Thank you for bringing this to our attention We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.It appears that when Mr [redacted] read the mailed advertisement, he was able to determine that it was regarding the opportunity to purchase a service contract for his vehicle The information provided in the mail piece is important to individuals who wish to protect themselves from costly repairs if their vehicle suffers a mechanical breakdown The administrators we market for paid well over million dollars in covered repair claims, just last year alone This is a valuable service to our many customers.As Mr [redacted] has expressed disinterest in purchasing a service contract, we have removed his information from our mailing list He should receive no additional mailers from our company We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.Respectfully,CarShield
Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/02/24) */ Mr and Mrs [redacted] purchased coverage for their Lexus on July 11, It stated, in the mailed advertisement they received, that Auto Service Agency is NOT affiliated with any manufacturer or dealershipIt was also stated in the sales call, that the extended coverage for the Lexus would be through United Car Care, an A+ rated Revdex.com accredited administrator Mr [redacted] called to cancel their coverage on February 8, This is a year and months after purchase...well outside of the first day full refund period Nr [redacted] coverage was cancelled as he requested and he has received a prorated refund totaling $2, He received a check for 295.00....refund of his down payemnt; and a check for $1,from United Car Care for the remaining portion of his prorated refund We believe Mr [redacted] misunderstood that he would be receiving two checks, and filed this complaint after receiving the first check for his down payment We consider this matter as resolved Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (2000, 7, 2016/02/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Thank you for bringing this to our attention We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.Mr [redacted] 's account cancelled for non payment, after one of our representatives called him on April 10th and April 11th and left a message letting him know his account was past due The last payment we received from Mr [redacted] was on March 3, 2017.His account cancelled for non payment on May 5, As stated in the contract and during the sales call, no refunds are due if an account cancels for non payment.Mr [redacted] did not call our office until June 8, to inquire about his account This was over a month after he cancelled for non payment.Again, when an account cancels for non payment, no refund is due
Ms [redacted] has only called our office on August 2, The two inbound calls we received from Ms [redacted] on August are the only calls we have received from the number listed in this complaint.If Ms [redacted] has received prior mailed advertisements and has called to request removal from their mailing list, they were from other marketing companies There are dozens of marketing companies that send out mailers regarding extended service contracts She has not called our company before August 2nd.During the first call, Ms [redacted] asked to be removed from our mailing list Our representative agreed immediately to do that Ms [redacted] then called a few minutes later and asked the second representative to remove her from our mailing list She was upset that he could still pull up her information by the ID number on the mail piece she received.When a consumer requests removal from our mailing list, we immediately do so However, the ID number will remain in our system with the notation that the consumer wishes to receive no further mailed advertisements.Our company does not sell or distribute consumer information.We apologize for any inconvenience the receipt of the mailed advertisement has caused Ms***Respectfully

Thank you for bringing this to our attention We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.The mailed advertisements we send state, "CarShield is an independent nationwide company marketing vehicle service contracts on behalf of leading third party administrators CarShield is not affiliated with any auto dealer or manufacturer"All the notices we send have this statement listed on them.Perhaps Mr [redacted] received a mailer from one of the many other marketing companies that send similar mailed advertisements If Mr [redacted] can send us the Customer ID number that appears on the mailers we send, we could the determine if the mailer was sent on our behalf We will remove Mr [redacted] from our mailing list with the information he has provided However, the ID number would be of great assistance in the removal process if he can provide it.Thank you

Thank you for bringing this to our attention We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint.Ms [redacted] purchased month to month extended powertrain coverage for her Mercedes in May of It was explained that this is powertrain coverage and the covered components were addressed Ms [redacted] was also mailed a copy of her contract that lists covered components.Ms [redacted] has presented claims for components that are not listed as covered under the powertrain month to month coverage her Mercedes qualified for Ms [redacted] mentions an attachment That attachment did not come through If she would like to send the attachment for us to review, she is welcome to send it to [redacted] This is month to month coverage, just like car insurance If Ms [redacted] is not happy with her coverage for any reason; she may cancel at any time She just needs to let us know.RespectfullyCustomer Relations
