Hi,Thank you very much for reaching out to us.  CardCash's primary focus is to please our customers. CardCash is a secondary gift card marketplace enabling consumers to buy, sell, and trade their pre-owned unwanted gift cards. Safeguarding and protecting our customers is our top priority....

Therefore, CardCash offers consumers a 45 day buyer protection guarantee. This way they can feel secure to shop on the marketplace and take advantage of all the great savings. However, we can only extend this guarantee for customers who contact us within 45 days of their purchase. A limited guarantee period is very common on every marketplace in every sector. Ebay, for example, offers a 30 day buyer protection guarantee. CardCash, is very clear about the guarantee time-frame and posts it prominently in numerous places on the website, includes it on a insert in our mailers, and in the terms and conditions on the site which users accept prior to making a purchase. Nonetheless, as a onetime courtesy we will refund by issuing a website credit you.  Please be advised of this exception and of our general policy. We hope you will continue shopping on our marketplace and take advantage of all the great savings.

Hi, The payment has been issued today, 1/4/16, through the method of payment you selected at the time of the sale.

I am rejecting this response because:It does nothing to...

actually address my statements. They are not stating they will remove my credit card information. They are not addressing the fact that they take personal data and then deny transactions and give no reason, almost like they want people to just go elsewhere and leave their personal data behind. Or they are just massively incompetent.

Hi,I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you.The cards don't expire. What we stipulate on our site is that we guarantee the cards up to 45 days from the date of purchase. After the 45 day period, the cards are still fine and can be used, however due to the nature of the secondary...

market, some cards will occasionally go bad.

HI,  CardCash has tried to refund this transaction on 12/22. A dispute has been opened on your [redacted]. We are going to resolve the claim through [redacted]

Hi,Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have forwarded the additional information to our claims department who will issue a refund.[redacted]

Hi,[redacted] has assured us that this has been taken care of. There is no way for me to check the veracity of their assurance aside from having a confirmation from the customer.Has the refund hit the customer's account?Jeremy

We made a payment to the customer but the money was returned by the bank, which likely means the information was input incorrectly on our site. Please send me the correct bank information so we can resend the payment.

to complaint ID [redacted] Card Cash eventually did send me the check, but I want to note that the check was only received and ISSUED after the original complaint Business Bureau complaint was filed.   Without this complaint being filed with the Revdex.com I highly doubt I would have ever received the check.  It was not a pleasure working with Card Cash and I will NOT do it in the future.  My issue is resolved and I consider this matter closed.

Hi,We processed the refund again today. I apologize for the delay.[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:It does not state ANYWHERE on my printout of my gift card that it expires at any time, will become a fraudulent card at any time, is at risk of having no funds at the time of use, has a 45 day period of use, has a guarantee of funds for 45 days and then will not from day 46 on. However, it does state the following 4 directions on my gift card: 1. print out this gift card2.find a store3.present this printout at time of purchase4.enjoy your extra savings! It does not state "we, as a fraudulent business, will take your money and then scam you by sending you an invalid gift card and then claim that we protected you for 45 days and not warn you that the gift card will not be valid after our bogus protection plan."Regards,

Hi,I do apologize for this issue. Despite the fact that this is past our 45-day guarantee we can make an exception and offer a website credit for the purchase amount. We will send it to the email we have on file.

Hi,As a gift card reseller we allow customers around the country to sell us their unwanted gift cards for a percentage of the actual value of the card.As part of the sell process we check the balance that is available on the card. When the order in question was put through our system we checked...

the balance of the card and found it only contained $3.19 instead of the $250 that the customer had originally claimed. As per policy we denied the sale and did not take ownership of the card.Upon receiving the customer complaint falsely alleging that we used the card balance we reached out to [redacted] and confirmed that the card balance had actually been used on 7/22/2017, the day before the customer put through the order on our site. The customer has either used the balance herself or has had her balance stolen by a third party, either way we can emphatically state that CardCash would never use the balance of a gift card and then deny the order.

Hi, I apologies yet we are very clear about our 45 day guarantee period policy. At this time we will issue you a $15.00 website credit.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I filed a complaint against Card Cash, which you have now closed.  Are you aware that Card Cash is selling gift cards that are fraudulent?  Why would you continue to allow that to happen? We've purchased from Card Cash many times in the past for McDonald's Gift cards, ect, and those gift cards were legitimate, and we were able to use them. After having this problem with the Ross gift card that my wife purchased, from speaking with Ross Corporate office in California, that gift card that we purchased from Card Cash was for an item that was returned to a Ross store on February 4th, 2016.  That is why the gift card wasn't a card, but a piece of paper, folded with a sticky back to it. Ross corporate policy is that gift cards issued to customers for returned items can not change hands.  The person who returned the item must use the gift card.  When that person sold that card to Card Cash, who in turn sold it to us, we were violating Ross policy, and the transaction was fraudulent. The $49.28 balance on that gift card account, which Ross closed, were frozen and can only be returned to the person who purchased the card. As for Ross gift cards purchased in the store, they explained to me that they don't allow gift cards to be used by others, due to the fact that a customer, using a stolen credit card and fake ID, could purchase a $100 or $200 gift card, sell it for money (to Card Cash or somebody else), until the transaction is reported, and the credit card deactivated. You choosing to not follow up on this is wrong.  Card Cash is knowingly selling gift cards that can not be transferred.  You need to report this to the Attorney Generals office for this matter to be looked into further. [redacted] ([redacted]

Hi,Please be advised that we have received this claim beyond our 45 day buyer protection period. CardCash is a gift card marketplace where millions of sellers can sell their unwanted pre-owned gift cards at a discount. CardCash checks the balance at the time of the listing.  Statistically...

only a very small percentage of our cards have issues where the seller used the gift card or it got canceled after we have checked the balance at the time of the listing.  The percentages are kept very low because of all the proprietary fraud technology and KYC measures CardCash has working behind the scenes. Buying from any Marketplace involves the classical Risk vs Reward decision. Consumers shopping on a marketplace can save up to 35% but will at times receive cards that are invalid or have a balance discrepancy.  This is not something we can control.  However, in order to make our customers feel a bit more comfortable we offer a 45 day buyer protection guarantee. CardCash encourages all of its customers to use the cards within that time period and if they encounter an issue to immediately let us know. We also require that all claims to be submitted to us within that 45 day period as that increases the probability of reaching the original seller and receiving a refund from him or her. In such situations, if CardCash cannot recoup the funds from the original seller it will take the loss as part of its guarantee and issue a refund to the customer. For claims submitted beyond the 45 day period, CardCash will still attempt to request a refund from the original seller but if unsuccessful , CardCash cannot absorb any additional liability and is very clear about this policy all over the website. In your situation, we were unfortunately unsuccessful in recouping funds from the original seller and cannot offer any refunds for this order since it is beyond the 45 day period.   This 45 day buyer protection guarantee is clearly posted on the sidebar of our website. See for example [redacted]in addition it is clearly stipulated in the terms and conditions of the site, which customers accept prior to using our site and making a purchase.  For more information about our 45 day guarantee please see here [redacted] We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you, however at CardCash we firmly believe we took the appropriate steps to alert the customers of our 45 day buyer protection period.
