Our records indicate that a complimentary Experian(R) Credit Score along with a trial membership in Freecreditreport.com(R) was ordered on January 25, utilizing a Visa with the last four digits Since the complimentary trial membership was not cancelled in accordance with the published terms of our offer, the card provided was charged our monthly membership fee on February 24,
Additionally, our records show that you contacted CIC on November 21, and stated that you are the holder of the Visa, did not open the account in question and believed that the order was fraudulently placed with us by a third party utilizing your VISAIn response, CIC cancelled the membership, issued a refund of $plus $sales tax for a total of $on November 21, to your Visa
Since you believe that the order was fraudulently placed with us by a third party, we encourage you to file a police report and to watch your accounts carefully in the event of other fraudulent use

The Experian automated response is partially accurate we did sign up for a "free" Credit report but did not request enrollment on a continual basis Their website was at best confusing and unclear as to what we were signing up for It is very easy to put a lot of information on the screen that is not prominentWhen loo*** at their site the button to enter the site is prominent while the details are in small print and easily missed thus causing an unsuspecting consumer to sign up for an ongoing subscriptionI asked them for a complete refund for every month they charged us except I did offer to n pay the first month of the "free" credit report I will still agree to pay for one report but I am not satisfied with a partial refund
