I am rejecting this response because: I called to get information about a flier I received,coverage was discussed and I declined.I never requested coverage for my malibu. Neither is [redacted] where I do business for my vehicles. I have requested a full refund of funds taken from my account that were not authorized.

United Car Care Diamond Prime service contract.  United Car Care is an A+ rated Revdex.com Accredited company and has been in business for over 35 years.  They understand that their customers purchase their service contracts in good faith, and they appreciate their trust in them.  Therefore, in order to treat all customers fairly and continue to stay in business for their customers, UCC can only authorize claims that fall within the Terms and Conditions of the Vehicle Service Contract.Your service contract has been cancelled as you requested.  Your prorated refund, as outlined in your contract's terms and conditions, comes to 433.25.  $150.00 was credited back to your card  on January 29, 2017 and the remainder of your refund, $283.25, was mailed to your [redacted] address on January 31, 2018.RespectfullyCustomer Relations

As we are the marketer that sold Mr. [redacted] the American Auto Shield contract he purchased for his 2008 BMW 535I, we have no authority over claims procedures, approvals or denials. American Auto Shield, as the administrator of the coverage, has...

full authority over claims procedures.
That being said, we did contact American Auto Shield to obtain information regarding any claims Mr. [redacted] has submitted.
There have been 5 claims submitted. Three of those claims were denied because the failed parts were not listed as covered in Mr. [redacted]'s contract.
Two Claims for fuel pump, rental, and injectors were covered. Total paid out to repair facilities for these claims comes to $2334.90.
Mr. [redacted] states, in his complaint, that American Auto Shield/Auto Service Agency has not done anything for him and that clearly is not the case.
If Mr. [redacted] has any complaints regarding claim issues, those would need to be directed to American Auto Shield at the address listed in his contract of [redacted] Arvada, CO XXXXX. American Auto Shield has an A+ rating with the Denver Revdex.com and I'm sure they will be able to resolve any issue Mr. [redacted] has regarding his claims. However, when a component is listed as not covered, there is nothing they can do.
If Mr. [redacted] would like to cancel his coverage, we can help him with that. However, paid claims are deducted from any prorated refund Mr. [redacted] would receive, and he has had over $2300.00 in paid claims. Very little, if any refund would be due.
Mr. [redacted] can also choose to keep his coverage for any future covered repairs that come up. His coverage takes him out to January 8, 2020 or until he reached 162,452 miles.

The problem I have is that between the 2 company neither wants to accept responsibility. When speaking to American Auto Shield they tell you that Auto Service are the ones who is making decision on what is or is not approved. If no one else see that this is a problem for the customer to keep being bounced back and forward with the 2 companies. that in it self should warrant a refund. The passing the buck has gone to far, one of you take the responsibility and take care of the customer. You say $2300 has been paid and the problem I have with that is, I only understand one claim that you approved was with "LIKE PARTS" and for me to get the BMW parts that should go in a luxury car I paid the difference which came up to almost about $500 out of my pocket. So, any $2300 that you claim you paid, I sure did not see it.

Ms. [redacted] has only called our office on August 2, 2016.  The two inbound calls we received from Ms. [redacted] on August 2 are the only calls we have received from the number listed in this complaint.If Ms. [redacted] has received prior mailed advertisements and has called to request removal from their...

mailing list, they were from other marketing companies.  There are dozens of marketing companies that send out mailers regarding extended service contracts.  She has not called our company before August 2nd.During the first call, Ms. [redacted] asked to be removed from our mailing list.  Our representative agreed immediately to do that.  Ms. [redacted] then called a few minutes later and asked the second representative to remove her from our mailing list.  She was upset that he could still pull up her information by the ID number on the mail piece she received.When a consumer requests removal from our mailing list, we immediately do so.  However, the ID number will remain in our system with the notation that the consumer wishes to receive no further mailed advertisements.Our company does not sell or distribute consumer information.We apologize for any inconvenience the receipt of the mailed advertisement has caused Ms. [redacted]. Respectfully....

We appreciate your concern for your parents and do want to resolve this matter in an amicable manner.Ms. [redacted] did call our company on December 29, 2016 and set up an extended service contract for their Kia Soul.  This coverage would protect their vehicle until December 28, 2024 or until the odometer reached 136,000 miles.  This coverage would have protected their Kia well past the manufacturer warranty.However, if the [redacted]'s do not want the coverage, we will be happy to refund them in full.  The prorated refund due was mailed on September 29th to their [redacted] address.  We will mail another check for the remainder of the monies they have paid in to their coverage to the same address.  They should receive the additional refund of $375.85 in 5 to 7 business days mailed to the same P O Box.Respectfully....Customer Relations

Ms. [redacted] purchased the extended service contract for her Nissan Altima in June of 2014. She has been under active coverage for more than a year.
American Auto Shield, the administrator/obligor of her coverage, show no claims being called...

in or submitted.
As stated in the service contract and in the initial sales call, tires are excluded from coverage unless damaged by a road hazard. Routine maintenance such as oil changes break pads and tire replacement due to wear is not covered.
This is excellent coverage through American Auto Shield, an A Rated Revdex.com Accredited Administrator/Obligor.
If Ms. [redacted] would like to cancel her coverage she will receive a prorated refund. We will agree to waive the cancellation fee as a gesture of goodwill.
Ms. [redacted] will receive her refund check from American Auto Shield in approximately 15 business days.
