Hi ***, Thank you for your patience during this investigation to your claimYour allegations of non-communication are not correct as I have email threads on the *** at which time your patience was requested while we communicate with the club and their management which you acknowledgeIn your email to me, you stated you canceled on the *** and your membership lasted for approximately 2-monthsPer our records, you joined on 2/**/so if your membership was canceled on the ***, that's just days from your join dateWe have not heard from you since FebruaryNotifications were mailed out to you which the post office would forward to your new addressThe club management has searched for the cancellation document at which time we have not found any proof towards your claim of cancellationUnless you can provide some type of proof of cancellation a refund will not be made available to youWe apologize for your frustrations in this matter however, we are not at fault as we do not have a signed document between the member and the clubBest, *** ***

I signed up with Crunch Fitness in *** *** at their location on 6/13/I chose the year contract for $a monthI read and understood the contract prior to signing itI was very aware of the day buyer's right to cancel window
The contact explicitly says, """You, the buyer, may cancel this agreement at any time prior to midnight of the fifth business day after the date of this agreement, excluding Sundays and holidaysTo cancel this agreement, mail or deliver a signed and dated notice, or send a telegram which states that you, the buyer, are canceling this agreement, or words of similar effectSuch notice shall be sent to Crunch *** ***, *** *** ***, *** ***, CA *** or by email to ***Date this contract was signed: ____0_6_/1_3_/_2_0_1_6_____You are entitled to receive your REFUND within days of receipt of notice of cancellation, less payment for any health club services rendered prior to such cancel
I joined *** fitness gym on Sunday, March 5, I canceled my gym membership within five days because I knew I did not want to drive that far from my houseI used to work at a gym and I know that if someone cancels within five days, they are supposed to return every penny they spent to sign upI not only canceled my gym membership but my boyfriend's membership (who was on the same account as mine)They canceled my gym membership and did not return any of the feesI called and they said they would have the issue resolved and my money sent back to meTwo months later, I realized they were still charging my accountI went in and spoke to them and they still had my boyfriends account activeThey apologized and once again, told me the issue would be resolved and I would receive all of my money backThey owe me $because of the monthly fees and annual fees they charged to my accountI have called countless times and tried to resolve this issue with them one too many times

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear
I can not speak for the volume of training that the club providesI only know my personal experienceWe showed up twice for our appointment and both times there was no trainer available And finally when they provide us with one he was totally unqualifiedI was even told that he was let go and no longer working for themRegarding the contract we were never given the document at the time we signed up for the serviceThe club just required our signature on an electronic padFor all what I was told that was to authorize the charges on the automatic credit card payment and to agree to the use of the facility terms and conditions To me this is misleading and violation by itselfThis club caused us damage way more than the refund I am asking forI simply do not trust their practice at all We walked to this place twice and I am paying them $for itI will not allow them to collect more than this amountTo this moment I did not post any reviews telling my experienceBut if this continues I definitely willThis gym may be good for athletic people but definitely not for average JoeThank you Revdex.com for doing this on our behalf, I greatly appreciate it

Have been trying to cancel and have my account refunded since April Still being charged
I have been trying to cancel my membership since April, I now live miles from a crunch location First time, spoke to a woman at the crunch location in Valrico and she told me I have one more month to pay before I can cancel Contract states that you have to pay months of the membership before you can cancel Okay, I joined in January, paid January-March (months) They continue to take money out after the General Manager said finally my account was cancelled immediately in May after numberous attempts at closing the membership and have actually cause an overdraft in my husbands bank account so we have those fees on top of everything My husband called and spoke with the General Manager and he said he was going to refund the last two months that were wrongfully charged to us We still haven't been refunded, and have tried many times to call the GM but he's always "busy" and won't re

*** *** *** *** *** both enrolled at Crunch *** on Feb 6, 2015, both on a Peak membership. Their memberships required them to pay their first months dues at the time of enrollment, and an annual fee that was to be billed days later. Apart from these obligations their
memberships continue month to month until they cancel. On Feb 22, 201r *** and *** both signed cancellation forms at Crunch, and both of their memberships are now cancelled. There are no notes of records of any kind showing that either *** or *** have notified Crunch of their intent to cancel. Because of this their memberships have continued to accrue additional monthly duesI would like to resolve this matter for both of them, and will agree to waive all late fees and past dues that have accumulated as long as they both pay the annual fee they owe from when they joined last year ($39) and one month of dues ($19.95), for a total of $eachI have placed notes in the system to this effect, so if they simply stop by the Crunch in *** and pay this amount we will then close their accounts and waive the $in past dues and late fees
Member came in on 10/** to cancel and owed August and September dues (Peak at $19.95/month)Since he was just days from his monthly EFT date, he was charged for another month totaling $in dues plus late charges from August andSeptember of $Ironically there were two ***
***'s in the system and unfortunately the front desk staff cancelled the wrong membership which had a $balanceOnce this was corrected, the collections team reached out to Jason filing the complaint to let him know the fees owedWhile Crunch Portland apologizes for the error, the monies are still owed and owner has agreed to refund member $as a settlement for the mix up

PT manager RU stated refund on PT for unused funds due to severe medical issues preventing gym use was an option when requested he backtracked
I joined Crunch the beginning of paying membership to use all clubs Had an appointment with Personal Training and met RU I purchased $of PT At time it was explained that if medical issues prevented me from using the training that I would be eligible for a refund I had raised this issue because of upcoming surgeries and concerns for spending this amount of money
As expected, within weeks I had my first surgery and stopped PT I discussed the medical issues at length with RU I was still billed for sessions in this time but RU explained this would be rectified moving forward- with no cost sessions to even out what he had charged me when I wasn't in the gym
I returned as soon as I was able to PT, but suffered significant issues with medication complications and follow up surgeries so struggled to get consistent approp
Complaint: 11571307I am rejecting this response because:This is about billingExample I want to only tan and hydro bed and I've been paying for it since earlier this year but didn't have it I should have been proratedI have come by and calledWhat's the point if you don't have what I'm payingI didn't complain about my experienceI don't believe I should be charged for amenities not availableI want prorated refund and going forward to only be charged for what you do have till you complete it for both myself and *** ***'s accountsOtherwise I can have my lawyer contact you.
We will not be commenting on the accusation we do not look after our staff. The agreement states as long as we can provide the service purchased we can charge the amount signed for, for the entirety of the agreement. *** has not been without a trainer at all and was transitioned accordingly which is common practice when turnover occurs. Attempts have been made to help *** "freeze" her agreement while she works on getting her finances in order to continue with her training. At this point we will not be cancelling her agreement as she still has a minimum of bi-weekly payment
I did not find any new information from the customer in her latest reply. However, the relevant facts in this case are quite simple and straightforward.
*** *** came into Crunch Fitness on June 28, 2015. She inquired about joining, and our staff reviewed the membership options. *** *** decided to enroll on a membership, she provided us with all of her contact information, she signed and initialed in different places to confirm that she did in fact intend to become a member, she provided us with a credit card to bill her initial payment and to bill her for her future dues and annual fee payment.
While *** *** now claims she was never shown any of our pricing material I find this to be preposterous since there is no way any person could know which of our memberships to choose unless they were shown the pricing presentation pages, all of which clearly explain about the fees and total costs. *** *** claims with certainty that it was our staff that misrepresented the terms, never considering the possibility that perhaps she simply did not pay attention or understand what was being told to her. Misunderstandings do happen, and it would be disingenuous to not consider this possibilityOf course when misunderstandings do occur the written agreement is the place you go to determine the facts. *** *** does not dispute that she came into the club and inquired about joining, and she does not dispute that she chose to join, or that she signed and initialed in different places, confirming that she understood and accepted the membership terms. *** *** also does not dispute the fact that she then used the gym for her personal workouts during the months of June and July, or that she utilized the guest privileges that came with her membership, bringing both her son and her husband to the gym for workouts.
There is no indication that *** *** ever had any issue with Crunch until Aug 4, when she came to the club and requested to cancel. It was at this time that *** *** was reminded that she would need to pay her annual fee in order to cancel. *** *** then claimed she was unaware of the annual fee, so she asked for a copy of her agreement to see if it in fact did state this fee was required. Of course that is precisely what the agreement stated. It was only at this point in time that Ms*** then inquired why she did not get a copy of the agreement emailed to her when she joined. In fact the contract was emailed to her the moment she signed the agreement, but it never dawned on the member to inform us that she did not receive it until August.
While it would be perfectly within our rights to require *** *** to fulfill her obligations under the agreement, I am willing to waive her annual fee, and refund her 100% of the entire enrollment fee and her first months dues, but only as long as *** ***, her husband, and her son pay Crunch the standard guest fee for the times they used the club. They used the club a total of times, so with the guest fee of $per visit that would equal $130. Upon receipt of these guest fees Crunch *** will waive the annual fee and refund 100% of all money paid for the membership
Unethical harassment for money for services not used and making it difficult to halt those services
Read the negative reviewsMy issue isn't a one time thingI had a membership about a year ago and enjoyed it when I did go, but due to lack of health, time, & finances I had to take a breakI put the account on hold, paid the $annual fee for that year just in case I were to be able to start againI wanted to just cancel but they pushed for me just to put it on holdI agreedAs it turns out going back to the gym wasn't an optionSo what would a business do if the customer does not pay further "dues"...they cancel the membershipCommon sense and honestThis company has neither of those attributesThey started calling almost daily for more moneyI don't go to the gym and haven't for over a yearWhy would I give you more money? Instead of cancelling my membership(which you have to jump through hoops to do) they decided to continue charging and put me into collections
December 4, 2017This letter is in response to the claim number referenced above*** *** *** completedan online membership on with recurring monthly dues of $Her membershipagreement on page under the section CANCELLATION OF MONTHLY MEMBERSHIPS (section1.10.9) clearly states
that cancellation requires ten (10) day notice prior to the next bill date. Her billing date is the 27th of each monthAdditionally, the agreement states that cancellationmust be done in person or through the US mailAs of today, the membership has NOT beencancelled therefore invoices will continue to be billedCarrie did speak to an employee onand was told to stop in to receive a 2-month billing freeze since she has not been ableto use the gymWe will be happy to honor the freeze or cancel the membership if proceduresas outlined in the agreement are followedAs we did not make an error, a refund will not beprocessed*** *** may stop in or mail a cancellation or freeze request to us at the abovestated address by December 17th to stop her billing on the 27th.Please contact Karen at ###-###-#### or via email at if further information is needed.Regards,Karen M.General Manager

Requested membership cancellation in Feb, via webMade multiple calls/emails sinceMembership fees still charged inc annual feeCo won't cancel
I completed a form on Crunch's website to cancel my membership, on Feb 27, as I was leaving the country and not sure when I would be backI called the gym in mid March to confirm my membership would be cancelledI was told someone would call me backAt no time was I told that I needed to cancel in person
I did not get a call back before I leftWhen I returned I realized that my account had still been charged the monthly membership fee of $
I called the gym at the end of August and spoke with Ty Gonzo, managerHe told me that he needed some proof, in writing that I had requested to cancelI said I had an email confirmation from the website and that I would send to him
He told me that, in the meantime, he would cancel my membership so that I would not incur any additional charges
I emailed the proof in three occasions
