We appreciate you forwarding your concern to us We look forward to responding to and resolving this matter. When you purchased your United Car Care extended service contract, it was made clear in the sales call that your coverage was through United Car Care United Car Care requires proof of factory scheduled maintenance to show that you are taking care of the maintenance of your vehicle properly According to United Car Care's notes, the receipt that was sent in had an altered date and invoice number, and therefore, was not accepted per the contracts terms and conditions If you have any complaints regarding claims procedures, approvals or denials; please direct those to United Car Care, [redacted] through the DENVER Revdex.com, as stated in your contract United Car Care has full authority over claims procedures You stated in your call into our office on November 28, that you wished to cancel you coverage Please let us know if you would like to cancel your coverage or pursue a complaint directed toward United Car Care through the Denver Revdex.com to resolve this matter United Car Care is an A+ rated Revdex.com Accredited Administrator and responds to any complaint they receive through the Denver Revdex.com in a quick and efficient manner. We will not cancel your coverage unless we receive your authorization to do so If you decide you would like to take the option of cancellation, you can email that request to [email protected]
Final Business Response / [redacted] (1500, 9, 2015/11/13) */ Thank you for your correspondence regarding Ms [redacted] 's complaintWe appreciate the opportunity to respond to this issue We do believe that the mailer is clear as to what service we are offering, if the consumer reads it The mail piece states, "This letter is to inform you that IF your factory warranty has expired, you will be responsible for paying for any repairs"It does not state the vehicle's factory warranty IS expiredIt then goes on to offer the OPTION to protect the vehicle beyond the factory warranty The administrators we market for, American Auto Shield, United Car Care and Interstate National Dealer Services, are Revdex.com Accredited and A+ ratedThis is exactly what the representative Ms [redacted] spoke with for a little under minutes stated Each administrator offers several levels of mechanical breakdown coverage based on that consumer's vehicle's specific make, model and mileage and have collectively paid over a billion dollars in covered repair claims If you consider our sales vscomplaint ratio, it is consistently less than 1% We have removed Ms [redacted] from our mailing list and she should receive nothing further from our company We hope this helps address and clarify this concernPlease let us know if you need any additional information
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention However, we have no outbound calls to the number you have listed in this complaint.Often times consumers are receiving phone calls from one of the many other marketing companies out there that do "cold call" consumers; then they receive one of our mailed advertisements and mistakenly assume that the phone calls were coming from our company as well That is not the case.We will be happy to remove your information from our mailing list However, CarShield has not placed any calls to the number listed in this complaint.Respectfully,Consumer Relations

Thank you for bringing this to our attention We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matterWe reviewed the calls in question and found that on June 20th, when Ms [redacted] called our office, she was given proper cancellation procedures by our CS representative She called back into our office that same day and spoke to one of our newer representativesThis representative made an error and stated that Ms [redacted] would get a full refund of her down payment, rather than stating the fact that she would get a prorated refund, as she was past her initial day full refund period Our newer representative told Ms [redacted] that she would receive a full refund of her down payment and a prorated refund of the one monthly payment she made.We do apologize for this error We will refund Ms [redacted] in full for the down payment she made and the one monthly payment as a gesture of good will Respectfully.....Customer Relations
We appreciate your concern for your parents and do want to resolve this matter in an amicable manner.Ms [redacted] did call our company on December 29, and set up an extended service contract for their Kia Soul This coverage would protect their vehicle until December 28, or until the odometer reached 136,miles This coverage would have protected their Kia well past the manufacturer warranty. However, if the ***'s do not want the coverage, we will be happy to refund them in full The prorated refund due was mailed on September 29th to their [redacted] address We will mail another check for the remainder of the monies they have paid in to their coverage to the same address They should receive the additional refund of $in to business days mailed to the same P O Box.Respectfully....Customer Relations
Thank you for bringing this to our attention We appreciate the opportunity to respond. Our company sends out mailed advertising, giving consumers the opportunity to purchase an extended service contract for their new or used vehicles They are simply advertisements, like the many others we all receive in the mail each day. There are dozens of marketers that send out similar advertisements regarding the purchase of an extended service contract for your vehicles Our company, CarShield, is not affiliated in any way with the other marketing companies out there The mailed advertisements sent on our behalf all say CarShield, accompanied by our address, in the upper right or left hand corner. It would be helpful if you could provide us with the ID number that would have appeared on the mailer, so we can determine if it was sent on our behalf and when it was sentWe will be happy to remove your contact information you provided in this complaint from our mailing list immediately We apologize for any inconvenience the receipt of the mailer has caused.Respectfully,Consumer Relations

Thank you for bringing this to our attention We appreciate the opportunity to respond and resolve this matter. We have never spoken to Ms [redacted] at the number she has provided We also do not have record of anyone by her name calling our officeOur mailers say CarShield at the top of every one, along with listing our address When you call the number on one of our mailers, you speak to a representative that politely gives information regarding an extended service contract on your new or used vehicle The extended service contracts we can offer are similar the the extended service contracts you can purchase from your dealership when you buy a new vehicle However, we can usually offer the same coverage at a lower cost to the consumerOur representatives would never offer anything other than information on extended service contracts We respectfully request that this complaint be closed as invalid.Thank you
