We did not disturb any possible asbestos containing materialAs such, it is the home owner’s responsibility to have the tile tested at their own cost, and if needed, have the contaminated material abated. We offered to install carpet at a discounted cost, but that was refused by the customerAs such, we canceled the customer’s order and refunded the customer’s deposit payment in full

I am rejecting this response because:- This information regarding the refund is accurateIt has been receivedI did also miss a call from Empire in this regardHowever, their response does not address the fact that they "sold" and accepted payment for a product they do not have and never intend to installThis is particularly concerning as two different sales associated, one in person and one over the phone, sold me this alleged "product," i.etape-down installation.

I am rejecting this response because: After a week they are now not fulfilling the remedy that was
agreed uponMore shady, dispicablec actions by a supposed respectable companyThe runaround, untruths and inconsistencies still continue a year laterWhat an awful regrettable mistake I made choosing to do business with them againIt is unfathanable that a consumer acts in good faith and it's treated so deplorably.
