Dear Friends, please do NOT USE THE SERVICES OF THIS COMPANY , we have been scammed and we wanted to save as they offer cheaper services, but it turn to be they are cheap , very very cheap company. We deeply regret for using their services.
Hopefully we sort out our issue with our clients, not to loose our reputation, then we will take legal actions agains this company who is supposedly "Bank of America Merchant Services"
This is the worst credit card companies ever. They promise one thing and then do another. I have been charged fees that don't even make sense. I have read hundred of reviews saying how horrible this company is and how much money customers like myself have been charged. I want to know if any of these customers have been able to get there money back? How is this company still business??? This company should be shut down. They should not be able to keep doing this to small business. What can I do to get my money back?? Anyone that can help. Please contact me 856-381-9021. I don't want to First Data to send a auto reply saying to contact them. I tried that several time and they do nothing but lie. They dot even deserve and one star.
They ripped my company off they charged me $149 for application fee and they charge fees on top of more fee plus more fees, they charge more then you process. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company RIPOFFS
This place is a scam
Being a wife of a 24-year military veteran and a new retailer, I wished I had seen the Revdex.com complaints prior to purchasing our Clover Mini and merchant services with Bank of Ozarks/First Data Merchant Services. Two months have gone by and I have yet to receive a response from our representative of the excessive fees and unauthorized/services not rendered taken from our account by First Data. We were told that the fees would be taken, per transaction as they occurred, not in 5 page report in which you would require a CPA to decipher for you other than the obvious "monthly charges." I am now paying double, if not triple the fees I once paid to PayPal!!! I have to agree, the customer service is not there and to read the HORROR stories of others only leaves us terrified of just how much more they intend to take from us. To date, we have been charged a monthly fee of $19.90 for the past 3 months for a service we have not signed up for and cannot get a return call.
FirstData acquired the company that had done my credit card processing the past 10 years. My fees increased 500% on the same volume of business. When they turned over my account to Ignite (same Fl address) the fees increased further. All the required technical upgrades required you contact a salesperson at Ignite, same for PCI compliance. They over-charged me at least $5000
I have not used there machine they leased me in over 2 years or there merchant company for services, I've tried canceling the lease and even sent back the machine but they say they didn't receive it and will not cancel the lease, they have been charging me for over 38months for $50 a month when I haven't used there services or there machine in over 2 years. I don't have your machine, its not worth $2400 in a million years. Stop charging me for a service Im not even using.. I've spoken to 10 different people over 1 week and they will not do anything to help you, they just give generic responses about how they will not cancel or help other than you pay them an enormous buy out fee.
This company is horrible! Stay away! They are impossible to get on the phone. They lie about some of the charges. The worst company ever to deal with, they scam everything there is.
Predatory sales tactics lead into terrible terms on their leases. They completely blow you off upon calling in because I'm sure they get yelled at EVERY DAY. This is a classic case of a large company not caring about the customers because you HAVE to work with them. Bank with Wells Fargo and they'll sell you, come on-site to sell you but cancelling is like a maze. And at the end of the maze, you CAN'T cancel without either hurting your credit while paying 80% of your bill or paying your entire lease in a lump sum. OH THANK YOU First Data!! What a customer friendly business you've got.
Seriously, if you're a SMB, FIND ANOTHER WAY. Also, clarify with your bank who you're getting your equipment from. Wells Fargo made it seem like Clover provided the equipment and that's who I would talk to. Clover is good. First Data is not.
Money network is a Scam and they are holding over 7000 of my refund money and have received all of my information required to prove who I am and received my fax I've waited the 24 to 48 hours its been 3 days the hold has been on my account strangely 200 is missing out of my refund amount and when I talked to a representative he hung up on my wife after authorising her to speak on my behalf they pulled up my files and approved them but the compliance department has yet to update the hold . I'm making arrangements to sue money network now they are a scam and tell you lies around lies they got my bills on hold on all. Me and my wife will never use Money Network Cards with a job are to receive our funds to again. I know my rights and caught the representative in a lie when I mentioned my lawyer he hung up the phone in my face TERRIBLE CUSTOMERS SERVICE I'm glad I was recording my conversations with them on my phone. I'm proceeding and taking them to court and I will be requesting for pain and suffering because of them holding our money we have been evicted I have 2 small babies.. I NEED MY MONEY I WANT MY MONEY
worse company to work with in 2 month I have much trouble with sales and security team blocking my transactions I have to close my account...very poor respond and support from this company and no way to have complain department so they can look into just need to get merchant and customer money from transaction and fill up their pockets. I will go to SQUARE with more transaction money compare to this dump company.
Spend every day no of calls and left vm but no reply and when I get it still no proper answer from them for my issue and when they need to take out money they take it in 1 day as fee but for reversal or refund take 2 week even though I have to prove myself that they charge my bank account as they don't keep record on their end and paid for service few for mistake made by their support person.
I own a Travel Agency and was introduced to FirstData through one of my clients who knew the sales representative for FirstData. There was a lot of false and misleading info and claims made by the sales rep(i found out the hard way after signing the contract). The customer service and management at First data is below ZERO. I wish there was negative rankings on the charts. They never respond back, They never seem to know who is responsible for different claims and it seems to me that it is a fraudulent company which uses any possible excuse and tactic to delay solving the issue. I have been promised a call back since October of 2017 and have contacted every possible number and department that I could get my hands on and nobody cares to pick up the phone and help. The sales Rep simply disappeared and not responding to my calls and I have been waiting for my device to be changed for 3 months now. At this point I am not allowed to cancel their services because of the very high cancellation penalty(which was supposed to be 0.00 according to the salesperson). They are much more expensive than the competitors(I was promised to get a much better rate comparing the company I was using before). absolutely no customer service.
I have leased equipment with First Data where the lease period is up. I was sent a notice of where to send the equipment. I noticed the serial number did not match the serial number on the equipment I had so I called the number listed. After a few phone calls later I was told that to change the number on file I would have to get a hold of the merchant service company to send a swap form with the correct number on it before I could return the equipment. I tried to contact my merchant service company Securis, who buy the way have changed their name, where I left several messages over a couple of weeks with no call back. I then called First Data again and they had a different number for my merchant service company so they called it while I was on the other line. I was then connected with the merchant service company and the customer service agent sent me an email with the correct serial number and the email showed that they had also sent it to First Data. When I called to make sure they had received the email with the correct serial number they said they could not find the email, so I emailed it to them. When I called them back again they put me on hold for a very long time to fine this email. Finally they said they found the email and that it would take some time for them to update the information into their system. Mean while they keep charging me $150.63 for this equipment of which I sent back because I was tired of the run around. Two months later it still is not resolved and they are still charging me $150.63 each month. It seems to be in their benefit to not resolve this issue so I guess my only recourse is to file a law suite and it will be a class action lawsuit and we will find other businesses who have the same problem and will be able to find other issues with First Data as well.
I signed up for Wells Fargo Merchant services last year and was subsequently entered into a leasing agreement with this business for the credit card terminal I needed. After only two uses and about 10 months of payments which far exceeded the credit card revenue I collected I tried to cancel. It was then that I wa told I could either continue to pay full price every month, pay in full in one lump sum, or go find someone myself that needed a terminal. Ohh, and even if I found someone that needed a terminal, I would be responsible if they didn't pay for the next two years! Wow! I sold cars for a living and even with cars if you transfer a lease you have transferred the lease. This company has a very unfavorable contract towards businesses and the vendor they used in this case, Wells Fargo, hid the terms very well. The least this company could have done is helped me get this to another business to use and take over the payments. Now I am going to just blast my story across the internet and if I can impact so much as one lease, it cost first data more than it was worth to choke me out.
This issue was resolved quickly and to my satisfaction by the Business.
First Data Merchant Services is very misleading I never activated the device they sent me that was free then out of no were they started taking funds out my account. every time I call them the same guy answer the phone acting like he is someone else I only gave them my tax id number some how they got hold of my ss number. when I ask about that they took me on the run around. this company is no good at all so beware very dishonest misleading. they just sent me a letter saying I owe them $278.15 my account was closed two months ago .this company is a scam at its best beware .

Data is a company full of useless people. They don't call back, they don't listen, they are apologetic to script about their short comings. I was happy to tell a customer today to initiate a fraud claim against these people because of their incompetency answering questions. Their "specialist" who called me didn't even know what business I represented and tried to consistently talk over me. This is a heartless rude company and if Could not accept plastic an survive I would. Im definitely shopping for new service. I think a loan shark would care more than these clowns!
I was told by the rep that clover by first data was capable of meeting my needs. The Rep showed me all the wonderful aspects of the system and then touched on what I need it do. I trusted him. Over two years later, I am still operating out of two and paying for systems because it does not meet my needs as a service provider. I can see how it works great for strictly retail but not ideal for booking and tracking services. I was so bummed and of course 2 years ago I was told I could "buy out" the lease for over $3,000 even though I was lied to about it's capabilities. Fast forward to no longer being able to deal with having to work out of two systems, I called again. I have 21 months left and they said I could return the equipment and pay the remainder of the lease. Return it so you can re-lease it to another sucker and still charge me the remainder of the lease??? Is that even ethical?
I have never left a negative review in my life! I am sick over this. Making this poor decision because of a shady sales rep has cost my small business just over $2,500 and counting. By the end of the lease it will double. I will never use first data or clover. Poor business practices.
I have a business that was sold in June of 2016 and had some additional collections that were received until January 2017 (a total of 3 transactions after October 2016). My business manager contacted First Data on several occasions (after February 2017) and spent hours trying to get the account closed. He was told they would not be able to help him even though he set up the account initially and due to other circumstances I was not able to spend the hour that it took to finally speak to a supervisor to discuss my concerns until December 2, 2017. I was told by the representative I spoke with that the headquarters for the business where in Maryland in contrast to the web site address and the address on the electronic billing statement I finally was able to obtain. I asked to cancel the account once and for all and will see if that is able to be done as requested, but I was told that the current month (December) changes would be billed even though there has been no activity since January 2017. I expressed that the best business practice would be to refund any charges from November and not to bill for the month of December but was told in no uncertain terms that they could care less if I was not satisfied because I was canceling my service anyway and that to squeeze another almost $100 in fees was meaningless to them. George was the supervisor to whom I spoke. It is almost mandatory to have credit cared services as a business owner but I would strongly encourage anyone to try to find another processor; the fees associated with this company are high and the service is extremely poor.
Up until now, I've been fine with First Data, no complaints. Two months ago I saw a charge for $48.31 and another charge in November for the same amount directly to my bank account. I spent three hours on the phone on Sunday with various representatives telling me it was for an app or a Clover device, neither of which I have. Today I was told that the charge is for Tier I Encryption on my terminal and that I cannot opt out. I didn't order it, nor do I think I need it! I am a very small business, and frankly, I think this argument that I *needthis because I am a small business is them trying to recoup some lost revenue because my sales have declined over the past few years from their "minimum" of $10K a month. When I go online, I see that I can get Clover security for $19.95 a month, so why am I being charged $48.31 a month?! I cannot reach anyone who will do anything for me, so I am on the lookout for yet another credit card vendor who will not arbitrarily start charging me for something I did not order! I don't even think it's legal to charge people with something they didn't order. Isn't this called "fraud"? And really, shouldn't credit card companies be encrypting information anyway? Why do I have to pay an additional fee, over and above the high rates already charged to process credit cards? This has all the feelings of a scam, as it's something I cannot see, cannot verify, and didn't order. They said it was "activated" on the back end and that they notified me in writing. I never recall being notified of a $48.31 monthly charge for this supposed encryption, and it in fact raises my credit card fees by more than 25%. I feel as if companies like this prey on small business owners who do not understand the ins and outs of their agreements and how processing works. I was heretofore happy with First Data but now stand among those here who have filed complaints.
In 2016, I started receiving notices from this company stating that there were chargebacks I needed to attend to. I immediatly called First Data Merchant Services concerning this issue because I did not have any clue of what was going on since the comany name on the documents was one I knew I had not even started. Once I finally got ahold of a rep, I was informed after explaining that I in no uncertain terms did not own the company they stated I owned and operated that they could not talk to me or discuss this matter with me since this was not my account, and was hung up on. When I called back I got another rep, who gave me the number for Clover and said I needed to file a report with them and have them open a ticket. The rep at Clover was very helpful and also let me know that these transactions were all hand keyed into the machine in the state of California. And even told me that the machine was sent to an address in the state of California. (I already knew I never received any equipment, nor did I authorize this account to be opened) After explaining that I have lived and worked in Jefferson City since 2000 and have not left the state to go anywhere near the state of California a ticket was put in through Clover for fraud and they closed the account. Meanwhile I continued to get statements of charge backs from this company and contacted them by phone again several times and even gave them the ticket number that was put in by Clover. I just got the run around, Customer reps telling me I had to rectify the issue and return the customer's money. Then I started receiving notifications to dispute these transactions, since phone calls were not getting me anywhere, I faxed everything including proof of my residency for the last 17 years, who I spoke with, how many times and dates I called as well as the dates and times I faxed over the information. I still received more information. After doing research myself into business registration, I found the name of the company that was on my statments registered in the state of California, and not in my name (go figure), and a I mailed copies of all documentation proving this was opened without my knowledge and clearly a case of fraud and identity theft plus a letter explaining to the President of the company what I have endured in trying to get this cleared up. I thought that was all done since it's been almost a year since I received anything else from them until today 11/28/2017 when I received a notice from First Data Merchant Services stating that they needed a substitute w-9 form because the TIN/account name was incorrect (no kidding, since it's not my account) and if this wasn't taken care of by 12/27/207 my taxes would be withheld. I will be contacting the IRS tomorrow to put a fraud alert on this account and hopefully getting this straightened out with them (even if it means faxing them copies of everything including my letter to the president of First Data Merchant Services). I am am wanting to get this resolved, have First Data Merchant take anything off my credit that they may have reported and close this account. I am willing to contact an attorney and take everything to them to have them deal with this company if this is not resolved.
