I am confident that the car scratch happened in the car wash because the scratch was not there before the car wash and I noticed the scratch after the car washThey have no way of proving that the scratch did not happen at the car wash locationAll they are saying is that there are no other claims at the same time -maybe people have not reported and does not prove in any way that the scratch on my car was not made by the car wash equipment
I see the response is from the same 3rd party company that oversees liability claims on behalf of Costco and from the language, I can infer the reply is coming from the same person who denied my claim when I contacted Costco
Unfortunately there is no way I can reach Costco customer service regarding this as complaints regarding the car wash are always directed to this company - whose only job is to deny liability claims against CostcoIt is really shameful on part of a company like Costco to do these things.
I also saw that this car wash location has previous reported instances of scratches made to car during car wash in yelpMore in https://www.yelp.com/biz/costco-car-wash-poway
One of the incidents was reported on October 15, and it is similar to the experience I'm going through.
This just tells that car wash equipment at this particular location has a history of causing damage and scratches to cars on and off and Costco is hiding behind this company to deny legitimate liability claimsWondering why is Costco risking its reputation and stooping so low to deny minor claims like this - the scratch on my car is not big enough but the damage this experience has do to Costco's image and reputation in my mind is really very big.

Costco is not aware of any issues with this particular model but based on the fact that this members television is only 5-months old I don't foresee here stopping here and she has purchased a lot from us over the course of her membershipI would suggest that we contact her and offer a $cash
card towards the purchase of a new unit since the damages can be somewhat subjectiveThe member has purchased a fair amount from Costco over the course of her membership and this allows us to retain a member in good faith. Please let me know if you need anything else on our side Franny is out of the office this afternoon but, we can issue the cash card in the morning once members has agreed and is contacted. The member has agreed upon $cash card for compensation, and the cash card has been mailed to the members home address
