Due to the nature of DR Horton not following through with the proper repairs or replacements (Roof has been inadequately 'repaired' once already). I am keeping this complaint open until roof is repaired to new construction standards or replaced entirely
Revdex.com Response I personally inspected the height of the fence and there was not a dirt buion the fence after the completion of the yard repairsI have also had my field representative check the fence and the drainage and he also did not find a problemI hired my drainage contractor to go back by and inspect to see if we had missed something that was causing a problem and he too felt that the yard is draining properlyAt this time the ground is completely saturated due to the extreme recent trainsWhen the ground is that saturated it takes time for it to dry outPlease note that there was no water standing hours after one of the last big rains Thank you, *** ***

The home in question was finished and sold on October 25th to the original buyer. The new owner purchased the home in 2016, the timeframe of the original warranties had long since expired. As a service, we had the roofer check the concerns about nailing and valleys installation and
repair as needed even though the vendor had no mandate to do so. Roof leaks are covered for the first year after a home closes, and the home had no reported issues during the coverage period. In the following years we have no control on what, if any, roof maintenance has occurred and also what type of storm damage may have occurred
We have met with the customer and have set appointments to repair the ceiling as necessaryWe also made a courtesy repair to the tub although it was not noted during the customer’s pre-closing inspection of the house Thanks *** *** Area Manager Crown Communities

Regards,Given that this is the second time we have had to have
our hardwood floors replaced throughout our entire downstairs, we are unwilling
to simply move forward with the replacement without assurances as to the root
cause of the failure. We have been told the floors failed due to the
glue. However, our last replacement used a different glue from the
initial installation, and both failed. Therefore, it seems strange to me
to attribute the repeated failures to the glue given that glues have been
used. We have repeatedly asked for copies of the reports identifying the
root cause of our flooring failure. We have never received any
reports. We will not proceed on our flooring replacement without the
proper assurances that the root cause has been properly identified and
remediated. It is unfortunate that DR Horton did not see fit to be present
at any of the previous inspections of our flooring by the flooring company and
the glue manufacturer. We were told during the inspection by the glue
manufacturer that our slab had a high moisture content and moisture readings of
our slab were beyond the acceptable limit. Therefore, we have requested
to meet with all interested parties - the flooring company, the hardwood
company, the glue company and DR Horton to discuss the
issue. Contrary to Mrs*** response to our complaint,
another flooring replacement at no charge to us in no way compensates us
for the extreme amount of time and heartache this issue has caused my
family. We are unwilling to undergo this extremely disruptive process
without being adequately assured that we will not have to undergo this process
again in the future. We do not want to have another meeting without all
of the involved people and without documentation supporting the root cause of
our floor failure

The painters came out on Friday September 11th to paint the areas. However the painters failed to complete the job. When asked to touthe areas that were repaired, they denied and insisted they were provided specific instructions on what areas to paint and replied with, “If you want those areas painted, you touch it up yourself.” This is totally unacceptable and very unprofessional considering there were repairs performed in those areas which needed to be repainted I accept the business’s response, but the provided response needs to be adhered to as indicated and it has not. The response indicated two coats will be applied and on Friday September 11th only one coat of paint was applied and the other areas not painted at all. This job is still pending and has not been resolved as indicated in their response. I am expecting the repaired area(s) entire wall(s) to be repainted with the paint color provided (as close of a match as possible) with two coats of paint Thanks, *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***

I contacted Austin the Superintendent for the area and Austin informed me that he would contact the painters, but I haven’t received a phone call regarding when they would come out. When they come, I would appreciate them painting all the areas that were touchwith the incorrect paint color Thanks, *** ***

The buyer was never promised or told the HVAC would be on the side of the house. In fact, they were told from the beginning that the HVAC would be located on the back of the house. The vast majority of the home in Riverview Meadows are not large enough to incorporate an HVAC on the side
of the home. The model home has the HVAC on the back of the house. The inventory model they walked demonstrates the HVAC on the back of the house. We informed the buyer that the only way they could have the HVAC on the side of the house is if they purchased one of our oversized home sites which has a $16,premium. They did not want to pay for the premium home site. We did offer them a $closing cost “gift” for the confusion. The buyer accepted the “gift”.
