Alvin helped me with exactly what I needed, I chatted in the other day and an agent told me they did what Alvin did however nothing on my account changed which seems to a trend with Earnin. Sadly, I have to chat in quite often as I am a single mom & am in the process of filing bankruptcy. This app has been such a blessing. However, as a chat agent myself, I have to say that it is so frustrating that it is a rare occasion that I get to speak to agents like Alvin that take pride in the the job that they were hired to do. You should have more Alvin's around. Also, I wish I had the option to buy your bada*** agents a beer. I think what you are doing is AMAZING & saving so many of us from the vulture payday companies. Cheers to your chat agents that give a eff :)
Thank you so much! We appreciate you sharing your experience with our Community Advocates, and we will be sure to send this message along to Alvin.
"I was able to ask for help and received it really quick and easy and my problem was resolved in under 10 mins !! Really impeccable customer service"
We appreciate your review. Thank you for sharing your experience
She solved my issue quickly. Earnin's customer service is the best I have seen or dealt with in a long time!!!
Thank you so much for sharing!
She took my screen shots and corrected my problem timely. Even with 270 people waiting she did not rush me. Great Customer Service."
Thank you for your patience throughout your interaction with our Community Advocate.
App debited my account twice and lowered my max limit by 50 dollars. This has resulted in two overdraft fees and a negative account balance
App took double payments from my account resulting in overdraft fees and a negative account balance. Customer service giving conflicting information and explanations.
App erroneously debited my account twice resulting in overdraft fees and a negative account balance. Customer service chat agents give conflicting information and explanations. Would like an apology and the extra payment plus overdraft fees to be reimbursed
Hello, ***,
We never want our community to have an experience like this, and we are here to help.
It looks like our customer advocates were working on helping with your issue but need some further information to help you fully. Will you reach out again so they can help you resolve this issue?
Thank you!
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have chatted with multiple representatives and I never get the same information and my issue is never resolved.
we certainly do apologize for the experience. We want to ensure that this is rectified, however, we have not received any information from you to show us that the debit from 7/26 indeed did post to your checking account. In addition to that, you stated there were overdraft fees incurred, and we have not received any documentation surrounding those fees.
We definitely want to help correct this situation, however, we do need the necessary documentation to do so.
She helped me when I was so frustrated. She was very kind got me fixed up right away."
We understand there can be frustration when processes don't go according to plan, so thank you for your patience as our Community Advocate helped to resolve your issue.
"Krypton was very helpful. He responded back in a timely manner & answered all my questions. He gave me real answers & real solutions not like those automated messages you'd expect from an online chat room. He definitely deserves a reward. Keep up the good work buddy!"
We are glad you were able to have a productive experience with Krypton. Thank you for sharing your experience with Krypton
Collected payment early, not on pay date.
I have been using this app for years now. Never have I had problems till now. It loans you money and they collect payment on your pay days or on a holiday the day before. I set up my pay cycle for the 10th and 24th of the month because those are my set pay days. I looked at my bank account to see that I was negative $541.33 because of this company. I contacted customer support, they pulled any previous conversations I have had with other agents and they did confirm that those are the days they have saved. Today is the 9th and payment was pulled a day early. Never in any conversations did the agent imply that if the pay day falls on a weekend day that they treat it like a holiday. The customer service agent confirmed that as well. They refused to help rectify the situation because they said my account was negative, which was because of them. So I got no where with the escalation team. This is unfair and I should not be responsible for my negative account and overdraft fees caused by Earnin. I never overdraft my account, ever and they have caused a financial hardship. A stop payment has been conducted with my bank, Chase. As they agree with me that payment should not have been processed a day early whether it being a weekend or not, it should come out on the day scheduled.
They need to fix their mistake and compensate the insufficient funds for the overdraft. I had to miss work because I couldn't afford to put gas in my vehicle due to their negligence.
We have reached out to this community member to provide a resolution towards their concern but have not received a response. We're more than happy to address this and continue to work with this member regarding a resolution should they reach back out to us!
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They have not reached out to me about this matter. They have sent me multiple emails about collecting payment and have not address the problem at hand.
we do apologize for the experience. We have updated your payroll as we've previously informed via email. We were unable to credit the account back due to being unable to set up a time we could debit the funds correctly. We understand that this has now gone past due and certainly do not want this to be the type of experience you have moving forward. We appreciate your support of the Earnin community and do see that the concern should have been corrected with the payroll information.
Excellent service. Very helpful! Definitely made my experience better. Most people that have trouble with it in my opinion probably have some unrelated bank issues. Its always worked for me .
Thank you for sharing your experience with the community, Heather! We really appreciate the feedback!
was attentive and fast and was awesome!!" I use this company often never had any issues with pay back or receiving my money with there lightening speed function I get the requested money the same day!!
Thank you for your awesome response, Malcom! We really appreciate your feedback.
This company debited my account before my payday twice resulting in 4 overdrafts.
On July 3 and August 2 Earnin debited my account before I was paid and that resulted in four overdraft fees that haven't been refunded as I was told they would be. The first time when I reached out in mid July they told me they corrected the issue with my payroll but never offered to refund the fees. This happened again and I researched saw they are suppose to refund fees I reached out again on August 2 was told I had to wait until I was charged fees. Then I was told they would escalate the matter since it happens before and I would hear from a specialist. Reached back on Aug 3 after I was charged fees was told they had to wait until my payroll was deposited and my account was no longer negative in order to do the refund. I was asked to reach back out on Monday when it deposited. I reached out on August 5 and was told they didn't see my direct deposit even thought I sent them screenshot from my banking app and I was told a specialist would reach out. Reached again Monday evening and was told a specialist was working on it and i'd hear something shortly. Hours have gone by and still nothing. Very frustrated at the lack of customer service and the runaround I've been receiving from this company. I have screenshots to backup all of my claims. I would like my refund.
I would the four overdraft fees to be refunded.
We have gone ahead and refunded the overdraft fees that were caused by early debits. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your support of the Earnin Community!
Thank you!
I started using earnin a few months ago and immediately started having issues. My timesheets wouldn't work and government benefits were stolen.
When I started using earnin in June 2019 , I immediately had issues starting with not being able to upload my timesheets. I would constantly have to enter the chat to have an employee manually put it in. After my first cash out , not only did they take the money back on the wrong date because an employee entered my paydate in correctly but they had taken my government benefits which is money for my childs medications. My child is mentally disabled and needs her medication, I immediately contacted earnin via chat and was told that my benefits were my work pay and that I would not be receiving my money. I screenshot the proof that they were government benefits which by law no company can garnish government benefits it is illegal. Finally I was transferred to a manager who said that taking government benefits from my account was illegal and he didn't understand how the app allowed this to happen, but they couldn't pay me back so they gave me a higher daily max to take out the amount stolen. Think that's fair? No because I had to pay back what I was cashing out so I bascially paid them for stealing my benefits. I let it go because I was able to get my childs medication and that's what mattered. A week later, it was two days before my paydate and I was told by my employer that my check would be late so I immediately contacted earnin and explained the situation. They rescheduled the dates for the following week without any issues. On the date I was suppose to be paid I received a benefit deposit, once again it was automatically taken once it hit my account. I contacted them again, after being "disconnected" via chat several times I finally got through to someone and was once again told they would not pay me back. At this point I am owed $294. I explain the situation with my child and they say that there sorry but it isn't there problem once they debit the account they cannot refund. How inhuman can you be? So earnin doesn't care that a mentally disabled child can possibly be in danger due to them stealing the benefits that provides for the medication. Heartless just heartless. I requested to speak to a manager and after a week of them not responding to me, I informed them I would be getting a lawyer because what there doing is illegal and is harming my child. I received a response back within 2 mins, I was informed I would be receiving a $100 credit and that both my bank accounts were no longer be able to be used on earnin. Which I am completely fine with because I no longer wanted an account with them. It has been a week since that happened and out of no where I receive an alert stating my bank account was low, which is impossible because I just received a deposit and haven't used my account. When checking I realize Earnin had stolen another $100 after they had said all my accounts were closed and they could no longer use my bank accounts. That is $400 dollars stolen in just two months, Earnin is a fraudulent company that is scamming people and has endangered my child's life by not allowing to get the medications needed for disability.
I want my money back and justice for my child who had to go through three separate times of not having there meds and being told that it isn't Earnins issue when they are stealing from a disabled child.
Hi there. We apologize for the delayed response regarding this matter. We see that at no point was this community member debited unnecessarily. All debits restored by Earnin were reflective of the community member's cash outs. We also see that her last debit was cancelled on 9/17. In this case, her account was placed under review, as we are unable to accept government benefits as a sufficient form of employment. We apologize for the inconvenience. We see that the community member has uninstalled and ceased use of the app.
Had an answer for my question with an explanation that made sense. Resolved the problem quickly. Pleasure to deal with
Thank you
I requested $50 that was scheduled to be taken on August 5th. Company took the payment on August 3rd.
I requested money from this app in a total amount of $50. One in amount of $10 on July 29, 2019 then $40 on July 30, 2019. The debit was scheduled to be made on August 5, 2019 but it was taken out on August 3, 2019 instead. Causing my account to become negative. When contacted customer service representative said they couldn't do anything since it had already processed and to contact them when the overdraft fee had actually posted. I told the representative that I am not trying to wait for the fee and requested for a manager. The manager showed no effort to resolve the issue. They stated that they did not process debits over the weekend and apologized for the inconvenience and to talk to my bank. I don't see why reversing the funds is an issue. They tried to take their funds 2 days earlier than they should. After stating to the company that people can probably sue them for this the manager made no effort to keep the conversation going. They stated they didn't want me to have this experience and suggested to end the chat. The company is putting me at an inconvenience when I just want the charges to be reversed. I shouldn't have to wait for an overdraft fee or anything of the sort. In their policy it says that if they feel the funds are not available they will not try to charge your about but they did. I'm just trying to avoid waiting a long time to get the funds back when I have bills to pay.
I want the funds they took out back in amount of $50. They can get their money when I actually get my check on August 5th.
We are currently seeing that the amount of $50 posted to the account on 8/5.
When we send debits to the bank, they can sit in a pending status which means that the bank is already holding those funds for an upcoming payment to be posted. Typically, in these scenarios we can credit the account due to the error, and schedule to debit on the correct date.
We were notified of this concern through Revdex.com today so we were unable to ensure that this was corrected prior to the actual posting date. We do apologize for this issue and as it stands now, you're able to continue cashing out at this time.
I've never had such great help from a company service before! Absolutely amazing! I wish every company was more attentive like the helpers of the Earnin app! Keep up the GREAT work!
Thank you for your kind words. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to further improvements to create positive experiences like this for all of our community members.
Ryan was very customer service friendly, polite and courteous. He also resolved my concern in one chat!
We are so glad our team was able to help! Thanks for sharing your positive experience!
My bank statement shows the correct cash out debit of 152$ On 7/31. I withdrew 100$ same day. There are two charges of 100$ that I didn't authorize.
The Earnin company correctly debited my account for 152$ on my payday of 7/31. This 152$ was accrued over the month and that's not my concern. My concern is, I proceeded to cash out 100$ on the same day 7/31 because that's the only time I could continue to cash out due to the balance owed of said previous pay cycle. After the balance was correctly debited on 7/31 I cashed out 100$. In addition, my limit of cash out was only 100$/100$. So that's what I did. I withdrew ONLY 100$. However, the following morning 8/1 I check the app and find out that I have been charged an extra 100$ that I did not authorize. I have bank statements to prove this (my correct debited amount of 152$ and my ONE withdraw of 100$). I only withdrew 100$ and Earnin is claiming I withdrew again when I didn't. If I had made another withdraw (which I couldn't considering my limit was 100/100 anyway) it would show up on my bank statement; it doesn't. So I went to customer service and said there was a problem with my card. I asked what does my card have to do with a random 100$ charge that I didn't and couldn't authorize? They said, "your card activates lightning speed which gives you your money instantly." This doesn't answer any of my questions. My initial concern is the UNAUTHORIZED charge of 100$ that I did not make and proof that I did not make it. Seeing as Earnin doesn't support phone service, this makes things extremely impersonal and as if they are scamming me and then telling me its my fault. As an individual virtually living pay check to pay check I am watching every cent I make like a hawk. If I see any irregularities I report it to said company or institution and then being told it's my fault is completely ridiculous.
I would like Earnin to correct the error of the second withdraw that is an error on THEIR end. Instead of owing already 202$, the correct money that I currently owe is 101$.
We apologize for the experience and understand there was further information necessary. We did attempt to reach out once again as recently as 8/23/19 to determine if there were additional questions or concerns surrounding the scheduling of our debits, however, we have not received a response.
If there are further questions regarding the amounts of each debit or dates the debits were scheduled, please do reach out to our support team.
Thank you!
earnin app tried to take $25 from my account even though I DID NOT borrow money from them and now I got a return fee from my bank putting me negative
I downloaded the Earnin app on July 29,2019 because I needed to borrow money but it wouldn't allow me too because I didn't have a job and only receiving disability. I put my bank account information and debit card into the app but when I found out I couldn't borrow money I immediately deleted the app. Then come today earnin tried to take $25 from my account that I did not have and ended up giving me a return item fee of $36 and putting my account in the negative. I can't get in touch with a representative from Earnin and have only spoken with my bank. For them to tell me they can't resolve the issue that earnin can only and I have no way to get in touch with them. All I want is for my account to be back in the positive like it should of been Earnin had no right to try and steal money from me when I never borrowed money from them. My account is now in the negative of $34.53 and my daughters social security will be taken when it comes on August 3,2019 because of Earnin trying to steal from my bank account please help me.
All I want is for my account to be back in the positive. For Earnin to pay the return item fee that they put on my account and for them never to try and touch my account again.
We have attempted to reach out to this community member, however, there is no response to our emails and we see no history of usage of the Earnin app within their account details.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Earnin is completely lying. They have not tried to reach out to me via email, the only email I have received from them is a email with a rating chart and earnin requesting me to rate one of there customer support team members that I NEVER spoken with named ***. I have no idea why they sent me this instead of reaching out to me about my matter. Earnin has not reached out to me regarding this matter but yet tried to make me rate a support member I've never once spoken with via phone or email. I also have the emails that Earnin has sent me not once trying to speak with me about putting my account in the negative and trying to take money from my account WITHOUT my permission. Down below is the copy and pasted version of the email Earnin sent me and the ONLY email they have sent about this matter. On August 24, 2019 at 2:15pm other then that the only emails I've received about this matter is from the Revdex.com!

It remains that we do not have any information for this community member. We have no bank account information for this community member and would therefore be unable to debit her account.
Almost $300 in earnings have disappeared, and I've been debited on the wrong date, over drafting me.
I had $356 earned in the app as of last night. That dropped to $64 by this morning. On top of which I was charged $150 on the wrong date. For some reason, the app screwed up my pay period and debit date. I get paid bi weekly, the app set my pay period to monthly. So at the end of the month(today) I was charged $150, over drafting me. Now because I'm in the -100 range, I can't cash out any money, for some erroneous reason. I have balance shield and everything (meant to prevent me from getting over drafted). I then had two, thirty minute long, separate conversations with the chat reps, who have given me zero help in resolving this issue (the first of them actually made the situation worse by making me lose another $200 in earnings). The first chat rep fixed my pay period issue, but made me lose almost $300 in earnings. They had ignored almost every question I asked, giving me just a "sorry for the inconvenience" or something along the lines. The second rep was a little more helpful, they actually gave me back the $150, but still would hardly explain what happened to my $300 in earnings. Only that because they pay period changed, so some of my earnings had been removed. Why am I being punished for laziness on their part? I need to pay bills and feed a kid. And their taking money from me and making it harder to access. I thought the whole point of this app was to get YOUR before payday and prevent overdrafts. This app is doing the exact opposite, and making my life just a bit more annoying than it already is.
I want my money back.
We apologize for the error made in debiting. We have issued a refund as of 7/31/19. If there is anything further we can do to ensure there are no additional concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.
Over all my experience has been 5 star worthy with Earnings.
When I've had issues with any part of the process the team has been responsive and now with their chat ability, even better results.
My last rep took the time to read my previous messages. Listen to my concerns one at a time. Gave me additional information I wasnt aware of as a bonus, which was great to know. Resolved all my issues.
I've had issues as mentioned in the red box when you first see this page, but as it states down the line- all my issues, along with their investigation, was on my side or employer. Earning has definitely provided more benefits and saved me a ton in fee so far.
Thanks Earnin
