. Some customer service.
I get a crappy service and have to pay it so radiculous told them in the beginning at&t does not work in my salon should of stuck with square so many hidden fees with this junk .... I wish they didn't send me to collections when I returned the device
This company is radiculous 700 dollars huh I sent the machine back and I'm still entitled done being nice
The worst merchant company very expensive and hard to deal with they are not friendly costumers at all they dont care about their clients
When they call, the phone display does not show that it's First Data so I took the first call and, as usual, asked them to send the information in and my bookkeper can review it when she has time. A couple days later Matthew called and he did identify himself as First Data at which point I told him that we had already gone down that road with his company and decided against it. At this point Matthew told me that those other guys were "***" - excuse the language - and that he could offer us the best deal. I told him that my bookkeeeper was the person who determined whether it was a good deal or not and that, based on how many credit card payments we receive via phone, other companies have never come up with a substantially better deal. Eventually he agreed to call back.
When he did call back, my bookkkeeper told him she was busy and eventually she had to hang up. Matthew then proceeded to call back and tell her that I - the manager - required her to speak to him so she hung up again. He then proceeded to call back over and over demanding to speak to me. When I got off the phone call I was on while the incessant phoning was going on, I toild him that he was unlikely to ever get our business with that kind of behaviour and I had to hang up on him too because he wouldn't stop talking.
Can I go negative on this rating by any chance?
Worstttttttttttttttttttttttttt Company ever ever, never use this people they came to me made switch to them telling me sweet little lies after 1 Month using their only platform, they froze my account holding, listen to this $76.532.00 and they won't release it until 6 months, if you very want to keep doing business NEVER USE FIRST DATA AS A MERCHANT. We are working we a lawyer to sue them.
I have owned a convenience store for about 8 months now and I have had credit card processing with First Data since then. All I wanna say is that, it has been a nightmare. They deposit the settlement money on time and I have no problem with that but what they deposit is just astonishing. When I cross reference my merchant service statements with my bank statements, I have found that every month, there is a discrepancy in the two numbers i.e, that the amount that is supposed to come to my account after all fees has been taken out is always short of what it says in the statement. It has gotten so bad that I am missing thousands of dollars right now and I have to constantly call them up. Only this week, I have called them 3 weeks and I have gotten 3 different answers from 3 different people that I talk to. I just don't know if they are support people are bad at doing math or they just don't know how to look up things. If I could do it again, I would have gone with some other merchant service. My plan is to settle the money that they owe me and find another merchant service because I need to concentrate on my business and not be on the phone with first data 3 hours a day to get my point across.
First Data has been charging my organization more than $112 per month for many years, even though I had proved to them with paperwork on many occasions that the account had been cancelled. Fortunately I filed 2 complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau which helped resolve the situation. And now it appears Revdex.com has also been looking into First Data. As of today I have been told I would receive a refund by the end of this week. Thanks Revdex.com!
Not a company I want to be with ever again. The money I have lost isnt have of what I am concern about. It's the professionalism. Rob in the fraud investigation department hung up on me numerous times. The people under him do not even return your calls. I am simply trying to get the money I lost back. I wish I could rate a zero star cause that's what this company deserves in my book.
After much contemplation, I've realized going with First Data as a merchant was the biggest mistake of my life. Lots of hidden fees that are never disclosed, there is no structure or system in place, this place is a circus. You will be promised calls back from a "risk manager" that will never happen, and they will hold funds ransom for no disclosed reason. Franc1ne in the "risk dept." threatened to completely freeze our account because we were not happy with her holding our funds ransom. I'm filing a suit against this excuse of a merchant service, as well as Franc1ne H.
