Our Customer Service Field Tech contacted *** *** on 1/27/and requested an email detailing the outstanding warranty items that needed to be addressed, which he received on 1/30/The tech will have these issues looked into and addressed promptly
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The person who responded to this complaint was NOT present at the time the purchase decision was madeThe cabinet selection was indeed made at the model during our red line meeting with *** (our builder) and *** *** (our sales person)At the conclusion of the red line meeting, *** and I went to the Model to specify locations for some additional switched power outlets to support under and over cabinet lighting I planned to installAt that point, we specifically said we wanted cabinets just like the ones we were looking at in the model which he made note of on the red line drawingsThe selection at the design center was for the door style onlyThe design center didn't even have complete cabinets to look at, but only the door style samplesWe were given the upgrade price and agreed to pay it because we wanted that level of qualityWe NEVER asked them for anything that we weren't willing to pay forUnfortunately, the product that was ordered and installed was not the same qualityRather than having all wood, dove-tail constructed drawer boxes with soft close drawer glides we requested, they supplied particle board drawer boxes that were simply stapled together.When I first complained in December about this to *** *** (who replaced *** our builder) he raised the concern with his supervisor - *** reported back to me that he and *** went to look at the cabinets in the model and both concurred we were victims of "bait and switch"Their words not mineOver the next several weeks, *** assured me on many occasions that they were working on a resolution with Woodmont Cabinet Company and expected replacement wood/dove tail drawers and soft close glides to be providedAfter many conversations and no action, I had to track down ***'s contact info*** really changed his tune when he called meIn so many words, he told me tough luckWe're not doing anything for youThis after nearly weeks of patiently trying to work with them and being assured of an equitable solution

We appreciate the customer reaching out regarding their concernsWe have confirmed with the construction manager that the driveway has been inspected and the noted cracks are under the 1/inch in widthPer the *** warranty manual, the cracks do not meet the dimension threshold for correction
and is a non-warrantable repair
Per the terms of the signed warranty agreement at the time of closing, the customer's one-year warranty expired in April 2016, which was communicated to the customer via email

*** *** first received a formal roof warranty claim in October 2017, after the roof warranty had expiredFollowing the roofing company's assessment, it was determined the shingles were installed correctly and because the damage sustained was due to hurricane-related winds, a repair quote was provided to the homeownerOur previous position on the matter remains unchanged
*** *** will begin work on the community swale tomorrow by bush hogging the area in preparation for the grade work to begin next week. Our land department has been communicating with *** C*** of *** *** *** who has in turn been advising the

on the rear porch, have Strand
Engineering perform an elevation inspection,
re-paint new siding that is installedWe are also working on the drainage
issue with our Land department and the Developer to come up with a solution and
will let Mr*** know when we find it

Immediately after receiving the complaint, our superintendent, Luis
Diaz, contacted Mr*** to see what we need to do to resolve Mr
*** warranty concerns. We are
still in the process of making
things right for the customer and expect that we
will have this issue resolved to hit satisfaction
It looks like our contractor provided service to the customerWe will be more than happy to revisit the customer if they provide our contractor with a time date to inspect and perform any necessary repairs… *** *** *** *** *** *** * *** *** ***
The customer is encouraged to submit their 11-month warranty repair request via the warranty system if any unresolved items remain
D.RHorton is in the process of working with the customer on a flooring replacement for his entire house
We are actively working with the homeowner to address their concerns, including the installation of a new sliding glass door, and we appreciate their patience in bringing this matter to resolution
We are in communication with the customer and the porch is scheduled to be replaced on 12/

To set the record straight: First: the last response to Revdex.com by *** *** of Horton stated that they had "taken several actions to assist Mr*** with his drainage concerns."The reality is that as I previously stated, they engaged in only one action: the placement of 'French Drains' on the sides of my home to alleviate some of the flooding which they claimed was caused by a lawn service using a rider mowerBlaming rider mowers seems to be the 'default position' for this issueAs a life long resident of Florida, I have never experienced the claim that a rider mower was responsible for property damage resulting in flooding nor in my numerous homes have I ever personally witnessed it. Second, Mr, *** claims that "the back yard of his property was checked and we saw no signs or issues within his property lines." Untrue, and under separate and final cover, I will exclusively provide email evidence that this is falseAgain, I once questioned the property borders, but my years long concern was with flooding in areas of my back yard, along with the sides (you have such photos already sent)HR Horton representatives acknowledged such an issue and promised (more than a year ago) that an engineer would come out to inspect it (I was on the list) and I just needed to be patient because things were moving slowlyA specific email will show this. The oft-repeated line by DR Horton representatives that they "went beyond their obligations" to address my concerns with property flooding is less than honestI first went through DR Horton online warranty protocol (as they dictate) within my first months at this property on the issueIn addition, I had several phone calls back and forth with *** *** from Horton about this matter who was assigned to deal with meBecause of their contractor issues, my concerns were never resolved within the month warranty period, and now Horton states that I am long out of warranty and anything they've done after that initial month period was executed "as a courtesy." In exasperation over any lack of action having gone through the "proper channels,' I finally emailed *** *** a Horton Sales Rep, who sold me my home as well as the HOA management company at that timeAnd that's when Horton Construction Manager *** *** got involved on this matter whose emails I will share with youHe was very sincere in attempting to resolve my situation, to the extent I sent a letter to the builder commending him for his diligence after he emailed that I was on the list and an engineer would, in fact, be inspecting my gradingThen...everything on this issue went cold and the denial of any builder responsibility or follow up beganAnd still continues. the homeowner and conducting a site visit of the customer’s home which was purchased on 5-31-2007. We have provided information to the homeowner as to the obligations and limits of our New Home Warranty
On 7/14/*** *** inspected *** *** roof above the garage and found that there was an issue with the flashing at the connection of the main house and garage. The technician from *** removed the existing flashing, and 2-shingles so he could correct the issue. The technician installed new flashing and then installed new shingles in the areas that he removed. The drywall repair in the garage is scheduled for tomorrow, 7/21/16, and the siding repair will be scheduled as soon as possible. A written report will be provided to Mrs*** detailing the work which was completed by the roofing technician Sincerely,
