Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Godaddy's statement that they informed me that they would trouble shoot the matter if I would provide them the original message is ridiculous They must not have read the chatsupport record in regard to this matter I have also recently provided to the company an email message header for a message that took weeks in delivery This was a separate issue provided to Godaddy to assist them in ferreting out their problems in the email area The issue regarding my complaint of non-delivery of several messages has not been addressed, nor have they addressed the continued insistence on their part that I must resolve the issue with the receiving end of the messages Regards, [redacted]
Thank you for the opportunity to address our customer's concerns Upon conducting business with GoDaddy, our customer acknowledged and accepted our agreements, found at https://www.godaddy.com/legal-agreements.aspx On April 4, 2017, via an online transaction our customer attempted to purchase the domain name in question through GoDaddy’s Expired Domains Auction ServiceThe expired domain name was clearly marked on the site and include the date of their expiration Our customer was subsequently notified that the domain name had been redeemed by the original registrant RESOLUTION: GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service During the typical domain expiration life-cycle, a domain that has expired and has not been renewed may be placed as part of an “Expired Domain Auction” on GoDaddy’s auction siteDomains purchased in an expired domain auction require the auction bid, plus cost of a one year domain registration renewal, be paid after winning the auction Bidding on an expired domain auction does not guarantee that the bidder will acquire the domain name, as the original registrant may still recover the domain, as outlined in the following article: https://www.godaddy.com/help/what-happens-after-domain-names-expire- Thank you again for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by our customer Kindest regards, John M [redacted] Office of the CEO - GoDaddy / [redacted] Style Definitions */
The business' response was fairly generic and irrelevant. As an Australian charity, when we set up the domain name in 2014, the currency chosen, used and billed was Australian Dollars, and signed as "$".When we came to renew in 2016, we were fully entitled to expect that the "$" sign meant Australian Dollars Instead, without our knowledge or consent, the billing currency was changed to US Dollars We were misled and deceived by Go Daddy, because it failed to disclose to us in writing when offering the renewal or on the telephone, when we called a Sydney, Australia telephone number to renew, that "$" or "Dollars" meant something other than Australian Dollars. The fact that we have moved the registrar of the domain names to someone else is also irrelevant to the dispute and our claim, and simply reflected our deep distrust of an organisation which could so easily deceive its customers and then refuse to fix the problem
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be mostly satisfactory to me They have finally issued the refund and so, while I'm disappointed with the struggle to achieve what their representative promised as it was excessive, I will consider this matter resolved Regards, [redacted]
Thank you for the opportunity to address our customer's concerns.Upon conducting business with GoDaddy, our customer acknowledged and accepted our agreements, found at https://www.godaddy.com/legal-agreements.aspx.On July 17, 2017, our customer purchased a Deluxe Managed WordPress plan for a 6-month termOn February 17, 2018, per our customer's account preferences, GoDaddy was instructed not to automatically renew the hosting plan and did not do so in good faith to honor its agreements with our customerGoDaddy sent email notices about the expiration as well as the failed billingsGoDaddy provided days of service at no cost following expiration and provided an additional days of service in a suspended statusIn total, days of service without payment were provided prior to cancellationThe hosting was canceled on March 9, due to nonpayment. When a hosting account is cancelled, GoDaddy may retain the data for a limited time; the content is stored on servers that GoDaddy uses for disaster recoveryPer our terms of service (to which our customer agreed), it is our customer's responsibility to maintain independent backup copies of data uploaded to their GoDaddy hosting accountThe reason we charge a recovery attempt fee not a punitive, rather, our administrators must perform data recovery work to see if the deleted content can be restoredIf our customer has their own backups, no restore fee needs to be paid.RESOLUTION:GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service. As a one-time courtesy, GoDaddy will reduce the restore fee from $to $If our customer wishes to restore their site, they will need to contact our support teams at 480-505-to move forward.Thank you again for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by our customer.Kindest regards,Ken C [redacted] Office of the CEO - GoDaddy

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Godaddy claims to have sent an email on 23rd JanIt was received on 24th Jan (I am in India and am hrs ahead) Saturday post close of business24th and 25th were weekend and 26th Jan was a national holiday (Pres [redacted] was in India for republic day on 26th Jan)Like all businesses, we resumed work on 28th Jan, when we realized we have been locked out.Since then I have been repeatedly requesting to restore access so that files not needed can be deletedI have also said I would like to move two sites out from godaddy to another host and need the databases for the move to be seamless, however even after being our host for more than years (without any major infractions), godaddy refuses to allow us to move out sites to another host.Deleting cache files via ftp is taking very longeach day the sites are down, rankings and all associated marketing activities fall behind, not to mention the hurt on serpsIf this is the way godaddy wants to conduct business with a customer who has been with them, since the time they were not even in India, so be itI would have expected a response from the ceo office to reflect maturity and status of the chair, however seems even the ceo is not concerned with what a customer is asking for and what he has already said in his emails to his staffThese are your rules that I have accepted so you claimWere they the same when I took hosting from you before 2009? Does anyone read the small print at the time of purchasing or just before payment is completedDo you read the fine print on a bottle of laxative when you are buying for use? I am not saying I will not follow them, all I am saying is I have been with you many years, I need access to control panel for me to move two sites out to another hostI am already in the process of deleting cache files and files not required, however treatment like this is neither warranted nor appreciated, especially when there seem to be multiple delivery issues with your services including uptime (which was also brought to your customer service's notice multiple times, including in writing) Against a guarantee of 99%+, I received 88%.It would be better if you helped resolve the issue rather than throwing agreements in my face Regards, [redacted]
