The District Manager for this location has left voicemails and is now trying to reach out via email to discuss with member but no reply has been received at this time

Crunch refunded my money of the 15th of July but on the 16th of July it was deducted from my account balancing it out to $Redo the refundI can provide my bank statement that says you guys refunded and then deducted it

[redacted] both enrolled at Crunch [redacted] on Feb 6, 2015, both on a Peak membership Their memberships required them to pay their first months dues at the time of enrollment, and an annual fee that was to be billed days later Apart from these obligations their memberships continue month to month until they cancel On Feb 22, 201r [redacted] and [redacted] both signed cancellation forms at Crunch, and both of their memberships are now cancelled There are no notes of records of any kind showing that either [redacted] or [redacted] have notified Crunch of their intent to cancel Because of this their memberships have continued to accrue additional monthly dues.I would like to resolve this matter for both of them, and will agree to waive all late fees and past dues that have accumulated as long as they both pay the annual fee they owe from when they joined last year ($39) and one month of dues ($19.95), for a total of $each.I have placed notes in the system to this effect, so if they simply stop by the Crunch in [redacted] and pay this amount we will then close their accounts and waive the $in past dues and late fees

I did not find any new information from the customer in her latest reply However, the relevant facts in this case are quite simple and straightforward [redacted] came into Crunch Fitness on June 28, She inquired about joining, and our staff reviewed the membership options [redacted] decided to enroll on a membership, she provided us with all of her contact information, she signed and initialed in different places to confirm that she did in fact intend to become a member, she provided us with a credit card to bill her initial payment and to bill her for her future dues and annual fee payment While [redacted] now claims she was never shown any of our pricing material I find this to be preposterous since there is no way any person could know which of our memberships to choose unless they were shown the pricing presentation pages, all of which clearly explain about the fees and total costs [redacted] claims with certainty that it was our staff that misrepresented the terms, never considering the possibility that perhaps she simply did not pay attention or understand what was being told to her Misunderstandings do happen, and it would be disingenuous to not consider this possibility.Of course when misunderstandings do occur the written agreement is the place you go to determine the facts [redacted] does not dispute that she came into the club and inquired about joining, and she does not dispute that she chose to join, or that she signed and initialed in different places, confirming that she understood and accepted the membership terms [redacted] also does not dispute the fact that she then used the gym for her personal workouts during the months of June and July, or that she utilized the guest privileges that came with her membership, bringing both her son and her husband to the gym for workouts There is no indication that [redacted] ever had any issue with Crunch until Aug 4, when she came to the club and requested to cancel It was at this time that [redacted] was reminded that she would need to pay her annual fee in order to cancel [redacted] then claimed she was unaware of the annual fee, so she asked for a copy of her agreement to see if it in fact did state this fee was required Of course that is precisely what the agreement stated It was only at this point in time that Ms [redacted] then inquired why she did not get a copy of the agreement emailed to her when she joined In fact the contract was emailed to her the moment she signed the agreement, but it never dawned on the member to inform us that she did not receive it until August While it would be perfectly within our rights to require [redacted] to fulfill her obligations under the agreement, I am willing to waive her annual fee, and refund her 100% of the entire enrollment fee and her first months dues, but only as long as [redacted] , her husband, and her son pay Crunch the standard guest fee for the times they used the club They used the club a total of times, so with the guest fee of $per visit that would equal $ Upon receipt of these guest fees Crunch [redacted] will waive the annual fee and refund 100% of all money paid for the membership

Unethical harassment for money for services not used and making it difficult to halt those services Read the negative reviewsMy issue isn't a one time thingI had a membership about a year ago and enjoyed it when I did go, but due to lack of health, time, & finances I had to take a breakI put the account on hold, paid the $annual fee for that year just in case I were to be able to start againI wanted to just cancel but they pushed for me just to put it on holdI agreedAs it turns out going back to the gym wasn't an optionSo what would a business do if the customer does not pay further "dues"...they cancel the membershipCommon sense and honestThis company has neither of those attributesThey started calling almost daily for more moneyI don't go to the gym and haven't for over a yearWhy would I give you more money? Instead of cancelling my membership(which you have to jump through hoops to do) they decided to continue charging and put me into collections

Boost Fitness has provided all necessary access to the facility as agreed upon for membership and isn't at fault on the membership plan given to [redacted] with the terms he agreed to when joining online on July 25, As stated in the previous explanation, all fees including the annual fee and monthly rate are detailed on both the membership page as well as on the online join now pageIn contacting [redacted] for the 30+ days his account was delinquent our staff gave ample time to allow for an explanation and discussion of the membership that is still within the month term he agreed to upon joining that is both listed on the membership page and online join now pageThere are no hidden fees or terms buried on our website, and the information on the terms are continuous from page to page with joining onlineAs stated in the previous response, we have been accommodating to this member by canceling the membership early without penalty, but without refund of the agreed upon payments already processed as part of the month membershipIn the event that the approval for early cancellation hadn't been received the only recourse for cancellation would be for medical reasons provided a doctor's documentation

I am rejecting this response because: Joel and I spoke on the phone a few times, and we did come to an agreement that I would finish my sessions as per the contract, but Joel was supposed to call me with a time and trainer that I could work with or the trainer he was supposed to set me up with was going to call meI had already been working with a trainer and Joel acted like he didn't know that when we spokeI'm so frustrated with this business and this has been an extremely disappointing first experience with a gymI don't know that I'll ever deal with a gym again for fear of dealing with this ridiculousnessI just want what I'm told is going to happen to actually happen! I did sign up for crunch and then I had a health issue and work schedule issue that I told them I am can willing my membership and a am cancelling the membership right away days after We signed up and that month fee is acceptable to be charge and they they continue to charge us the membership inspite the cancellation and did find out only after the credit card was cancelled and now they re asking to pay the rest of the membership fee for more months We never visited the gym since we signed up that day visit the entire time I need them to cancel and stop asking me to pay something I did not use and or cancelled membership [redacted]

When this member joined she was told of the annual fee at least timesI have sent her screen grabs on different screens where it CLEARLY states there is an annual fee and how much it is.I have been corresponding with this member and even though she is in a year contract I offered to cancel her membershipI will not refund a fee that is clearly stated in her paperwork, in the club and onlineCrunch fitness has over active 700,members who have joined, paid their annual fee and continue to be loyal and happy membersPer here contract, I have the ability to demand payment in fullI have let ther know twice that I would allow her to cancel and not be charged any additional fees but I am not refunding any fees that were legally chargedUsing terminology like Bait and Switch is offensive and she should be practicing proactive listening and reading when the terms of the contract are right in your face and not hidden

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: Bold faced lies by the person writing the responseI have been in contact with numerous other former customers who have had the same experience when attempting to cancel at crunchThis business continues to financiallypunish people who try and cancelMysteriously the Jenifer that has never been employed at crunch, signed my piece of paper cancelling my membership, suddenly worked there in 2015? Their reviews are filled with former employees, and customers who apparently have an ax to grind with them for no apparent reason? I have sent an email to this member and asked her to call the managers in the club to get this resolved There is no record of this member ever cancelling her membership Cancelling a membership at Crunch is a simple process The member can either come to the club and sign a cancellation form or they can mail in a letter requesting the cancellation via US mail, and we recommend sending via certified mail so the will be a receipt for the memberAlso, this member mentions another member also wanting to cancel, but there is no information on the identity of this other member We have asked [redacted] to help identify this other memberOnce we connect with [redacted] we will try to settle this matter immediately, and I will contact the BB when this is accomplished so that this case can be closed
