Review: This company left a message on my cell phone. It's actually a work cell phone, my husband's work cell phone, but any ways they left a message not very clear on who the validation was for because it was all jargonned up. Said they were attempting to reach [redacted]? or something close to that recollection. I have the voice mail saved so the company cannot deny the claim. I phoned back, asking nicely as four other witnesses were with me, in the same room and simply inquired, with whom they were trying to reach? The rep instantly told me to calm down, otherwise they wouldn't speak to me. Firstly, don't tell people to calm down, that's not the way to speak to people. Secondly, I asked in a nice tone of voice, and have PROOF of said action. They didn't even validate who they were attempting to call, just started getting rude with me on the phone to the point where I had to hang up.Desired Settlement: Do not phone this number again and be nice to people when calling. You need to make sure that you're not reaching a voice mail message, which you did when you assumed that we were actually answering the phone. You told us to go to this website, to fill out a form to have our number removed from your calling database. That's bull!!! you need to make sure that you're calling the CORRECT resident, BEFORE you tell them to calm down. Fix your data base, and don't call the wrong house hold getting rude and vulgar with people you don't know. I have a copy of my credit report, granted it's not that great, and i'm working on that, but you had no business yelling at me to the point where I had to hang up. Don't call that cell phone number or my land line number ever again. Unless you validate the person that you're trying to contact, don't bother validating the bill either? My desired outcome is for debt collection agencies like Debt Recovery Solutions, LLC to use proper and legal debt collection practices.

Review: At the beginning of Nov. 2013 I received my first letter from Debt Recovery Solutions. The letter stated that I owed $457.56 and that the original creditor was US cellular. I have not ever had a US Cellular account therefore the debt cannot be mine. I contacted the company they told me this debt wasn't not on my credit repot yet and would not go on the report if I made a payment by Nov. ** 2013. I made the arrangements because I am trying to keep my credit report in good standing. After discussing the issue with my dad I decided not to pay for a debt that is not mine. I called the company back explained to them for the second time that I have never had a cell phone in my name with US Cellular or any other company because I was always on my dad's account and that I was canceling the payment. They were very rude to me told me it was on my credit report all ready and hung up on my step mom who was trying to help me resolve the issue. I searched the company online found SEVERAL complaints about this company doing this exact thing to many other people always claiming they owed a cell phone company. I contacted US Cellular's corporate office and had them search their records all the way back to Aug of 2008 (this is when debt recovery solutions claims I opened the account) they put in writing for me that I have not past or present ever had and account with them and should not be receiving collection notices. I tried called debt recovery solutions again to let them know what US Cellular said. They said there is nothing they can do for me I have to wait for them to mail me proof this debt is mine. There can't be any proof the debt IS NOT MINE! They hung up on me again for the third time. I have a copy of my credit report. They reported this to the credit agency 12/**/2013 yet I just a couple of weeks ago received my first notice that I even owed this money. This debt is supposedly form Aug 2008 I have heard nothing of it until very recently and it has all ready been on my credit report for almost a year. I have tried to contact the company several times. They interrupt when we are trying to talk to them and then they just hang up on us. I really need this off my credit report I never had an account with US cellular and shouldn't be expected to pay for something that is not mine just to keep my report clean of bad debt.Desired Settlement: I want this debt off my credit report and for them to not contact me again. I have high suspicions this company is a scam. I have been a victim of fraud some how.

Thank you

[redacted] - This office acknowledges receipt of the complaint filed with your office by [redacted]. In December, 2012, our company purchased an account from US Cellular in the name of Scott Hartweck. According to their records, an account was opened by [redacted] in August, 2008 and closed for non payment in January, 2009. Since this matter is in dispute, we have suspended collection activity and have requested supporting documentation from US Cellular. Upon receipt, we will promptly forward this information to his attention. In the interim, we will have this account deleted from [redacted]'s credit profile.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Review: Debt Recovery Solutions had added a collection item to all 3 of my credit reports on 8/2013 for the original Creditor which was Sleepy's. Now I filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy protection on July 2010 and Sleepy's was included in this Bankruptcy. The actual debt incurred in 2010 this item was discharge in April 2011. The opening of the account that they have listed is wrong and the debt amount is also wrong. This should have never even been put on my credit report at all. This is fraud and I want it removed ASAP!!Desired Settlement: This item must be removed ASAP as they are in violation of my right under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I want this removed ASAP and I want a letter stating that this is done. If not I will persue legal matters

Review: If I remember correctly, I received this same request years ago. I knew it was not my bill. I contacted the Revdex.com back then and the debt collection company sent me a letter saying they were sorry but they had me mixed up with another person with the same name. Don't know if this is a different collection agency but I don't owe [redacted] (which I don't think exists anymore) anything. I have outstanding credit and don't want my credit rating ruined by this error on their part. The account # on this bill starts with 405. IF the first three numbers are in fact the area code, it is located in Oklahoma. I have never been there. EVER. I googled this company and a lot of consumers paid this company even though they knew the debt was not theirs because they were afraid of getting a bad credit rating and ended up getting a bad credit rating anyway. They say I owe $98.83 but I do not. Contact person on their letter is [redacted], ###-###-####.Desired Settlement: I would like a letter of apology for my records and I want them to Stop Contacting Me. Thank you.

Review: I'm in the middle of cleaning my credit up. Next thing I notice is a new collection from [redacted] that says I owe [redacted] $555. I have NEVER gotten a payday loan. I call every [redacted] in [redacted]. I have live here for over 15yrs. I speak with manager after manager then the owner. They find NOTHING yes that's correct I have NEVER gotten a payday loan. I then call this company [redacted] I speak with Mr J[redacted] who tells me yes you owe [redacted]. I ask which one? Whats there phone number? what is there address? He said he didn't know then I got music. I then called back he then said I'm sorry I don't have a answer to that question. He did say I took out the loan 6/**/2010 and it went into default in **/2010. I then ask well how do you pay [redacted] if you have no info on [redacted] he had no answer. I then advised him that I have already called [redacted] and I don't owe them anything. He then said he would put the account in dispute. I called back got him again and ask for the account number. He gave me #[redacted]. I also need to add that I have never heard from this company. They had my address but I have never received a letter from these people before they added this to my credit report. I then called the owner and left 2 messages on his voice mail asking him to delete this nonsense.Desired Settlement: I need this company to delete this from my credit report asap. This is a scam and it's really said that they find people trying to clean there credit up and decide to rob them, Using our credit as the hostage.

Review: I received a collection letter on an old debt, I agreed to pay the settlement offer. After making my payment I was told a pay off letter would be E-mail to me as a receipt. I have been spending a week calling back and when I get some one who will talk with me I keep get told to check my E-mail tomorrow. The process seemed to go very smooth until I need documentation that the debt was payed.Desired Settlement: I would like to get documentation that the account has been payed and closed.

Review: Debt Recovery Solutions (DBS) is attempting to collect from me an alleged debt from [redacted] for $342.70 without verifying the origin, date, and statements from the alleged creditor. I dispute this debt. DBS has erroneous information as I do not owe [redacted] nor have I received any demands for payment from [redacted].

On 7/**/2015, I contacted DBS via telephone (###-###-####) to let them know I disputed this debt and to demand they provide proper documentation to substantiate their demand for collection.

I gave them the account number assigned by DBS and my name. Upon giving him my name the gentleman assisting me started speaking to me in [redacted] and in a rather demanding tone insisted I give him the last 4 numbers of my social security as he was sure I was not the person I claim to be. I ask his name but he ignored my request. I then refused to give him such information and told him that I was providing him with an account number that identified me before his company and could find all my information in his files, and was indeed the person named in the collection letter and was only calling them to let them know I was disputing the alleged [redacted] debt for which they had already entered a negative line for in my credit report. The gentleman rudely insisted I was not the person I claim to be and refused to give me any information on my account. I repeat to him that I was disputing the account and demanded verification of the debt because it was an erroneous debt under my name. He kept raising his voice and I told him that I will proceed this matter through a Revdex.com complaint, he dismissed my point and hanged up on me.Desired Settlement: I demand that DBS corrects negative reporting reflected in my credit report.

Review: This company has deceitfully ruined my credit and my life. I believe the charges they have incurred against me to be false, as I have proof of insurance during that time. (Which was six years ago.) I received no communication from this company at any time stating that I owed anything; no opportunity was given to me to pay or dispute the account until I contacted them myself after finding derogatory remarks on my credit report. Every person I spoke with was rude and unhelpful, refusing to provide any information to me about my account. One gentleman had told me they didn't even have an address on file for me, for which another lady (a supervisor) said that they in fact had tried to contact me, but that the letter had been returned undeliverable. This may have been an acceptable excuse that they have used for some, but in my case, I know it is false. My previous mailing address is my childhood home (a home which has had the same address for nearly 50 years, and one that I still receive mail from.) I was also informed that I would receive a packet to fill out regarding my dispute, for which nothing ever came. At last glance of my credit report, it seems that they have since proceeded without said input from me. This company has lied to me several times regarding my questionable bill owed, and have yet to provide me any real answers, especially regarding the fact they did not try to contact me before reporting that I had a delinquent bill.Desired Settlement: I demand that my credit report be restored in full, and that all remarks derogatory or otherwise be removed from the account. I also demand that the account in question be closed and no further association be made between Debt Recovery Solutions and I.

Review: This company has been nothing but rude. I spoke to several people who were down right rude and basically called me a liar when I told them that this account was paid. I had two different collections agencies involved with the [redacted] phone company. I paid the CBE group the settlement amount of $141.39on December 26, 2014, on January 2, 2015, this amount came out of my checking account as a POS. My son who is a banker alerted me that I had paid both the collection agency. So I took back the amount of $184.13, and paid the settlement amount since the CBE group was the second collection agency to contact me about this. I waited a couple of weeks to see if they reported it as paid, sure enough CBE never reported it to them that it was paid. I called [redacted] phone company couple of weeks ago and they told me that my account was paid, and that I shouldn't worry about it. Worry about it DEbt Recovery Solutions ruined my credit, harassed me made me really upset, and they are going to get away with trying to collect a debt twice. I don't like being threatened.

The lady I talked today said "you still owe this amount and you better pay it". I said Im not paying it again it was paid to the CBE group back in January, I wanted to tell her that my lawyer will be calling them, but thought it would be best to just hang up.Desired Settlement: No further contact by the business. I think that this company should be shut down! The are totally unprofessional and rude. Im done with being harassed by them. I paid my debt so now they can leave me alone. This whole experience has caused me great emotional strain. Its not my fault that they cant communicate with the company that was paid. I need this fixed and my credit restored and I know I will never get an apology from these rude people. I hope that this matter can be settled by your company, because I don't know what else to do. I paid my debt.. I have the proof and being called a "Liar" hurts. Thank you I hope you can help me.

[redacted] - Our office purchased the account in question from [redacted] in December, 2014. According to Verizon's records there is an outstanding balance due in the amount of $184.13. In light of [redacted]'s contention that she paid this account to a different entity, we have suspended all collection activity. Please ask [redacted] to forward confirmation of this payment directly to the undersigned so that I can complete the investigation. Thank you-Elliot S[redacted]Debt Recovery Solutions, LLCManaging Member/General Counsel[redacted]?

Review: Debt Recovery Solutions is incorrectly and 11 years after the fact trying to pin another person's debt on me. They can provide me no evidence of the sale or how I am connected with it. I have never shopped at the store they are now (11 years later) trying to say I made a credit purchase at. I called to dispute it when I first received the letter on 9/*/14. They then called me twice on 11/**/14 to tell me that if I didn't pay them $1300 to settle the claim they would take me to court. This is a lie since the statue of limitations has run out on this. I have contacted the company they say I made the purchase with ([redacted]), the banks that [redacted] used for their store credit cards ([redacted] and [redacted]), and [redacted] and no one has any record of such a purchase or credit to my name. They all told me this sounds suspicious and helped to inform me of my rights. When I told the collection agent on the first call that I was not going to pay him, but was going to continue to dispute it, he told me that if I didn't settle this with him then I would be facing legal and court fees. After we hung up, he called me back to tell me that I could not dispute it, that the courts would not rule in my favor, since someone made payments on this account from 2003 to 2007. And he continued to accuse me of being responsible. I told him to NEVER call me again and not to threaten me further. Then his "manager" came on the line to tell me that I was not being threatened, but was being informed of the consequences of not paying them to settle this now. All of this is reprehensible collection behavior because they are incorrectly and maliciously pursuing me for this debt that I did not incur, as well as lying to me about my options. This company has terrible business practices and should be closed for their unethical behavior toward innocent people.Desired Settlement: Formal acknowledgement in writing that I am not responsible for this debt.

Review: I received an alert yesterday on my credit file from experian and transunion that this company is reporting a collection account. I never have received a notice from this company of any debt nor have never received phone communication of a debt from them. This company made no attempt to collect the supposed debt from me and therefore I did not have the 30 days to dispute such supposed debt. The alleged debt has not listing of an original creditor.I believe this collection account is not mine and that Debt Recovery Solutions is practicing improper collection practicesDesired Settlement: Remove this collection account from the credit bureaus and do not list them again since this is an invalid debt . Review: I have contacted Debt Recovery Solutions, LLC multiple times to dispute the settlement request and to have my credit reports corrected. I called again today and I was told there is no record of the collection to be in dispute. I was told that the collection is in dispute as of January **, 2016. I am having a hard time believing that is true so I am contacting Revdex.com to please help me get this finally resolved.

This is a fraudulent and frivolous charge and it has tarnished my credit reports. This is a supposed outstanding bill from [redacted] from 2009 to 2011 for landline services at an address I do not live at and have not lived at in over 13 years. I have never requested or authorized services from [redacted] for landline services from 2009 to 2011 at the address provided by Debt Recovery Solutions, LLC. I do not know how they were able to obtain my address and my social security number.

Furthermore, their service associates are unprofessional, rude, and have unbelievable poor client relationship skills. I was hung up on, interrupted, and one associate refused to provide his name. I was told by the associate I spoke to that the collection would not be removed from my account after having told them multiple times that this is an incorrect charge.

Original Creditor: [redacted].Desired Settlement: 1. I would like for Debt Recovery Solutions, LLC to stop contacting me.

2. I would like my collection account to be closed.

3. I would like for this collection record to be removed from all the credit reporting agencies.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The response contains conflicting information and is not an acceptable resolution. 1. I was told that even though I had contacted the credit collection agency multiple times, that the account was not in dispute status until January 2016. 2. If they have been in contact with [redacted] (they did not specify if they were in touch with me or my deceased father - who has the same name as I do) since April 2014,why has this not been resolved yet? 3. When I spoke with the credit collection agency, I was not informed that they are going to verify the account in dispute with [redacted]. Again, I did not authorize the services under my name and SSN at the address on record. The credit collection agency cannot get their facts straight. They mailed the collection notice to my address, where I have lived during the time frame under dispute, but the service in question was for a different address. My deceased father used to live at the address in dispute. They need to specify who they have been in contact with since April 2014...it is not sufficient to say [redacted].As stated previously, I would like to have the matter resolved by having this removed from all my credit reports and have the credit agency stop contact me. They also gave me information of the other companies who would have billed me from that time. After 5 phone calls, no one can confirm the treatment date nor me owing anyone money. I have not received a collection notice. I pay my medical bills on arrival. So who would have a past due amount. Everything I pay is verified through [redacted] first, then [redacted], then I will pay a bill if received through a 3rd party. I have read up on this company from your website and online and all have said this is a scam place. It is also recommended that you should not contact them directly so they cannot have any of your information. This is why I am coming to you. [redacted] and [redacted] have advised that I start a fraud alert. Since I read that you have been successful with dealing with them, I hope you can advocate on my behalf. [redacted] did advise that if "[redacted] of" (whoever that is) wants to start a claim with [redacted] for me, then to do so, since they have no record of treatment from this date. All other billing from 3/**/2013 on my records and everyone else's has since been resolved. I checked. I know. If you want the account from the letter, I can give you that upon request. If this isn't resolved through you, then I will take actions through Anthem and [redacted] Fraud Services. Thank you for your help resolving this matter.Desired Settlement: Please have them erase this balance due. Please have them destroy any information about me. If anything is on my credit from them, I need to know that as well. I guess I need to check that, but this is a lot for some phony bill. With all the business with a Anthem getting their information stolen... is this the place that stole it? I would like you to contact me so I know this is resolved. I don't want them contacting me. Places like that scare me that they even have my name.

Review: They are calling me about a Verizon phone bill (Residential) that I already paid. I contacted Verizon back in 2011 to disconnect my service and a representative accidently selected I was deceased. The bill was for $283.15 and my husband paid $285.55 on 2/*/2011. My payment wasn't due until 2/**/2011 This is not the first debt collector that is calling me about the same bill. This particular bill just keeps circulating and debt collector keeps calling. I just ignore the calls and letters I receive about this bill.Desired Settlement: Please don't contact me about this Verizon bill again.

Review: DEBT RECOVERY SOLUTIONS FAILED TO PROVIDE ME SUPPORT FOR THE COLLECTION AMOUNT. FURTHERMORE, THE COMPANY SOLD THE COLLECTION TO TRIDENT ASSET MANAGEMENT WHEN I PLACED A DISPUTE, SO DUPLICATE COLLECTIONS APPEAR ON MY CREDIT REPORT. I AM NOT SURE HOW THESE COMPANIES ARE PERMITTED TO TRANSFER THE COLLECTION INFORMATION AFTER AN DISPUTE IS PLACED. CUSTOMERS ARE CONSTANTLY REPAIRING THEIR CREDITS BECAUSE OF FRAUDULENT AGENCIES LIKE TRIDENT ASSET MANAGEMENT AND DEBT RECOVERY SOLUTIONS. I HAVE PLACED ANOTHER DISPUTE AND NOW A COMPLAINT WITH Revdex.com. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL ASSISTANCE FROM Revdex.com. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE THE DUPLICATED COLLECTIONS TO BE REMOVED FROM MY CREDIT REPORT AND REQUEST DOCUMENTATION TO VERIFY THE BALANCE ASSIGNED FOR COLLECTION.

Review: I have been dealing with this company on behalf of my husband, I have been yelled at , hung up on, and lied to on a number of occasions. First this company has blatantly lied to me concerning the release of the title after the payment for settlement has been received. They told me the title would be release in 30 days. When I called them today the tell me it will be 90 days. I will not tolerate such activity.Desired Settlement: I want the title to my husband's vehicle release immediately. No more messing around with these people.

Response:

We have contacted our client and have requested that they expedite the delivery of the Title to the vehicle. I anticipate that the executed title will be delivered without further delay. Review: This debt collection agency received my debt for a hospital bill from NES medical services of ny ([redacted]) for a date of service in which I was told upon entering the hospital could be placed under "charity" as I was a graduate student with no income and no health insurance and needed assistance. I filed the paperwork for charity with the hospital, yet they continued to carry the original balance and sell this to a debt collector. When I just called and spoke with a representative at this debt collection agency, she was incredibly rude and would not furnish me with any information, and hung up on me. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional as I was trying to explain that for 3 years now I have been told by both the hospital billing and the first collection agency, that the charity took care of the balance.Desired Settlement: For the original debt, which I was told would be taken care of by charity by the hospital before I agreed to be seen, will be dismissed as was stated to me and that I will be absolved from this debt. As an additional note, the charge is for $658.00 and on that date of service at [redacted], I was not taken back to a room but seen in the waiting area momentarily by a physician for about 30 seconds, and I received a band aid and Neosporin for a cut which I went to the hospital for because I thought it might require stitches. This amount is preposterous and not reflective of the value of the treatment, being given a band aid and neosporin.

Review: 06/**/2013 Today I received a bill from Debt Recovery Solutions LLC. It is saying that I owe $1045.36 to US Cellular. That particular bill for the $1045.36 was wrote off years ago. The bill in question was from 2004??? I was 17 at the time. In the state of IOWA, the statue of limitations is 7 yrs plus the Federal Law says its 2 yrs, non collectible. I do not owe. Plus, according to the my credit report it is no longer on there. Debt Recovery Solutions is back to buying really old debts and are in the process of ripping people off again.Desired Settlement: I do not owe this. This bill is older than my son who is now 7. I am a single mom, part time income. I have no income enough to pay this, and since it is so OLD will not.
