Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 16, 2016/03/14) */ just returning your request of our side of the story for [redacted] , I was out sick for a few days so I could not respond soonerI talked to [redacted] and explained how the membership works and that the maintenance fee is annual on the same day every year and I showed him a copy of his agreementIf he was charged a late fee it is because he had insuficient funds in his account
Horrible customer service!! I went to cxl my membership the person at the desk said I could place it on hold (I said ok but I have already done that in the past) she said no prob she would take care of itone month later obviously NOT I got billed as normalI called to explain situation and of course I'm not able to get a refund because the account has already been on hold ..um really..wanted to talk to management but was too busy to take my phone call
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I most definitely reject this responseIn previous emails, [redacted] stated that "We give the new member days to review the agreement and, if for any reason they change their mind within those days, we allow them to cancel and receive a full refund."; therefore, since I cancelled on the same day that I received the agreement (8/4/15), I'm well within the time frame he providedAt no point during the sign up process was I informed that I would be getting an email nor was I informed that I had days to review a "contract" that I didn't even know that I was getting; otherwise, I would've inquired as to why I hadn't received it.I've attached pictures of the document that was initially given to me on 8/along with a screen shot that he has since forgedOn the original document, there is no "E" after [redacted] ? Oddly enough, the spelling has been corrected on his end to attempt to avoid giving me a full refund since I was never sent the agreementIn addition to that, he's blatantly lying when he says that I received the agreement as it's impossible being that the email address that they entered was incorrectAgain, the 'agreement' was initially provided to me on 8/& being that I cancelled on the same day (8/4/@ 9:28pm), I would say that I am cancelling well within days of receiving the agreementAll in all, [redacted] is clearly misinformed on many levels & tries to put the blame on the customer who is being misled when signing an agreementTheir marketing campaigns have nothing to do with the issue that I'm presenting to himHe stated, "we put all the information about the annual fee on the very first page of the prices, and we used red ink to make it harder to miss." What would the "first page of the prices" be? There is NOTHING on their counters in regards to pricing or memberships nor is anything handed to a new member to reviewAll you have is the word of a staff memberAs he stated, there is "the option to delay the annual fee for days." I've already said multiple times, [redacted] & [redacted] (I dealt with both of them) said that the payment could be delayed days because if I cancelled before the days that I WOULD NOT have to pay the annual feeTherefore I cancelled well within that time frameThe information regarding the annual fee is given VERBALLY regardless of the fact that they've "created a separate and specific electronic signature screen only about the annual fee billing policy and we require the new member to initial this page." If his staff fails to inform the customer of accurate information regarding the fee, doesn't provide any paperwork & has zero information available to the customer other than their word; it's completely unacceptable to have the staff mislead customers & require members to initial any pages based on the misinformation that they've providedThe refund policy is great because that would mean that he owes me a full refundThe agreement was initially given to me at the time of my cancellation on 8/@ 9:28pm but only because I askedThe reason that I asked for it was because they were breaching the verbal contract originally stated to me when I signed up by forcing me to pay for the annual feeThey refused to cancel the contract until I paid a fee that I was originally told that I didn't have to pay [redacted] has since informed me that the agreement was cancelled but refuses to provide me with written confirmation as I've requestedThere was never a 'checklist' provided to meIf he's referring to their script, [redacted] / [redacted] misled me by telling me that I WOULD NOT be responsible to pay the annual fee if I cancelled within days! I'm not saying that I didn't know that the annual fee existed as [redacted] is implyingWhat I am saying is that I was told that I WOULD NOT be held responsible to pay it IF I CANCELLED WITHIN DAYS of which I didThe website indicates that "each membership has a $annual fee that will be charged days after the enrollment date" so if you cancel BEFORE days, why would the member be responsible for it? Since the sales rep doesn't have an incentive to mislead customers, why would the staff tell [redacted] that they didn't misrepresent the agreement? The only logical reason that I can think of is because I'm sure that they want to keep their jobI don't know why [redacted] feels the need to tell me how long [redacted] has worked there, how many memberships that he's sold, how they compare to their competitors, how much they invest to build and maintain their club when I, as a customer, am telling him that I was misled & not given accurate information prior to initialing the agreementIn prior communications, when he says, "When I consider everything in your email, and compare it against the facts and information I have outlined ", I don't think he's considered anything related to the "facts"; otherwise, he would understand exactly where I'm coming fromNothing that he's said is either fair nor reasonableHe has the nerve to threaten me even though his staff is incompetent, provides inaccurate information & misleads new membersI feel as if I should not be responsible for paying the annual fee as I have cancelled within the time frame verbally told to meI should not be faulted for his staff member's negligence in providing me with correct, accurate, informationHis staff members misled me at the time of sign up which is the basic characteristic of most unconscionable contracts in that one party (myself) signed the contract under situations involving pressure, lack of information, or by being misledDue to the aforementioned, the contract should be rendered null & voidI would like him to fulfill his obligation that he's outlined because he owes me a FULL REFUNDI look forward to hearing from [redacted] as to when he plans on deciding to fulfill his obligation & provide me with my full refund Regards, [redacted]
Hi [redacted] , Thank you for your patience with this matterWe have given you advanced noticed upon joining and have even pointed out in yellow the section where you have been advised of the increasesWe mail out letters one month prior as a courtesy even though you as all members alike have been given advanced notice in your agreementI've attached your agreement for both you and the Revdex.com to reviewBest, [redacted]
Through my personal experience in dealing with this company I find it a cluster f!
After trying to swim in the pool at lake harbor only to find myself overrun by kayaks, yes I said kayaks! Apparently we as members pay additional charges each month to use the pool and hot tub while the "club" leaves the pool out to 3rd party users!
This particular day it was kayak practice in a 40' pool. I had had it, I went in and cancelled my membership with the manager jenna on 4/4/2019. I was reimbursed for some of the monthly dues the company debuted from my checking account but not all. I went in a few times to again speak to the manager jenna who said they were going thru a management turnover!. On 4/17/2019 Crunch, a California Company continued to debit the $25.00 payment even after I had formally canceled the membership. I still have not received my money that was "Stolen" from my checking account! My bank says this action is fraudulent and recommended that a police report be filed and my documentation be included for a small claims lawsuit. Some of you might think "it's only $25.00 a month" but it's the principal of the matter!
As far as I'm concerned it's just another example of the California mentality, these mns invade our State of Idaho and bring all the crooked politics and shrewd & shady business practices with them!
These seedy mn should go back to California where they belong. They corrupted there State and now they are attempting to degrade our community! Think twice before you join this group of cheaters!
This review is about Crunch Park Slope. Due to an injury, I had to first suspend and then cancel my membership. Throughout the whole process, the manager assured me that if I cancelled I would get a refund for my unused months and my training sessions. After much foot dragging, I was given what I believe to be a partial refund of the months remaining, and referred to the head office regarding my training sessions. The head office could apparently only be reached via email. They (the head office) replied to my initial email, asking questions, which I replied to in a follow up email. They have since not answered any of my inquiries or attempted to resolve the issue. It has been 9 days with no response, which is completely unacceptable just from a viewpoint of common decency.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear I can not speak for the volume of training that the club providesI only know my personal experienceWe showed up twice for our appointment and both times there was no trainer available And finally when they provide us with one he was totally unqualifiedI was even told that he was let go and no longer working for themRegarding the contract we were never given the document at the time we signed up for the serviceThe club just required our signature on an electronic padFor all what I was told that was to authorize the charges on the automatic credit card payment and to agree to the use of the facility terms and conditions To me this is misleading and violation by itselfThis club caused us damage way more than the refund I am asking forI simply do not trust their practice at all We walked to this place twice and I am paying them $for itI will not allow them to collect more than this amountTo this moment I did not post any reviews telling my experienceBut if this continues I definitely willThis gym may be good for athletic people but definitely not for average JoeThank you Revdex.com for doing this on our behalf, I greatly appreciate it
