Review: They have been sending harassing notices regarding a Verizon bill for years (literally, we have not had a home phone in years)! Verizon ended up issuing us a refund on this account for an overpayment.
Repeated attempts explaining the situation has not stopped this company for years to continuously send harassing notices demanding payment.Desired Settlement: Please....get them to stop. THANKS for your time and help.

Review: Debt Recovery Solutions called my father last night around 9pm, who lives in Florida. I live in Maryland and am an adult. I never gave Debt Recovery Solutions my father's number and never gave them prior written consent to call any third parties, including my father.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to no longer contact any third parties, including my parents, siblings, friends, etc. I would only like them to contact me via email to [redacted]. And to only send documents to my email. I will not give them my address or social security number.

Review: Because this company was negligent in documenting a debt had been paid, I was contacted by [redacted] advising I had a civil lawsuit filed against me for an unpaid debt and my wages would be garnished if I am taken to court. I quickly made payment arrangements and had no choice but to pay half the debt ($138.44) right then to prevent further scrutiny against my credit and to avoid court/court costs. I quickly realized I HAD in fact paid this debt and found an email confirming it was paid. The CSR was a bit rude and still questioned the truth as to whether or not it was paid. I was told to fax my email print out and I would receive a release of liability. That was done and I've yet to hear back from anyone!Desired Settlement: I want a refund for what recently paid, a release of liability sent immediately and a FULL deletion of this debt off of my credit with ALL THREE credit bureaus!

We have received their assurance that a refund will be issued immediately. Please extend my apology to [redacted] for this clerical error. Furthermore, if she has any further concerns, please advise her to contact me directly. Thank you-Elliot S[redacted]

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I have NOT in fact received any resolution from Debt Recovery Solutions. I was told by two different representatives (Mr. J[redacted] and Mr. C[redacted]) that I would receive a release of liability via email and that letter has yet to be received. [redacted], a company that can not be found via internet or on the Revdex.com site, a company DRS forwarded ALL of my personal information to, will NOT refund me my money until I am able to provide them with this letter. Because I made payment arrangements with them they will continue to debit my account and if the balance is not paid they will then turn my account back over to the courts where my wages will be garnished for a bill that was paid 5 years ago!
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

Review: I have received several collection notices from Debt Recovery Solutions LLC. I have called them twice and they were unable to find my SSN and said the debt was not mine and would clear it from my name so I would stop getting the notices. I continue to get the notices. My wife tried to call the number listed and was hung up on by the very rude rep. All my wife said was that she would not give my SSN over the phone but would give the Account # and confirm the last four of the SSN.Desired Settlement: I want my name removed from the account in question and want a faxed or e-mailed letter confirming that the account is not mine.

Review: In May, 2013 I received a letter from the above company regarding creditor "US CELLULAR" in the amount of $698.44. I sent a dispute letter requesting validity of this debt and any billing associated with this account that is NOT mine. I never heard from them again. Then on November [redacted] 2013 I again received a letter from this same company for the same account number [redacted] for an amount of $388.16 stating they have reported this account to the collection agency.
This company has not once validated this debt, and has now impinged upon my rights as a consumer by placing this account on my credit reports with validating or replying to my dispute.
I would like to add that this is the second company attempting to collect this questionable debt. In 2009 Account recovery services also attempted to collect this debt. The validation was unable to be made, and the account was deleted at that time.
Apparently this old debt has been sold to Debt Recovery Solutions, LLC, and now they are attempting to collect on a debt that is not mine without any validation.Desired Settlement: I want the information submitted to all three credit bureaus deleted and for Debt Recovery Solutions to attempt to STOP collecting on a debt that does not belong to me. If they can provide me with validation of this debt in my name with billing statements I would be happy to investigate this matter further.

Review: On July [redacted], 2015 a collection company by the name of "Debt Recovery Solutions, LLC" put derogatory and inaccurate information on my credit report. It shows that the original creditor was Cash1 and the client was "Cascade Capital, LLC". It shows the amount was for $315.00. On the credit report it shows that the account was open on May 2015. I have not opened any accounts with "Cash 1" in May 2015. I was not properly notified per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, so I was unable to verify the validity or dispute the debt. This is in clear violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I only received one letter from Debt Recovery Solutions dated July *, 2015 requesting to pay $236.25 by 7/**/15 which looks like a settlement letter. This is another violation since the creditor put the inaccurate/derogatory information on my credit report and reported it to the credit bureaus at the same time. This action is a violation of my consumer rights and is illegal. I have already opened a dispute with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau complaint #[redacted] and will seek legal action if needed!!Desired Settlement: I was not notified about the alleged debt prior to July [redacted] 2015, so I was unable to verify and dispute it, which is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and my consumer rights. As a result, I want it deleted from all 3 credit bureaus. The debt is not valid, I never opened an account with Cash 1 in May 2015 as it's shown on my credit report. Also, I would like an investigation regarding the validity of the debt and the collection practices of "Debt Recovery Solutions."

[redacted]. We do have a phone book listing that is [redacted]. BUT... nobody they are looking for lives at this address. I would guess they looked up [redacted], found a J and put the number down. Review: Debt Recovery Solutions has placed a debt on my Transunion, Equifax and Experian credit report for a US Cellular cellphone. I have notified them that this is a fraudulent account that was placed under my name. I have been going back and forth with this collection agency regarding this debt. I am trying to do a short payoff on my home and this is affecting my credit score. They asked me to send my 2007-2009 W2 and a copy of myt drivers license. I have fax and mailed them the information several times and they keep stating they haven't received it. They are rude and disrespectful and they have called me at lseveral times. Everytime I ask to speak with a siupervisor or the person in charge they tell me they arent in the office or they dont have a supervisor. This company is jeopardizing my ability to purchase my home by not removing this bogus account off of my credit report.Desired Settlement: I am asking that Debt Recovery remove this bogus charge of $289 off of all 3 cr4edit bureaus I gave them the information they requested

Review: A negative mark showed up on my credit report. I called [redacted] which sent me my credit report. Debt Recovery Solutions #[redacted] appears as a "Debt Buyer" in collections appears on my report. I called Debt Recovery Solutions at ###-###-#### to ask them what this is about. They asked me for my SSN and I supplied it, they said they would send the information on what this is by mail, but what showed up was a bill. I called the original Creditor "[redacted]" (which I have never been to) and they sent me to their billing group- ###-###-####, I spoke with Jarvis on the first call, Natasha on the second call and Chandra on the third call. The billing team said they would open an investigation. They told me they have no record of my SSN and no billing for me at all. They also told me that they have never used Debt Recovery Solutions as a collection agency either, and expressed that they could not help me. I called [redacted] and filed a complaint. 60 days later they told me that Debt Recovery Solutions verified the account and refused to take it off my credit report. I just tonight called Transuinon back and filed another complaint. My attempts in contacting Debt Recovery Solutions to remove this off my report have fallen on deaf ears. They did not have my SSN until I gave it to them. I am also opening a complaint with the Missouri Attorney Generals Office.Desired Settlement: I want this off my credit report, I am still considering a lawsuit as I am working on getting a refi on my house and this is very disruptive.

Sincerely,
Review: I was seen in Muskogee Community Hospital's Emergency Room on October [redacted], 2011. The ER billed my insurance for their part of the visit, but failed to accurately relay all insurance information to the physician billing office so that the physician services could be billed. They tried billing me personally several times, in which I called them and gave them all the insurance information needed to bill. They failed to bill my insurance, and have now sent the information to a collection agency. I contacted my insurance and the debt collection agency, Debt Recovery Solutions. I had both of them on a conference call and my insurance informed them that the bill has not been sent to them and that I am not responsible for the charges. My insurance requested the contact information for the company that sent the debt claim to them, as did I. They refused to give any information for the company stating that they do not have it. If they do not have contact information for the people that they bought the debt from, they should not have the debt. Through my own extensive hours of research into this matter, I recovered the information for the agency responsible for the physician billing. I have contacted them and told them the situation. They stated they would pass all insurance information on to the debt collection agency and have them bill the insurance. I called the debt collection agency to inform them of this, then was promptly told "we do not bill insurance, you owe us this debt." I began telling them that they needed to handle that matter with Okie State Emergency Physician billing service, they then told me that they will not do that and hung up the phone. Previously when trying to get the information for the physician billing agency, I had requested to speak with a supervisor. I was told "no, I will not transfer you to a supervisor, we will handle this debt ourselves." When I asked for the representatives name, he refused to give me his name and hung up on me. I had requested several times in the past to speak with a supervisor and was given the same response. I spoke with my insurance again today, 12/**/2013, and was told that the problem lies with the fact that since they failed to bill insurance within a given timeframe, they know that the insurance will not pay the debt and will require that it gets "written off" and taken off my credit report because I will not be legally responsible for the debt given their negligence to file the claim in a timely manner. I am ready to contact an attorney and seek monetary justice for the stress and time taken to try and resolve this matter if they do not remove the debt and take it off my credit report.

I SENT THEM PROOF BY WAY OF A LETTER FROM A COLLECTION COMPANY THAT I SETTLED THIS WITH AND THEY SAID THAT WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH I WOULD HAVE TO GTET ANOTHER LETTER FROM THE COMPANY I SETTLED WITH AND SEND THEM A COPY OF A CANCELLED CHECK SHOWING MY PAYING THEM. Review: This company seems to be fraudulent. We received a letter in Oct 2012 stating I owed on an old Verizon account from 2002 with a cell number I never had. I asked for proof that this was my account because I know it wasn't and they stated they would send a copy of the Verizon contract with my signature to me within 30 days. I just received another letter dated July **, 2013 with a page of a Verizon bill to an address I have never lived at. I called Debt Recover back, they didn't even pull up the account # and stated they would stop calling and mailers and wouldn't report to bureaus. I then called back to make sure they have my account and they stated they would not send me a letter stating they would not report this fraudulent account to the bureaus. The 2nd lady I talked to stated I needed to send her my tax returns from 2002 to show my address at that time!!!!! What kind of collection agency asks a customer to send them tax returns!!! And from 11 years ago!!!! Is this company a legit company? What can I do to make sure this company is not going to report this fraudulent account to the bureaus!Desired Settlement: I want this fraudlent account taken care of and a letter stating they are no longer collecting on this 11 year old account that is not mine and will not report this inaccuracy to the bureaus.

Review: I got a notification that there was a collection my credit report from this company for a Cash America. I have never gotten any correspondence from Cash America or Debt Recovery Solutions to even know about an alleged collection account. I am not familiar with this account that is on my report. This is negatively affecting my credit, and if the debt is legitimate (which I don't see how, as there isn't even a Cash America in the state that I live in), I have not been given the opportunity to resolve it. It says it was opened on 12/**/2015 and last reported on 01/**/16. I have NEVER received any correspondence on this and I don't believe this debt is mine. This company is ruining my credit with a derogatory mark. It does not seem that their business practices are legal or ethical!Desired Settlement: I want this derogatory mark removed from my credit immediately. This is affecting my ability to purchase a home.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I filed a complaint previously (ID#[redacted]) with this company, in which the business stated the matter was closed and it would be reported to the major crediting agencies. While it was deleted from my Equifax report, it is still reflecting negatively on my TransUnion and possibly my Experian report. I waited an entire cycle for it to update, however it is still being reported and was updated in February.I would like this removed completed from all 3 credit bureaus completely and for good.

Sincerely,
Review: [redacted] sold an old account of mine to Debt Recovery Solutions. I have been and continue to be a customer of [redacted] for at least the past 25 years. The first I heard about this "past due" amount was when I received correspondence from DRS and not from [redacted]. I was never contacted even though I have been at the same address for 11 years and even when we moved we had our mail forwarded for at least a year. When I called [redacted] I was told that since my account was sold to DRS, they, [redacted], no longer has any information on the account. When I called DRS, they refused to answer my questions and said I just need to pay it. I contacted the California Public Utilities Commission and filed a complaint against [redacted]. I gave written consent for the CPUC [redacted] to speak with DRS on my behalf. They asked her to email the information needed to them and they would respond. They have yet to respond. When you call DRS at their [redacted] you are asked to enter your account number. Once you do this the phone goes dead. When the phone doesn't go dead you are placed on perpetual hold until you finally give up and hang up. The questions the CPUC [redacted] tells me are crucial are 1] what is the phone number connected to this account? 2]what address was the bill sent to? 3]what period of time does this cover? I am told that the statute of limitations for a phone bill in California is 7 years. I found a [redacted] bill from 2005 which shows our current account number and not the one [redacted] tells me they sold to DRS. The phone number that is part of the account number on the DRS correspondence is a very old phone number. This number was our phone number prior to our move to our present address. It seems to me that [redacted] has sent us to collections for a bill that is way past the statute of limitations. Without the answer to these crucial questions I am not able to defend myself against either [redacted] or DRS.Desired Settlement: I would like to be able to obtain the information needed in order to allow the CPUC to complete their investigation. I feel I am not at fault here and my primary complaint is with [redacted] but since they have sold my account to DRS, I have to deal with DRS. I request that you contact DRS and ask them to respond to the [redacted] from CPUC and stop giving her the run around. The amount in question is only $102.98 and I would gladly pay it if 1] I was convinced I truly owe it and 2] If the derogatory mark this has placed on my credit profile would be removed. I have asked DRS if they would do this once paid and they told me no. I am currently trying to refinance my home and this collection account is wreaking havoc on my credit score and I needed it to be reversed and removed since this is an error. I appreciate your help in this matter.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,
Review: I have seen a collection item on my Experian and Equifax credit reports last year in Dec from Debt recovery solutions - I was in contact with a person at the company and explained that this was a case going back 3-4 years back about a fraudulent bill with a health related issue where someone had used my identity to claim a bill in Connecticut where I HAVE NEVER LIVED or even in the adjoining states and this can be verified from my credit reports as well. The collection company had that time removed the item and the matter was resolved and I do not understand that why this issue is again brought p my Debt recovery solutions - I even provided the person the documentation of the closure of the account from American adjustment bureau - After this I was assured that this will be removed from my credit file and since then Transunion does not show it but Experian and Equifax still shows it and this has adversely affected my credit core adversely .I have excellent credit >800 and this has ruined my perfect responsible history.Desired Settlement: PLEASE remove this from my credit report as promised as I am fed up of this otherwise I will have to take legal action against your company to protect my credit.
